After Election Day We Roll Our Sleeves Up.
Tumblr media
I won’t lie, I’ve had some kind of hard times (small in comparison to so many other peoples in the world) but in comparison to my hard times, I think Trump being elected has been the hardest. I remember the speeches I made while phone banking most of them sent to voice mail about why Trump never could go to office, about all the people who would be hurt if Trump got elected and how with Trump even the fate of the world we leave behind for future generations is at stake. For every day Trump is in office, when I let my head go silent, my head starts to bring to mind each of the people at stake, each of the ways we are in danger. Everyone’s heart is broken, including those close to me, and I can’t help feeling like I failed them all, and I’m so sorry I didn’t do more to ensure this man didn’t get into office. To all those affected by Trumps legislation, I am so so sorry. I am so sorry I only started trying to make a difference the last few days before Election Day. But. now Kamala in her concession speech was right, she conceded in the election, but the fight for social justice is not by any means over. As she said, (man this woman is a woman of steel) we just gotta roll our sleeves us. Heck, the right is passing an overwhelming wave of conservative legislation, but that’s only in response that we shine so brightly. They are afraid of us, of our beauty of uniting together, and their doing everything they can to demoralize us, so we don’t see our own power. But it’s only because we are so powerful that there is so much anti us e. We are strong and that is why they are fighting so hard to break us down, and that is because we scare them, that is because the world we dream of us revolutionary and it is possible to see it in our lifetimes. But you know what, these next four years we got to do what the administration is not, we have to stand together to fight every person that Trumps legislation will be targeting, we have to stand with Trans people, gay people, queer people black people, native people, disabled people, Palestinian people, immigrants , people with uterus’s who do as a matter of fact have the right to choose, despite the right’s audacity to think otherwise, and if we stand together we person by person can make the country we want. We The People Do Have power, and if the presidents not the leader we want, we have to be leaders and stand for eachother, and our example will burn bright all the way to the White House. And send the message that in four years, the White House will be blue. Tomorrow, despite my depression and agoraphobia I’m going to challenge myself to go to the food pantry. If any of yall share any ways that your going to fight for the people targeted by Drump’s legislation, I’ll do an art peace for them (it goes without saying no charge) and the fighting back can be big or small too, just some personal way of (peacefully) saying fuck you to the president. Hopefully in four years when the nightmares over we will have an art gallery that spans across multiple buildings. With love and great sorrow but also hope for the America of some day, that is good. -Levian

I know two men who are currently single. One is 26, and the other is 38.
I’ve spoken with both of them at length about what they want in a woman, seeing as they’re cishet and white.
They both immediately went for physical attributes. Thin, but needs to have a nice butt. Boobs can’t be too big. One likes short hair, the other likes long hair. They also went into facial features for some reason. That was the part that made me really uncomfortable as I hadn’t expected either of them to have been that focused on appearances.
Aesthetics came next. Both want ‘alt goth / witchy’ women. It should be worth noting both of these men said their potential partner can’t wear too much makeup.
Lastly came personality and interests. They both said this is the most important thing to them, but they also ‘have to be pretty’. Oh, and they need to listen.
I have some single ladies I’ve also spoken with.
It’s the opposite. They rarely care about looks. It’s about chemistry, emotional connection, feeling safe, and sharing common goals / ideals.
While I know it’s not ‘all men’ it sure as fuck is a lot of you. Also both of these men think they’re part of the ‘good cishet white liberal men’ who voted for Kamala, despite one of them not voting at all.
He’s the 38 year old. To make things worse, he’s trying to date a 24 year old. 🤷‍♀️ His criteria for a potential partner was also under the age of 30 because it means less baggage and they’re still ‘fun to be around’.
You don’t want to know what he doesn’t bring to the table. Either of them, rather. 😅
We do have a male loneliness epidemic, but it’s not women’s fault. We don’t owe you anything. We’re not vending machines you put tokens into and get sex out of. Male culture made by men and perpetuated by men has made men this way. And it’s your job as men to fix it, not point the finger at us and say it’s our fault for not wanting to be with you. Some of us like myself want to actually HELP you, but you guys rarely want to listen. You instead want to complain to us about our gender and how unfair we’re being by not giving you a chance.
We don’t owe you anything.
On January 20th, 2025 and forward, they’re going to try to take our rights. They may succeed.
Men have to take from us because they’ve gaslit themselves into seeing us as the enemy, despite having driven us away by their own actions centered around self interest.
“It’s not all men. But it sure is a lot of you.”

please stop scrolling for a sec!! i'd really appreciate your attention!!
Tumblr media
hello, my name is nexys and i am a disabled, autistic, and queer person trying to make it in the content creation world. i'll do my best to keep this short and sweet, but i'm going to be having a subathon over on twitch starting 8/1 (august 1st) at 12pm CST.
this event is super important to me, as i'm trying to raise money to improve my living situation, as well as the living situations of those in my community. i'm also going to be running a charity day on friday, august 2nd for parkinson's awareness, research, and treatment, and will be having on my grandfather, who is an advocate with the disease. and i know it would mean a lot to him if he was able to raise some money to help other people like him.
for those that don't know, a subathon is when a streamer goes live on twitch for a certain amount of time, and the stream ends when the timer runs out. however, the timer can be increased indefinitely by viewers donating money, subscribing, gifting subscriptions, or cheering bits.
due to my disabilities i can't go 24/7 like some of the maniacs (/lh) out there, but i have committed to going every single day for at least four hours until the timer hits zero. and once again, this subathon event holds potential to be lifechanging for a lot of people. plus i'll be collaborating with over a dozen other creators throughout the first week, so you'll be getting a lot of variety! we'll be playing everything from pokémon to phasmophobia, roblox to subnautica, and more!
even if you can't contribute financially, dropping a follow, saying hello, and just Being There would mean the world to everyone involved.
here's my linktree, which directs to every website i'm on, including my twitch channel and discord server.
even if you're not personally interested in this project, please consider reblogging! there's a chance one of your followers might be interested, and any engagement helps. <33 thank you so much for reading this far, and i hope you have a great rest of your day/night!

Link to full article on OTW website.
Hey. Yo.
Call your US senators!
TLDR::
Bill 9495 would allow the US government to kill OTW and Ao3. (And any other organizations that help LGBTQIA+ or homeless or immigrant or womb-having or etc communities!!) Call your 2 US senators and tell them NO!
Full text of the bill.
I see this is bad, but I don't know my senators.
No problem! Enter your address here, and you'll get your 2 senators and your House Representative. The House has already passed this bad bill. Call the senators. Their phone numbers will be listed under their names.
I don't know what to say, though.
Very little, actually! I just called my two senators.
One had an "Opinion Voicemail" set up for me to say, "Hi, my name is [XXX] and I live in your state. I want you to vote NO on 9495. It's very bad and I feel very strongly about this."
For my second senator, I said the same thing to a staffer with a tally sheet.
No one is expecting you to defend your opinion or to give your reasons. You can explain yourself, but you won't be talking to the senator directly. No need to worry about sounding super-political or ultra-smart.
Does this really work?
Yes, actually! What makes it work isn't that any one of us gives a speech so powerful that we single-handly change the hearts and minds of the US Congress. It's a group effort.
When hundreds of us call and bitch about it to each of our senators, that's 100 senators from 50 states with 100 headaches from all the calls.
Some senators are cool and already agree to vote NO on 9495.
Some senators need to be made aware of just how many of us there are. We're watching. We're voting.
Do your duty as a US citizen. Keep AO3, its writers, & its readers safe.
Call and Complain.

"wait but how can that work ?" instead of asking how their queer identity works, and how can it be valid, maybe ask them their experiences. ask how it feels to themself being a mspec mono, or lesboy, or turigirl, or whatever. instead of getting angry at queer identities which dont fit your standard, just perhaps let it go and ask them as a person what their identity means to them. stop policing identities and open up your mind a little.

RADQUEERS & TRANSIDS STOP REBLOGGING THIS POST IS NOT FOR YOU
RADQUEERS & TRANSIDS STOP REBLOGGING THIS POST IS NOT FOR YOU
RADQUEERS & TRANSIDS STOP REBLOGGING THIS POST IS NOT FOR YOU
ik this blog is dead but yknow what, im gonna take advantage of my following to make an important post:
this pride month, i want you to educate yourselves & support the "controversial" queers.
& no i dont mean people with contradictory labels or xeno pronouns or those who use outdated/offensive terminology. i mean the people that even the most sex-positive, pro-kink, self-proclaimed perverts think are dangerous freaks who deserve to die.
i mean the paraphiles & people with taboo or stigmatized kinks/fetishes. i mean the people into the most taboo & stigmatized things like children, animals, corpses, & incest. i mean the people into violent things like murder, gore, rape, & abuse. i mean the people into unsanitary things like piss, shit, vomit, sweat, & snot. i mean the people into things that are constantly memed on like feet, armpits, bodily excretions, cartoon characters, pool toys, & plushies. i mean the people with attractions that would be illegal, immoral, or downright impossible to act out in real life.
no attraction is inherently harmful or evil. there are safe ways to indulge in these things such as fictional content, roleplay with consenting partners, & custom sex toys.
no, i dont think paraphilias are lgbt+ identities. they cant really be grouped into the same category or treated the same way as being gay or trans. but paraphilias are undeniably queer, as theyre highly stigmatized attractions that fall outside the norm. paraphiles face far more violence & hatred than any other lgbtq identity you can think of. it is still normalized & accepted to subject paraphiles to abusive treatments that have been proven to be cruel & ineffective, such as conversion therapy, forced sterilization, & excessive medication. even queer people forget their own history & advocate for this kind of abuse for paraphiles. there is no safe space for paraphiles to seek support, acceptance, or community the way lgbtq has pride, & that's a damn shame.
& believe it or not, many (maybe even most!) paraphiles are gay, bi, pan, poly, trans, nonbinary, aro, ace, & any other lgbtq identity you can think of.
so yes, paraphiles belong at pride. spend this month unlearning preconceived biases & educate yourself on what paraphilias actually are & how theyre not inherently dangerous.
