Before you go and formulate strong opinions about other's identities, take some time to stop and actually have a conversation with those people. For example:
Don't understand physical therians? Talk to some before deciding you think they're delusional.
Don't understand endo systems? Talk to some before claiming they are fakers.
Don't understand those whose identities are rooted in delusion? Talk to some before believing they're dangerous.
Don't understand berserker shifts? Talk to those who have them before claiming it's mental illness.
Don't understand people who are objectum or have other paraphilias? Talk to some before deciding they are disgusting.
Hate stems from misinformation. If we take the time to understand why others feel the way they do, we can avoid creating the divides that cause so much tension in our communities. We shouldn't jump to conclusions about identities when we haven't heard it straight from the people with those identities themselves. There's no way to understand exactly how someone feels without being them, so the least we can do is listen and not judge.

your daily reminder that it’s 100% completely OK to be a physical nonhuman, delusional nonhuman, clinical zoanthrope, clinical lycanthrope, holothere, transspecies, etc. and anyone who says otherwise needs to sit tf down LOL. try not to let other’s negativity get to you! i love you and you’re safe here :^) keep being you please

Here's your sign to let your identity flow peacefully outside the box. Your personality is just a concept so it makes sense that your identity doesn't completely fit any man made constructs, and that's OK!! You don't have to use labels, or you can use them all!! You can use a label just because it feels just a little like you. You can use labels even if they contradict each other. You can let your identity pour out any social standard, and just exist, exist as it is fully and freely. We are all such complex creatures, living life as it is. As long as you aren't causing harm, just let yourself be YOURSELF!!

How I look at them therian tiktoks saying "therians are people who identify as animals but we don't ACTUALLY think we're animals we know we're humans haha" :
Tumblr media
Like get yo ass outta here
(PSA: I'm not hating on these creators it's just annoying folks trying to change people's experiences and the definition of therian or otherkin to conform to non-therians/otherkins, to be 'digestible' and 'normal')

Hey, if anyone is looking for a good forum for alterhumans, nonhumans, and systems of all kinds I would definitely recommend nonhumannationalpark.boards.net.
It’s a great forum and has so many friendly beings and people. There’s never syscourse and no arguing about what being a therian/otherkin or anything else really means. Not that I’ve seen so far anyways.
I’m mentioning it because I would love to see more people active on the forum. If you haven’t seen it already I would absolutely recommend you check it out.
P.S: my user is snowy141 if you wanna find me on there <3

Shoutout to those who people don't take the time to listen to or understand.
People with stigmatised illnesses or disorders. Yes, even the "gross" ones, even the "scary" ones. Yes, even the ones that people think make others a "bad" or "unsafe" person. You do not deserve to be treated horribly due to not being understood. Your voice is valuable, and you deserve to speak--especially over the media and over the voices that demonise you.
People who are queer in "contradictory" or "non-standard" ways. You do not need to fit into boxes to be queer. People are more complicated than labels can define, and only you can define yourself. No one knows you or what you are better than you do. Don't let them take your words from you.
People who are alterhuman of all kinds--anyone who has an alternative relationship with humanity or none at all. Those who choose to become alterhuman. Those who identify physically as nonhuman. Systems of all origins and explanations, with any kind of headmate. Those with hearttypes, even if they're "problematic".
Those who present their identity and/or body differently to general society. People who wear bright colours, no colours at all, alternative clothing, do "strange" things with their hair. People who have piercings and tattoos covering every inch of their skin. People who have scars and aren't taking time out of their day to hide them. Your body is yours, and no one should dictate what you do with it.
You know who you are, you know what your identity is, and you know how you want to present it. Don't let others change you. You are valuable, because you are here.

i know i already made a post about this today, but i’m being serious when i’m saying that y’all should start providing alt/plain text and other accessibilities on your posts. this is coming from someone who personally has genuine issues reading colored texts, varied font types and sizes, typing quirks, and images with text. i understand that you may have a specific aesthetic, but that should not be prioritized over making our alterhuman community on tumblr accessible for everyone. it doesn’t have to be difficult and complex, just copy and paste everything and then set it to the original text settings. you can even put it under a cut so it doesn’t disrupt the aesthetic of your posts. and while we’re at the topic, image ids (or descriptions under “alt”!), gif warnings (especially for fast gifs), and eyestrain warnings are also some more simple things that could just be put in posts/tags to make our community more accessible for all alterhumans. and when i’m talking about alt/plain texts, i am including when you wish to make jokes. it’s upsetting when others make jokes and i’m left out because i struggle to read to the joke in the first place. i want to be able to be in on things in the community, but it’s really hard to do it because of the lack of alt text and plain text. again, understand thinking it’s pretty or thinking it looks nice but i’m also asking you to please consider making it accessible for those who have trouble reading things like this. i know it’s hard to change things about such a large community, but i’ve seen it happen before so i feel like we could try and do something like it again.
i’m especially putting this for double if you use a dni banner or do not use plain text (not censored unless it is in a way that can still be easily deciphered by either eyes or a screen reader). if i cannot read your banner, i do not know if i can interact or not, defeating the whole purpose of a dni.
lastly, if you are using colored text, me and other alterhumans that have struggles with reading that would likely appreciate if you put the tag “#colored text” on the posts using it so we can having a warning beforehand. this way, we don’t have to filter out your username or block you because both feel incredibly disrespectful to do (at least imo).
i as of right now cannot think of anything else to say, but i am open to speak about this if you do so civilly.
-purple (i’m not sure if this is actually me who wrote this, and various headmates may also show up to discuss things if anyone would like to discuss it)

12 flags with 6 equal horizontal stripes: crimson red, rose red, bright yellow, right blue, dark blue, rose red
There is a khaki circle centered in the flags, spanning from the top of the second stripe to the bottom of the fifth stripe. In each of the circles, there is a black symbol.
The symbols, in order:
a symbol similar to a fork in a path where the straight continuation is broken—part of the unbroken path is replaced by a triangle
equilateral triangle interlocking with a circle and there is a horizontal line in the center
a seven-pointed star
a heart shape interlocking with a circle and there is a diamond shape in the center
a pair of interlocking chain links
a pair of interlocking chain links in a diamond
a symbol similar to a fork in a path where the straight continuation is broken
five equally-spaced lines connected at one point—at the end of each line, the is a curve that dips down towards the center of the symbol before curling back outward into a spiral
a four-pointed star with four equally-spaced lines (two vertical and two horizontal) inside
a circle with a diamond shape (the four tips of the diamond are touching the circumference of the circle) inside— there is a circle inside of the diamond with two short vertical lines sticking out of the circumference — there is a dot at the center of the circle
a circle with a solid four pointed star centered in it
an anchor shape, but the top part (where the loop would be) is a triangle
end alt text]
The flag colors were picked from images of scarlet macaws, then color-adjusted.

New Term: Somavere
Pronunciation: soh-mah-VEHR
Definition:
Somavere is a neutral, inclusive term designed to encompass beings whose identity exists outside the conventional boundaries of "human" or "animal." It offers a way to recognize and describe identities that may not fit into the typical categories while ensuring respect for their reality.
Derived from soma (meaning body) and vere (meaning truth or essence), Somavere refers to individuals whose true identity—whether connected to the body, mind, spirit, or a combination of all three—transcends ordinary classifications. This term includes, but is not limited to:
- Non/Alterhumans: Beings whose identity extends beyond the typical human experience, whether they identify fully as nonhuman or have elements that differ from standard human traits.
- Therians: Individuals who identify as nonhuman animals, experiencing a strong connection to a specific animal species, either mentally, spiritually, physically or both.
- Otherkin: Those who identify as mythical or non-terrestrial beings, such as elves, dragons, or other fantastical creatures.
- Physical Nonhumans: People who perceive themselves as fundamentally nonhuman, not just in their mind or spirit but also in their physical reality.
- Transspecies: Individuals who experience a shift or transition in identity between species, similar to the concept of gender transition but focused on species identity. This may involve a transition from identifying as human to nonhuman or between different nonhuman identities.
- IRLs: Individuals whose identity is fully lived and expressed in the real world as nonhuman, believing they are that identity in everyday life.
- **Holotheres**: Beings who are *physically and fundamentally nonhuman in every way*. A holothere’s existence is entirely nonhuman, not just in identity but in their intrinsic nature.
- Clinical Lycanthropy: People who experience a medical condition where they believe they can or have transformed into nonhuman animals, with their identity closely tied to this perception.
- Delusional Attachments: Individuals whose attachment to their nonhuman or alternate identity is so strong that it becomes their lived reality, often stemming from delusional beliefs or conditions.
- Non/Alterhuman Headmates: Headmates within a system who identify as nonhuman or alternate beings, existing in relation to or alongside human headmates.
Purpose of Somavere:
The term Somavere serves as a way to describe beings who don’t fit into typical definitions of human or animal, but without implying that they are "other" or less valid. It is intentionally broad to include identities that might be based in the mind, spirit, body, or any combination thereof. The term does not enforce any connection to a specific physical form or transformation, making it applicable to a wide range of experiences, including those with physical nonhumanity, spiritual identification, or mental attachment to a nonhuman form.
Distinguishing Somavere:
This term provides a means to distinguish between Somaveres and beings typically recognized as animals or humans. It acknowledges that some individuals may experience their identity outside of those categories, yet it does so without implying that those recognized as animals or humans are the "default" or that Somaveres are inherently different in a way that invalidates their identity.
Somavere provides space for beings whose reality doesn’t align with conventional understandings, allowing them to exist authentically without being forced into predefined labels. Whether one identifies as an animal, a mythical being, or a physical nonhuman, Somavere respects that identity as valid and real, offering a term that encompasses the full diversity of non-normative identities.

Psychotic System Culture is...
Wondering where the line is between physical nonhumanity due to being a plural alterhuman and physical nonhumanity due to clinical zooanthropy/lycanthropy
Trying to distinguish whether your identity is tied to delusions or if you just happen to be delusional separately from your alterhumanity
Then realizing you don't give a shit because people are going to be exclusive and saneist either way, so why not just exist comfortablely and use whatever term(s) you prefer?
