Finally, after 470 days, children will sleep peacefully, and the bombs will stop. A quiet, silent night will pass over the entire Gaza Strip. This is what appears to the world, but the reality is entirely different. From this night onward, the real pain begins. Families will start remembering their loved ones lost in this war. Children will remember their fathers who died before their eyes. Mothers will recall the best moments they shared with their families in happiness, moments that no longer exist because of the death of their children. Wives will remember their husbands returning to them every day, now brutally killed before the eyes of the world.

From tonight, life will become more difficult for those who lost parts of their bodies—the one who lost an eye, the one who lost one or even both legs, the one who lost his hands, or those who now suffer from complete or partial paralysis. All of this will not be shown to you by the media.

We are still suffering even after the ceasefire. Yes, it is a relief that the bloodshed and massacres have stopped, but our suffering continues. We are still displaced, still under siege, and still in need of your support.

The people of the destroyed city have returned to their devastated neighborhoods, walking through the sorrowful streets among the ruins of their homes that were destroyed by bombs. The streets that once pulsed with life are now empty, filled only with haunting silence. There are no schools for children to learn in, no hospitals to treat the sick, and no markets to fulfill their daily needs.

Water has become a distant dream, and electricity is now a distant memory, just as the hope for peace has turned into a lost dream.

In these tragic circumstances, the Sami family, who lost everything in the war, is facing the hardest test of their lives. Their homes were destroyed, their livelihood lost, and they are in desperate need of assistance.

As the suffering continues, the helping hand remains the only hope. Let us all come together and lend our support to this kind family and others who have no shelter or food. Hello, I'm Ola, a graduate student from the faculty of science - Al-Azhar University in Gaza Palestine. I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read my story. As you reading my message, myself and my family, “my mother, father, three sisters, and my little brother,” are fighting death in northern Gaza and trying to survive under all kinds of suffering including but not limited to destruction, fear, and instability, starvation, thirst, and poverty.

Since 471 days until now, we have been struggling to get proper food after prices increased by 15 to 20 times, struggling to have clean water for use and drinking.

After a long and tiring effort, my Tumblr account @olasfamily has been disabled, and I have to start over. I feel sad and lost, but I don’t want to face this journey alone. I kindly ask you to share and support us; every donation and every share means a lot to me in this difficult time. Please don’t leave me to face this challenge on my own.

I am writing to you as we struggle through very difficult conditions with winter approaching. The cold is becoming harsher by the day, and we lack the warm clothing needed to endure this freezing weather. The ceasefire has come into effect, Everyone thinks the war is over. But the real war has begun, which is how we will live and our home has been destroyed, How will we live and my workplace is destroyed, Will we continue our lives in a tent and an unhealthy environment?

6-year-old Joan Al-Habil is has been repeatedly hospitalized due to severe gastrointestinal problems and overwhelming fatigue. This poor girl has been to multiple facilities and seen multiple doctors, undergone extensive testing (as extensive as is possible in Gaza's collapsed medical system), even having to endure an unsedated endoscopy.

She has now been diagnosed with severe gastritis due to starvation and hazardous living conditions. Remember, she and her family are living on the streets, which are cold and wet due to winter rain. Homelessness, stress, exposure to the elements, her previous injury when the lOF firebombed her tent, and malnutrition all conspire to sap little Joan of her strength.

Her condition is so serious that she even had to undergo surgery. Gastritis very rarely requires surgery to treat, so this is an indication of how dire her condition is. The surgery was successful to a degree, but she is going to need ongoing treatment to manage her symptoms.

The treatments are administered weekly and cost $500 USD (just under €500 EUR). Her family has no income and cannot afford this. If Joan goes more than a few days without treatment, her symptoms worsen rapidly, and she sometimes has to be hospitalized. It is vital that we help her family procure her treatments so that her condition does not worsen!
