Introduction

My omegaverse au takes away the reproduction aspects and instead focuses on the social aspects of dynamic, scent, heats, etc. and why they are needed.

Compatibility

Scent Compatibility: Determines whether individuals are drawn to each other based on scent. Scents exist to improve interpersonal relations in social groups. Scent is a physical indicator of emotions which is much easier to understand than just body language. This would help with survival as well since scents can be tracked.

Dynamic Compatibility: Determines whether individuals are drawn to each other based on dynamic. Dynamics exist to improve interpersonal relations in social groups. Partners have increased compatibility if their dynamics would evolutionarily complement each other while packs have increased compatibility with each other if they would evolutionarily be a well balanced group. All dynamics complement each other in some way or another.

Dynamics

Alpha: An individual that evolutionarily would have been a hunter. They have strong scents that command respect. They as well have instinctual urges to defend themselves and their mate/pack. They make great leaders.

Beta: An individual that evolutionarily would have been a forager. They have mild scents that put others at ease. They as well have instinctual urges to mediate in the pack. They make great mediators.

Omega: An individual that evolutionarily would have been a caretaker. They have scents that fluctuate in strength. Their scents calm others. They as well have instinctual urges to take care of their mate/pack. They make great carers.

Monthly Cycles

Heat: A period in which omegas revert to their instincts to be a caretaker. During this time omegas will be overly affectionate with their mate/pack. They also will gather scented items from their mate/pack to build a nest. Symptoms of heat can include urges to nest, desire to care for others, fatigue, and food/scent cravings. Occurs for 3-5 days once a month and can synchronize with mate/pack.

Rut: A period in which alphas revert to their instincts to be a hunter. During this time alphas aim to provide for their mate/pack. They also will gather scented items from their mate/pack to build a den. Symptoms of rut can include urges to den, aggression, headaches, and scent cravings. Occurs for 3-5 days once a month and can synchronize with mate/pack.

Ardor: A period in which betas revert to their instincts to be a forager. During this time betas will seek out ways to help their mate/pack. They also will gather scented items from their mate/pack to build a burrow. Symptoms of ardor can include urges to burrow, strong calming scent, fatigue, and scent cravings. Occurs for 3-5 days once a month and can synchronize with mate/pack.

Other Terminology

Scenting: The process in which one puts their nose to another’s neck scent gland or wrist scent glad. Scenting objects would mean to rub the against one’s scent glands.

Mating: The process of courting, scenting, and finally a claiming bite to become mates.

Courting: The act of trying to win over a potential mates affection through gifts, dates, and similar.

Nest: A comfortable space that a omega makes for themself.

Den: A comfortable space that a alpha makes for themself.

Burrow: A comfortable space that a beta makes for themself.

[No Image IDS]

A lamorID where someone identifies with (usually only) the romanticized parts of DID. I.E partner systems, introjects, stuff like that!

A demeID where someone identifies with (usually only) the demonized parts of DID, like switching and general persucator vibes.

I have faves from both the surface side and the ug side of the community.

surface wise, I really love moza morph because she's like a master class for affirmations layering, like I wonder what her editing process is like (if you've ever needed a hard flush sub that ive gotten results from, her new C.O.D method actually works!). for style and aesthetically pleasing subs, I would recommend Enchanted Workshop, as they are who I more aspire to be when it comes to a balance, and I use their calm versions a lot for more self improvement stuff. This resilience and adaptability sub is my fave.

ug wise, well you cant really go wrong with cyber. He's been term'd a few times but at least his new channel is sticking around and his new subs are a lot better mixed than his past ones. Like I still use the R4MCOA one even though I'm a cis survivor bc it's just a good grounding one when i've had doubts, and the new DID one is really good but i prefer the non music version. I also have been listening to jelly more lately, a very good ugsm <3 i like these ones by them; 1, 2, 3
