Tai Chi for Beginners - 5 Best Easy Steps
Tai chi is an ancient Chinese practice that focuses on slow, deliberate movements and deep breathing to enhance physical and mental well-being. It’s closely related to qi gung or qi gong, a practice that emphasizes cultivating and balancing life energy (qi) through movement, breathing, and meditation. If you’re new to the practice, here are five easy steps to help you get started with tai chi for beginners and enjoy the tai chi health benefits that come with it.
Step 1: Start with the Basics of Breathing and Posture
Before jumping into movements, the first step in tai chi for beginners is to master your breathing and posture. Stand tall, with your feet shoulder-width apart and knees slightly bent. Focus on slow, deep breathing, inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth. Proper breathing and posture are crucial for achieving balance and calmness, which are core principles of tai chi.
Step 2: Learn Basic Stances
The foundation of tai chi lies in its various stances, which promote balance and stability. Two of the most common are the horse stance and the bow stance. The horse stance involves standing with your feet wide apart and knees bent, while the bow stance is a forward-facing position with one leg forward and the other back, knees slightly bent. Practicing these stances builds leg strength and improves body awareness.
Step 3: Practice Slow, Controlled Movements
Tai chi is all about slow, flowing movements. Start with simple sequences like "cloud hands," where you slowly move your hands in a circular, wave-like motion while shifting your weight from one foot to the other. These movements help increase flexibility and coordination, two key aspects of tai chi health benefits.
Step 4: Incorporate Qi Gung (Qi Gong)
As you progress, integrate qi gung exercises into your routine. Qi gung focuses on cultivating energy and synchronizing breath with movement, which is essential in enhancing the mind-body connection. It complements tai chi by deepening relaxation and helping you harness your internal energy (qi).
Step 5: Commit to Regular Practice
Consistency is key in tai chi for beginners. Start with 10 to 15 minutes of daily practice, gradually increasing your time as you become more comfortable with the movements. Regular practice leads to long-term tai chi health benefits like improved balance, reduced stress, and enhanced flexibility.
Incorporating these five steps will help you get started on your tai chi journey, unlocking the physical and mental benefits that come with regular practice.

Experience the Zen of Tai Chi Massage
Tai chi massage is a rejuvenating therapy that mixes tai chi, an ancient Chinese martial art, with massage methods. It emphasizes balance, harmony, and the movement of energy throughout the body. The discipline began in ancient China as a supplement to tai chi, based on the notion that energy travels through channels known as meridians. Tai chi massage involves slow and purposeful movements that promote relaxation and flexibility. Pressure is administered to particular areas of the body to relieve energy blockages and create deep relaxation. There are various health benefits to receiving a Tai Chi massage. It reduces tension, increases flexibility, boosts circulation, and promotes balance and coordination. The massage's steady movements and mild pressure help to relax the mind, reduce worry, and achieve inner serenity. Stretching practices improve flexibility and range of motion, while increased circulation promotes overall health and well-being. The activity also improves balance and coordination, which reduces the likelihood of falls and accidents. Tai chi massage not only benefits the body but also the mind and emotions. Slow movements and deep relaxation improve brain clarity, reduce mental fatigue, and relieve symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress-related illnesses. Tai chi massages come in a variety of techniques and styles, including tai chi acupressure, tai chi tui na, and tai chi qigong.

CO2 Skills: Custom Skill Tokens
Published: 7-17-2024 | Updated: N/A SUMMARY I use mods to make more diverse sims in terms of personality traits, body types, and lifetime wants. They’ve made my sims more complex and interesting to play overall. Still, the skill-building system feels limited alongside these mods. Being a decent pianist shouldn’t automatically make it easier to paint, spy, DJ, garden, become a career slacker, work as an architect, and play every other instrument in-game. Being clean certainly benefits barbers and pet owners, but shouldn’t they also be good at cutting hair and animal care? By default, sims can develop at least 40 skills - 4 toddler skills, 7 basic skills, 4 hidden skills, 6 life skills (AL/FT), and 11 talent badges (OFB). This custom skills pack builds directly on the existing skill-hobby system in Sims 2 in the following ways:
60+ new skills taken from other games in the simsverse (Sims 3, Sims 4, console titles, etc.)
100+ new skills related to university majors, career tracks, and popular mods from the simsverse
New skills are linked to certain objects, interactions, and career levels
All TS2 content creators are welcome to link these skills to your creations if they choose BUT this is meant to be non-intrusive. These will be linked to some of my custom careers, majors, and objects.
DETAILS Basegame Compatible – but skill-related objects and mods may require expansions. * These are skill TOKENS ONLY - custom objects, mods, majors and career tracks which use these skills will be published on this site under the #co2skills, #co2careers, and/or #co2edu tags. Modders, feel free to implement these and if you do – please share!
GENERAL INFO
Skills are invisible tokens activated by certain interactions in-game.
Sims can’t develop the same skill twice and they can’t sell or gift them to others.
Skills do not appear in inventories or the UI.
Some repetitive and animal-specific skills were excluded.
An index of all skills and their GUIDS is included with this download. If you have custom skills to add to the list, please ask/message me.
A “SKILL TREE” FOR SIMS 2 Where do these custom skills fit in gameplay? Imagine a system with three levels of expertise… LEVEL 1 = basegame skills (body, charisma, cleaning, cooking, creativity, logic, and mechanical). ^^This level already exists in the basegame and everything starts here. You need 2 or more basic skill points before you can advance. LEVEL 2 = some custom skills, life skills (AL/FT), talent badges (OFB), supernatural/magic (AL) ^^This level exists if you play with expansions. I’ve added a few new skills here related to existing supernatural and woohoo gameplay. LEVEL 3 and up = remaining custom skills and university major skills
^^The bulk of new skills come into play here and help make sims’ hobbies, careers, and lifestyle choices make more sense.
Unlock level 3 skills by earning 2-3 points in a level 1 or level 2 skill, a talent badge, and/or attending university.
Use the skill trees below for reference. Skills are grouped by their basegame skill/hobby affiliation, but some (ballet for example) may appear in multiple categories.
You do NOT need to earn all skills/badges at one level to unlock the next. The point of this project is that your sims can finally specialize in activities and professions related to their true personality.
BODY Body skill is already linked to tai chi and the restocking badge, but the skill is named differently across games (athleticism, fitness, health/sanity, etc.). Unlock new ways to develop a sim’s physical and mental strength.
CHARISMA Charisma links to the sales badge while range of hobby-related interests fall under film and literature. Branch off and concentrate on related skill areas.
CLEANING The cleaning skill is linked to three badges (cosmetology, gardening, and fishing) and enthusiasm for animals and the environment. Specialize in ways which better reflect their lifestyle.
COOKING Venture into new worlds of taste and make magic in the kitchen! This may be especially useful for those who want more challenging gameplay in terms of food-related careers, businesses, and custom food mods.
CREATIVITY & DANCE By default, creativity makes earning badges in flower arranging, pottery, and sewing easier. It also relates to the hidden drafting/dance skills.
…because a sim who hates art should be able to become a master pianist without magically becoming a master painter too.
LOGIC & UNIVERSITY Logic contributes to the register/cashiering badge and the hidden study/homework skill. Now, sims can pursue new schools of knowledge. Certain majors will now require students to learn theory and technical skills in their areas of study.
MECHANICAL Mechanical sims can more easily earn a robotics badge and now, they can also unlock a host of new mechanical/tech-related pursuits.
SUPERNATURAL Sims with supernatural abilities can enhance their craft by building a range of new skills.
OTHER Some of the new skills require TWO (2) or more types of basic skill points. Herbalism, for example, requires both cooking and gardening skill.
DOWNLOAD (choose one) SKILL TOKENS from SFS | from MEGA

DAY 6005
Jalsa, Mumbai July 27, 2024/July 28 Sat/Sun 2:37 am
.. the body moves .. not quite as before .. but moves .. movements are an integral part of our living .. we are brought here in this Universe to move .. move out move above move about and around , but move ..
I sought the pt's of movement for us likes and are given the directions that pertain to the fact of how movement is the crucible of necessity ..
"For an 82-year-old male, maintaining movement is crucial for overall health and well-being. Gentle activities like walking, swimming, or tai chi can help enhance mobility, strength, and balance. Stretching exercises improve flexibility, reducing the risk of injury. Light resistance training can preserve muscle mass and bone density. It's essential to include regular breaks and avoid overexertion. Social activities like dancing or group exercises provide both physical and mental benefits. Consulting with a healthcare professional before starting any new exercise regimen is important to ensure safety and to tailor the activities to the individual's health status and physical capabilities."
.. and so I move ..
but enough of the 'i' .. it's time to bring in the 'they' .. 'they' are the necessity of the movement living .. for the simple reason that what 'they' induce you with , becomes the movement legacy .. 'they' may never feel so , but the fact is just that .. MOVE ..
blessed are we that are the face of public appearance .. and the 'they' comes in with immense intensity to justify our beliefs and aforementioned detail ..
when 'they' burst we explode .. when 'they' explode we hold on to their tails and travel where 'they' do or go .. 'they' go to destinations known to them but 'they' carry our destinations as well .. without them we have no destination .. our final peak is theirs .. and that is how we be ..
In a few hours from now .. well .. quite a few hours from now at the GOJ .. there shall be meets and greets and shares and givings and reciprocation .. that is life , reciprocation .. get one give two ..
and the interpretation be theirs as well .. we learn from them .. 'they' are the spirit that educates .. 'they' teach professionally .. we follow in the lead given ..
the mention of the 95% and 98% is ever adorned with great appreciation .. but 'they' teach us that there are those that achieve from the 50% to the 60% also..
are their achievements any less ..
they deserve the lead as well , to swell the encouragement to keep the growth ..
and growth is movement ..
SO ..
MOVE ..
MY LOVE CARE and my affection for them that strain .. strain to move forward .. a step or two may be and NOT a gallop .. but a step all the same ..
'take the strain .... HEAVE ' !!!!

Holistic tips to support brain health
Incorporate herbal teas
Drink herbal teas known for their cognitive benefits. For instance, ginkgo biloba may improve memory and cognitive function, while rosemary and sage are believed to enhance concentration. Enjoy these teas as part of your daily routine.
Practice forest bathing
Spend time in nature by practicing “forest bathing” or shinrin-yoku. Immersing yourself in natural surroundings can reduce stress, improve mood, and boost cognitive function. Aim for a walk in a forest or park to experience its calming effects.
Engage in mindful breathing
Incorporate mindful breathing exercises into your daily routine. Deep, controlled breaths can increase oxygen flow to the brain, reduce stress, and enhance mental clarity. Try techniques such as diaphragmatic breathing or alternate nostril breathing.
Eat brain-boosting superfoods
Incorporate superfoods that naturally support brain health into your diet. Examples include:
Avocados: Rich in healthy fats and antioxidants.
Chia Seeds: Packed with omega-3 fatty acids.
Beets: Known to improve blood flow to the brain.
Grow your own herbs
Cultivate herbs like basil, mint, and lemon balm in your garden or kitchen. These herbs not only add flavor to your meals but also offer cognitive benefits and stress-relief properties.
Practice Tai Chi or Qigong
These ancient Chinese practices combine gentle movement, meditation, and deep breathing. Both Tai Chi and Qigong promote relaxation, balance, and mental focus, making them excellent for brain health.
Incorporate fermented foods
Include fermented foods like kimchi, sauerkraut, and kefir in your diet. These foods support gut health, which is increasingly recognized for its connection to brain health and mood regulation.

Moving Meditation Motivations Discovering the Right Focus Technique
There are some people who can sit through meditation while other individuals simply cannot. During a passive meditation they find themselves fidgeting and unable to focus. This leads to further frustrations, and an unwillingness to try any sort of meditation again.
The advice most people hear is to try again or that they were not doing it right. Well, guess what? There are other ways to possibly reach a meditative state of mind when your body is in motion. Moving meditation, if done accurately can give a person the same benefits as passive meditation where one sits.
How to Choose Your Activity
It should be something that engages you and holds your focus for an extended period roughly anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes a day. To gain a better meditative state one must do something that is continuous, fluid, methodical, and repetitive so that the movements become more automatic in time.
For example, a walk in the park at a steady pace putting your attention on your breath, and taking in the sights that surround you such as:
how the sun feels on your skin
the clouds overhead
if there is a wind breeze
examining the trees and their own leaves
It's all about the state of mind you're able to achieve being one of mindfulness, of living in the moment, of relaxed awareness.
Other Suggestions
Walk a Labyrinth: One walks clockwise in a circle or in a particular pattern towards the center of a destination point. It should not be like a maze where you find yourself frustrated towards the end, but choosing a pattern that fits you and your needs.
Qigong: This is a 5,000-year-old Chinese health exercise technique. Its goal is to synchronize the breath with the mind's intentions. One moves with flow and grace as they further learn this skill. A regular practice can lower your blood pressure and boost your immunity, flexibility, and circulation.
Example:
1. Relax your body, imagining that your feet are sinking deep into the earth. Your hands are in front of your lower belly, palms facing each other, forming a ball of energy.
2. Inhale. Open your arms to the sides as if to expand the ball, while raising your arms, to shoulder height.
3. At shoulder level, turn the thumbs back and the palms up and exhale, releasing any tension from your body as you drop and relax your shoulders, elbows, and hands.
4. Inhale, as you raise your arms up over your head.
5. Palms facing down, deeply exhale as you lower them, “showering” the body with cleansing, revitalizing energy. Repeat three times.
Yoga Exercises: There are several different methods of yoga, some having religious dogma attached while others focus primarily on the exercises themselves. Everyone has different preferences, but if you are looking to simply relax and reach a meditative state then I suggest trying out the exercises themselves. This is a practice to connect the body and mind into one.
Tai Chi: Short for Tai ji quan, or T'ai chi ch'üan, is an internal Chinese martial art practiced for both its defense training, its health benefits and meditation. The term Taiji refers to a philosophy of the forces of yin and yang.
Karate Katas: A practice of detailed patterns of movements either solo or in pairs. Karate kata are executed as a specified series of a variety of moves, with stepping and turning, while attempting to maintain perfect form.
Art: painting, drawing, etc.
Crafts: knitting, crocheting, paper folding, weaving, anything rhythmic.
Exercise: stationary bike, weightlifting, elliptical machine, step climbing, sports, etc.
Playing a game that has a repeating theme and is not too difficult that one can get into.
Music: focusing on the song's rhythm, beats, and possibly lyrics. Pick something that reached out to you as an individual.

Secret Book: Tai Chi Ball Dragon Walk Thirteen Styles
The 13 dragon-shaped Tai Chi ball movements were introduced by Wudang Taoist priests, and are a combination of the essence of Tai Chi theory and basic stances. Tai Chi is a combination of the inner family's Hunyuan Qigong, with the movement of Qi as the inner five forms and the movement of form as the outer five forms, forming the opening and closing of the Yin and Yang Qi. It is also a method of seeking tranquility in motion, and one must calm the mind and enter tranquility everywhere. Therefore, a round ball is used for rotation, and one must concentrate on the surface of the ball. When practicing Tai Chi ball, the mind follows the Qi, the Qi follows the strength, the essence follows the Qi, and the Qi follows the spirit. Then, dynamic Qi is sought from the stillness, achieving the combination of movement and stillness, the combination of Yin and Yang, the combination of water and fire, the effect of smoothing the Qi and strengthening the heart, relaxing the Qi and blood, and benefiting the kidneys and replenishing the blood. It is indeed a health care method for prolonging life.
Gradually experience it in practice. Holding the ball for exercise is like the ball attracting the body to the ball. There are sliding force, centrifugal force and other forces. The person moves with the ball, stretching and generous, often feeling refreshed, and having the beauty of sweating and moistening the body. The thirteen forms of Tai Chi ball dragon form are short and powerful, easy to learn and practice. Fast or slow, high or low, upper, middle or lower, all three are OK. Single form is the pile method, and continuous form is the walking method. Do not lose or top, do not reach or leave. It is derived from the twelve zodiac signs of animals in the distant past, and is applied to the seven meridians, eight channels, five elements, and four tips in the near future. It is not only the round movement of Tai Chi, but also has the eight methods of Baguazhang and the five forms of Xingyiquan.
The old, middle-aged, young, and infants can all exercise with Tai Chi balls. It can be adapted to the individual and the location, and can even be exercised on a round tabletop. When exercising, you can initially use a mud ball, a leather ball, a wooden ball, a hydrangea (pompom), or a basketball or a football. It is best to use a ball made of agarwood, because agarwood can draw qi into the Dantian. When people exercise, agarwood can enter the lungs through the nose, which is very beneficial. The size of the ball is best based on the width of the person's chest. The diameter of the ball is generally about 30 cm.
Practice
The first posture: holding the moon in your arms
This is the Wuji Yangxin Posture. The body squats down to the horse-grip posture, the ball rotates left and right in the arms a few times, and then walks (Figure 1-2).
Second Style: Push the Window to Look at the Moon
This is a method to strengthen the kidney and waist. Hold the ball with the right hand, and change to the left hand in the Chinese style. (Figure 3-5).
The third move: White Crane Spreads Wings
It is a method of relaxing muscles and replenishing qi. From the second posture, the left hand holds the ball, and the right hand holds the ball. The middle posture is the left hand holding the ball (Figure 6-9).
The fourth style: the moon is supported by all the stars
It is the method of the mutual generation of the five elements. The next three steps are as follows (Figures 10-13).
The fifth posture, Left and Right Offering Moon, is to control the waist and let the strength reach the spine. The following three postures of Offering Moon are followed (Figures 14-17).
The sixth posture, Sunrise Kuncang, is based on the twelve central nervous systems, followed by the three postures of lifting the ball (Figures 18-21).
The seventh style, the prodigal son kicking the ball, is mainly based on moving the hips, the toes and the heels. The following four kicking postures are connected (Figures 22-26).
The eighth posture, Reaching the Moon from the Bottom of the Sea (right), is mainly based on the strength of the shoulders, elbows, and wrists. After the middle posture, continue with the Reaching the Moon posture (left) (Figures 27-29).
The ninth posture, Two Dragons Playing with a Pearl, is mainly to train the head, hands, and feet. From the middle posture to the falling posture (Figures 30-32).
The tenth posture, Chasing the Monkey Upside Down, is mainly to promote diuresis in the small intestine. The first posture is the middle rotation posture, the second posture is the fall posture (Figures 33-35).
The eleventh posture, Five Dragons Twisting the Sea, is based on the dragon form, focusing on the unity of the five internal and external forms. The following four postures are followed (Figures 36-40).
The twelfth posture, the Deer-crouching Horse Stance, is mainly to mobilize the waist, legs and joints of the whole body. The following three postures are followed (Figures 41-44).
The thirteenth posture, Dead Tree Roots, focuses on moving the lower body and waist. It is similar to serpentine movement. The three postures of lower body connection (Figures 45-48).
If you restore the posture, you can return to hug the moon in your arms. You can also restore the posture freely.
Action march diagram
The first posture "Holding the Moon in the Arms" moves forward as a straight line. The second posture "Opening the Window to Look at the Moon" moves forward as a left-right dividing line.
The third move "White Crane Spreads Wings" also has left and right lines.
The fourth posture, "Stars Holding the Moon", is to turn from the four directions, and then from the cross holding the moon to the midpoint (see Figure ④).
The fifth style "Left and Right Offering the Moon" is divided into left and right lines.
The sixth form "Sunrise over Kunlun" is to lift the ball from the center to all directions, which is the center dividing line (see Figure ⑥).
The seventh form of "Prodigal Son Kick" consists of five postures in horizontal and vertical lines, and the ball is kicked in five directions.
The eighth style, “Fishing for the Moon in the Bottom of the Sea”, is a long horizontal line.
The ninth move, "Two Dragons Playing with a Pearl", involves sucking the ball from left and right to the center opposite side (see Figure 9).
The tenth move, “Chasing the Monkey Backwards”, involves turning from the back and moving horizontally in a long line.
The eleventh posture, “Five Dragons Twisting the Sea”, is to twist the sea using the Bagua rotation method from a circular circle (see Figure 1).
The twelfth posture of "Deer Crouching Horse Stance" is performed with the Seven Star Stance (see Figure 2).
The thirteenth move, “Dead Tree with Roots”, is performed in the shape of a dragon (actually a snake-walking move) (see Figure 13).

how mars in capricorn will affect us: 📝
mars has just moved into the ambitious, intelligent sign of capricorn !! because of it's determined and goal-driven nature, mars finds his exaltation in capricorn; the sign tempers his insatiable passion and channels his zeal into useful results.
the exaltation of a planet is the sign where a planet functions efficiently and faces little struggle. in capricorn, mars deals with few distractions and can patiently endure delays on the journey to achieving what he wants
mars will impact you differently based off the house(s) it transits while moving through capricorn. read more below !!
MARS IN CAPRICORN THROUGHOUT THE HOUSES:
mars in the 1H: this can be a healing and clarifying time for people struggling with their identity or feeling lost in their sense of self. perhaps if you're looking for more direction, a clearer sense of purpose, or even just a sign that you're on the right path, mars in capricorn will provide it to you !! tune into your inner wisdom and focus on yourself first
mars in the 2H: this is a wonderful time to develop more financial freedom through saving your money and investing in things that grow over time. but there can also be frustration with managing too many new investments. try learning more about big financial commitments before putting too much on your plate at one time
mars in the 3H: you'll find that mars' energy in your 3H can make you much more opinionated and ready to share your thoughts about things. while wisened by experience, mars in capricorn can be inflexible with its perspective. try not to be so readily defensive about your ideas and allow people to have their own viewpoints on things. make an effort to learn from your elders right now as well
mars in the 4H: during this transit, try having a more minimalistic attitude when it comes to your home decor. generally speaking, a planet in capricorn moving into your 4H is great for slimming down on unnecessary domestic possessions. aside from that, carve out some time to organize your living space and figure out your 'priority items'
mars in the 5H: mars moving throughout the 5H always lives up one's sex life, but in capricorn, you may find yourself deepening your relationships with people you have sexual encounters with !! this may be less of a hookup time for you and more of an emotional friends with benefits time !! this is also a helpful transit for detaching yourself from old, limiting traditions and creating new, exciting ones
mars in the 6H: with mars rejoicing in the 6H, it tends to be a lot easier to get along with business partners and authority figures at your workplace. in the house of health and everyday rituals, it'll be important to develop a more solid daily routine that benefits your wellbeing. try out a new low-impact exercise if you can, such as tai chi, yoga, jogging, or swimming !!
mars in the 7H: this a great time for resolving conflict in your intimate relationships. with capricorn as the sign of maturity, mars' movement here will help you handle disagreement patiently and productively. this ingress can also help people become less sensitive to public opinion and more self-reliant !!
mars in the 8H: this is perfect for absolving debt and effectively managing important monetary contracts. inheritance and loan disputes will be easily handled, as well as any confusion surrounding joint bank accounts, taxes, interest rates, and payment plans. this will also be a good time to broaden your understanding of the occult and new ritual practices !!
mars in the 9H: those in collegiate environments will have a much better time completing schoolwork, meeting deadlines, and handling academic pressure. this can be a fulfilling period of cultural exploration and travel. but with mars (frustration) in the 9H, you may have to prepare yourself for some annoyances on your vacations
mars in the 10H: an excellent transit for career building and elevating your professional impact. mars represents business management and competitive work. so while exalted, this can bring you more entrepreneurial opportunities and better status in a saturated business market !! this can also be a fun period of learning more about history, engineering, or athletics !!
mars in the 11H: this is a prosperous time for making business connections with people in your social circles !! working collaboratively with your friends will be highly rewarding, and the fruits of your labor will be long-lasting (♑︎). right now it's good to observe your friends and see which ones are truly protective of you vs. the ones that say they care and won't act on it
mars in the 12H: understanding your dreams is usually much easier during this transit, but mars here can make your dreams more violent or aggressive — try to express your anger in your waking life so it doesn't end up in your dreams when you're trying to rest !! if you've been having any off feelings about someone, mars in capricorn (reality) will confirm these suspicions clearly
book a reading !!

Aries: reminding yourself to take a deep breath, do some breathing exercises/meditation, set up an ancestor altar or pray at your altar, explore your family tree, connect to your ancestors in a way that feels right for you (wear a keepsake, do an activity your loved ones liked to do, ask your loved ones to be with you in spirit).
Leo: make a meal from scratch or that has more healthy elements in it, get your hair done specially or just for a new cut, spend time on your own doing make-up, moisturising, taking care of your skin- anything you need to feel confident and takes care of/enhances your body and health, spend time with loved ones cooking together or making them a special meal, be more mindful when cooking, dress yourself up in whatever way is comfortable and fun for you, cook yourself your favourite breakfast or dinner as a treat.
Sagittarius: engage in joyful movement, spend time with your pets, practice yoga, tai chi, or qigong, dance, wear animal jewellery, watch nature documentaries, have fun building your fitness, go for a walk, watch a nature documentary (especially around animals), adopt an animal, be intentional about what you want to release, go to the gym, go to a place where there are animals and spend time around them, spend some time working out at home or with friends, work on causes that benefit animal protection and life, try out a fitness dvd or fitness video, burn a list of things or themes you want to remove from your life (safely), cycle, read out a list of things you want to release and cut it up and use candles and incense as extra potency, blowing out the candles when you’re done.

Eris has offered a combat lesson to each of your OCs - any weapon or fighting technique from throughout history. What fighting styles or weapons do your OCs choose to learn? Are there any who decline the lesson?
Siv: While she's already a fairly experienced fighter, they'd love to refresh on Muay Thai, since Eobard had them take classes in it as a teenager but haven't actually sparred with anyone in years without the intent to kill and/or maim, and they'd like to face off with a potential equal (Siv will probably get her ass kicked).
Hailey: Would love to learn how to fight with a spear or staff, since with her ghostly abilities + a little bit of additional technology to target her powers, she can use some minor cryokinesis and it would be convenient to know how to use that ability to fight with a giant-ass icicle
Jay: Would probably turn down the lesson, since he's not sure if it's accessible for a disabled person like himself. However, if he was absolutely sure, he'd love to learn how to do some kind of martial arts while in a wheelchair.
Cassandra: Would love to brush up on kickboxing (and she'd probably try to figure out how to adapt her fighting style to be able to fight in midair).
Esme: Mostly just wants to learn how to use self-defense in heels, since she's had a couple close calls walking home from clubs and she's tired of having to expose her powers every time someone tries to stalk her.
Gina: Would like to learn Tai Chi, mostly for health reasons but also so she can smack a bitch if they decide to mess with her
Arya: Mostly just looking for an excuse to spar with someone as ancient and experienced as themself, decides to take a lesson in knife fighting for the hell of it
Ember: Also wants to learn how to fight in heels, since most of the time they're dressed in drag anyway.
Cat: Prefers to use her wits and a gun, since she's physically rather small and weak, so she might turn down the lesson.
Kyle: Would love to do some wrestling! He's done it before, for a couple years in high school before he switched to football, and he'd love to pick it up again, since it was a lot of fun for him.
Max: Might turn it down, since he can summon his mech suits with just a press of his earrings and take care of any situation like that.
Eric: Prefers to use magic to fight rather than physical force, but he might take a Taekwondo class just for the fitness benefits.
Jacob: Acompanies Eric to his class, because he knows his husband is going to end up spraining SOMETHING because he has no idea what he's doing. This has happened many times before.
Khalil: Would love to learn boxing! He's always wanted to pick it up, but has always felt unwelcome in most classes because he's a rather feminine man and tends to get treated poorly by his classmates.
Antonio: Because he's literally twelve, he wants to learn Ninjitsu, and fight with a katana. His parents immediately object, but ngl I get the feeling that Eris is going to teach him anyway.
Reggie: Would love to learn how to use a shuriken, just for bragging rights with xer friends.
Ameerah: Immediately declines, she prefers her wits and her powers in order to take care of situations.
Rania: Would probably just want to learn some basic self-defense moves in case some idiot decided to try something on her walk home from work.
Director Hawke: Eris doesn't even get halfway through their offer before Hawke recognizes Eris as a metahuman, and a huge fight breaks out (never mind that metas and witches are almost genetically indistinguishable, she has to have her little group to hate)
Meredith: Would want to learn Kalaripayattu, since it's a lesser known martial art and it focuses both in armed and unarmed combat, both of which it would find useful.
Cory: Since Cory's pretty small, Mok Gar might be right up his alley, since it was designed to help a smaller, weaker person to overpower someone who is bigger and stronger.
Kelsie: Prefers not to get into violent altercations, and only uses her plant-based abilities to get out of situations. However, just for the knowledge, she'd want to learn how to use a trident.
Torryn: Is already highly trained in Jiu-Jitsu, but he'd love to take a class in order to refresh his skills and potentially learn any new moves that he didn't know about before.
Onnie: Is already a pretty skilled martial artist, but at Eobard's urging, she'd ask Eris to teach them Lethwei, since it's one of the most brutal, bloody martial arts in the world.
Pippa: Probably just wants to learn fencing, because she's always wanted to try it but never had the money. Also swords are cool.
Jessi: "Ew, no. This is genuine Balenciaga. Do I look like I want to get all sweaty in this?"
Hyun-Ki: Would probably be interested in learning Kendo, since while he doesn't really have a need to learn martial arts, given that he has bodyguards, swords are cool.
Marie: Would love to learn Okinawan Kobudo, since she's trying to get closer to her heritage after losing part of herself (memories, personality, etc) after her assimilation.
Liah: As a pacifist, she'd probably say 'no' right off the bat, though she might be convinced to learn how to use a shield in a purely defensive manner, in case someone tries to attack her.
Qiara: Is quite literally an all-powerful space god, and does not need to defend herself.
Soraya: Would love to learn Capoeira. While it's not the most useful martial art, Soraya is a former gymnast, and the complicated flips and moves would be right up her alley.
Thalia: Thalia would probably be interested in Hapkido, with its focus on both unarmed and armed combat.
Reyna: Would want to learn how to use nunchucks, purely for the bragging rights. Eris, please don't trust Reyna with any potentially lethal weapons. It's already bad enough with her having a lightsaber.
Laila: Probably turns down the offer, since she prefers to learn on her feet, and challenges Eris to a sparring match.
Athena: Athena would probably go for learning Junshi Sanda, so she can turn her already brutally competent fighting skills into a full-on weapon.
Pyrrha: Would love to learn Aikido, since she's already an extremely competent fighter, but she would love to learn some less violent methods of taking down an opponent that don't involve gruesome death.
Samira: Probably would turn down the offer, given that she considers herself far more of the brains than the brawns, and prefers not to get into physical altercations.
Aldrich: Would turn down the offer, since he does NOT want to be in the same room as someone else's blood if there was an injury.
Matt: Probably would say 'no' to Eris's offer, since he's pretty sure he'll fuck up his joints if he tries any crazy new moves.
Sohelia: Would be very interested in learning Eskrima, given its focus on handheld weapons. Even a couple inches more of distance between her and someone else's blood in a fight could mean life or death.
Vanessa: Would love to learn how to use a crossbow, since she's only seen them in movies and it looks like a really cool weapon to use.
Dolores: Since there's very low risk of her losing control and hurting someone, she'd love to learn archery.
Victorie: Would turn down the offer, since she does NOT want to be in the same room as someone else's blood if there was an injury.
Kayla: Took judo when she was younger, would like to take a refresher course so she can remember everything she learned back then.
Dori: Because they are a huge nerd, Dori would love to learn how to use the chakram, given that it's Xena the Warrior Princess's weapon of choice.
Ellis: Given that angels have no need for human martial arts, Ellis would graciously turn down Eris's offer, since they can just go all "Be not afraid" and scare any potential threats shitless.
Gabi: Isn't much of a martial arts kind of gal, but she would love to learn how to use a medieval broadsword, just so she can use one at the Ren Faire.

Tai Chi: A Practice For All Ages
There is a common misconception, particularly among younger generations, that Tai Chi is an exercise exclusively for the elderly. While it is true that Tai Chi is popular among older individuals due to its numerous health benefits, this doesn’t mean that younger people should miss out on its rejuvenating power.
