The Visit was a play I had seen with my friends and it was very different from anything I had expected. This play was shown at the Clarice so it featured fellow students which was a new feeling for me. It was interesting that they could perform like this on the weekends then I see them in class the next day. The play discussed slightly sensitive topics such as justice, prostitution, and betrayal. However, I enjoyed the characters and the humor of it all. I was surprised at how nicely the play was put together and hope to see more in the future.

Terps After Dark: Craft Night series.
This event was related to arts because we created Glow in the Dark mason jars. It was very fun because it was something I had never done before. It inspired me because I’d love to do it again, even in a series to make larger art with multiple jars. This reminds me of the frame making because it was also an arts & crafts event.

The Third Question.
Artists were collaborating during productions such as The Jazz Professors’ performance. There were people playing instruments, people controlling lighting and sound, artists behind the clothing worn by performers, etc. I think collaborations like this and more show that art is more than just a picture on a wall.

q2 “My favorite exhibit was the Emma Weisbaum: Turned On (Read Receipts) because it’s similar to what I see on my Twitter and Instagram timelines every day. The color and lighting was very aesthetically inviting, especially because it somehow grasped fluidity with the rest of the event. If I could, I would take the series home with me.”

Question: What did you see/hear/learn that was completely new to you?
Answer: The whole experience of different forms of art in one building was new to me. Especially listening to live jazz music. Also, the lucid dreaming exhibit was very new, and it is still a mystery to me how it works.
