The weird shift of pre T being looked at as a white girl with long hair viewed as normal vs nearly 2 years on T being a latino with long hair and suddenly people won’t stop touching my fucking hair

I've seen people calling Aiden Thomas a transmed author (mostly cause some transmeds like to claim his books), but if you followed Aiden Thomas on social media you'll see this not the case, also I think the reason why a lot of white transmeds resonate with his novels like Cemetery Boys and The Sunbearer Trials, has nothing to do with Aiden Thomas's writing and more to do with the fact that Aiden Thomas writes stories about LATINO trans men, and for a lot of white transmascs the message went way over their head.
In my own personal experience as a latino trans guy I relate much more to Aiden Thomas's work then to most other transmasc authors, because Aiden knows that it's a lot easier for us to internalize those toxic ideas of gender. Toxic masculinity is prevalent in latine culture it has it's own damm name "machismo". Therefore it's a lot harder for us to come to the realization that there's nothing wrong with our bodies and the problem stems from the way society views them. To add to that just as toxic masculinity is so over enforced in latine culture so is toxic feminity, so many of us feel the need to present very femininely before we finally decide to start presenting as ourselves. So once we actually come out and start presenting as male we try to compensate for that. On top of that growing up latine and afab means you and your body gets sexualized a lot more often. Mostly by the white supremacist stereotype of the curvy spicy Latina.
With all of that I can easily explain why when I read The Witch King, a novel about a white trans guy, when Wyatt said that he doesn't have a problem with his body and it was the way that people saw him as female, I personally couldn't relate.
But now going on the the actual content of Aiden Thomas's work (I will only be touching on Cemetery Boys because I haven't finished the Sunbearer Trials 😅).
Yadriel starts the novel with a lot of internalized transphobia which he's not even aware of. This is because at this point, he is the only queer person he knows, and he's surrounded by people who see him as different for who he is. It's not until he meets Julian, another queer person who has interacted with many other queer people. It's not until Yadriel starts talking to Julian and his friends that he starts realizing that everything he was taught about what it means to be a man is bullshit by the end of the book while I'm sure Yadriel hasn't 100% gotten over his internalized transphobia, he set on a path to unlearn it.
Aiden Thomas isn't a transmed author he just writes about the trans experience from a perspective that is often overlooked.
Closing off I would like to set the record cause as a latino trans author that's currently working on a novel about a latino trans boy mc. For any transmeds who wanna claim my work, it's not for you.

no but actually when a trans person of color tries to talk about oppression, you should shut up and listen, especially if you're cis and white.

Cecilia Gentili was a trans activist.
Cecilia Gentili was a mother.
Cecilia Gentili was a friend.
Celicia Gentili was an icon.
Celicia Gentili was here.
Cecilia navigated an often unkind world with a disarming and empowering grace. Her journey from Argentina to the heart of New York City was not merely a search for sanctuary but a quest to make the invisible seen, the silenced heard, and the marginalized celebrated. Her activism was her art, and her art was a form of activism. Cecilia painted vivid pictures of resilience, struggle, and triumph through her storytelling. She brought to life the experiences of the trans community, advocated the decriminalization of sex work, and supporting those living with HIV/AIDS. Cecilia's voice was a clarion call for justice, echoing in the corridors of power and the streets, demanding change, equity, and love.
Cecilia was a force.
Cecilia's legacy is not only in the many movements she helped shape or the policies she influenced, but also in the lives she touched. She mentored many, sharing her wisdom, warmth, and wicked sense of humor, oh so generously. To be loved by Cecilia was to be seen in your entirety, embraced for who you were, and inspired to become who you might be. I know this from personal experience. Her capacity for love was boundless, and she gave it freely, fiercely, and without reservation.
Tumblr media
Cecilia was a healer.
Like her activism, her art reflected her soul—bold, beautiful, and transcendent. Cecilia used her creativity as a tool for advocacy; her performances and storytelling were not just entertainment but powerful statements on identity, society, and the human condition. Through her art, she challenged systems, questioned injustices, and oriented communities in the discipline of hope.
Cecilia was a teacher.
Cecilia Gentili leaves behind a world forever changed by her presence. She showed us that change is possible, that love is powerful, and that living one's truth is the ultimate form of resistance. Let us honor her memory by supporting one another with compassion, living our truths, and building the world she knew we all deserved.
Cecilia is now an ancestor.
Rest in power, Cecilia. Your journey here has ended, but the love you left us is everlasting. We love you, miss you, and will never forget you.

This is a question for transfems of color.
What do you wish white transmascs undersood in order for us to form stronger solidarity with you and be better allies to you in our fight against transphobia, transmisogyny, and transmisogynoir?
Sincerely,
A white trans masc who is close friends with a couple transfems of color.

Getting tired of being left out in white queer spaces. Any bipocs around on Tumblr here that I can follow? I'd love to be more involved in these communities. Here's my dog being comfy in my bed as a bonus.

To anyone who is able to vote this year, please listen!
I know I haven't been posting much art lately. Sorry about that. I have been having some burn out and my mental health has been shit.
Anyways, I figured I would post what's been on my mind today.
I know many of us who currently live or are born in The States/USA have felt pretty hopeless with everything going on in the country at the moment. Especially because of the whole Biden V Trump shit that has been going on for a long while.
We have felt like that no matter who we vote for it's honestly pointless because either Biden or Trump will win. Well, honestly I would HIGHLY recommend checking out Mrs. Marianne Williamson.
Marianne Williamson is the only person in the Democratic party who has been calling for a ceasefire over in Gaza since the very beginning.
She stated that if she becomes the president she is going to be negoiating with the Ukraine and going to try and do as much as she can to help.
She, if she becomes president, wants to establish a Department of Peace because she believes that we need to better target and discuss peace just as much as we do war.
She wants to fight climate change.
She wants to make healthcare and college universal and free.
She wants to help disabled communities.
She wants to give land back to Indigenous tribes.
She wants to create more gun safety laws.
She wants to make jobs and homes more accessable.
She wants to help protect reproductive rights.
She wants to target mental health and make it more accessable to the people.
She wants to put more POC, LGBTQIA+, and disabled people into our government to be certain that when they are discussing matters that personally target those communities, people who represent those communities can speak their minds on it.
She wants to provide funding over the span of two decades to the black communities for the years of slavery that our country has put them through.
She wants to target poverty and the economy as a whole.
And lots more.
If you'd like to read up on her and what she stands for, you can find that -> here
Please spread this around as much as possible! We need a president who stands with Gaza, the LGBTQIA+ Community, the POC community, the Disabled Community, etc. She is that. She is just aaa. I checked out here site and was not disappointed. You can find her main site -> here
I just wanted to say that there's hope!!!! I know who has my vote this year. Please make sure you vote this year!
(Sorry for typos-)
