Stop saying…
“Psychotic/Schizophrenic” when you mean: unpredictable, unhinged, unreal, etc.
“Bipolar” when you mean: polarized, scattered, fickle, unstable, etc.
“Delusional” when you mean: unrealistic, unreasonable, close-minded, stubborn, etc.
“[insert “R” slur in relation to intellectual disabilities]” when you mean: unreasonable, unintelligent/ridiculous, immature, etc.
“OCD” when you mean: particular, neat, overbearing, etc.
“Narcissistic” when you mean selfish, abusive, manipulative, etc.
Note: I’m NOT saying that these are synonymous. This is also not an exhaustive list.

to my psychotic/paranoid/OCD/other friends - you might start seeing posts in the next few days about how the rapture supposedly happened or is going to happen very soon. a group of evangelical “rapture watchers” think the rapture happened 9/22/23 for a handful of reasons, such as the dates lining up in a way that’s somehow significant.
i promise the rapture didn’t happen. i don’t personally believe in the rapture and i have nothing against those who do, but it for sure didn’t already happen. if it did everyone would know. there would be tons of footage. anyone who tries to claim it did happen or that they know the date is either lying or misguided.

i don't know what psychotic person needs to hear this, but it is in fact okay for you to be psychotic. it's not your fault. you're not asking for it. it's something that's occurring to you. trying to force it to stop happening ALL the time is going to drain you way too much. some days you just have symptoms and it's alright. sometimes you just have to go with the flow. you're not a fuck up if you have episodes, days, weeks, months of not being able to hold it together and mask your paranoia, intrusive thoughts, delusions, hallucinations, catatonia, confusion, etc. it's alright to just be mentally ill for a bit. i love you

Jokes I don’t think are funny,
Jokes about when mixed ppl don’t look mixed
Jokes about how “borderline” or manic someone is acting
Jokes about “the voices”
When someone jokes about how they haven’t eaten all day, like okay??
When someone jokes about another persons mental illness when they haven’t gotten permission.
When someone jokes about wanting to go to a mental hospital, saying “I need the vacation” “silly people vacation” etc, treating it like it’s not severely traumatic. Stop joking about that shit.
Oh and stop fucking joking about having ptsd, it’s not fucking funny, shut the fuck up
I can’t stop anyone from making these jokes but can y’all shut the fuck up sometimes? Like unless you’ve experienced it, when you have the trauma it’s funny. But when you just say that shit for fun it’s so fucking annoying.

neurodiversity, famous for being something both healthcare professionals and average joes are very normal about and accepting of,
"people are more accepting of mental illness/neurodiversity than they are physical disability! you can get excused for mental health reasons but not flare-ups for physical conditions!" 1) we are siblings in arms it is pointless to fight like this 2) no they fucking don't. no they really, truly don't.

Welcome to our askblog for people to infodump about demonized topics - for example NPD or DID. Also a place for people to share general information, rambles, advice and kindness.
You can share the socially unacceptable sides of your disorders, infodump about your 'creepy' special interests, ramble about the interesting parts of your disorders, or just share positivity and community with those like you.
We accept those who self diagnose, those who are undiagnosed, and those who are professionally diagnosed.
Please write what disorders you want us to tag your post with.
Run by @the-hydra-sys.
If you want commentary on the content of your ask, please specify, otherwise we will not comment.
DNI:
- Those who shame or harass others for what they cannot control.
- Those who believe that some disorders are 'evil' and make people with them inherently bad.
- Those who knowingly spread misinformation.
Endogenics, you are not welcome.
Pro-Endogenics, you are welcome as long as you respect that this is an anti-endogenic space.

‘letting my intrusive thoughts win’
shut the fuck up.
you’re referring to impulsive thoughts, intrusive thoughts are undesirable and often horrific for the person experiencing them. you dying your hair randomly is not an intrusive thought.
if i let my intrusive thoughts dictate my actions, id be in jail for a long fucking time.

You literally harassed me and others for existing in a way you don't understand... What.
Tumblr media
You literally told me and others that our existence means we support conversion therapy
You literally tried to abled-explain OSDD just because you misread the diagnostic criteria and didn't understand that one of the presentations of OSDD is essentially "DID but not meeting enough of the criteria to be diagnosed with DID" (and again this specific presentation of OSDD is literally called partial dissociative identity disorder in the ICD)
You are literally STILL talking about me and still saying that my identity and experiences are all delusions
You also can't seem to understand why or how someone can have commorbid disorders. Like.. wow a disabled person who got traumatized enough to develop a dissociative disorder also has OTHER trauma-based disorders? Wow, who would have guessed.. wow an autistic person also has disorders that are highly commorbid with it like ADHD and language disability? Wow.. so surprising. Wow someone who frequently had (and still does bc again, since IG you need to know my life story to deem me valid, I was entirely neglected in the disability department) self-injury stims where they banged their head against stuff got problems because of that? Wow almost as if that's how the world works..
Like I'm sorry you're so surprised that someone who can't do iADLs and some bADLs has a lot of disorders. Almost as if that's completely normal for severe disability...

I wish some ‘mental health advocates’ would shut the fuck up if their ‘advocacy’ doesn’t include /all/ mental illnesses.

Are there any other people with a metric shit ton of issues who fit into a lot of labels/diagnoses?
Like I have Autism, ADHD, MDD and a dissociative disorder diagnosed and I'm in the process of getting my Tourette's and OCD diagnosed as well, but I fully fit the criteria for anorexia nervosa, ASPD, NPD, BPD, CPTSD and Schizophrenia as well.
Now the personality disorders can't be diagnosed yet because I'm not 18 yet (just a few more months fellas) but I fit the criteria to the point it impacts my daily life and definitely goes beyond normal teen behaviour, and I've just been keeping my ED hidden so that won't be diagnosed any time soon either.
I know that diagnoses are frameworks and the human mind is complex. And I know that any neurodivergency often has a lot of co-occuring disorders. It's not that odd, especially since all the labels I fit can be divided into groups that often develop together.
But it just feels like so much. And it's not like some of these I only have some symptoms of, I literally check 95% if not 100% of the boxes for Every. Single. One. I'm just so worried I'm faking.
It feels so annoying. OCD traits convinced me I had Munchausen's at some point. It's so exhausting to have this much wrong with me. I can barely function.
Please tell me I'm not the only one, because I feel like I'm going insane. I can't seriously have all this wrong with me, right?
