Moms!
Have a hard time getting your workout in? Is everyone asking for your attention?
I don’t care how small your bathroom is..mine is pretty small in this one bedroom apartment, but one of the great things about connecting to your breath during movement, is that you’re gonna make it a heck of a lot more efficient and effective as you move around in a much tighter space… Oh, yeah, did I mention, that you can also rebalance those nerves that are frazzled by your kids when you’re slow your breathing down?
Here’s what I do on the weekend: I very softly shut the bathroom door so that no one hears that I’ve gone in there… Especially my five-year-old, who will come running and knocking on the door extremely loudly if she knows that I’m in there…
Then, I strap my Ab-ribbon on, so that I can get that tactile feedback for maximizing my breath potential…it’s worth it!!
Then I set my timer on my iPhone for three minutes because that’s how long that it takes to balance the nervous system positively. I perform about 10 repetitions of bodyweight squats, or a Pilates exercise where I regulate my breathing to 10 second cycles…perform 18 breath cycles, and there’s three minutes. If you have a hard time regulating your tempo, simply put a metronome on… Try a wooden block because that’s a lot more calming than a high-pitched metronome!
Go to Hypoxix.fitness to get your Ab- ribbon to make those connections in the bathroom!
❤️❤️

all your stuffed animals love you. they're not sad if they're in a box, or on the floor, or not held/played with as much. they understand. they know that you might need another stuffie more, or that you don't have enough space. they're just happy to be with you, and if you ever give them away, they'll be happy there too. stuffies are for comfort. they understand. they love you too. it's okay.

Did Anyone See the Signs?
Did Anyone See the Signs? #MentalHealth #Depression #Psychology
Image Credit: Pixabay “I didn’t see the signs.” “I never saw it coming.” They don’t always look like what you may think they look like. They may cry for help, but it might not be done audibly or it may mean no one is paying attention and listening. Sometimes, people may walk to the edge of the cliff, wanting to stop whatever pain is brewing and stewing inside, and decide one of two things, jump…

We need to talk more about the transmasculine suicide rate.
There's a common saying that every transgender suicide is a murder, because it is the lack of acceptance in society that leads transgender individuals to commit suicide at such a high rate, this is true of trans men who have the highest suicide rate across all gender identities:
Tumblr media
[image ID: a stylized graph depicting the percentages of considering & attempted suicide for different gender experiences.
Cisgender boy/man: 28% considered suicide, 8% attempted suicide
Cisgender girl/woman: 37% considered suicide, 10% attempted suicide
Transgender boy/man: 59% considered suicide, 22% attempted suicide
Transgender girl/woman: 48% considered suicide, 12% attempted suicide
Nonbinary/genderqueer: 53% considered suicide, 19% attempted suicide
Questioning: 48% considered suicide, 14% attempted suicide
end ID] ID by @tstomboy
Trans men are not receiving the support they need, and many of them are not surviving because of this. We need to make sure that mental health support and suicide for transgender individuals is as inclusive as possible for these transgender men who are at the highest risk.
We need to ensure trans men feel safe and welcome within the queer community as isolation is one of the more exacerbating factors on one's mental health. We need to make sure resources for victims of sexual violence are inclusive of transmasculine individuals, who face the highest rate of sexual abuse and yet often have to recloset themselves to find support. We have to love trans men because society shows them nothing but hate.
Check in with the trans men in your community, you may just save a life.

The set up is everything!
when you forcefully exhale, like telling someone to be quiet or blowing out a birthday candle, you activate your oblique musculature to a great degree.
If you were trying to activate and strengthen your core, try this kind of forceful acceleration in conjunction with gently drawing your navel to your spine. If you perform this in conjunction with functional movements, such as lunges, squats, and rotational movements, you were teaching your core to work and activate in these activities that you perform on a daily basis.
In my breathing methodology, I teach you to slowly exhale and insert a forceful exhalation at the conclusion of a long breath that not only activates the core but calms the nervous system. Want to learn my method for free? Please visit hypoxix.fitness where you can also find an AB-RIBBON that gives you tactile feedback as to whether or not you are maximizing your breathing core potential.

DID but not as in presence of "evil murderer alter", DID as in buying two drinks instead of one because someone came to front after seeing a blue raspberry slushie and DEMANDED to have it, but the alter who walked all the way to the gas station refused to leave without getting what they wanted to get initially.

If you don't judge people for saying "sorry adhd brain" in public, then don't judge people for saying "sorry schizophrenia brain" in public
If you correct people when they misuse the term "ocd" then you need to correct people when they misuse the terms "psychotic", "delusional", "hallucinating" and "schizophrenic"
If you don't stare, laugh at or fear a stranger in public flapping their hands, then you need to do the same for a stranger in public talking to someone who isn't actually there.
If you give a trigger warning to sensitive topics then you need to give a trigger warning to unreality and false information as a prank.
If you want to normalize medication like antidepressants you also need to normalize medications like antipsychotics.
If you don't like people without your disorder joking about it online and report it as harassment, then you need to do the same for the tons of nonschizophrenics making "schizoposting" memes to make fun of us.
Just please include schizo-spec and psychotic acceptance into your mental illness/neurodiversity acceptance. We are part of your community whether you like it or not. We are constantly stigmatized, misrepresented and made fun of. We do what we can to help you, please return the favor.
Mental illness/neurodiversity acceptance is an ongoing action. We will get nowhere in the long run if we split the community into the "in" group and the "out" group. We could all accomplish so much if we worked together. But you need to include the "weird" people that don't fit into your aesthetic and don't fit the social norms.
Us psychotics and schizo-specs have been struggling for years and have been the only people fighting for ourselves while the people we plead to barely see us as human. If you are nonpsychotic and nonschizo-spec, you can help us more than you realize. Please include us and stick up for us the same way we have been including and sticking up for you.

Winter has arrived…
Its coldness, unsettling stillness, and relentless rains have taken over. Last night was harsh, as the heavy rain flooded our humble tents, leaving behind nothing but cold and suffering.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
My children, their small bodies can no longer endure this piercing cold. All I can do is hold them close, but even that is no longer enough to shield them from the cruelty of this weather. Our tiny tent, barely offering us shelter, stands less than 100 meters away from the sea. The crashing waves and roaring winds create a daily battle for us, amplifying the fear in my children during the darkness of the night.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This morning, we woke up to the same exhausting reality. I don’t know if this suffering will ever end or if it will repeat with every new sunrise. Sometimes I wonder: does tomorrow hold any hope for us, or is it just another chapter of pain?
These are not just words, but glinnmpses of the reality of my life and the suffering of my children, for which I can find no solution.
