What’s really in our food?
Recently, many people have been checking the ingredient lists of our food to determine if it is ultra-processed. We are able to see strange sounding ingredients on the back, but what exactly do they do to our food?
Let’s examine a proclaimed ‘healthy’ food, a gluten free KIND bar. Its ingredients include;
tapioca syrup, produced from tapioca starch that is used as a thickener, sweetener, and stabiliser. It has been linked to causing fatty liver disease.
vegetable glycerin, a sugar alcohol that is a byproduct of the soap and biodiesel industry. It can lead to nausea and diarrhoea.
palm kernel oil, made by the bleaching, deodorising and neutralising of crude palm oil. It increases levels of bad cholesterol.
Keep in mind that these effects are shown when the ingredients are eaten in excess, however 60%-90% of the average American diet are full of these foods (that are ultra processed). Learn your ingredients!

Chicken Alfredo Spaghetti Squash
Ingredients:
1 spaghetti squash
2 chicken breasts, sliced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper
Instructions:
Prepare the squash: Cut the squash in half, remove the seeds, and bake at 200°C (400°F) for 40-45 minutes.
Make the sauce: In a pan, heat the olive oil, sauté the garlic, then add the chicken until cooked through. Stir in the cream, Parmesan cheese, and season with salt and pepper.
Serve: Use a fork to separate the spaghetti squash strands, mix with the Alfredo sauce and chicken. Garnish with parsley if desired

Servings: 4
Ingredients:
3 packs - Low Carb Spaghetti
1 carrot, cut into strips
1½ medium white onion, cut into strips
1 lb chicken breast, cut into slices
1½ cup cabbage, shredded
Green onion
Sesame seeds to top
Chow Mein Sauce:
3 tbsp tamari
2 tbsp sesame oil
2 tbsp sweetener
¼ cup bone broth (or more)

Directions:
1. In a separate bowl, make your chow mein sauce.
2. Season your chicken with salt and pepper.
3. On medium heat, cook chicken breast until golden brown, then remove from your @madein nonstick pan.
4. Next, cook your vegetables until al dente. Start with your onion and carrots, then add cabbage.
5. Add your spaghetti noodles and toss. Add your chicken back in the pan and top with your sauce.
6. Top with green onion and sesame seeds and enjoy!

i switched to a keto diet, high restriction, and made sure to burn off all my cals (+ affirming and manifesting 🤷🏽♀️✨) ; the weight just fell off yall- istg i’ve never lost this fast !! (lost the last 5 lbs over the past THREE days 🫣🫢)
i’m gonna keep this up for another four days (at least) while restricting less bc this keto flu is taking a toll on me- but knowing everything you’re burning is actual body fat / quick ass results is helping me push through ⏳💪🏼💖 i’ll probably forever be wanting low carbs now, even after the diet smh

Easy 4-ingredient Crockpot Ravioli Lasagna Bariatric Latest Kitchen Recipes 2024 A simple and delicious crockpot lasagna using only four ingredients for an easy meal solution. Components : Jarred spaghetti sauce, 24 oz. Shredded mozzarella cheese, 16 oz. Ground beef, 1-pound. Frozen ravioli, 16 oz. Preparation Steps : Grease or spray your crockpot insert first. Arrange layers: half of the sauce, followed by ravioli, then beef, and cheese. Repeat with remaining ingredients, keeping cheese last. Set crockpot to high for 3 hours or low for 5 to 6 hours. For the stove, combine all but cheese in a large skillet, add water, boil then simmer. On the stove, once simmered, spread cheese on top, let sit covered for melting. For the oven, preheat to 350°F, layer minus one cheese top, bake then add final cheese bake again.

So my 4 day fast turned into a 5 day fast 😁
And after 5 days my weight has gone from 282 down to 274.6 this is the lowest i have seen since before i had my son almost 2 years ago. This makes me want to just keep fasting cuz the refeed will make it go up 😓 but hopefully wont be too much and get right back on track, i will be breaking the fast this afternoon. Just 6 more hours to complete a full 5 days which is when i'll be breaking later today
