This week has been *a lot* once again for me, but we're coming up to the holidays and hopefully some relaxation is just around the corner!

On that note: I've been doing these memes once a week for... a while. However, I'm going to be spending time with family I haven't seen in literal decades soon, so no more text post memes over the festive period. Normal service will resume some time in January 🙌 In the meantime, enjoy these and hope you all have a restful time 🥰

I was thinking about the episode wear the husbands switched places, and it got me thinking what it looked like from their perspectives. For Aziraphale, it was easy. Dramatically act as his partner and scare a bunch of demons mindless, then they would be safe. Simple and effective.

But from Crowley's perspective...

Within the first few moments of their switch, he turns his back for one second, and holy hands have grabbed hold of him. Regardless of the fact that this entire scheme was agreed upon by pair as an acting scheme, the whole truth is Crowley is still being manhandled by vengeful, merciless angels, trying to drag him up to heaven. The emotional trauma that he sustained from falling is bound to reappear in his mind in a moment like this.

As he's struggling and fighting against heaven, he looks to Aziraphale for comfort, but seconds later, you know what he sees? He sees his partner, the light of his life, his world, get snuffed out as they are ripped from the ground into the firey pits of Crowley's own hell. He must have felt horrible during this plan, because it brought so many of his nightmares to life.

“My darling.” echoed the angel, the pads of his fingers digging lightly into the demon’s hand. “You are far from wretched. You are the most lovely thing.”

“Lovely.” repeated Crowley with a hint of a bitter chuckle. “You might be the first and only angel to ever use that word to describe a demon.” 

“You were an angel once. A most darling one.” remembered Aziraphale, fondly, bunching his eyebrows at the sudden pained expression crossing Crowley’s face. 

“That angel is gone now. You know that.” warned Crowley, releasing one of the hands he held, leaving the other to experience the light pressure of divine fingers. How he had dreamt of those fingers so, pictured them running down his neck in a whisper, pictured them entangled with his red hairs between blankets and pillows where nobody but them was of consequence.

Me: I shouldn't disturb Neil Gaiman. I shouldn't send an ask unless I really have no way of getting the information otherwise. I'll check old interviews and all the articles that vaguely mention the subject. Of course it goes without saying that I'll read though the FAQ in its entirety. Only then, will I send an ask. However, I'd be very polite and praise his work, as anyone would. I'd also keep it short, because I don't want to waste his time. But I'd keep it very very respectful. I'd be sending a message to a very talented, amazing author that deals with god knows how many like me. Or I'd just stay in the dark and not send him an ask. Yeah, I'll do that.
