i started watching this show called midnight diner and it got me thinking of an exchange student au hehehhe

you are the foreign student studying in japan, and after a long day of studying, find a tiny restaurant on the side of the road only to be met with the pretty teal eyed boy who calls himself sae itoshi. you find solace in him because he speaks your mother tongue and end up being a regular over there and slowly start falling in love with him, his dishes and his dreams😁😁

like just imagining sae as one of those diner owners who decided to settle back in Japan after his football career and opened this little nook in Shinjuku n ur like the first regular he has <33 cooks you anything you want n even gives you taste testers on the house T-T everyone sorta knows his reputation as a retired football star (don’t tell rin but he has a small blue lock poster under his counter away from the prying eyes of the customers bc yea he supports his youngest brother in just the most sae-way possible) but they’re like okay where’s my food though lmaoo

he’s always had dreams of coaching a team n you’re the first person he ever told it to but he says it’s stupid bc who wants a retired football player to do any of that so that’s why he opened up this little diner to pay homage to his grandmother’s recipes while giving him something to do </33 n ur like :OOO that’s impossible !! dreams are so important n it’s not like he’s kicking the bucket anytime soon so he still has time to see his final dream come through </33

and sae starts to think that while football may be the only thing he knows, he has to admit that maybe this cute, foreign exchange student with a penchant of rambling on about how dreams are important may just be something else he wants to dig into deeper <33

Safe to say I'm still experiencing the postdrome phase of yesterday's migraine. Just hoofed my way through two bowls of cereal and half a box of gluten-free shortbread before I realized what I was doing.

So now I've turned into the old woman who swallowed a fly and am chasing it up with salt and electrolytes to counter the effect of the carbs and sugar on my POTS.

Because that's how that works, right? ... right?

I'm still, so, so, so fucking scared to say my MCAS is in 'remission' (or as close as you can get with an illness like this), but I just had a gluten-free cupcake with strawberry jam in the middle and a white chocolate ganache on top, and if you'd told me less than four years ago that was a thing I'd be able to eat without going into anaphylaxis and setting myself back months in terms of recovery, I would never have believed you. Hell, a few months ago, I wouldn't have been able to eat this because I wasn't on the right meds.

And today I get to have a little treat with lunch because I feel like it.
