first of all, what are superfoods, and why are they so beneficial to our health? are those that in addition to feeding us have beneficial properties for health and are 100% natural, their origin is mainly vegetable and raw consumption, have a high content of fiber, minerals, proteins and vitamins, many of this help strengthen the immune system and promise the extension of a long healthy life.
and these are some of the foods you should incorporate into your diet.
goji berries: high in vitamins and minerals
acai berries: beneficial for overall health and boost performance. high in antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and essential fatty acids.
chia seeds: high in vegetable fiber, omega-3 fatty acids, and high-quality protein.
ginger: it is attributed with properties against digestive discomfort and headaches. it also has an anti-inflammatory effect.
avocado: high in healthy fats, antioxidants, it has numerous micronutrients among which are vitamins C, vitamin B5, and vitamin K.
green tea: accelerates metabolism, detoxifying.
matcha: rich in antioxidants, polyphenols, and EGG, responsible for helping to protect against heart disease, helps regulate blood sugar, and accelerates metabolism.

What’s really in our food?
Recently, many people have been checking the ingredient lists of our food to determine if it is ultra-processed. We are able to see strange sounding ingredients on the back, but what exactly do they do to our food?
Let’s examine a proclaimed ‘healthy’ food, a gluten free KIND bar. Its ingredients include;
tapioca syrup, produced from tapioca starch that is used as a thickener, sweetener, and stabiliser. It has been linked to causing fatty liver disease.
vegetable glycerin, a sugar alcohol that is a byproduct of the soap and biodiesel industry. It can lead to nausea and diarrhoea.
palm kernel oil, made by the bleaching, deodorising and neutralising of crude palm oil. It increases levels of bad cholesterol.
Keep in mind that these effects are shown when the ingredients are eaten in excess, however 60%-90% of the average American diet are full of these foods (that are ultra processed). Learn your ingredients!

⭐️Glow up plan 2024⭐️
School starts on August 21st and during these three weeks I HAVE TO glow up.
1. Clear skin 🫧🧴✨
I’m currently breaking out a bit.
• Cut out inflammatory foods like corn, processed sugar, processed foods in general, white flour and seed oils.
2. Lose weight
• Go for that Forrest walk every day! Walk, walk, walk Alice!!!🚶‍♀️
• Eat less, think before I eat, am I really hungry?
• Drink lots of water 💦
• Try to find some weight to lift so my butt gets bigger😭
3. Hair care
• Get the ends of my hair cut they’re horrible right now😬
• Oil the tips of your hair to prevent them from splitting because of how dry they are! 🫒
Today is day one, I’ve had a pretty big breakfast and I’ll just wait til dinner to eat again, I’ll drink water if I get hungry⭐️

brush your teeth & use a tongue scraper first thing in the morning
drink a full glass of water with a pinch of himalayan or sea salt and add a little bit of lemon. note: If you're gonna add lemon use a straw to avoid damaging your teeth
DIY milk face mask: cool trick to give your skin that instant glow. start off by simply pouring raw milk in an ice tray and allow it to freeze. take an ice cube, rub it on your skin for 3-4 minute. then gently massage your face, do this just before you sleep to wake up to a brighter and fresher face.
try hot & cold gel bead eye mask with collagen pearls:  soothe your eyes by heating up (better sleep, decongests sinuses, better blood flow to eye area) or cooling down (soothes tired, reduces dark circles and under-eye puffiness) increasing blood circulation.
use a gua sha and a face roller, it is essential to choose a high-quality, cold-pressed oil, preferably organic. I recommend to use argan or jojoba oil.
buy a water filter !! once the impurities are removed from your tap water it’s much easier for you to achieve clear and vitalized skin
Give a little massage at the end of the day, your body will be grateful! Improves blood circulation while relaxes your stress levels. (I'll be posting soon different kind of massage, trigger points and ways to give yourself a massage more easiliy w objects)

add the following to a blender
cucumber
ginger
carrots
celery
green apple
once blended, strain until it becomes juice - add ceylon cinnamon and collagen powder if you like!
my recommendations: drink on an empty stomach in the mornings, and aim to freeze the mixture when not drinking (if you decide to make a big batch) because it's said that it can lose its antioxidant properties.

Celebrate victories and achievements, no matter how small or big they are! In the beginning of 2024, I made a goal to be more active and to increase my step count. I started with almost 1k to 2k steps and now I'm at 5 to 7k steps. This may not seem like much to people that are already active, but for me, it was a huge step towards my goal since I lack physical activity/movement. So I just want to tell yall, no matter how small a victory, enjoy it! Celebrate it and use it to not only get more motivated but disciplined as well.

How to stop overeating while on your period because I have a good week but as soon as it’s my period I crave sugary sweet foods and just oily foods
this happen to me during my period. if your body is asking you to eat more, go for it, but with healthy choices and foods that help you feel good during your period.
some examples:
pineapple
nuts
carrot
fish
watermelon
eggs
banana
dark chocolate
and also tea: cinnamon, ginger, turmeric or rosemary
my favourite for these days is ginger.
and you can make something filling and nutritious with some of these foods. i would say:
toast with avocado and a fried egg or smoked salmon, add chia seeds on top for example.
a fruit salad with the aforementioned fruits.
a bowl with greek yoghurt, banana, oatmeal and dark chocolate.
you can also opt for a baked fish and a vegetable side dish.
and if you're hungry between meals, nuts and dried fruit are filling and have many benefits.
the point is not to stop eating but to learn to eat well and what your body is asking for. a nutritious meal will always fill you up and you won't need sugary or oily food.
and if you feel like eating "junk food" for a day, there is nothing wrong with that. it is positive to find a balance.
and remember to take care of yourself during your period days.
remember that i am not a specialist in this, it is what i usually eat and researched that it is good.

So my 4 day fast turned into a 5 day fast 😁
And after 5 days my weight has gone from 282 down to 274.6 this is the lowest i have seen since before i had my son almost 2 years ago. This makes me want to just keep fasting cuz the refeed will make it go up 😓 but hopefully wont be too much and get right back on track, i will be breaking the fast this afternoon. Just 6 more hours to complete a full 5 days which is when i'll be breaking later today
