i've said it before but it will forever and always make me insane that jacob's ending is to join the cullens for the sake of bella not having to give anything up. they find out jake will be immortal & tied to renesmee forever, so bella gets to smile & say "my family is finally complete! ^-^" but jake already HAS a family. he has a father and 2 sisters. quil, embry, seth and sam are like his brothers. jacob and leah were planning to run away together. he's always been welcome in emily's home, sue has been a family friend since before his birth. bella abandons her mortality by choice because she feels no connection to the people around her, but jacob has really strong bonds. it's clear that every character we meet in la push is like family to him, he's an active member of the community. jake would've graduated high school and been a mechanic, would've grown into a young man. a good friend, a fun uncle, a present son. he's set up to have such a rich life. and he's just magically compelled to give that up. beyond his control, he loses sight of everything, because his high school crush's baby is now the singular most important thing to him. he's perpetually 18 with his perpetually 18 year old girlfriend, running around vancouver or alaska or wherever with the girl who friendzoned him at 16 & her in-laws (who were antagonistic to him for months). and i'm just supposed to say omg yay now he doesn't have to let go of bella! everyone is happy! it's complete madness

you hadn’t meant to fall asleep during the movie, but you were so comfortable. being cuddled up into his side, his body heat keeping you warm under the blanket pietra had given you earlier. add in the fact that your boyfriend was genuinely just the most comfortable pillow ever, it was bound to happen.

you had a long week, between work and just life in general, it had been tiring. you thought you would be able to handle a simple movie night, however, you were so wrong. the minute max turned down the lights and within the first half hour of the movie, you were out like a light.

lando smiled softly down at your sleeping frame when he realized you weren’t talking about the movie with them, that you hadn’t reacted to anything playing in front of you like you usually did. he brushed the fallen hair from your face, pulling you a little closer as you slept peacefully. your face was squished against his chest in the cutest way. how was he supposed to disturb you?

when the credits rolled and the lights came back on, max’s voice was quiet as he questioned your state, “was she asleep the whole time?”

lando nodded, gently playing with your hair, “just about,”

max nodded and pietra audibly ‘aw’ed at the fact that their friend was so in love. how he gently moved your limbs, your face nuzzling into his neck as he situated himself to pick you up.

“need some help with the doors?”

“please,” lando said, carrying you bridal style. he smiled at the blonde girl on the couch, “goodnight, p.”

“goodnight,” she smiled, “get home safe.”

max opened the front door, “where’re your keys, mate?”

“left pocket,” lando said, turning to let his best friend fish the keys for the mclaren from the pocket of his sweatpants, “can you unlock it and get the door? i’ve got her,”

his best friend nodded, opening the door as he situated you in the passenger seat. you hummed softly, leaning against the window once he got your seatbelt on, ready to fall back to sleep.

he bid a goodnight and a thanks to max for having the two of you before climbing into the car himself. he turned the volume down on the radio so it wasn’t loud enough to wake you, taking occasional glances your way. he couldn’t help it. you looked so pretty, curled up in the passenger side of his car while you slept.

when he pulled into the driveway, you stirred awake as he leaned over to unbuckle your seatbelt, “how long have i been asleep?”

“a few hours,” his voice was soft, “didn’t even make it through the first half of the movie.”

he chuckled softly as you pressed a hand to your forehead, your giggle sounding through the car, “i’m sorry,”

“nothing to apologize for, baby,” he said, bringing your hand up to his lips and kissing your knuckles softly, “let’s get inside and go to bed, yeah?”

with a simple nod you followed him inside the house, kicking your shoes off and changing into one of his t-shirts before climbing into bed next to him. the minute your head rested on his chest, you knew it’d be only a few more minutes until you were back to sleep.

what makes me actually boil with rage is the way it’s framed as though jacob & the cullens have an even rivalry and like, he hates them just as much as they hate him, but like… jacob is a lower class kid who lives on the rez, the cullens live in a plantation home on private property. jacob calling alice a leech is an insult, but alice calling him a mongrel calls into power and privilege, ya know. like am i supposed to honestly think jake making blonde jokes to rosalie (which is certainly sexist and uncalled for) is on the same level as her serving him food in a dog dish? him seeing the cullens as bloodsuckers and murderers is just like, incorrect and unfair, but them seeing him as uncivilized and over-aggressive has implications deeply rooted in the oppression of his people

the argument was something stupid. a result of exhaustion and frustration on his end. he hasn’t meant to upset you, or yell at you for that matter, but he had. and he felt guilty when you turned on your heels, walking away and leaving him in the kitchen.

you two hadn’t seen much of each other the past week and a half. between his traveling, his training schedule and your own calendar, it felt like you were always just missing each other. it felt like you didn’t get to spend so much time with the other recently, which was a big deal to you beings he’s hardly home to begin with.

you knew he hadn’t really meant to go off, maybe you had caught him at the wrong time. you knew he was tired, wanting nothing more than a simple break. but you couldn’t help it. you missed your boyfriend. plain and simple.

he walked into the bedroom, hoping to find you, but instead heard the sound of the shower running in the bathroom. he cracked open the door, stripping off his shirt.

“lando?”

“hmm?”

“what’re you doing?” you asked, but you knew what he was doing. he wasn’t being very subtle about it.

the shower door opened and he step foot inside with you, curls sticking to his forehead as the water fell onto the two of you, “joining you, is that alright?”

you nodded, letting his hands find your hips.

“i’m sorry,” he mumbled, letting your back hit his chest, lips brushing against the skin of your shoulder, “for yelling and getting short with you. i shouldn’t have yelled.”

you hummed softly, “‘s okay,”

“let me make it up to you.”

his words lost into the skin of your neck and the sound of the shower water pouring down around you. his hands rested on your tummy, holding you against him as you felt his teeth gently nibble at the skin where your neck meets your collarbone.

“how do you plan on making it up to me?”

his hands moved down, fingers dipping between your folds as he teased you. you gasped, head falling back against his shoulder as he smiled down at you, “‘ve got a few ideas.”

“lando,” his name on your tongue sounded heavenly to him.

“yeah, baby,” he said, “tell me what you want. i’m yours.”

you moaned, his teeth gently pulling at your earlobe.

“fuck,” you swallowed, grasping at his forearm. wet from the warm water and his muscles and veins peeking through his perfectly tan skin, “i need you. please,”

he was quick to move his hands to your hips, the two of you finding yourselves situated with your hands on the glass, his one hand on your hip as the other teased himself up and down your slit.

“this what you want, pretty girl? want me to fuck you up against this shower wall?”

“please,” you said. and he would’ve been lying if he said he could deny you like this. spread out and vulnerable, waiting for him to take care of the aching between your thighs that was simply his fault.

“c’mere,” he mumbled, hand wrapping around the base of your throat to pull your head back, your mouth opening in a gasp as he pushed in. no matter how many times he’d have you like this, the stretch and feeling of tightening around him was never not delicious.

“fuck,” he mumbled, slowly moving his hips once you had fully adjusted, “missed you.”

“i missed you too.” you managed to choke out. his hand was still around your throat and as he picked up his movements, the pressure against the points in your neck became greater and greater. your eyes rolled back as he moaned into your ear.

“i love you,” he mumbled, pressing a kiss to the skin below your ear, “so much.”

“i love you too,” you could barely speak, too drunk off of the way his dick was slamming in and out of you. how good it felt to let him have his way with you.

“so good for me,” his free hand traveled, finding your clit with ease as he began running tight circles against it, “come for me, baby. you deserve it.”

you moaned his name, making him pick up the pace just a little more as his hips met yours in a consistent pace. the pace that drove you crazy.

soon the coil in your lower belly was threatening to snap, “‘m so close, lan.”
