Hello, I just saw someone say that Catholic Romans killed Jesus and I am blown away by the implications of Catholicism somehow developing and dominating a massive empire before Jesus' death and also hating Jesus (y'know, their messiah according to Catholicism) enough to execute him.

I can't tell if this is an anti-Catholic Christian (I know they exist, I do not know why) or someone woefully misinformed about basic religious history and concepts. I want to study them under a microscope.
