Pioneering a "how much craft per craft" scale that determines how much of the time you spend doing any given handcraft is actually spent on what a layperson would imagine the core of the craft is vs other associated tasks. Spinning? Mostly actual spinning. Sewing? Mostly ironing. Wood and metalworking? Mostly sanding. Weaving? I've only had a chance to do one project, but from what I can gather from my more experienced friends, it seems to be mostly math.

i am always urging people to think about what "safe for work" really means and why we've come to equate "won't be found objectionable by your employer, who has the power to ruin your life" with "good and harmless and 'wholesome'"

also people who talk about public transit being scary because "there's crazy people on it" grow bones. I have been in the psych ward so many times. and do you know who the scariest people at the psych ward are? doctors.

you know who isn't very likely to be taking the bus with you? psych ward doctors.

romance is a type of friendship and im sick of people pretending like they're two seperate categories. your romantic partner is Supposed to also be your friend like at the very least why are we pitting romance AGAINST friendship when they r intertwined???? romantic partners are also friends and u can have romance with ur friends stop acting like these bitches are seperate forces

I think the weirdest thing about how some Americans are terrified of public spaces is that I'm also terrified of public spaces and they make me seem normal and well-adjusted in comparison

Possibly because I'm aware that my terror most comes from trauma making my warning light faulty

yeah I have had diagnosed agoraphobia for about 20 years and I'm significantly less afraid of the world than most of these people true crime podcast brained people

it's interesting what people are culturally Told they should be afraid of bc it Might Hypothetically Harm Them vs what other ppl have Learned to be afraid of bc it Has Actually Harmed Them or their loved ones. what we are trained to see as an unacceptable pattern of Likely Violence vs what we are trained to dismiss as either an anomaly or an inevitable cost of living in a society
