healthy lunch and dinner ideas
I thought I would share what I usually eat for lunch or dinner, it's easy and quick to make as well as healthy, you don't need many ingredients. If you like this post in the future I can do more about recipes.
1. TOAST

bread: bagel, seeded or protein bread ideas of ingredients to combine: avocado, light turkey, salmon, eggs (scrambled too) goat cheese, tomato, spinach, cucumber slices, chia seeds and a dash of olive oil.
2. BOWLS/SALADS

base: quinoa, rice or spinach ingredients to add: avocado, broccoli, tuna, chicken strips, tomato, cucumber slices, feta or goat cheese, tofu, chickpeas, boiled eggs, shrimps, olive oil and chia seeds (or the seeds that you like the most)
3. OMELETS

ingredients to add: turkey, spinach, mushrooms, goat cheese (or your choice)
spinach and feta omelet recipe
4. MORE IDEAS

sweet potato, pumpkin or oven-roasted eggplant to accompany any dish
pasta salad with tomato, rocket, spinach, cherry tomatoes, cheese, cheese and seeds of your choice
bowl of boiled vegetables (carrot, cauliflower, broccoli, peas, mushrooms)
chicken with boiled egg and rice garnish
(I clarify that the ingredients are ideas, not all are added, you can choose them.)

Daily check in – Day 46!!

Workouts:
20 minutes HIIT cardio by growwithjo
Steps: 14 612
Eating:
breakfast: 2 boiled eggs, a big apple, half of my matcha tiramisu!! (it's really tasty istg i'll be making it again soon)
lunch: like 2 carrots, some of a packet of instant noodles with a boiled egg, the rest of the tiramisu and 3 store-bought coconut brownie balls
dinner: the rest of the noodles, a cabbage roll with yogurt, some cucumber, slice of an alka coffee cake, half of a protein caramel pudding
Water intake: almost 2 liters
Sleep: 8 hours!
Studying:
spent 3 hours on forest!
read 65 pages (reading Circe atm)
played my guitar for 1 hour
Screen time: turned off my phone for the day
Self care:
slow day, focusing on myself
workout + longgg everything shower
self improvement youtube videos
Thoughts for tomorrow:
I wanna start studying for my history test, there's so much to study...

What’s really in our food?
Recently, many people have been checking the ingredient lists of our food to determine if it is ultra-processed. We are able to see strange sounding ingredients on the back, but what exactly do they do to our food?
Let’s examine a proclaimed ‘healthy’ food, a gluten free KIND bar. Its ingredients include;
tapioca syrup, produced from tapioca starch that is used as a thickener, sweetener, and stabiliser. It has been linked to causing fatty liver disease.
vegetable glycerin, a sugar alcohol that is a byproduct of the soap and biodiesel industry. It can lead to nausea and diarrhoea.
palm kernel oil, made by the bleaching, deodorising and neutralising of crude palm oil. It increases levels of bad cholesterol.
Keep in mind that these effects are shown when the ingredients are eaten in excess, however 60%-90% of the average American diet are full of these foods (that are ultra processed). Learn your ingredients!

brush your teeth & use a tongue scraper first thing in the morning
drink a full glass of water with a pinch of himalayan or sea salt and add a little bit of lemon. note: If you're gonna add lemon use a straw to avoid damaging your teeth
DIY milk face mask: cool trick to give your skin that instant glow. start off by simply pouring raw milk in an ice tray and allow it to freeze. take an ice cube, rub it on your skin for 3-4 minute. then gently massage your face, do this just before you sleep to wake up to a brighter and fresher face.
try hot & cold gel bead eye mask with collagen pearls:  soothe your eyes by heating up (better sleep, decongests sinuses, better blood flow to eye area) or cooling down (soothes tired, reduces dark circles and under-eye puffiness) increasing blood circulation.
use a gua sha and a face roller, it is essential to choose a high-quality, cold-pressed oil, preferably organic. I recommend to use argan or jojoba oil.
buy a water filter !! once the impurities are removed from your tap water it’s much easier for you to achieve clear and vitalized skin
Give a little massage at the end of the day, your body will be grateful! Improves blood circulation while relaxes your stress levels. (I'll be posting soon different kind of massage, trigger points and ways to give yourself a massage more easiliy w objects)

Celebrate victories and achievements, no matter how small or big they are! In the beginning of 2024, I made a goal to be more active and to increase my step count. I started with almost 1k to 2k steps and now I'm at 5 to 7k steps. This may not seem like much to people that are already active, but for me, it was a huge step towards my goal since I lack physical activity/movement. So I just want to tell yall, no matter how small a victory, enjoy it! Celebrate it and use it to not only get more motivated but disciplined as well.

have any fast weight loss tips?
losing water weight by cutting back insulin-inducing foods and/or increasing intake of diuretic foods and drinks is the fastest way to lose weight, if all you're looking for is to see the number drop on the scale without any significant reflection on your fat weight or your muscle weight.
if you want fast fat loss, I can't give you tips because there ain't no such thing. fat is hard to get rid of because there's no point in getting rid of it from the body's functionality perspective, so it takes time and continuous effort to do so, and it's easy to gain it back because fat cells don't disappear when you lose fat, and the human body craves fat reserves, not fat loss.
unless of course you go to things like ozempic, which I wouldn't recommend for people who aren't diabetic and/or dangerously obese, and even then, it doesn't work for everybody. though I've heard of people who've regained weight after quitting ozempic, so maybe even then it's not actually a sustainable option.

How to stop overeating while on your period because I have a good week but as soon as it’s my period I crave sugary sweet foods and just oily foods
this happen to me during my period. if your body is asking you to eat more, go for it, but with healthy choices and foods that help you feel good during your period.
some examples:
pineapple
nuts
carrot
fish
watermelon
eggs
banana
dark chocolate
and also tea: cinnamon, ginger, turmeric or rosemary
my favourite for these days is ginger.
and you can make something filling and nutritious with some of these foods. i would say:
toast with avocado and a fried egg or smoked salmon, add chia seeds on top for example.
a fruit salad with the aforementioned fruits.
a bowl with greek yoghurt, banana, oatmeal and dark chocolate.
you can also opt for a baked fish and a vegetable side dish.
and if you're hungry between meals, nuts and dried fruit are filling and have many benefits.
the point is not to stop eating but to learn to eat well and what your body is asking for. a nutritious meal will always fill you up and you won't need sugary or oily food.
and if you feel like eating "junk food" for a day, there is nothing wrong with that. it is positive to find a balance.
and remember to take care of yourself during your period days.
remember that i am not a specialist in this, it is what i usually eat and researched that it is good.

breakfast - an orange, an apple, some coconut, like 2 carrots + I made myself a green smoothie!! (accidentally put WAY too much ginger tho so it was only half edible) \(ToT)/
lunch - a cucumber, a boiled egg, 3 meatballs, some air fried potatoes with hot sauce + a tangerine, some white chocolate pudding dessert (idk what it is hahah), some protein choc cookie and a bit of tiramisu (it's gonna be gone soon nooooo:(((((( )
dinner - like 2 oranges, some more coconut + made mini pancakes and topped them with berries, banana, honey and chocolate spread :3
Water intake: 2 liters
Sleep: 8 hours
Studying:
spent 4.5 hours on forest!!
read 110 pages (finished Little women!!)
did my english homework
Learned some new guitar chords (I'm learning how to play Lemon boy by Cavetown atm <3)
Screen time: finally decided to check my notifs after all these days, wasted quite some time having convos I didn't want to have
Self care:
Turmeric face mask + just playing on my computer with my friendsss
Emotion log:
I feel like I am so much better and I'm doing a lot of progress with my recovery, it's like the ed voice isn't even there at all i love this sjsksjjs!!!
Thoughts for tomorrow:
I really wanna make some coffee and eat my pain au chocolat for breakfast!!!
I hope I do well in tutoring tomorrow
