10 of my favorite easy glow up tips! 𐙚 ‧₊˚ ⋅
get a gua sha!! not expensive at all and made such a difference in my face shape and carving out my cheek bones and jawline. there’s lots of good tutorials on tiktok or youtube!
tea in the morning/night! there’s so many teas to help with different things but my favorite’s are spearmint tea for clearing skin and green tea for reducing bloating.
ice your face! helps SO much with de-puffing and closing up your pores! dipping your face in a bowl with ice water can reduce inflammation, help with acne and reduce oily skin!
make sure to get enough sleep! It’s so easy to stay up scrolling on tumblr until the sun comes up but getting enough sleep is so important mentally and physically!
find a skincare routine that works for you and remember too much skincare can be bad for your skin! my skin was breaking out the worst when i was using a bunch of skincare and It’s cleared so much since i simplified my routine.
use a lash/brow serum! my favorite brand is grande lash and it’s a little pricey but using castor oil works as well and it’s super affordable.
going on walks! I’ve never been a fan of intense exercises and I’m a chronic bed rotter but putting on my favorite hot girl playlist and strutting on the treadmill/sidewalk is genuinely so fun!
rosemary oil for hair growth! my holy grail of hair growth products along with a scalp massager. my whole life my hair grew so slow and since using rosemary oil i have to trim my bangs twice a month sometimes!
i cannot stress this one enough..wear what YOU want! don’t let new trends or judgment from others stop you from embracing your true style. we look our best when we feel most confident!
most importantly ~ take care of yourself! make sure you’re eating enough, drinking water, listening to your body and being gentle with yourself always. improving ourselves can be so fun but make sure it’s not at the expense of your mental health <3

things that make me feel clean and refresh⋆.ೃ࿔*:・🫧
♡ ofc nothing makes me feel super refreshed like a shower. i've talked about this in my other posts but showering is like a reset button and you will always feel better after taking one
♡ using baby powder, especially in the hotter months
ok i am in LOVE with the way baby powder smells and i've been obsessed with using it this summer. it rly helps during the hotter months when u sweat and i highly recommend…💬🎀
♡ a tall glass of water with LOTS of ice (bonus points if u add a lemon wedge)
♡ scents with notes of coconut, baby powder, vanilla, and white floral
♡ a cold sheet mask
i say a cold sheet mask because when the sheet mask is room temperature, its still refreshing but if u leave it in the fridge for a couple of minutes before u put it on it makes a WORLD of a difference i swear…💬🎀
♡ getting off of my phone and doing literally ANYTHING else

Unlocking Glow: The science behind moisturizing aging skin
Skin aging is complicated with many variables affecting both its health and appearance. The main factor is the skin’s ability to hold moisture which diminishes with age due to lifestyle choices, environmental stressors and genetic factors. Our skin loses its natural ability to produce oil as we age which causes dryness and loss of elasticity. Fine lines and wrinkles become more visible as the stratum corneum, the outermost layer of the skin, loses its ability to hold moisture. Understanding this transition is key to formulating effective moisturizing routines that can make a big impact on skin hydration and texture. Among the many creams out there some stand out for their ability to regenerate aging skin. Look for products with hyaluronic acid which can hold water up to 1000 times its weight and keep the skin plump and hydrated. Glycerin and ceramides help to fortify the skin barrier which prevents moisture loss and overall skin health. Antioxidants like vitamins C and E combat oxidative stress which accelerates the aging process. A combination of these ingredients can create an oasis of hydration for aging skin and restore its glow.
Essential Ingredients: What to look for in a renewing moisturizer
Choosing the right moisturizer can seem like a daunting task but it can be made easier by focusing on a few key points. To keep your skin hydrated and plump look for products with hyaluronic acid. Glycerin is another great ingredient to watch out for. It pulls moisture from the air and creates a barrier on your skin that keeps moisture in without feeling heavy. Look for products with ceramides which are essential fatty acids that help repair the skin’s natural barrier and prevent dryness. Adding oils to your skincare routine can boost the effectiveness of your moisturizer. Almond and jojoba oils have fatty acids that soften and calm and add extra hydration. Look for products with antioxidants to combat free radicals and healthy complexion like vitamin E or green tea extract. Also make sure the moisturizer you choose doesn’t have harsh chemicals or perfumes that can irritate your skin and counteract the energizing ingredients you’re looking for.

Kamins Menopause Skin Cream Kx - improve skin's appearance while providing essential nutrients and moisture to the complexion prior to, during and after menopause.
Application Tips: How to get the most out of your moisturizer for youthful glow
Application is key to getting the most out of your skincare product. For optimal absorption of the nutrients into your skin start with a clean face. After cleansing apply your cream immediately to seal in moisture. Dab the product onto the forehead, cheeks, nose and chin with your fingertips then use light upward circular motions to massage it in. This boosts circulation and absorption and makes your skin glow. Layer your moisturizer with other products for best results. Apply a serum afterwards that targets your skin concerns, such as a brightening vitamin C serum or a hydrating hyaluronic acid serum. Never underestimate the environment; moisturizing your skin in a humid environment can help with hydration. Stick to your regimen during the day and top up your skin’s moisture after being outside especially in harsh weather. Use these tips to look younger!
Q&A
Q1: What to look for when choosing a moisturizer for mature skin? A: When choosing an item for mature skin look for products that have hyaluronic acid, peptides and antioxidants. These hydrate, rebuild and protect the skin barrier. Also look for those with vitamins A, C and E as they nourish and give youthful glow. Q2: How often should I apply to see results? A: For best results apply moisturizer twice a day—morning and night. Consistency is key to allow the moisture to penetrate deep into the skin and for skin cell regeneration, to give you better skin texture and appearance. Q3: Are there moisturizers for different skin types? A: Yes! If you have oily skin go for lightweight, gel based that hydrate without clogging pores. For dry or sensitive skin thicker creams or oils can provide deeper hydration and barrier protection. Combination skin types may benefit from a balance of both—light moisturizer during the day and richer formula at night. Q4: Can a moisturizer help with fine lines and wrinkles? A: Yes, it can definitely help reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Ingredients like retinol and peptides stimulate collagen production, hyaluronic acid hydrates and plumps the skin from within. Look for a moisturizer that targets these concerns. Q5: Is it too late to start using moisturizers to combat aging? A: It’s never too late to start! The earlier the better but incorporating a good moisturizer into your skincare routine at any age can give you visible results. Regular use can increase skin hydration, improve elasticity and reduce signs of aging over time. Q6: Can a moisturizer work with other anti-aging products? A: Yes, moisturizers can work with other anti-aging products. Make sure your it is compatible with active ingredients from serums or treatments. Apply these products first, let them absorb fully then apply your moisturizer to lock in hydration. Q7: What are the top moisturizers for mature skin? A: Here are a few: - CeraVe Skin Renewing Night Cream - PCA Skin Collagen Hydrator - La Roche-Posay Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer This article shows you some of the best according to dermatologists! Q8: Should I look for SPF in my moisturizer? A: Yes! Using a moisturizer with SPF during the day is a must to protect your skin from sun damage, a major cause of aging. Look for a broad-spectrum SPF of at least 30 to protect your skin while hydrating. Q9: Can lifestyle changes work with my moisturizer? A: Yes! A balanced diet, staying hydrated, reducing stress and not smoking can all help your skin. Combine these with regular moisturizer use and you’ll get better results and healthier skin. Q10: What’s the bottom line? A: The journey to healthier aging skin starts from within and with the right external care. A good product is a powerful tool to combat aging, to keep your skin plump, hydrated and radiant at any age. Do this daily ritual for best results—your skin will thank you! GLOW UP DIARY #5 : FIND YOUR PURPOSE
"pain is a price to pay for happiness"

#5:FIND PURPOSE
✉️:Finding a meaningful life purpose is a profound journey that many people embark on at different stages of their lives. It involves discovering what brings fulfillment, direction, and satisfaction. Identifying a purpose can help guide decisions, inspire actions, and provide a sense of meaning in both personal and professional aspects of life.
1.Ikigai: The Japanese Secret to Finding Your Life’s Purpose
﹙ 💌 ﹚ we will explore the concept of Ikigai, a Japanese term that means “a reason for being.” Ikigai is important to know because it offers a pathway to finding purpose and joy in life. It involves harmonizing four key elements: what you love, what you are good at, what the world needs, and what you can be rewarded for...
2.EVERYTHING ABOUT IKIGAI
Basically, ikigai is seen as the convergence of the following four core elements:
1. What you love (your passion)
2. What the world needs (your mission)
3. What you are good at (your vocation)
4. What you can get paid for (your profession)
The word ikigai, that space in the middle of these four primary elements, is seen by the Japanese as the source of value or what make one's life truly worthwhile.
THE 10 RULES OF IKIGAI
1. Stay Active, Don’t Retire:
- The idea behind this rule is to keep your mind and body engaged in meaningful activities. Retirement doesn't mean stopping all productive work. It encourages finding activities you enjoy and continuing to contribute to society, which can provide a sense of purpose and satisfaction.
-Benefits: Staying active helps maintain cognitive function, physical health, and emotional well-being. It can prevent feelings of uselessness and isolation.
2. Take It Slow:
- Embrace a slower, more deliberate pace of life. Instead of rushing through tasks, take time to savor and appreciate the process.
- Benefits:This can reduce stress and anxiety, improve the quality of your work and help u enjoy life more fully. It encourages mindfulness and living in the present moment.
3. Don’t Fill Your Stomach:
- The 80% rule, also known as "hara hachi bu" advises stopping eating when you're 80% full, rather than completely sated.
- Benefits: This practice promotes better digestion, prevents overeating, and can lead to a healthier weight. It’s associated with longevity and reduced risk of chronic diseases.
4. Surround Yourself with Good Friends:
- Build and maintain strong, positive relationships. Spend time with people who uplift and support you.
- Benefits: Good friends provide emotional support, reduce stress, and enhance your sense of belonging. Strong social connections are linked to better mental health and increased life expectancy.
5. Get in Shape for Your Next Birthday:
- Regular physical activity is essential for maintaining health and energy. Aim to improve or maintain your fitness level each year.
- Benefits: Exercise boosts physical health, mental clarity, and mood. It helps prevent chronic diseases, improves sleep, and enhances overall quality of life.
6. Smile:
- Adopting a positive attitude and smiling can improve your mood and the mood of those around you.
- Benefits: Smiling releases endorphins, reduces stress, and promotes a positive outlook. It can improve social interactions and relationships.
7. Reconnect with Nature:
- Spend time outdoors and appreciate the natural world. This can involve walking in parks, hiking, gardening, or simply enjoying a sunny day.
- Benefits: Nature exposure reduces stress, boosts mood, and improves mental health. It can also enhance physical health and encourage a sense of wonder and connection to the world.
8. Give Thanks:
- Practice gratitude regularly by acknowledging and appreciating the positive aspects of your life.
- Benefits: Gratitude enhances happiness, reduces negative emotions, and improves mental health. It can also strengthen relationships and foster a more positive outlook on life.
9. Live in the Moment:
- Focus on the present rather than dwelling on the past or worrying about the future. Engage fully in whatever you are doing at the moment.
- Benefits:This practice, also known as mindfulness, reduces stress and enhances enjoyment and satisfaction. It can improve mental clarity and emotional regulation.
10. Follow Your Ikigai:
-Discover and pursue your Ikigai—the intersection of what you love, what you are good at, what the world needs, and what you can be paid for. Let this guide your life choices and actions.
- Benefits:Finding and following your Ikigai leads to a fulfilling and meaningful life. It helps align your passions with your skills and societal contributions, resulting in a sense of purpose and happiness.
3.Discover Your Ikigai: Guided Journal Prompts for a Meaningful Life
Ikigai journal prompts can help you explore and clarify your purpose and passions. Here are some prompts to guide your reflection:

Femme Fatale Guide: Healthy Habits To Look & Feel Your Best Without Restriction or Unrealistic Routines
Realistic ways to maintain a healthy life/body/appearance (size and weight are all personal, not the most important metric – for certain). No diet culture or delulu-land tips here.
What I've done to maintain my 30-pound weight loss for over a decade, glowing clear skin (no pimples or discoloration, etc.), and super healthy, full & shiny hair, still living life and enjoying it – the mindful way.
Eat home-cooked meals & (plant-based) whole foods – 90-95% of the time
Incorporate at least 1 salad into my daily routine (either a large, hearty lunch salad or a simple green salad as a starter with dinner)
Include at least 1 fruit/vegetable in every meal or snack
Never restrict food groups – whole grains/potatoes, healthy fats, protein-rich plant foods, and produce are all essential to consume every day
Focus on meals, but have whole food snack options on hand to enjoy if genuinely hungry (mainly fruit, lupini beans, edamame, carrots/celery/cucumber with hummus, plain popcorn, handful of almonds/cashews)
Have breakfast after one coffee (before a second) and have dinner late enough (8-9:30 pm) to curb late-night hunger
Only have fruit and tea after dinner; Always stop consuming food at least 3 hours before bed for better sleep/digestion
Order whatever I want when going out to eat, but split dessert
Have at least one indulgent meal/dessert per week
No sugary cocktails – wine, champagne/prosecco, martinis, gin & tonic, margarita, French Connection, Sambuca, Grappa, tequila on the rocks, etc. are great options. Bellinis/fruit plus wine/spirits cocktails are a good middle ground. Sugary drinks worsen the hangover – big-time
Perceive healthy eating as a form of enjoyment, creativity, and nourishment, not restriction or deprivation (it's not if done liberally enough)
Consume a vitamin B12 and vitamin D supplement daily. Keep digestive enzymes on hand for when they're necessary
Always have a large glass of water first thing in the morning (before coffee) and by my side all day long
No soda, juices, sugary drinks, etc. Black coffee, tea, and water only on the daily – wine and no-sugar alcoholic drinks on rare occasions. Smoothies can be a great snack or breakfast, though!
Incorporate an (almost) daily walk into my schedule as a form of exercise and a mental health reset (I aim for 4-5 miles/10Kish steps per day on average)
Do short, low-impact strengthen training exercises 3x a week (15-30 mins each usually) for bone health & toning
Never forcing myself to do strenuous exercise/workout formally in a gym – it's not for me; it doesn't make me feel/look better and throws my hunger & energy levels way off. To each their own, though
Have a variety of playlists ready to go for waking up, working, dancing, walking/workouts, doing chores, and reading/relaxing
Internalizing that sexual health is a core aspect of your health & well-being – on all counts
Maintaining a simple skincare routine 2x per week with high-quality products and a couple of weekly treatments
Prioritizing my body care routine with as much as my facial skincare routine
Wearing at least SPF 30 daily
Exfoliating 2-3x per week
Learning what hair products work for my hair type; Using a deep conditioning mask and a scalp mask weekly
Using only cold water when washing my hair
Incorporating face & body massages into my weekly at-home routine
Using Uriage lip balm, hand cream, and deodorant religiously
Flossing 1-2 times a day/using an electric toothbrush

summertime beauty routines⋆.ೃ࿔*:・👙
since we are now in the hotter seasons of the year i wanna share some routines, tips and regimens to stay fresh all summer 🍹
SUMMER SKINCARE AND HAIRCARE ;
during the warmer months i transition from a thicker moisturizer to a moisturizer with a gel formula, otherwise the pores of the skin would get clogged. the gel moisturizer would feel rly light on ur skin whereas the thicker moisturizer would just feel too heavy.
when u go swimming whether thats at the beach or the pool, leave in products are the way to GO. bring a leave in conditioner to apply onto your hair after a swim to make sure that ur hair is protected from the salt/chlorine and the sun.
SUMMER SCENT RECOMMENDATIONS ;
when looking for summer scents i gravitate towards more fruity scents for daytime events. and for evening or night events i gravitate towards muskier, more shimmery scents. a fragrance that i recommend for the summer is sol de janeiro rio radiance.
some body products that i recommend for the summer are the watermelon and coconut scented tree hut scrubs. the maui hair products. cabana girl body wash from philosophy. the bum bum body scrub.
STAYING FRESH ;
keep ur body hair trimmed or dont keep it at all bcuz hair traps odor and in order to stay fresh during the summertime, where we r always sweating. hair control/elimination = odor control/elimination.
use glycolic acid on ur armpits at night and use it on ur body in the day time. glycolic acid helps with strawberry legs too, not only odor. essentially its like a toner but for ur body skin. it goes before lotion.
last but not least dont forget to stay hydrated and apply ur SPF and smile
