The 13 Best Foods For Healthy Skin
Your skin is not only the body's largest organ but also a reflection of your overall health. Maintaining healthy and radiant skin requires more than just external skincare products; it begins with the nutrients you provide your body from the inside. A well-balanced diet rich in essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants can do wonders for your skin. In this article, we'll explore the 13 best foods for achieving and maintaining healthy, glowing skin.
1. Salmon:
Salmon is a fatty fish that's high in omega-3 fatty acids. These healthy fats help keep your skin moisturized and supple, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Omega-3s also have anti-inflammatory properties that can soothe skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis.
2. Avocado:
Avocados are packed with healthy fats, vitamins E and C, and antioxidants. These nutrients help keep your skin hydrated, protect it from UV damage, and promote collagen production, which is essential for skin elasticity.
3. Sweet Potatoes:
Sweet potatoes are rich in beta-carotene, a powerful antioxidant that can give your skin a healthy glow by protecting it from sun damage and preventing premature aging.
4. Berries:
Berries like blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries are loaded with antioxidants, particularly vitamin C. Antioxidants help combat free radicals, reducing skin cell damage and promoting a more youthful appearance.
5. Walnuts:
Walnuts are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin E, which help maintain the skin's moisture and protect it from oxidative stress.
6. Spinach:
Spinach is rich in vitamin A, which is essential for skin health. It helps repair skin tissues, prevent acne, and maintain a healthy complexion.
7. Green Tea:
Green tea contains polyphenols and antioxidants that protect the skin from UV radiation and reduce the risk of skin cancer. Drinking green tea regularly can also help combat inflammation and keep your skin looking fresh.
8. Tomatoes:
Tomatoes are a great source of lycopene, an antioxidant that can reduce the risk of sunburn and skin aging. It also promotes collagen production and skin elasticity.
9. Dark Chocolate:
High-quality dark chocolate (70% cocoa or higher) is rich in antioxidants, specifically flavonols, which can improve skin texture, hydration, and blood flow, giving your skin a healthy glow.
10. Almonds:
Almonds are rich in vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant that helps protect your skin from harmful UV rays and environmental damage.
11. Yogurt:
Yogurt is packed with probiotics, which can promote a healthy gut. A balanced gut microbiome can lead to clearer skin by reducing inflammation and preventing acne.
12. Carrots:
Carrots are another great source of beta-carotene, which can help reduce skin dryness and promote a more youthful appearance.
13. Oats:
Oats are a good source of complex carbohydrates and fiber. They can help stabilize blood sugar levels, reducing the risk of acne and promoting clear skin.
While these foods can be a valuable addition to your diet for healthier skin, remember that no single food can work miracles. A well-rounded diet that includes a variety of nutrient-rich foods, along with proper hydration, is essential for achieving and maintaining radiant skin. Additionally, don't forget to protect your skin from excessive sun exposure, get enough sleep, and maintain a consistent skincare routine for the best results. Healthy, glowing skin is the result of both internal and external care, so make these foods a part of your daily routine and watch your skin thrive.

I know Onew has been gone on Hiatus for nearly six months now and it’s sucked for us Shawols, but daaaaaaaamn has Hiatus never looked so good on anyone as it does on Onew. Our Dubu Leader looks HAPPY, HEALTHY, STRONG, AND HE STILL HAS HIS LONG HAIR!
Going on Hiatus was the best decision Onew has ever made, even if it meant that he’s had to sit out of so much. It’s so nice to see an idol go on Hiatus for POSITIVE reasons instead of the normal due to an injury or because of a controversy. Once again, SHINee is setting a good example not just for their fellow idols but for society as well. Onew has shown us all that IT’S OKAY to take a break and focus on your health, whether that’s mental, physical, or both.
And I think it helps that Onew knows how patient and loving SHINee World is and how much we value his health over anything else. If we had been one of those fandoms that was constantly complaining about his absence and demanding that he return, I doubt he would’ve healed as well as he has. Honestly, it probably would’ve made his health worse and he wouldn’t have made the progress that he has. I’m so proud of SHINee World and the support they’ve shown Onew in his journey to better health, and I’m thankful every day to be apart of this amazing fandom.
Let’s continue to support Onew. I want him back just as much as the next Shawol, but none of us should pressure him into returning just because he’s starting to look healthier. I want Onew to come back when HE feels ready to return to us. If that takes weeks, months, even a full year, I don’t care as long as he’s happy and healthy. Take your time, Jinki. We love you and support you no matter what 🩵💖💎🐰

I have been watching old videos in tour preparation and was staggered by how much happier and healthier Dan and Phil both look now. You can see how suffocated by the whole thing they were back for a period pre hiatus. Those years where the enjoyment and fun had gone is a tough watch.
I dipped out for a while and missed this period, and so looking back now you literally see the lights dim in Dan's eyes over a year or so, and how fed up of forcing an act he was.
The absolute chaos and fun and joy that has been post hiatus really emphasises just how tired and over hiding and lying and being yes men they must have been. It makes me appreciate this new era of content so much more. I would watch them watching grass grow, if it kept them smiling and happy and fulfilled, rather than making content for us, that made them that miserable.
oh :(( anon this really broke me and i have a lot of thoughts about this tbh.
as someone who's been lucky enough to watch them change and grow over 10 years, i think something we all know is how it's nothing compared to now, but like there was a clear shift around 2018 with tour and just the way that they presented themselves publicly. in part, they started to become a little bit more comfortable with each other and carefree about sharing certain things. again, looking back this sounds strange to say but im talking purely compared to the years before then- it was absolutely different. of course, we all know that this time was extremely difficult for dan, struggling with authenticity and "living his truth". i love ii, this is in no way dogging on it bc i think there's room to be proud of it and what they did but also the entire concept of "giving the people what they want" is almost poetic considering dan's internal turmoil during this time, like with what he said during one of those reaction videos- "c'mon dan, give the people what they want and then you can disappear forever." multiple people on here have put it like this before but there are certain points like in ii era liveshows where you can tell dan is just buzzing with this restless, frustrated energy, like he's stuck inside his own skin and can't crawl out of it.
i will say that i think just on some practical level, i like to tell myself that it wasn't all doom and gloom pre-hiatus and that there were obviously moments of happiness or comfort or things that they genuinely enjoyed doing, like travelling the world or something as small as playing a fun game. but i would be lying to myself if i denied the fact that they absolutely struggled at points, and that dan was fed up of struggling with the pain of wanting to be his true, authentic self, but being scared. again though, it's not all bad. this was the first time that dan started to accept and at least think about coming out, and all those moments where they signed pride flags and he would say things like "hopefully one day" to people who told them their stories really cements his point that the acceptance and support his audience gave helped him. the hiatus was so important for their personal growth, to heal their relationship with us, and like you pointed out they really were "yes men"- phil constantly pointing out how learning how to say no has helped a ton.
there are no words to describe this new era other than pure fun, joy, and whimsy. it's been an absolute privilege to see their personal growth, to watch them allow themselves to focus on themselves and be happy and open and watch them have the time of their lives and reassure us that they're enjoying it and not going anywhere anytime soon. i'm right there with you, i just feel so happy and appreciative of being here experiencing this new era with you all and them, and i just want them to do whatever makes them happy and fulfilled. which is what i think they're doing right now with the tour, and they knew it mere months after the comeback which they had no real long term plans for, but we showed up for them, and they know that which is why it makes the idea of our mutual "healing" and entering this new era together so exciting <3
#dnp#dan and phil#daniel howell#phil lester#asks#anon#answered#my thots#blossoms.rambles#also the healthy thing is just so real like. i cannot get over how they look like different people#their skin their hair their happiness is absolutely making them glow#also they're fitter and probably feed themselves better#but the difference with old videos is truly staggering and im just so happy for them to have reached this point

Hello! Do you have any tips for a scent layering routine and how to always smell clean and fresh? Thank you!
Hi love! Sharing some tips below. Hope these help xx
Scent Layering Tips:
Remember your routine starts in the shower. Use fragrance-free body wash/lotion if you want to ensure they don't mix with any perfume/fragrance mists. Otherwise, test to see whether your favorite scented body wash/lotions complement each other/work together to create your desired scent.
Apply scents from the heaviest to the lightest. Apply your heady perfumes (musky, deeper, spicier, and richer-smelling scents) before your lighter fragrances (brighter floral or citrus scents). Typically, bolder perfume scents have more dynamic and/or deeper base notes (the notes that last on the skin for the longest skin [4-6 hours -once the perfume has "dried down"]. Popular base notes include vanilla, oud, musk, patchouli, sandalwood, cedarwood) and can have common heart notes [actualize around 20-60 minutes after spraying the perfume after the top notes, or initial scent, starts to fade]. Some common heart/middle perfume notes include jasmine, rose, cinnamon, geranium, lavender, black pepper, pine, and lemongrass.
When in doubt, layer two perfumes (and/or scented body products) with the same/overlapping base and/or heart notes. Think a vanilla-scented body lotion with a vanilla-based perfume or scents with vanilla-jasmine notes like Valentino Donna Born in Roma EDP layered with Versace Crystal Noir.
Don't layer two heavy scents together. Think of scents like Tom Ford Black Orchid and Mugler Alien paired together. When combined the smell can be overwhelming and give you a headache. Huda Beauty created a great fragrance scent layering guide (in the hyperlink).
How To Smell Fresh All Day Long:
Shower daily with soap and water under your arms, behind, and on the bikini area (only use water on the inside/your vulva)
Moisturize your skin daily (body hands, face)
Brush your teeth twice a day. Floss at least once a day. Keep a disposable toothbrush or at least some breath mints handy for use throughout the day if needed
Apply an antiperspirant deodorant every morning/before any activity where you think you'll be sweating. Carry around a mini one in your work bag or if you have room for one in your purse if out for several hours at a time on a hot day
Have feminine hygiene wipes and wet wipes on hand to cleanse the downstairs regions as needed
Keep some cleansing wipes/spray to refresh your body/face if you're in a hot/humid climate or are prone to sweating (I like the Pacifica Coconut Milk & Essential Oils Underarm Deodorant Wipes and Evian Facial Spray to freshen up throughout the day)
Change any liners/pads/tampons every 3-4 hours when not asleep
Wear underwear with a cotton gusset daily (lingerie is the exception)
Change your underwear and socks throughout the day
Ensure you're washing your towels and pillowcases at least once a week
Choose breathable fabrics (linen, bamboo, cotton, Tencel, silk, merino wool) in the hot/humid weather or if you're worried about sweating
Keep a rollerball of your go-to perfume to freshen up on your pulse points if needed throughout the day/night

Silky Smooth Skin Routine 🚿🧼🤍🌸
Here’s my routine for the softest most hairless legs you have ever had. Obvi body hair is your choice so if you choose to have body hair this post isn’t for you no hate tho. This routine can be used on more than just your legs also.
Dry brush your whole body before the shower.
Exfoliate using a sugar scrub
Use a shave oil(baby oil also works) and a men’s razor (they are cheaper and are better for skin since they are meant for your face).
Use short strokes and go over each area twice.
Use acne face wash anywhere you have body acne
Use a bar soap to wash of the rest of your body (I like African black soap but any unscented bar will be good for this)
Use regular body wash with your favorite scent.
Once out of the shower put on a body oil and lotion on wet skin.
Put on your rob and let that soak in.
Extra tips!
Make sure that you always wash your body after you are completely done with your hair stuff to prevent body acne.
Always have your hair up in the shower except when washing it.
Sun screen is also important for your body as well.
If you want a tan I recommend using a good base fake tanner then allow yourself to naturally tan. Then use a gradual tanning lotion to maintain an even glow.
Using a good lotion on your feet and hands then putting them in socks/gloves while you sleep gets you the softest skin.
Never use a dull razor it won’t shave as well and will probably just irritate your skin.
That is my routine I use it about twice a week and then only touch up places like my armpits as needed. You shouldn’t exfoliate your skin everyday also so try not to make this a daily habit.🤍🧼🫶🏻🥰

Create your own vitamin c serum at home
Vitamin C serum provides antioxidant protection, stimulates collagen production, brightens the skin, defends against sun damage, promotes hydration, reduces inflammation, supports wound healing, has anti-aging effects, protects against environmental damage, and improves overall skin texture.
Ingredients:
Orange peel powder - 1 tablespoon
Vitamin C powder (ascorbic acid) - 1 to 1.5 teaspoons
Rose water - 2 tablespoon
Glycerin - 1 tablespoon
aloe vera gel - 1 tablespoon
Vitamin E oil - a few drops (optional but adds antioxidant benefits)
Rosehip oil - 1 teaspoon (optional but beneficial for skin)
Dark glass dropper bottle
Instructions:
Prepare Orange Peel Powder:Dry orange peels and grind them into a fine powder using a blender or grinder.
Mix Dry Ingredients:In a clean bowl, combine the orange peel powder and vitamin C powder.
Add Wet Ingredients:Add the rose water, glycerine, aloe vera gel, vitamin E capsule and optional rosehip oil to the dry ingredient mixture.
Stir Well:Mix all the ingredients thoroughly to ensure an even distribution.
Transfer to Dropper Bottle:Use a funnel to transfer the serum into a dark glass dropper bottle. Dark glass helps protect the serum from light, maintaining its potency.
Storage:Store the serum in the refrigerator to slow down oxidation and preserve its effectiveness. Vitamin C serums can degrade over time, so making smaller batches is advisable.
Application:Apply a few drops of the vitamin C serum to your face and neck after cleansing. Use it in your morning skincare routine, followed by sunscreen.

Cellulite Treatments: Achieve Smooth, Sculpted Skin Naturally: Discover the Power of Endermomassage and Lymphatic Drainage with Sokörpe
Looking to reduce cellulite, sculpt your body, and achieve firm, glowing skin? The Sokörpe Compact Intelligent Skincare & Body Care Machine offers holistic, non-invasive treatments that are transforming the way we approach skincare and body wellness. With advanced European engineering, this machine helps you achieve visible, lasting results – without any invasive procedures. Let’s dive into what makes it so revolutionary!
Why Choose Non-Invasive Treatments?
The Sokörpe machine was designed with a holistic approach in mind, which means it works with your body’s natural processes rather than against them. Unlike more aggressive treatments, non-invasive options like Endermomassage and Lymphatic Drainage offer noticeable results by tapping into your body’s own healing systems. Here’s why that’s important:
Better Skin Health: These treatments support your body’s natural circulation and detoxification, resulting in healthier, more resilient skin over time.
No Downtime, Just Results: Non-invasive treatments mean you can get back to your day right after your session – no recovery needed.
Long-Term Benefits: Holistic treatments not only address cellulite but also support long-term skin health, making them ideal for anyone looking to enhance their natural beauty sustainably.
How Endermomassage Reduces Cellulite and Firms Skin
Endermomassage is a type of targeted, deep-tissue massage that uses gentle suction to smooth out stubborn fat deposits and increase blood circulation. This does several things for your skin:
Breaks Down Fat Deposits: Reduces the appearance of cellulite and provides a smoother texture by targeting fatty deposits directly.
Stimulates Collagen Production: Helps boost collagen production, making skin firmer and more elastic.
Contours and Sculpts: Gives the body a more defined look by enhancing your natural curves and contours.
Whether you’re aiming for smoother skin on your thighs, firmer arms, or just a more toned appearance, Endermomassage is a go-to!
Lymphatic Drainage: The Secret to Detoxified, Glowing Skin
Your lymphatic system plays a key role in your body’s health by moving waste and toxins out of your cells. When lymph fluid gets sluggish, it can lead to bloating, swelling, and even more pronounced cellulite. Here’s how Lymphatic Drainage with the Sokörpe machine can help:
Reduces Swelling and Bloating: By stimulating lymph flow, this treatment flushes out excess fluid, which can lead to a more toned, sculpted look.
Boosts Detoxification: Lymphatic drainage enhances your body’s natural detoxification process, helping remove waste and keeping skin clear and healthy.
Supports Immune Health: When your lymphatic system functions optimally, it also benefits your immune health, adding an extra layer of wellness to your skincare routine.
Getting the Most Out of Your Sokörpe Treatments
To maximize your results, we recommend pairing treatments with Sokörpe’s specially formulated skincare products. Using their Vitamin C Solution before your Endermomassage or Lymphatic Drainage session can enhance brightness and overall radiance. Following up with a nourishing moisturizer will seal in hydration and help maintain your glow.
Why Sokörpe is a Must-Have for Wellness Lovers
If you’re someone who values natural, sustainable beauty and wellness, the Sokörpe Compact Intelligent Skincare & Body Care Machine is made for you. This European-made, high-quality device delivers real results in a gentle way that honors your skin’s needs. The machine is also versatile, offering additional treatments like Oxygen Infusion and Microdermabrasion to keep your skin looking its best.
