I see a lot of people worried or talking about Therians moving here from Tiktok and guys, I don't think it's going to be that big of a deal.

I know I come on here and bitch and moan about the way Therianthropy is treated on TT and all the misinformation but some of this is do to the app itself and the culture of it.

I might get angry on here but like, nothing a civil conversation can't fix really lol

this might be a bad take, however: The reason why therianthropy feels 'fake' and 'like a trend' is not because of masks/tails/quadrobics it's because of the way content creation and social media erode identities into an easily marketable and consumable list of things to do.

No, not bc of the gear, the """"fakers""", kids, or anything of the sorts.

But because of the fucking amount of humans who can't mind their business. Like, I can't go to one comment section without being BOMBARDED with therian hate. I simply cannot find our community in these comments.

I can't go through like, 3 videos, without seeing either outsiders straight up hating on us, or a video being like "look at these weirddd humans who think they're animals oooo so weird!! Point and laugh guys" treating us like zoo animals. And that's so upsetting to me. We're just living our lives.

Ya'll I just saw a tiktok of what I assume is a teenager expressing immense frustration over the fact that people think therians identity as animals HONEY THATS LITERALLY WHAT IT IS 😭

The caption said "We don't identify as animals" baby yes we do I'm so sick of this new age of theriothropy because of tiktok and seeing such misinformation and self hatred

The core meaning of theriothropy is non purposely identifying as an animal always has been yes I do identify as multiple animals I'm literally a Yak I'm genuinely a vulture ect.

This is something I've only seen recently and on tiktok,I awakened in 2013 so I'm pretty damn sure I know what I'm talking about I've been like this openly for SO long that I have hardly any shame in admitting who amd what I feel I am.

I saw a TikTok the other day with several million likes that said something along the lines of “my little sister is a therian and wearing cat ears to school and im so scared for her” and like. Weird video obviously but what really did me in was a comment that said “my younger sister was also a therian, im glad I bullied her out of it, it was for her own good :(“ and it had like several thousand likes. are you people okay. that is such a miserable way of living your life. bullying someone out of doing something is already disgusting but for it to be your younger sister, someone who looks up to you? and for what? because you’re afraid they might get bullied? congratulations! you’ve just become their first bully! you have just mocked and scared them out of a passion or something that brings them joy most likely because YOU’RE embarrassed. what an awful way to live and treat others

Therianthropy is like an actual fucking identity that can affect someons whole life. It can affect the way you see yourself, others, and the world around you.
