(Pt. 1) Cleansers 🧖‍♀️🫧

In this skincare series im going to teach you how to achieve the perfect routine. Today’s topic is cleansers, what each one does and which ones is best for your skin type.

The key to the perfect skincare routine is a clean face. Its important to properly cleanse your face from dirt, makeup, and/or products thats been sitting on your face all day.

Types Of Cleansers:

•Gel cleanser

•Cleansing balms

•Foaming cleanser

•Exfoliating cleanser

GEL CLEANSERS: These cleansers are water based and have a slippery, jelly-like texture. They are very gentle and won't strip your skin of its natural oils. This cleanser is ideal for people with oily or acne-prone skin.

Tips: Use after a cleansing balm or oil for a second cleanse. it'll remove any oil residue on the skin.

CLEANSING BALM/MAKEUP REMOVER: Any products labeled “remover” are usually oil-based cleansers that melt away makeup. If you wear makeup I highly recommend you invest in some type of makeup remover to use before you cleanse your face. It’s important to double cleanse to get all your makeup off. This is also great for all skin types.

Tips: NEVER SLEEP WITH MAKEUP ON. If you find yourself to tired to wash your face, a cleansing balm will take off most of your makeup so you don’t have to worry about any breakouts the next day or makeup on your favorite pillow.

FOAMING CLEANSER: It’s important that you use a basic foaming cleanser everyday that is fragrance free ! This is a water-based cleanser. It makes for a deep cleanse that thoroughly cleans pores. This is ideal for all skin types

Tips: Use 1-2 pumps. rub face in circular motions for 30 seconds to 1 minute. I recommend using a wash cloth or any type of facial sponge thats soft on the skin. DONT BE ROUGH. Remember to be gentle your skin will thank you!

EXFOLIATING CLEANSER: this is a water-based cleanser with exfoliating beads. Adding an exfoliant to your routine is beneficial because its beads are designed to remove dead skin, rough texture, blackheads, and whiteheads. Using one properly will leave your skin baby smooth and reduce hyperpigmentation from scarring. Those with dry, sensitive or acne-prone skin look for a lighter exfoliant while those with oily, thicker skin may want to use something stronger.

Tips: DONT USE EVERYDAY. Only use 1x per week after foaming cleanser.
