How I feel my Batfam ships may or may not have children (please don't take me seriously I just need wholesomeness):

Dickkory: multiple bio kids, I'm pretty sure this is canon in some future/alternative universes. I think DC should set Kori free on a PTA meeting with no one explain to her the absurd social rules Karens set. The shitty mothers would hate her because she's over here, playing dumb on purpose until they're forced to admit they're just being annoying/egocentric and not actually asking to better their kid's education. Also, career day would be crazy considering Dick changes jobs every few months to get involved into whatever business he's investigating. Like, one year he's a cop, next he's a super model, next he's a college professor somehow. Kori thinks it's really funny so she insists on Dick being the one to go.

Dickbabs: they either don't have kids (just adopt a bunch of rescues) or maybe have one adoptive kid. Other than Cass who is Babs daughter I don't care what anyone thinks. Just Dick, Barbara and Barbara's daughter who is also Dick's sister. Also, Babs got lucky with Cass being homeschooled, the second she has to deal with the school system she's on the phone with the president blackmailing him to fix it. Easy to say, Dick deals with school exclusively from them on.

BabsDinah: they're the lesbian aunts (that end up doing a lot of the parenting because they can't help themselves). Like, neither of them would really want to have kids of their own, but the second a young vigilante with a shit ton of issues gets dropped in their doorstep it's on. Like, officially they'd be mentors, but they all see each other as family.

Stephcass: Cass is a ticking bomb, she's going to find an ex-murderer kid in need of guidance and just bring them home. Steph is not thrilled at first because they're so young still until she realizes "oh wait no, we're like, adult adults now" and then she has a crisis (unrelated to the child). Also Steph would love love to prove she's better than her father (but would be terrified of messing up). At first they're really chill but soon enough they turn it into a competition with the other Bats. Not a competition between their kids, mind you ("no Cass, that's bad parenting") but a competition of who's the best parent. Jason is terrified of them, but the rest are absolutely down.

Jayroy: asides from our beautiful wonderful and just overall fantastic Lian Harper, I think they might end up adopting some kids. What can I say? I think Jason should have Bruce's adoption gene, but specially for kids in dangerous/hard situations. I'm talking the older kids that never get adopted or younger kids with some sort of disability that need extra accomodations. I think Jason would try very hard to avoid them being vigilantes at least until they're 18. Roy is more chill with vigilantism because well, Lian turned out fine, but he respects Jason's opinion. Most important, no child of his is going to be a Robin to Bruce fucking Wayne. Also, everyone in the PTA would love them, they'd be super involved and Jason would make sure to bribe the appropriate people with muffins.

TimKon: test tube baby, not on purpose though. Like, I don't see Tim as someone actively wanting kids (especially not biological ones) and Kon wouldn't want his kid having to face the problems he did. But like, if Cadmus pulls some weird shit and there's a super baby for the taking, they would both want to make sure they give him the most loving upbringing possible. Another option is Tim accidentally creating their baby while trying to clone Kon while he was dead. That one's plausible and has a lot of angst hurt/comfort potential. Also, Teen Dad Tim after being extremely parentified during his early teens taking care of Bruce (while grieving everyone!) is evil , but a compelling kind of evil. Like a trainwreck you can't look away from.

TimBer: dual income no kids kinda queers. They're over here taking their various nephews to Olive Garden and Disneyland only to drop them off and go live their lovely stress free lives. They may adopt a kid, but that would be only when they really settled down. Let Tim enjoy his 20s (if he ever gets there) my boy has been through enough.

Dukeizzy: again, maybe it's because Duke's still pretty young so he hasn't showed much interest or inclination toward parenting, but I don't have a lot of info to go with. Personally either Dual income "take the kids to do airsoft" kinda uncle/aunt, I can see both of them being really good at giving advice to younger vigilantes (the whole situation of We Are Robin gives you a lot of insight in the power of child vigilantes separated from any mentors, so they're in a particular good spot to mediate between the kids and adults). In the case of them having kids, I think they should inherit Dukes autism (I love that headcanon) and both he and Izzy would be those parents making damn sure their kids get the accommodations they need specially at school. If their kids choose to become vigilantes you bet they're gonna be unionized.

Also, I don't have any particular ship for Damian but you bet that if that boy ever becomes a parent they'd be the softest, sweetest father in the world.

"BTAS Renee: A supporting character who's just there to play Good Cop to Bullock's Bad Cop. Not the worst starting point of all time, but she has, generously, half a personality, and could be replaced in almost every appearance by an unnamed stock character. Post-Crisis Renee: Greg Rucka took one look at her, went ""oh that's a suicidal lesbian and her creators just didn't notice"", then spent thirteen years putting her through psychological torment to rebuild her into a fascinatingly messy hero who understands that it is impossible to be both a good person and a cop. It's one of the (if not THE) best long term character arcs in DC - so few writers get a chance to do a slow burn on this scale, and she just kept getting better as it went. 10/10 for both the results and the glow up process."

New 52 hit everyone hard but Roy 🤢 What happened to my hot single father with decades of character growth? Oh his daughter never existed and he's hanging out with Jason Todd for some reason

Roy Harper's downgrade didn't come all at once, but when it started it went downhill fast. After the failure of "Green Arrow/Black Canary", the editors decided to take the Arrow Family in a new and terrible direction and Roy was most notably affected. After "JLA: Cry for Justice" ended with him losing his arm and most devastatingly his daughter Lian, the downgrade took a worse turn with "Rise of Arsenal" where he is abandoned by everyone after his relapse and is manipulated by Cheshire to join Deathstroke's team in the latter "Titans: Villains for Hire". Then the "New 52" happened and Roy's achievements, character development, and the many relationships he's had including his daughter were retconned away. What was once a seasoned hero who once led the Titans and the Outsiders, a devoted single father and mentor to younger heroes, and a man who wanted to do as much good as he could was now a clingy manchild whose only friend- Jason Todd who is deserving of his own nomination for Worst Downgrade- openly and frequently puts him down with little to no pushback. Yes, even Roy's addiction was changed from heroin to alcohol and it's no longer Dinah Lance who stayed up with him during his withdrawal but Killer Croc who begrudgingly became his AA sponsor. Even visually Roy was done dirty by the New 52. Post Crisis, he was often designed with a thick build, compared to Nightwing's more acrobatic build. New 52, he's thin and kind of greasy looking, especially when drawn by Kenneth Rocafort. It's not until "Infinite Frontier" that he was given more of a solid build. Roy has recovered some since then, especially reuniting with Lian and looking much better, but the 15 years of bad writing and bad editorial decisions has certainly done a number on his reputation that readers who first saw him in "Red Hood and the Outlaws" are thrown by how wildly different he was before the "New 52".

BatFam OC headcanons Pt. 2

Ramona Todd-Harper

Adopted daughter of Jason Todd and Roy Harper.

Full legal name is Ramona Luisa Todd-Harper

When she was 8 her mother and father gave her to Jason as Red Hood because they were going to die.

Jason was going to put her in an orphanage but realized they had a connection and decided to take her in.

They became very close and about 2 years later he was able to adopt her. (Lots of legal stuff had to happen first)

When Ramona was about 12 Jason and Roy got married.

Lian came into the picture about a year later.

Ramona and Lian are really close. She is also close with Roy. He even taught her archery.

When Ramona is around 15 she became a vigilante called Bluejay. She uses daggers and throwing knives and occasionally a bow and arrow.

She became a vigilante with Crash, her best friend.

Everyone called them the Arkham Duo.

Ramona is Pan romantic and Asexual.

Her girlfriend's name is Maria Prince.

Her friend group consists of: Crash Quinzel (the crazy gay friend), Maria Prince (the Amazonian Lesbian, and Ramona's girlfriend), Blaise Addams (the angry bisexual), and Kaity Davis (the confused/oblivious bisexual)

okay i can't find many posts that actually go into detail. so the little league originates from a fic which probably won't ever happen but the main cast is as such: jon (as superboy), damian (as batman for plot reasons*), lian harper (as fletcher), mar'i grayson (as nightstar), milagro reyes (as a green lantern), and rani carter (as booster gold at times).

jon is openly bi but everyone mistakes him for a great cishet ally! this is a running joke. he tries to flirt with a guy who asks him about damian. he tries to flirt with a girl? they ask him about one of the other girls on the team. and jon of course always helps out like ;-;

damian is initially batman after taking over for bruce who is retired or dead. idk. why damian? plot reasons that i haven't hammered out, but the ultimate ending for him is that he chooses not to be batman, and it does pass on to cass cain. he initially is the "leader" but realistically jon is behind him 90% of the time helping with personal relations.

lian and mar'i are dating. i think lian should have a long-haired butch thing going at times. mar'i gets to pick on damian more than anyone.

the milagro/rani agenda exists. so rani is a lesbian to me. she dresses a LOT like rip in her free time. she mostly works as the team's mechanic/base of operations coordinator, but she will put on a suitif she has to. she's very awkward. jon eventually develops a huge crush on her, and they date (mostly because milagro tells rani that jon is a huge catch and rani buys everything she says). there's a lot of tension because jon does not respect booster at all, and rani is very protective of him. they do eventually come to better terms, and while jon still doesn't necessarily respect booster as a hero, he can acknowledge that booster is a good parent to rani. rani of course learns she's a lesbian.

Notably, this marks Dreamer's first time being in the comics (she was first introduced in the Supergirl tv show as a descendant of Dream Girl). Dreamer was the first transgender superhero on tv and I'm very excited that she's here to stay!!! (Also apparently the actor who played Dreamer in the show wrote the story, which????? What the fuck, you go girl, that's awesome!?!? I wish I was that talented)

Extremely excited to see Jess again so quickly (pun intended). If you don't know who Jess Chambers is, they're my favorite non-binary Flash and they are absolutely wonderful. (I adore them) I loved their relationship with Aquawoman in Future State (it was one of the only things about Future State that I liked). Unfortunately, that's probably the last we'll see of Jess and Andy together, as Andy is a baby currently (unless they bring in an alternate universe Andy??). But honestly tho, I don't care if Jess is in a relationship or not as long as they are featured in comics.

Love to see the Gay Dads™ being featured front and center in the Pride anthology. Alan Scott, the absolute legend, just came out to his kids recently and it was beautiful. Hopefully this story includes his lovely children and the JSA, because we love to see them being wholesome together.

Speaking of gays that we love, I'm incredibly excited for the return of the Pied Piper. The first openly gay man in dc, Hartley used to be a main character in the Flash series. Best friends with Wally West, Hartley stopped showing up in comics the same time he did. Hopefully now that Wally is the main Flash again Hartley will retake his role as a series regular (and we can finally have Piper's long awaited wedding).

didn't finish: Oh, started a book called Gideon The Ninth by Tamsyn Muir and I REALLY wanted to like it (because lesbian romance and dark!vibes) but it was all a bit too like...post-apocolyptic, not the vibe for me and I didn't finish it. but the beginning was solid! just not for me!
