El what about if LW's mom was one of Hal's distant cousins or something in the Omega Hal verse so he actually was picking up some of his features on Mouse and they really did look a lot alike lmao

Mouse growing up and sharing an admittedly scary amount of features with Hal is a brilliant idea to explore. All the silly stories he makes up about Mouse getting certain traits and skills from him...is he actually not joking? Because the nose shape....the eye color...the hair color...Hal is that your biological child for real —

So Bruce, in his infinite paranoia, does a DNA test, and what do you know, he's a partial match with Mouse.

"Hal did you abandon your child outside of a fucking fire station in the middle of the night —"

"NO I DIDN'T? WHY WOULD WOULD ASK ME THAT, YOU KNOW I WOULD NEVER. I'M MAKING SOME PHONE CALLS."

He helps Bruce update Mouse's medical history file now that they know Mouse's medical history

He nests his baby extra tight because even though this is his little nibling/cousin, they're his baby now, even more so because he has a biological claim on them
