Purple Old English Gothic is Alpheus, pink Technical Lettering is Kaiko. Not sure how well the metallic details came across, though. something to work on.
Quote is once again something @httyd-nerd posted.

I meant to start recording this before I started drawing, but here's a quick timelapse of an unfinished piece. My shoulder started complaining before I could do anything fancy, but I intend to add some waves at the bottom later.

I finaly made nightfury kaiko but i feel like i dont like the desing on the body the head is fine is fine but maybe i could have done something different but for now is acceptable.for will nightfury i will do something different with his design that way when i work on ant and fontaine they can get traits from their parents.for now am not so sure how their color scheme will go because i want to use their wetsuit colors but i dont know what patterns to use on them.and i also wanted to use the idea of their marks to make them glow like bioluminescent beaches at night.but if any body has different ideas on Kaiko's desing or the nektons i would appreciate alot.

Introducing the second original dragon species in my crossover AU, the Forktail! (Name pending, but for now I canât think of anything else. Though Iâm not opposed to the name)
The Forktail is a relatively uncommon dragon, or a relatively isolated from human settlements dragon, depending on who you ask. Regardless, Forktail dragons are hard to find, and not just because they avoid most humans. Forktails have the ability to camouflage, much like their far larger and more common relatives, the Changewings. Unlike their larger cousins, Forktails donât have the ability to spit acid. However, over years of evolution theyâve developed a small defense mechanism when their camouflage fails. A brief electrical surge can run across their skin, shocking anyone who is touching them. Unlike Skrills or Shockjaw dragons, Forktails donât shoot lightning bolts, simply having the lightning surge. Itâs effective nonetheless, very few people being happy after being zapped by a Forktail.
Forktail dragons, like their cousins the Changewings and another dragon of similar heritage, only come in a certain number of colors. Forktails come in a variety of blues, greens, and purples, though they can come in practically every shade and combination of the colors possible. Forktails also have a bioluminescent pattern that they flash as communication or as a mating display, though they only glow when the bioluminescence is needed. Itâs hard for a dragon refuted for camouflage to hide when they have bioluminescent patterns glowing all the time, after all. Forktails have light grey eyes no matter the sex, and have very little outward differences to determine the gender of a dragon.
Forktails are hard to come across, and usually unnerving to many who happen upon one. Most dragons show a sentience that most other animals donât have, on par with human empathy. Forktails, while dragons, are a little different. Theyâre known for being seemingly detached emotionally, though no less intelligent or sentient than all the other breeds of dragon. Rumor has it that thereâs a little something else in their genetic heritage beyond the blood they share with Changewings, something thatâs more prominent in another, more dangerous cousin. This isnât to say that, intelligence and empathy wise, theyâre lesser than other dragons. Forktails are still just as intelligent and capable of complex, human levels of thought, that other species of dragons have. Theyâre even known for forming intense bonds with dragons of their own species and others.
Behold, the dragon that Alpheus is traveling with, a Forktail! I had to include ARIA in some way, since sheâs such a big part of his story, but I wasnât sure how to bring her in for a while. For starters, the technology required to make an AI doesnât exist here. But I didnât want to make her a person here either, and Alpheus having a dragon that he rode didnât feel right either. Eventually, I settled on a smaller dragon, with abilities that were similar to his submarine. Sooo, did I make an entirely new species of dragon just so Alpheus can have ARIA? No, not entirely. Forktails are also part of a further world building effort, something that becomes relevant and important further into the series we go. The emotional detachment is meant to resemble how ARIA is an AI in The Deep, but it also connects to the world building and lore that the species sheâs a part of has.

I talked with my brother today, bouncing ideas off him as one who writes does, and finally figured out Alpheusâs motives and goals. I of course will not be revealing them quite yet, but I have them figured out now!

Something i thought about while writing more of a fic today, that I was also reminded of reading a tag @lamarie-artsy about something in a story of theirs being a Madeline in increment, was Ant and Maddieâs heights in general. Theyâre roughly the same height, Madeline being a bit taller, but the context for their height regarding their age group is WILDLY different for the pair of them.
Ant is twelve-thirteen years old during the show. He has been mentioned repeatedly throughout the show now as being small. It was mentioned, like, five seperate times during that episode with the temple and the giant stonefish.
Madeline is ten years old, and turns eleven later in the series. Her dad is really tall and Finnâs a decent height as well. The Junior Nektons, two years younger than her at best, are considerably shorter than her and Ant.
So, might I offer up a new headcanon of mine about these two, for all of you seven people of this fandom, to enjoy. Ant is, kind of canonically, pretty short for his age, and Madeline is actually tall for her age. This pisses Ant off even further when he realizes how old Madeline is, filling him with utter rage at the fact a ten-eleven year old he deals with on a regular basis is taller than him, and obnoxiously lucky in the genetic department by just being tall in general

Fontaine: So I have made the decision to trust you.
