Tips for radqueers so we don't get termed

I don't have enough spoons to make an intro, just enjoy.

Certain tags can make your account be taken down faster. Pro para and similars will make Tumblr give you a side eye rather than transIDs.

Don't make exclusively radqueer posts. Tumblr it's a huge page with tastes for everyone, so try to mix your activism with shitposting, memes, fandoms you're part of. This will make it harder for the algorithm to hunt you.

Whatever is your contact stance, don't engage in contact discourse unless strictly necessary.

Be subtle. Sometimes giving small hints that would make normies confused but will make other freaks know you're a freak too can help you keep in touch with the community without feeling exposed.

Typing quirks are your allies.

If you feel unsafe with someone, either ignore them or block them. Constantly reporting others can make you say goodbye to your acc.

Use alternatives to the label rq if you're comfortable with doing so.

Try to keep your tags simple or if you're an older account, don't use them at all.

Hey, transID community, can we stop with: "Trans[] is for people who ARE NOT [] but want to be".

We don't go around saying transgender people aren't their real genders but want to be, it's weird. Also, it makes it a lot harder for me to tell people that I am my transIDs when that's the only way you all are willing to describe them.

Also like. "Trans[] means to identify as / identify with" was right there.

Lowkey, now that I think about it I’m pretty sure one of my old teachers was radqueer or at the very least supports TransIDs, basically! When I was in his class we were working on a paper about ourselves and how we identify ourselves.

AND HE WASN’T JUST TALKING ABOUT GENDER OR SEXUALITY.

He literally said as an example “you could write down you identify as a person of color, it’s all up to you.” As we were filling in the paper.

If that ain’t a radqueer supporter I don’t know what is.

Hello hello - now I am a cis-system ( specifically r*mcoa) so I feel like I can help with my own experience a bit !!

TRANS - PLURAL / ( OSDD ) ..

OSDD ; Other Specified Dissociative Disorder . Depending on what type, dissociation can vary ( from mild or severe, to barely any ).

Forcing dissociation - choosing triggers and planning them out, then exposing yourself to those triggers through out the day can help with the dissociation.

Checking who is fronting - questioning your identity and who you are, questioning if you are who you think you are - going through your list of alters.

Depersonalization and derealization is a big part - question yourself and your identity, questioning if your reality is truly real can help with.

Amnesia - now for OSDD, while switching there CAN be an absence of amnesia, yet it doesn't mean that it isn't apart of the disorder. Amnesia after triggers or major trauma is a big thing.

Complains about memory gaps can help with reaching a diagnosis - as for actual memory gaps, repeated triggering can cause memory gaps.

Please note to be careful and take breaks if you will be triggering yourself. Hope you can seek professional help and a diagnosis <33

Welcome to Accessible Radqueer Flags!

There's something I've noticed about the radqueer community; most of the flags seem to go against the rules of flag-making. They're gorgeous flags! But they look a bit more like aesthetics than flags. There's nothing wrong with aesthetics! However, a flag should be easily recognizable and replicable by memory, and most of these flags are not.

Having a simplified version of the flag helps it to be recognizable to others, and makes photo descriptions for screen readers shorter and easier to understand and follow.

Speaking of, I will also be adding image descriptions to undescribed, complex flags as well as my simplified versions. I've also noticed that many of these flags do not include image descriptions, so that's part of why I'm here!

Let's all help make the Radqueer Community a more accessible place!
