Glow-up tips that actually work from your favourite beauty girly (me)
Hot girls don't gatekeep, so here are some of my favourite glow-up tips that actually work. <3
Skin
Find a skincare routine that works for you!! It took me years to find mine, but now my skin is literally perfect. <3 (let me know if you guys want a detailed skincare routine!!)
Don't pick your skin, the less you touch your face, the better.
I believe ice rollers are bs…
If you struggle with dark circles, don't try fixing them through skincare. Most likely, the problem comes from your diet or stress.
Dry brushing is a game-changer!!
Use lotion after every shower and apply a body spray before the lotion is fully absorbed into your skin. You'll smell amazing for DAYS.
Don't try homemade skincare if you already struggle with your skin. I learned it the hard way, lol…
WASH YOUR MAKEUP BRUSHES
Hair
The more heat you use, the more damage you'll have.
SILK PILLOWCASES
Never sleep with wet or damp hair.
Stop buying cheap shampoo and conditioner, also make sure to check the ingredients!!
Some ingredients to avoid: Sulfates, Parabens, Polyethene Glycols, Triclosan, Formaldehyde, Synthetic Fragrances and Colors, Dimethicone, Retinyl Palmitate.
I trim my hair every 3 months.
If you have damaged hair, invest in some Olaplex!! my favourites are N4c, N6 and N7. <3
Diet
green juice actually makes you feel better. I make mine at home and LOVE it :)
Balance is key!! I swear by the 80/20 rule.
Drink more water, even if you think you're drinking enough. DRINK MORE
Keto is BS <3
Focus on eating more protein. Usually, low-fat products have more protein, so I just try to buy those, lol.
I eat gluten-free, not by choice… But it did clear my acne, so…
Take supplements, get a blood test done, discuss it with a doctor and start taking whatever they recommend. GAME CHANGER.
EAT MORE VEGETABLES and fruits.
Lifestyle
Focus on being more active, walk more, workout, join a club or sport, dance, whatever works for you!!
I aim for 10K steps, I live in a big city, so I usually walk more than that but still.
Hobbies that don't include screen time. Trust me.
Find your personal style and ALWAYS dress up. <3
TREAT YOURSELF. Buy yourself flowers, and presents, go to your favourite restaurants, vacations!!
Read more. As a classics lover, I can't imagine a life without literature, but even if you don't like classics, any book is better than no book!!
Take more pictures. I've noticed that I have become a lot more present since I've started taking more pictures!! highly recommend :)
I hate to say this, but getting up earlier is lowkey kinda great... been doing it for a few weeks, and unfortunately, I do feel better... they were right...
Get a cat. :)
Mindset
Stop assuming that everyone hates you, they don't, trust me.
Journaling, manifesting, law of attraction, affirmations.
one of my favourite affirmations: "if I weren't capable, the opportunity wouldn't have come my way; I belong here." <3
Stop hanging out with people who drain your energy
stop consuming media that makes you feel bad.
What would the highest version of yourself do?
If you change your mindset, you will change your life.
Romanticise every aspect of your life. <3
As always, please feel free to share your own suggestions and glow-up tips in the comments! <3

effortlessly pretty⋆.ೃ࿔*:・💅🏽
in this post im gonna talk about how to maintain an effortlessly pampered and groomed appearance ✨
STAYING HIGH MAINTENANCE TO BE LOW MAINTENANCE ;
doing high maintenance things so that u can be low maintenance for the majority of the time is the way to GO. some high maintenance procedures and regimens include...
getting ur lashes done
getting ur eyebrows done
manicures and pedicures
hydrafacials etc
and you can also commit to doing high maintenance things on a more regular basis so that u can maintain urself without too much effort through things like learning how to do and maintain ur own brows, waxing etc.
COLLECT THE BASICS ;
if you invest in supplies to do ur own procedures then you can save a lot of money + you'd be learning a new skill that u can POTENTIALLY monetize off of. its always good to be self sufficient so make sure to invest in things to do ur own beauty procedures. things like...
nail lamp + nail polishes, files, acrylic nails, press ons ETC
facial steamers and other facial tools
but collecting the basics include things like hair rollers, facial masks, things that u can find at target and easily restock if u needed to.
HAIR, SKIN, NAILS ;
i refer to hair skin and nails as the BASE. i think that if u have ur hair skin and nails together then EVERYTHING will look put together so they have top priority. learn ur hair type and how to take care of and style ur hair type properly in order to keep it healthy.
learn ur skin type and how to take care of it properly, i recommend my skincare master post if ur looking for a place to start. and to maintain perfect nails i recommend trimming + shaping weekly and invest in a good nail gel and cuticle oil to keep ur nails on 10.
HOT TIP ; to grow out my nails i like to soak them in a mixture of water, salt and olive oil for 15-20 minutes…💬🎀
INNER GLOW ;
ur health makes a huge difference in the way that u look and feel which is why its important to get adequate sleep, exercise and eat foods that are healthy for you in order to have a balanced diet. make sure that ur drinking enough water and sweating out toxins.
THE NIGHT ROUTINE ;
having a night routine thats high maintenance so that u can be low maintenance in the morning not only saves you so much time, but its a great way to get any beauty regimens done without worrying about being seen cuz ur going to bed anyways.
for my night time beauty routine i like to slug my face in aquaphor (make sure that u test out a small amount if u wanna try and see how ur skin reacts bcuz everyones skin is different) i use this hair device that curls my hair and i always sleep in a bonnet.

pretty privilege in academia
'pretty privilege' is the idea that people who are perceived as more attractive often receive more opportunities, attention, and rewards compared to those who are considered less attractive. this concept is not limited to social settings but also especially extends to (in) academic environments.
in academia, research has shown that physically attractive students tend to receive higher grades because they are perceived as more intelligent, even when their actual performance does not differ significantly from their less attractive peers. this bias can affect everything from classroom interactions to evaluations and recommendations, potentially influencing a student's academic trajectory.
the underlying reason for this phenomenon is the "physical attractiveness stereotype," which assumes that attractive individuals possess positive qualities such as intelligence, sociability, and competence. it leads to preferential treatment and better opportunities for those who are deemed attractive.
it's important to be aware of this bias and strive to treat everyone fairly, regardless of their appearance. while we can't always control how others perceive us, we can make a conscious effort to judge people based on their abilities and contributions rather than their looks.
now, there is no benefit in ignoring it - because it simply will always exist. instead, you can choose to take advantage of it.
why people take advantage of pretty privilege:
increased opportunities: leveraging your attractiveness can open doors to more opportunities that might not be as easily accessible otherwise.
positive perceptions: attractive individuals are often perceived more favorably, which can lead to better treatment and more support from your peers and instructors.
enhanced confidence: knowing that you are perceived positively can boost your confidence, making you more likely to engage and participate actively in academic settings.
competitive edge: in highly competitive environments, any advantage can make a significant difference. taking advantage of pretty privilege can provide an edge over others.
but you should never only rely on your appearance to get you further in life - it is only to play the same game.
if you're interested in enhancing your appearance, here are some tips to help you feel more confident and attractive. it's important to remember that beauty is subjective and varies from person to person, and self-confidence plays a significant role in how others perceive you.
skincare: have a daily routine (cleanse, tone, and moisturize your skin. remember to use products suited to your skin type.) and apply sunscreen daily.
hair care: regularly maintain your hair, keeping it clean, well-trimmed, and styled in a way that suits your face shape and personal style. use conditioner and hair masks to keep your hair healthy and shiny.
oral hygiene: brush and floss your teeth daily to maintain a bright smile and fresh breath. visit the dentist regularly.
dress well: wear clothes that fit well and flatter your body shape. choose outfits that reflect your personal style and make you feel confident. dress appropriately for different occasions.
accessories: use accessories like jewelry, watches, and scarves to add a touch of elegance and build your outfits. ensure accessories complement your overall look without overpowering it.
physical health: engage in regular physical activity to stay fit and healthy. exercise can improve your posture and boost your confidence. eat a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains to support your health and appearance. drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated and glowing.
attitude: a genuine smile can make you appear more approachable and attractive. maintain good posture, make eye contact, and use confident body language.
social skills: improve your communication skills to connect better with others. show genuine interest in others and practice empathy in your interactions. charisma and behavior can make or break appearing attractive.
remember! enhancing your appearance should be about making yourself feel good and confident, rather than solely seeking external validation. what you find attractive and enjoy should come before what other people like.

i hope this was helpful! ❤️nene

What did you do to glow up?
so for context i'm 31 and i had a baby 2 years ago - answer below but bear with me - i feel the need to preface as i feel the focus on external beauty and glowing up on here is often super problematic. i sort of go in waves with my appearance, where i'll focus specifically on one area, then just go on living my life. then when i'm in the mood again, another area. i don't obsess over it, i think it can get toxic really fast. i enjoy the energy and benefits of looking my best but i don't feel that i need to necessarily look perfect or like a supermodel. i've had times of my life when i looked terrible and nothing bad happened lol. in general i have a very normal (but happy) life and my main goals are intellectual pursuits. but as a lover of beauty, in general i've spent the last 10-15 years thinking about how to look my best for the pleasure of it so it's hard to summarise everything.
i'm in the middle of a focused glow up at the moment and here's what i'm doing:
regular exercise (pilates 5x week, spin cycle when i can) and cleaning up my diet (mostly seasonal-ish whole foods, i love food and i'm not strict at all, i don't need to look like a model or celeb so i enjoy myself)
figuring out my hair care and styling. i like sleek shiny princess hair. i paid to see the most senior stylist possible at my salon and she also gave me a lot of tips and better understood how to cut my hair to suit me. worth it.
strict AM + PM skincare routine + medispa occasionally for the super intense facial treatment that gives me celebrity skin.
upgrading my personal style. especially paying more attention to my seasonal colours + silhouettes that actually flatter me. being brutally honest with what looks good or bad, which i think takes a really healthy mindset about your body. makes a ridiculous amount of difference to have attention to detail though.
learning how to do my make up to suit me. the clean girl look makes me look dead. i'm a dark winter in seasonal colour so i need more make up + more saturated colours. instant glow up.
working on my mindset, mental health, relationships, etc. honestly makes a major difference. no use prettifying the outside if you feel like shit inside (though also, care and attention to oneself = improved mental health, so it comes from both ends). life is a lot easier now that i'm happier and i feel i'm generally average-ish looking but i am perceived and treated as more attractive than i am (in terms of beauty standards) because i have a grounded and confident energy. really it's the energy that matters, not what you actually look like. that's what i believe most.
anyway, if there's any areas or ideas specifically anyone would like me to explore more, i'm happy to do so. just let me know.

Complete Guide : How to looksmax & drastically improve your appearance
Looksmaxing refers to the practice of enhancing one's physical appearance through various methods like grooming, skincare, fitness, etc. It's about YOU and feeling the need to constantly remind yourself that you can be better. In this guide, I’m sharing with you ridiculously specific tips to drastically improve your appearance.
body language
Being beautiful is not only about having big lips and a striking jawline. No, it's about the feeling you give to other people, about your energy. Furthermore, it's about how you have embodied your energy. The only way you can embody this truly, is by accepting your authentic energy.
· make eye contact
· keep your head up
· don’t play with your jewelry
· be extremely, obnoxiously confident
· stand up straight, push your shoulders back slightly and open up your chest
· smile more often, it will make you look more charismatic & happy, so you will appear more attractive, as many say “be happy and you will be beautiful”
diet
Proper nutrition plays a crucial role in transforming your skin from the inside out. By eating a balanced diet that is rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, you can help to maintain healthy, glowing skin. You will not only look your best, but also feel your best. Your diet should look like this :
· low carb
· low sugar
· 3L of water daily
· lots of veggies & fruit
· high protein, fibre & potassium
· only eat organic grass-fed meat (for meat)
· 3 Brazilian nuts a day, they improve your skin health & hair health
· ginger shots, a combination of ginger, freshly squeezed lemon juice & water or coconut water. The health benefits of ginger shots include : decreasing inflammation, calming indigestion, and boosting immunity. Keep in mind that ginger shots are meant to be drunk all at once as a quick shot. Be careful not to drink more than one shot a day since too much ginger can cause heartburn.
makeup
· keep it natural, don’t overdo it and remember, less is more
· curl your lashes & mascara (Dior iconic overcurl is my fave mascara!!)
· contour & bronze cheeks (Chanel bronzer 395)
· wear skin tint, NOT foundation. Less is more.
· sublte white highlight on the inner corner (I recommend dior glow palette) DO NOT grab a white pencil and think it does the job. It doesn’t. It will make you look tacky.
· black or brown liner on the upper waterline
· blend your skin tint in with your hand, then go in bak with a damp beauty blender for a flawless finish
· for a natural eye lift effect, draw a line (with a skin coloured pencil) from your outer crease all the way to the temple & blend in a sculpted effect
lashes & brows
Facial harmony is important to the face, and your eyebrows need to work well with all of your face.
For face harmony ask the eyebrow tech this: the eyebrow arch of the eyebrow should be aligned with the upper orbital rim of your eye, reaching it’s highest point slightly lateral to the outer edge of the iris.
For the length the eyebrow should start at a point above the inner corner of the eye and end diagonally from the outer corner of the eye, extending slightly past it.
Also the thickness of the eyebrows should be balanced and in proportion to your facial features.
Ask to maintain thick eyebrows if you do and ask to get it if you don't. Thick eyebrows are good because thicker eyebrows are preferred for a more youthful appearance like you're still in your 20s. Think of an example as Brooke Shields.
Also the distance between the eyebrows should be approximately equal to the width of one eye.
Furthermore the overall shape of the eyebrows should complement your face natural contours, and tell them to take into account your facial structure and features.
Also, your tech needs to be well skilled and knowledgeable to even know these. So I highly recommend going to a very qualified professional in order to get your brows done. At the end of the day, it’s like you’re giving your beauty in their hands. You alternatively do it at home, remember to be precise.
· get fuller brows : brow serum, micro blading, brow pencil, etc.
· grow out your eyelashes with a mix of aloe vera & castor oil (apply as a serum) or use a lash serum (I recommend Latisse)
· dark brows & lashes are more attractive, in order to darken them here’s some advice :
solutions to darken brows & lashes
· brow tint & eyelash tint
· hybrid dye : lasts up to 7 weeks on the hairs & 10 days on the skin
· tint : lasts up to 4 weeks on the hairs & 3 days on the skin
· brow pommade & brow pencil
skin
· in order to achieve your perfect skin tone, eat more carotenoids.
what are carotenoids?
Carotenoids are yellow, orange & red organic pigments that are produced by plants and algae. Carotenoids give the characteristic color to pumpkins, carrots, corn, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, spinach, salmon, shrimp, kale, broccoli, cantaloupe, papaya, mangoes, oranges, bell peppers, watermelon, apricots, tangerines.
(In summary they are brightly colored fruits and vegetables)
So make sure to include these foods into your diet. If you want a shorter list of the foods that are the highest in carotenoids :
spinach, kale, corn, oranges, bell peppers, tomatoes, watermelon, sweet potatoes, cantaloupe, broccoli, carrots.
· get custom spray tan
· get laser hair removal (don’t forget to shave before your appointment)
· smile line removal : volufiline
· for clear skin, STOP eating sugar & dairy
· drink CELERY JUICE everyday for glowing skin
· a rich moisturizer, spf & a good diet is all you need
· it is better to get a real tan, not fake tanner
· laser mole removal
· to prevent ageing, you should SPF every single day, never use tanning beds, never smoke, use a retinoid nightly, wash your makeup off & maintain a skincare routine
· stay hydrated: drinking plenty of water and staying hydrated help maintain healthy, hydrated & plump skin
lips
Brushing your lips with a toothbrush. Brushing lips with a toothbrush each day can temporarily increase lip fullness. The brushing may stimulate blood circulation in the lips, leading to temporary redness and slight swelling. This increased blood flow can create the appearance of fuller lips for a short period. Brushing the lips with a toothbrush can help exfoliate the surface layer of dead skin cells, promoting smoother and potentially plumper looking lips, removing the buildup of dead skin cells.
· lip liner (love the Charlotte Tilbury liner & MAC lip pencil)
· ombré lips effect
· keep them plump & glossy
· if you want to whiten your teeth I suggest you get professional teeth whitening or use whitening teeth strips (if you have sensitive teeth, make sure to buy the right kind because you risk damaging the area)
get rid of face fat & bloating
Bloating significantly impacts your appeal by concealing the underlying bone structure, which plays a crucial role in defining the contours of your face.
Without well-defined bone structure, your facial features appear less distinct & with a rounder appearance, and it becomes challenging to achieve the desired prominent cheek bone effect.
This is probably the simplest way to get the perfect jawline ; all you have to do is massage your face regularly. A good massage will boost blood circulation and tone your facial structure. Make sure to start massaging from the bottom to the top, to prevent sagging. In case you’re asking yourself if this really works, believe it does. Stay consistent.
Even though you will hear many people say that 5-6 hours of sleep is sufficient for them, it isn’t enough to look your best. Without 8-10 hours of sleep, your body will start looking tired, and your face will look bloated and fluffy.
· avoid SALT & SUGAR & CARBS
Why? Because salt, sugar & carbohydrates each have distinct effects on your body that contribute to bloating. Refined carbohydrates, as well as excessive sugar intake (particularly added sugars that convert into glucose), can cause blood sugar spikes and subsequently lead to bloating. These substances, such as sugar (glucose), have the ability to draw water from your body or hinder its proper absorption.
· eat POTASSIUM (spinach, kale, sweet potatoes, bananas, avocados, spinach, tomatoes, watermelon)
· do intermittent fasting
· rub an ice cube on your skin in the morning, as ice tightens your skin and helps reduce puffiness.
· drink 3L of water daily
It is very important to prioritize the consumption of a substantial amount of water every day. Water plays a vital role in flushing out sodium from the body, effectively reducing sodium levels. Also, water intake helps regulate the body's water balance, preventing unnecessary water retention that can lead to facial bloating and puffiness.
· do face massages
· contour & bronze your cheeks
· mewing : smile with closed mouth and swallow, don’t force your tongue. It’s about keeping your tongue in the correct position at all times. There is also a bunch of videos on YouTube.
IN SUMMARY
· working out
· intermidate fasting and calorie deficit
· drink a ton of water
· try to eat less salt, sugar, carbs
· eat more potassium (bananas, potatoes...)
· rub an ice cube on your skin
hair
· Kerastase shampoo & conditioner and dyson for styling
· when doing a high ponytail or bun, don’t forget to slick back your baby hairs around your ears
· rinse your conditioner with cold water
(locks in the moisture, makes your hair look smooth, shiny & reduces frizz)
· use a scalp massager 5 minutes
(stimulates & exfoliates the scalp)
· do Aloe Vera hair masks
· use homemade rosemary oil
· microfibre towel - dries your hair x2 faster plus it is so much better than a regular towel! Why? Microfibre treats your hair with care to help prevent frizziness
· add coffee to your shampoo (stimulates and exfoliates the scalp). It’s a great alternative to scalp scrubs
· rice water rinse twice a week
body
The ideal waist to hip ratio backed by science is 0.6. The target 0.6 ratio is ideal and is genetic, so don't blame yourself if your natural physique doesn't fit it. Enhancing it to 0.6 requires hard work & surgery, implants if you're not naturally gifted. 0.6 is ideal and 0.7 is average. It's bone structure / genetic, if you're already slim and don't have 0.6 it's not your fault. You can only get the desired (0.6) by surgery or possibly by extreme diet if you don't have it genetically.
Our bodies as women influences the type of men we attract. You attract and get chased by higher quality, financially well and genetically attractive men. It's because slimness is associated with elegance, higher class and higher social status. It also signals good health and youthfulness and that you respect your body enough to keep it healthy.
Capture body images
Take photos from the front, side, and back angles, along with a face selfie. This step is crucial and can serve as a powerful source of inspiration in the future when you feel demotivated or lose interest.
Measure your weight
I strongly recommend stepping on the scale on day one, the day you genuinely embark on your weight loss journey. This will be another significant step as it helps establish your starting point and, as you make progress, serves as motivation to keep going.
Develop a plan
Whether your plan is to follow a diet (ketogenic diet & intermittent fasting), to get a gym membership or to buy a scale : reflect on your goals and determine what you want to achieve such as how much you want to lose weight. You need to make a plan that you can fully commit to. And get it done.
Portion control
Although what you eat does matter, its about how much of it you eat. You’re going to consume smaller portions of whatever food, but make sure your plate is smaller because it’s all about calorie deficit. Also try to limit snacking as such as you can, because it’s not a little bar that’s going to make you any fuller. For 15 minutes maybe, but at at what cost? Eat proper meals (in smaller plates). But if you really have trouble with restricting yourself to a smaller plate I advise you to eat foods that are voluminous but low in calories. For example one cookie (15g) is small & thin, filled with 150 calories. But on the other hand, 1 kg of lettuce is 150 calories. See the difference? Same calories but different amount.

Could I request Octavinelle with a sea angel mermaid MC?
Oh of course you can!! They’re so pretty!! slight warning for eating and also horrific mouth appendages cause sea angels have some crazy mouths!
Description
you were a beautiful creature of the sea. Known for your small size yet beautiful complexion and small wing-like fins that halo you through the sea. Your skin is a pale, slightly transparent white. With a large orange heart shape on your upper chest. You were only about a foot and a half long from the top of your head to your little tail tip. But you never minded. You were usually left alone as you went about your own business, hunting down sea butterfly’s to eat as you explore the sea.
On land, you are known as an albino. With your red/pink eye color and very pale skin and white hair you were a pale beacon in the dark-themed school. It didn’t help that you were also very short on the surface as well. Only about 4 feet tall. Your human form was very pale except for a seemingly cream/orange skin-colored birthmark on your upper chest, around your collarbone that was in the shape of a large heart. Also, the tips of your toes had a similar color, the white to cream to orange gradient that was similar to your tail. Your wings from your mer form did follow you to this one. With small little skin flaps on your back just over your shoulder blades that wiggle and flap when you feel intense emotion. Luckily many human clothes cover them easily enough.
Octavinelle
Azul: Knew you were a mer when he saw you. It took him a bit to figure out what kind of mer since you were rather secluded, usually going to classes then disappearing somewhere. Would try and get you to work for him since the few times he's seen you, you were rather breathtaking despite your smaller stature and brilliant white skin. You never really needed anything so he was never able to get you under his fingers, he was able to get some leverage since you ordered quite the special food, sea butterflies. It seemed to be the only thing you wanted to eat despite so many other options. After his overblot incident, he was more inclined to chat with you and try to see if there were other meals you could enjoy, maybe still have you work for him since you were very pretty, better pay and benefits and discounts for your, very snail-based meals.
When he first sees your merform he is so jealous and in awe at how pretty you are. Your white skin seems to glow in the lights of the pool you were relaxing in. using your little wings to stay in place in the water. watching in slight amusement at how Azul is frozen staring. He eventually studders out an apology for intruding on you and tries to leave. You stop him and ask if he would like to join you. He would just run away at that point. but if you ever were close to him, like near dating kinda close he might consider it, but he would just see himself as the undersea monster to your angelicness. Poor baby needs a confidence boost. He really likes your mer form and likes your heart-shaped orange spot and your very pretty pink/red eyes.
Jade: Knew what mer you were as soon as he saw you, was very interested in how your deep sea colors turned to albinoism in human form. Knew what your diet was so when you first come to the lounge to eat, he made you escargot since it was the best snail-based dish available. You happily ate them up. Liked watching you eat since your mouth apparently had some specialized orange tongue that helped suck out the snail from the shell before you happily crunch on the shell-like chips etc. Would love to see the mechanisms of your mouth and tried to slip you some mushroom-based dishes to see if you could/would eat them. you spat them out, no matter the size of the pieces. Likes to observe how you wander the campus.
When he first saw you change to your mer form he couldn't help but think of how easily he could crush you with his hands with how small you were compared to his merform. does join you in the water to corner you and ask many questions. does compliment your mer form and told you to meet him at the octavinelle pools the next day. He reveals a large pool that had a few sea butterflies swimming around you got very excited and he chuckled and watched as you slowly made your way after them to happily devour, your mouth being like an eldrich horror from some movies and books on the surface jade liked to indulge in when he wasn't working or hiking. Liked to watch your wings slowly push you through the water toward your prey, might tease you with holding one just out of your reach. Don't worry hell let you have it eventually, your little pouting face is to much fun to miss.
Floyd: immediately knew what you were when he first saw you! You had the vibe of a merfolk and he’s seen a few sea angel mers in his life but they were rather boring in his opinion. Calls you little sea angel. likes to ask about your cool eyes and the mark on your chest. Puking at you and giggle if at how squishy you are since you didn’t have any bones in your mer form. If he ever found out about your little wing flaps he would poke at them constantly to watch them shift under your clothes. He also likes to just pick you up and squeeze you just carrying you around since you’re so short and light too!
when he first saw your mer form he was in awe. You were so pretty and the heart mark on your front along with the wings on your back were so cute and pretty!! He would happily wrap his whole body around your very small one. Careful to not hurt you since you were a bit fragile in this form compared to when on land. He likes to watch you slowly hunt a sea butterfly and laughs when you do catch one. Actually becoming very interested as he watched special tentacles along with your tongue come out of your mouth to entrap and devour the sea butterfly. Likes to make jokes about your orange mouth and the cool tentacles hiding in your cheeks.
with special guest!
malleus: found your pale white complexion interesting. First encountered you when you wandered around the campus late one day. You were happily watching the butterfly’s flit about a small field of wild flowers. You both enjoy the smaller simpler parts of life and share contemplations about the future etc. you both hang out regularly by that field. Many avoid you when they notice you and malleus walking side by side. His frame almost double your height. Yet his looming presence doesn’t bother you whatsoever. Any who try to make fun of your pale skin are in for a nasty curse or the scare of their lives with the giant malleus looming over you to glare at them.
when you first shared your mer form with him and revealed your even smaller form he knelt down with a gentle smile on his pale face. He told you he was honored by the trust you give him. Honestly understood why you’re ere called a sea angel. Your gentle glow in the moonlight and the small heart on your chest needed just one more thing to finish off the angelic symbolism. With a small wave of his hand a small halo appeared over your head and you both shared a small laugh about it. He would call you child of angels. Or sometimes my angel fish.

Life and Death — Aeri Uchinaga x F! R
WARNINGS: Angst, Suicide attempts, Death, Guns, Aeri, Bad writing, wlw, not proof read, bad grammar
Are You Satisfied?
The mirror reflected the image your parents had spent years crafting. Long, silky hair tied in a perfect ponytail, flawless skin glowing under studio lights, and a tailored outfit that screamed elegance. You looked every inch the future idol they wanted you to be—polished, poised, and perfect.
But perfection was exhausting.
“Y/n,” your mother’s voice cut through your thoughts, sharp and impatient. “The trainer said your turns are still too stiff. Practice until they’re flawless. You have to be better than everyone else. The best.”
“Yes, mom" you murmured, your voice devoid of emotion.
Your life had been a series of schedules and rehearsals since the day your parents decided you’d be Korea’s next superstar. Their dream was now your burden. Dance classes, vocal lessons, diets, and the constant reminder that “mistakes are unacceptable” consumed you.
The trainees at the company weren’t any kinder. They whispered behind your back, their resentment obvious. “She’s just here because of her daddy’s money,” one of them sneered. “She’s not a real trainee. She’s a spoiled brat who thinks she’s better than us.”
You didn’t argue. Let them think what they wanted. It was easier that way.
One of the girls, Aeri, was the loudest critic. She was sharp-tongued, fiery, and completely unafraid to say what others only whispered.
“Why is she even here?” she asked one evening after practice. Sweat dripped down her face as she stood, arms crossed, glaring at you. “Does she think she can just use her daddy's money to get somewhere in life?"
Her words stung, but you didn’t let it show. Instead, you flashed the same fake smile you’d perfected over the years.
Aeri rolled her eyes. “Typical.”
You turned and walked away, pretending her words didn’t matter. But later, as you practiced alone in the darkened studio, her voice echoed in your head.
Over time, though, something changed.
It started small—an accidental meeting in the practice room late at night. You had been struggling with a particularly difficult choreography, your feet aching and your patience wearing thin. Aeri had walked in, surprised to see you still there.
“What, the spoiled princess actually works hard?” she teased, but her tone lacked its usual bite.
You ignored her at first, focusing on the mirror and the steps you couldn’t seem to master. But Aeri didn’t leave. Instead, she watched you quietly, her arms crossed.
“You’re doing it wrong,” she finally said, stepping forward. “Here, like this.”
Before you could protest, she demonstrated the move with effortless grace. You hesitated, then mimicked her.
“Better,” she admitted begrudgingly.
That night, she didn’t mock you. For the first time, she saw the cracks in your perfect exterior—the frustration, the exhaustion, the quiet desperation.
And for the first time, you let her see them. You let her see, you.
Aeri started talking to you more after that. At first, it was little things—comments during practice, small tips on choreography. But then the conversations grew longer, deeper. She asked you questions no one else dared to. “Why do you even want to be an idol?”
You froze at the question, unsure how to answer. Did you want this? Or was it just another thing your parents decided for you? “I don’t know,” you admitted softly.
Aeri didn’t judge you. Instead, she nodded. “That’s okay. You’ll figure it out. Im sure*
Her kindness scared you. You weren’t used to it. And worse, you weren’t used to the way she made your heart race.
The more time you spent with Aeri, the harder it became to maintain the perfect facade. She made you laugh, challenged you, and saw through the mask you wore. And slowly, against your will, you started to fall for her.
But falling for her meant admitting something you weren’t ready to face.
Your parents would never accept it. You weren’t allowed to have flaws, to stray from the path they’d set for you. You weren’t allowed to love someone like Aeri.
So, you pulled away.
You ignored her texts, avoided her during practice, and built your walls higher than ever before.
“Y/n? what’s going on?” she confronted you one night, her voice laced with concern. “Nothing,” you lied, forcing a smile. “I’m just busy.”
Aeri didn’t believe you, but she didn’t push.
The pressure became unbearable after that. Your parents’ expectations, the judgment of your peers, the ache in your chest every time you saw Aeri—it was too much.
One night, as you sat in your room surrounded by trophies and certificates, you broke down. Tears streamed down your face as you whispered, “Why can’t I just be enough?”
You thought about the life you’d lived, the endless pursuit of perfection, and the love you were too afraid to embrace. You thought about Aeri’s smile, her laugh, and the way she made you feel like you—not the perfect version of you, but the real one.
But everything just seemed to crush you. You didn’t see a way out.
BANG!
Time of death, 1:07 AM.
Aeri stood in the back of the memorial, her heart heavy with unspoken words. She clutched a small notebook filled with the choreography notes you had scribbled together.
“I wish you’d told me,” she whispered to the cold air. “I would’ve been there for you.”
She stayed until the sky turned dark, the stars shimmering faintly above.
And somewhere, maybe you finally found peace.
Were you satisfied?

❤️❤️
Warning: eating disorder, starvation
Notes: if anyone ever feels like this my messages are always open to anyone <3 please please don't ever try to starve yourself. You will never feel happier, you won't know when to stop. don't do it, it's not worth risking your happiness and freedom.
You would scroll through your socials always looking at others. How their life is more fun and how happy they look but they look better than you, skinnier than you. You like the way you look… well liked the way you look. You can't stand looking at yourself in the mirror anymore. You feel sick everytime. You're not overweight, you're perfectly average but it doest feel like that. You start saying up later watching makeup tutorials on how to do the perfect winged eyeliner or how to make your skin glow, as well as waking up hours earlier just to do your hair and make yourself look over the top. If you don't try enough you stand out but if you try hard you stand out. You keep getting called out on it at school and it's draining you at this point.
Your alarm goes off as you groan slowly, opening your eyes. 5 am… you sigh, grabbing your phone and scrolling through your socials looking at stalking every gorgeous, skinner, better looking girl from your year. Without noticing you realise half an hour has passed. You groan as you get out of your bed making your way to your bathroom and taking a shower before brushing your teeth. You pick out a mediocre outfit. Just some jeans and a hoodie. You can't help but stare at the mirror. Why can't I look like them? What am I doing wrong? You spend around an hour putting on makeup covering up every small thing you viewed as imperfect. You’ve got around 15 minutes left before you leave. You make your way to the kitchen seeing your brothers. Donnie is helping Mikey cook as Leo sleepy looks at the kitchen counter and Raph tries to wake him up.
Mikey perks up hearing your footsteps. You notice this. Am I that heavy to make such loud steps?
“Morning! I’ve made you your favourite! Pancakes with strawberries!” he says with a smile looking proudly at you. Your stomach drops hearing this. You can't eat that. You're supposed to be on a diet. Supposed to try to look better but you keep a smile on your face.
“I'm so sorry Mikey but I'm not really hungry” you say rubbing your arm hoping he would just brush it off. Donnie however looks at you confused and Leo slowly lifts his head up to Raph giving him a look.
“Dear sister, you must eat. How will you pay attention in class?”
“Really, i'm not hungry”
“ok , just make sure you eat some lunch ok?”
“I will Raph, don't worry” you give him a smile before leo looks at you squinting his eyes
“Hermana! Are you wearing makeup?” you freeze a bit. you didn't put a lot.
“Umm ya” leo looking suspiciously at you
“Not trying impress someone are you?” he grins mischievously and Donnie proceeds to fake a gag. Mikey thought he was actually going to puke and pushed him out the kitchen. You laugh.
“What? No! Just… wanting to try something different. Why? Does it look bad?”
“Of course not! If you start wanting to wear it more often you can ask April for some tips. That might be a good idea”
“Ok ya i will. I’ve got to go now or else i'll be late”
“See you later!”
You nod before making your way out the lair with your lunch that mikey had handed to you before you left.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Shit. That's how you would describe your day, absolutely shit. You didn't eat your lunch because some of the girls decided to be asses today.
“Are you sure you want to eat today?”
“You know, if you lose a bit of wight you might be noticed”
You cried to yourself in the bathroom stall at lunch. What did I do? You're walking home and pass by a dumpster. You look at it for a few seconds before taking your lunch out the bag and throwing it in the bin without hesitation. You don't need mikey asking why you haven't eaten. It's not important.
You make your way back to the lair and as you enter you see. No one. They must be out on patrol, you thought. You make your way to your room and you see a note on your door.
Hey sis! Your amazing brothers are out on patrol right now but there is some leftover lunch in the fridge. Help yourself!
You laugh to yourself and ignore it before walking into your room and closing your door. You feel so tired, so drained you just pass out on your bed.
Next day is the same but this time you had a bit of breakfast and counted the calories making sure to burn them after. You had also weighed yourself wondering what's the perfect weight. When you came home that day your brothers were out on patrol again. You sigh seeing the same note on your door but probably by Leo because you don't know how in hell you read that. The handwriting was interesting to say the least. This becomes a routine now until You start to feel dizzy all the time. Maybe just sleep it off. You do your nightly routine and pass out.
The door slowly opens. You whine covering your eyes from the light that seeps into your room.
“Raph?”
“Hey ___”
You just close your eyes and sigh as Raph walks closer to your bed.
“You feeling ok? You’ve been falling asleep earlier than usual. School taking a toll on you?”
You just nod your head not knowing what to say
“Thought so, just rest up and we’ll make a good breakfast for you” your eyes shoot open at these words. Your stomach cramps up as you cry
“____! You ok?”
You run to the bathroom as Raph calls for donnie. You crouch over the toilet before throwing up. Your vision is blurry before looking up to see Donnie and Leo. your purple brother visibly cringes at the sight as Leo runs up next to you holding your hair up. You cry as you look up to see Mikey and Raph enter with worried eyes on you. Leo helps you up before Mikey helps you wash your face at the sink.
“What's wrong with her? Does she have food poisoning?” Mikey looks at his brothers as if he was about to cry
“No, she only vomited bile, her stomach is empty, it's not food poisoning” Leo said. You grip onto Mikey finding it hard to stand up by yourself.
“____? It's ok” Raph rubbed your back trying to calm you down.
“Only bile? ___ when was the last time you ate?” you freeze looking up at Donnie
“Answer! When was the last time you ate a full meal? A proper meal?” you burst into tears again
“I dont know!” you shout making mikey and leo flinch
‘I dont know…I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I didnt think” you breath hitches as it speeds up. Your brother sighs as he crouches in front of you
“Breathe” you take a deep breath slowly calming down. Your brothers look at each other
“Raph will take you back to bed”
“I’ll get you some water”
Raph carries you back to bed as Leo comes back with a glass of water in his hand. He gives it to you as you accept it with shaking hands. You don't like this, you don't like the way they stare at you. You feel so helpless and so lost.
“____… what happened?” mikey starts
“I don't know..”
“Why haven't you eaten?”
“I…i don't know!”
“____.. Answer”
“I don't know! I just feel like shit! I hate the way I look, the way I talk, the way I act, the way I walk. I hate this body! I wanna be better, look better, look prettier! I don't know”
“W-what?” Mikey looks up at you with glossy eyes as you glance back at him with your own
“Hermana..you are absolutely perfect the way you are, ok?”
“Exactly, you don't need to change the way you are. We think you're perfect!”
“Ok but others Dont!”
“Stop thinking about what others think. And starving yourself isn't the right way to go about this! You can die!”
You don't know what to say, you just look at them helplessly.
“You can't keep doing this.”
“You need to get better. Promise us you’ll get better”
You hesitate you’ve grown to kind of like the feeling of being hungry now you crave it
“I…i”
“We will help you ok?”
“O-ok”
“We will help you get better, feel better about yourself”
Before you know it your surrounded by your favourite people in the world hugging you tightly scared to let you go as if you’ll break

How to Glow Up for School
Got an ask for tips to glow up, thought I'd make a separate post for it too.
⭐Workout⭐:
There's no rule that the gym is the only place to workout.
Youtube videos: There are tons and tons of great workout videos from people with a large following. My favourites are Caroline Girvan, growingannanas, Pamela Reif and Madfit. Go get sweaty!
Makeshift weights: You can water bottles filled with water/sand as weights or buy ankle weights to put around your wrists as you get stronger.
Run: This is an amazing source of cardio. I gave up a while back on this because I detest running, but it really does work. Plug in your headphones and go for a run in nature.
Dance: Dancing is a really fun way to workout. Try Zumba, hip-hop or K-pop routines. Hell, even Just Dance has some good ones. Join a class if you want to stay accountable.
Let me know if you want me to drop my workout routine too
⭐Diet⭐:
Honestly, I can't give much advice here, because I'm not qualified enough. Go to a nutritionist to see if there's anything you can do. If not, eat plenty of protein and fibre, limit your junk food intake and drink lots of water. Make lots of salads and fruit bowls. Overnight oats are healthy, filling and delicious.
What I like to do, is eat everything in moderation. Say I've had a healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner. I won't deny myself a nice bowl of ice cream (again, not a sundae, the key is moderation). But if I've had greasy food for lunch and takeout for dinner, I'll probably settle for fruit instead. Know that you can eat without punishing yourself, but remember not to go overboard. Food is fuel, remember.
⭐Other tips⭐:
Skincare: Don't make it too fancy. I know influencers and the like have those weird 15-step skincare routines, but it isn't necessary. I use the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser and the most basic Cetaphil face lotion I could find along with an organic lip balm my mom buys. It works like a charm and its not too fancy. I also take an ABC smoothie (Apple, Beetroot, Carrot + some water.) This is such a game-changer.
Abundance mindset: I like to think of the universe constantly working in my favour. It's always looking out for me, and I'm the luckiest girl in the world. What you think is what you attract. If you think negatively, you will begin to see only bad things around you. Stay positive.
Wardrobe: Go thrifting, or DIY some old clothes. Pinterest has tons of amazing ideas. Paint your T-shirts, dye your skirts, make cute jewellery at home. There are no limits.
Makeup: I don't recommend it honestly. I'm more or less anti makeup to the point where I only own two pieces of makeup(eyeliner and lip gloss) and even those are used sparingly. Don't get used to your painted face. Your natural beauty is beautiful; and should not be hidden. There's something so amazing in someone who is confident in their own skin. Own yourself, and people will love you more for it.
Hope this helps you become the best version of yourself. Baby steps to your goal, okay? This takes time and with consistency, you WILL get there. Stay lovely. xoxo

How to Achieve Timeless Beauty: 9 Expert Anti-Aging Tips for Youthful Skin!
Ah, the quest for eternal youth! Who wouldn't want to defy the hands of time and keep that youthful glow? Here are nine anti-aging tips that might just help you do that:
Stay Hydrated: Water is your skin's best friend. It keeps your skin hydrated, plump, and helps maintain its elasticity. So, bottoms up!
Protect Yourself from the Sun: Sunscreen is your shield against aging. UV rays can be harsh on the skin, causing premature aging and wrinkles. Slather on that sunscreen, and your future self will thank you.
Eat a Balanced Diet: You are what you eat, and your skin reflects that. Load up on fruits, vegetables, and foods rich in antioxidants. They help combat free radicals and keep your skin looking fresh.
Get Your Beauty Sleep: They don't call it beauty sleep for nothing! Your skin rejuvenates and repairs itself during the night, so make sure to catch those Z's for a radiant complexion.
Say No to Smoking: Smoking is not only bad for your lungs but is also a fast track to wrinkles. It accelerates the aging process, leaving you with fine lines and dull skin. Kick the habit for a youthful glow.
Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize: Dry skin is more prone to wrinkles, so keep it moisturized. Choose a good quality moisturizer that suits your skin type and make it a daily ritual.
Exercise Regularly: Exercise not only keeps your body fit but also boosts circulation, delivering more oxygen and nutrients to your skin. That post-workout glow is not just a myth!
Limit Alcohol Intake: While the occasional glass of wine won't hurt, excessive alcohol can dehydrate your skin and lead to premature aging. So, sip wisely.
Stay Stress-Free: Easier said than done, I know. But stress can wreak havoc on your skin. Practice relaxation techniques, take breaks, and find time for activities that bring you joy.
Remember, it's not about fighting age but embracing it gracefully. These tips are just ways to keep your skin healthy and happy as the years go by. Cheers to aging like fine wine! 🍷

simple skincare tips!
🌼eat the foods that love you back. your skin is a direct mirror of your internal situation. if your digestive system is being bombarded often by foods that create a lot of wastes and residues, that does more harm than good. and so, the struggle to eliminate them will be reflected in your skin. your diet constitutes the vast majority of your skin health. change your meals to be whole food plant based (still delicious, satisfying, and exciting) & watch your skin glow and your skincare routine simplify.
🌼be conscious of what's going on your skin. the skin layers can be over-cleansed, imbalanced, and aggravated when the skin microbiome and pH are disrupted. if you wipe out the beneficial bacterial populations with harshly formulated products, you may find that you break out (i.e. harmful bacterial populations begin to thrive). use gentle, simple skin formulas such as castile soaps, natural oils & butters (i recommend jojoba oil for mostly everyone), natural soap bars, and clays. most commercial skin care products disturb the skin cells (introduce too much foreign material to the body, unsuitable pH ranges, imbalance the microbiome, etc). they sell because it's convention to buy them, the brands are well-known, and their sales pitches are enticing. but really, no cream or serum will ever be the magic potion your skin was asking for. it will only be a band-aid, at best. truly healthy skin comes from diet, and the products are just for any other necessary maintenance. if you get a pimple, you should look first to why the pimple emerged, not what treatment will remove it.
🌼keep your lymph flowing. simple ways to do this are through good lifestyle habits. things like doing exercise & sports you find fun, breathwork, dry brushing, eating lots of fruit, avoiding wearing bras & other tight clothing items, lymphatic massage/gua sha can all be helpful.
🌼focus on hydration via fresh fruits and veggies. the water within plant foods is more useable to your cells, and your skin will cease being overly oily or dry overtime (especially if you reduce/eliminate your salt & oil intake). it will also help to encourage lymphatic flow, so you can see problems like blemishes, cellulite, old scars diminish after great consistency.
🌼allow your skin to breathe. this is especially good if you spend time in stuffy (poorly ventilated) indoor environments, like offices, hospitals, planes, etc. one great way is via herbal facial steaming (i recommend it 3x a week or so). make a hot infusion of an aromatic tea, cover it and allow it to cool a few minutes, and, with closed eyes, allow the pores to open and receive the herbal medicine (this is a great time to meditate, manifest, and just feel pampered). getting more fresh air, working up a sweat, and going to a sauna are also ways to allow your skin to breathe.
🌼avoid steroid prescriptions creams at all costs. they are very deleterious to health in the long term, and they can be very painful to come off of. it's not a real fix. it's not worth hurting your kidneys & adrenals for. evaluate your diet instead. do you eat dairy? choose plant-based dairy options instead (they're simple to make yourself too). do you eat a lot of fats? try oil-free cooking methods instead (opt for sautéing with a bit of water, baking, steaming, air frying, etc). avoiding eating out as much.
🌼be aware of what you're putting in your hair as well. your shampoos, conditioner, leave-ins, gels, moisturizers, oils, serums, etc all tend to touch your face too, when your hair touches your face. if they wouldn't be good enough to put on your face, don't put them in your hair. a lot of the best skin cleansers are also suitable as shampoos. a lot of oils and butters can be used for both. plant-based gels like aloe vera or flax seed are simple to DIY, and are dual-use once again. basically, this will simplify your life.
🌼understand the water that runs through your pipes. if your shower and tap water are like most people's around the world, they aren't optimal for our skin. for example, they contain added chemicals to sanitize the water but that can prevent the proper microbiomes from developing on your skin. a weak skin microbiome is prone to skin issues. so, try to use distilled water on your face (if you're not able to get a water filter, a gallon jug at a store is affordable. they're about $1.30 USD in my area).
