relapse is not a moral failure. substance use and addiction are not a moral failure. mental illness is not a moral failure. disability is not a moral failure. you have a health condition. you are struggling. recovery is not mean to be perfect, and if you're not in recovery, surviving is good too. i'm glad you're here, and i hope life treats you better soon. please know this is not your fault. you do not need to feel guilty over your own health.

Never trust a single thing your brain tells you during January.
Mental Illness gets a 500% Damage Buff for the first month of every year, don't forget that.

hey i just wanted to give a shout out to people with personality disorders real quick. your disorder doesn't make you evil, it doesnt make you an abuser, and it doesnt make you unlovable. you're just as deserving of respect, care, and support as people without personality disorders. stay safe, i love you and i hope you have a happy holiday season. we're in this together <3

Reminder: It doesn't matter if you're "behind" from others. It's alright if you feel like people have accieved more than you. Life isn't a race of who can do more in their first 30 years. Hell, I see teenagers saying they have failed or that they aren't good enough, when things like that are not in the least important. You have so many years infront of you, no one's chasing you down. Don't beat yourself up.

i don't know what psychotic person needs to hear this, but it is in fact okay for you to be psychotic. it's not your fault. you're not asking for it. it's something that's occurring to you. trying to force it to stop happening ALL the time is going to drain you way too much. some days you just have symptoms and it's alright. sometimes you just have to go with the flow. you're not a fuck up if you have episodes, days, weeks, months of not being able to hold it together and mask your paranoia, intrusive thoughts, delusions, hallucinations, catatonia, confusion, etc. it's alright to just be mentally ill for a bit. i love you

Can I get a drawing of fluttershy saying something encouraging for people who still are trying to learn with mental health issues?
Tumblr media
Learning these things takes time, and it’s completely okay if you’re still figuring it all out. For instance, when you face a setback, it doesn’t take away all the progress you’ve made—it’s just part of the journey. And reaching out for help? That’s actually a sign of strength, not weakness. Setting boundaries doesn’t mean you’re being selfish; it’s just a way of taking care of yourself. Progress can feel slow sometimes, but that’s because real change happens bit by bit. Most importantly, all the feelings you have, they’re valid. They’re part of what makes you, you. 💖
I hope this helps anon! 💕

Another thing I just realized. If you isolate, especially for a long time, and then start coming out of your shell... You're not gonna suddenly be fine with being around people, being seen by others, or having social interactions.
Whatever reason you were isolating is going to follow you. You're gonna be uncomfortable. You're going to try to hide. You're gonna have a hard time trusting others and being honest about yourself. This is natural.
Change doesn't happen over night. Taking action to put yourself in social situations is only the first step; learning how to be yourself around others and who you want in your life is a whole other ballgame. It's going to take time for you to discover how you want to exist in the world.
That's okay. It's frustrating as all hell. It's scary putting yourself out there. Sometimes it might feel like you'll never connect with someone else - that you'll always be an outsider no matter what you do. You might feel stuck and doomed, but you're not.
You are capable of growth and healing. There are people who want to be your friend, who will love and support you in ways you didn't think was possible. They will be patient with you as you struggle and change. Not only that, but they'll be proud of all the progress you made, and continue to make every day.
I say this to you, and myself. I'm experiencing this firsthand, and I've been being so mean to myself for not living up to whatever standards I've placed on myself. I can't push myself to be someone I'm not ready to be, to do things I'm not ready to do. I only have today, and who I am today.
So everyday, I can put some effort into exploring myself as a social creature. I can be more gentle and patient with myself through the process. It's not going to perfect; I'm just one person, and you are too. We'll both be okay and get through this. We are allowed to take things one step at a time, one day at a time.
One day we'll be able to look back on where we are now and see how much we've grown, how much happier we are. Until then, we'll hold on for the ride and keep going. ♡

Hey, take a break from everything for a second. Get a water, get some food or a snack, check in with your self/selves.
Are you starting to feel triggered?
Do you feel happy or at least neutral? And if you’re neutral, does it feel dull/numbing?
Have you eaten any time recently? Drank anything?
When did you last use the restroom or practiced hygiene?
It’s not healthy to constantly make your mind active with disasters, discourse, and all other things. You need to reconnect with your own world while understanding the things happening around you. It’s really easy to make this imbalanced.
Just remember to breathe.
