Here’s a gift I painted for someone who loves to knit - a scarlet macaw sharing his colors with a white umbrella cockatoo.  This tiny (6 x 3 1/4 inches) watercolor and gouache painting is from the very beginning of 2021....feels like a million years ago lol.

This took me a while, I think i sat down, blacked out and then woke up 5 hours later to this. the cut is just cause I wanna talk about details lmao

𓇻 The shoes have "Pesky Bird" written on them in sharpie

𓇻 Because I gave him watcher wings but still wanted to incorporate the scarlet macaw thing, his sweater shirt and pants serve as the red yellow blue!

𓇻 I also gave him a feather earring

𓇻 This isn't necessarily a specific detail but omfg the shoes look so much better when I actually draw the shoe laces lmao

𓇻 The button on his shirt is an eye of ender
