Heyoo!

Hope you enjoy this little one-shot. I wasn’t quite sure if you wanted platonic or romantic. So I made it so it could be interpreted in either or! And thank you for your patience 💗

You lay in your bed staring at the ceiling, you couldn’t sleep. This has happened more times than you could count, the torturous cycle seemed to keep going. 

You let pout a groan, wanting to stay in bed but knowing darn well you wouldn’t get any sleep just laying here. Pushing your covers off of you, getting out of bed with a groan. Doing what quickly became a routine, you tiptoe to your door. Opening it softly in order to not wake anyone up. 

Closing the door, you tiptoe to Astro’s room. His door was already creaked open. “Astro..?” You whisper, mimicking a knock on the wall. A sleepy voice lets out a tired “Come in…” 

You open the door wider and step inside. Astro is huddled under this covers, currently viewing his friend Shelly’s dream where she’s taming velociraptors. “Can’t sleep I’m guessing?” 

He asks, his view of the dream disappearing into a blue fog. When you nod he scoots over to allow you some room on his bed. You lazily flop onto the mattress, adjusting the blankets to cover you.

He opens his blanket, becoming you to enter his embrace. You slide into him, his arms closing in around you. The only time you or any other toon were aloud to see his arms is whenever you either couldn’t sleep or needed comfort. 

Luckily, you were one of the toons Astro trusted the most. So he was a bit more willing and used to showing you his arms, even if it’s only for a brief second. You set your chin on his shoulder, letting out a content hum.

Astro traces random shapes onto your back, your eyes begin to grow heavier to the point you feel you can’t keep them open anymore. Your eyes begin to close and eventually your body goes limp in Astro’s arms.

Your breaths even out and you eventually feel sleep overtake you. That last thing you hear before falling asleep is Astro’s calming voice letting out a small “Goodnight.”

-Astro would never make it obvious that he is obsessed with you and literally everything about you. You were such a pretty girl that quickly caught his attention, especially with your smile, your laugh, your eyes, literally every single thing about you. At public, he would be the good old Astro, just sticking next to you or even watching you from afar without being too obvious about it, he says that your presence calms him down and he appreciates your company, you don't mind it if he sticks around some more, right? Right..? He is desperate to know more about you, to listen to your voice.

-Astro always gives you the best dreams of your life, you don't mind if he is also there with you, right? He just wants to make sure you enjoy it, you like what he has come up with for you, right? Please compliment him more with that addicting voice of yours, ask him for absolutely anything, you know he can make it happen for you, anything to get your approval and love. The more you see him, you'll eventually fall for him, won't you? Isn't he the best toon out of everyone? Stay with him more in those sweet dreams, won't you? You see his charm, right? He hopes you do..

-While not on every single toon that approaches, when he sees someone getting too close to you, he gives them nightmares, sometimes even nightmares about something horrible happening to you. They won't see you the same way again and distance themselves, will they? That's a shame.. you don't mind it if Astro keeps you company, right? What's that about nightmares? You know Astro sends everyone the best dreams, right? You don't think he did this, do you? He puts on the best worried/stressed face to trick you that he wasn't the one behind this, he ALWAYS makes sure to give everyone good dreams.. that's right, keep comforting him with your adorable concerned face.. you're such a beautiful girl to him.

-If someone still decides to stick around you despite all those nightmares? He is sorry for doing this but they have to go, permanently. He never makes sure to show himself when he gets rid of them. Astro can just gently press his hand on their back and make them very sleepy, and/or give them a lovely push somewhere dangerous, or make them feel so sleepy and weak that whatever they were holding and was heavy ends up on them. His footsteps are so quiet, the only way to truly catch him is to witness his crimes but he has gotten so good at sneaking around, making sure his poor victim is all alone. He usually lets the environment around the victim finish the job for him, whether something heavy falls on them or they get critically or even fatally injured by falling on something dangerous like a sharp corner of a table.

-It's tragic but it gets blamed on the fact that the poor victim wasn't getting enough sleep at all, don't they see the bags under their eyes? Poor them.. they shouldn't have done dangerous work with this lack of sleep! Astro pretends to feel SO guilty about it.. he is supposed to give everyone the best dreams and sleep, he didn't know they still had nightmares, they should have told him! If you, his precious girl starts sobbing hard for the victim, he is there to hold you, pretending to grieve with you. The only thing on Astro's mind is that you're HUGGING him now, you're leaning against HIM. He couldn't be happier.. he tries to comfort you as best as he can as he wraps his arms around you. He is holding you now.. your scent is clouding his mind in such a good way as he pretends to be worried for you.

-He gives you the blanket, pillows, hat, everything just so you can mark them with your scent. He really insists you hold onto those as well, saying that you should get the best things for the best sleep, he has spares anyway. You don't want whatever happened to that poor victim that left permanently because they didn't sleep at all, right? You never get over it but you do give those back to Astro when you feel like you don't need them and your regular bed is fine. He understands, you're such a strong girl, aren't you? He won't mind holding on to those, they have your addicting scent now, he sleeps with them, hoping to hold you as close as he can in his arms like this one day.

-If you have trouble sleeping, he insists he should stay in your room and keep an eye out on you and make sure you stay asleep and have good dreams. You really appreciate all his help and you let him, Astro does his best not to get so excited, this is supposed to be a serious thing, after all. His powers are enough to knock you out as you are in dreamland happily. He loves using this chance to explore your room, everything he can. He might even take some small things for himself, you won't notice, right? No, he didn't take anything.. my, are you sure you are getting enough sleep? He might even leave spare things from his own room as a gift, like space themed stuff or his spare blankets, hats, pillows, just so he stays on your mind longer and longer.

-Astro also uses this chance to admire your face even more closely, he is so grateful for this chance. It's safe to say that he also adores watching you sleep for hours. Don't worry, he still does the thing he needs to do, like send others good dreams, he just hopes no one gets close to YOU, his pretty girl. He will make sure they regret it and back off, he wants to be the only toon in Gardenview where you can open up to him for anything. You really trust him, don't you? You even let him in your room at your most vulnerable state, he won't disappoint you. Astro also loves to leave kisses on your forehead, cheek and even your knuckles, sometimes he just strokes your cheek and admires you greatly. You are always in deep sleep so you can't wake up, he won't allow you to, you need rest, princess.

-When you thank him so cutely like this, he can't help but smile. Don't worry, he doesn't mind not sleeping throughout the day, he wants to spend time with you desperately, he needs to be close by your side. He doesn't care sacrificing his naps just to spend more time with you doing anything, he just needs your presence close to him. He only cares saving all his power for you to have the best dreams, he doesn't care about giving everyone else good dreams, it's not like they will suffer if they don't dream good one night, right? You are the most important toon here, so he focuses only on you. Astro does keep some extra power for emergencies like a quick kill if he finds them threatening your relationship with Astro though he always make sure to give them those horrible nightmares first as a warning before doing so, he's not that violent.. just don't push his buttons so much!

-Oh.. how happy he gets when you get super close to him, he hopes one day he makes you fall hard for him, he doesn't want to risk saying anything like that and making you fear him or see him differently than you do now, he actually doesn't mind it now, he can still hug you, he can stay in your room overnight, he can do all those things, he is happy enough.. he dreams of the day where he gets to kiss your pretty lips, he has thought about doing it before when you are in deep sleep but it just won't be the same if you aren't aware of it.
