@degenerate-mystery-inc-whore and I are very different people. And that’s why we’re such amazing friends! She does her kinky lesbian activities and I watch Godzilla and bake cookies. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.

Reblogging every time this fucker hits my dash.
Tumblr media
what do you mean elon musk did a nazi salute on live tv at the united states presidential inauguration twice and is now erasing the evidence off the internet by replacing the footage with the crowd cheering instead?
Tumblr media
would be a shame if people reblogged this, wouldn’t it?

11.6.24
I began this piece shortly after the results for the 2024 election came through on my phone, when the sun had yet to rise and everyone in my home was still asleep. What a shock it was to see that my rights were being pushed aside for “the sake of the economy.”

Make plans, talk to people
in light of Trump's inauguration speech declaring multiple national emergencies that require him to take god-knows-what executive actions immediately, I'd like to remember this chapter of "On Tyranny" by Timothy Snyder:

Wow, it's like Democrats just overlook the high-ranking member of their own party. Wow, the double standards are mine blowing 🤯. TRUMP 2024 🇺🇲

Important
some actually practical pieces of information that hopefully may quell some worries about Trump's second term:
This article explains the impracticality and illegality of Project 2025, and why most of it is very likely to be legally struck down.
This article explains how, even with a narrow Republican majority in the House, Trump will only be able to pass very bland partisan laws or bipartisan laws.
The ACLU has already prepared a gameplan for combatting the effects of Project 2025.
The state of New York has contingency plans to fight against Project 2025.
like obviously it's still gonna be a rough 4 years, and i'm not dismissing any legitimate worries. i'm just hoping this might ease some anxieties just a little.
if anyone else has some similar pieces of practical information that can dispel some of the panic, please feel free to share them!
stay vigilant and keep fighting, but try not to despair. try to keep a calm and level head as we head into the new year.

Folks. I know this isn’t my usual content but I can’t just let this sit, especially when I haven’t seen many news organizations talking about this. Here is the body of an email sent to ALL federal employees today. From Veterans Affairs to NASA etc etc.
Tumblr media
[Dear agency employees,
We are taking steps to close all agency DEIA offices and end all DEIA-related contracts in accordance with President Trump's executive orders titled Ending Radical and Wasteful Government DEI Programs and Preferencing and Initial Rescissions of Harmful Executive
Orders and Actions.
These programs divided Americans by race, wasted taxpayer dollars, and resulted in shameful discrimination.
We are aware of efforts by some in government to disguise these programs by using coded or imprecise language. If you are aware of a change in any contract description or personnel position description since November 5, 2024 to obscure the connection between the contract and DELA or similar ideologies, please report all facts and circumstances to [email protected] within 10 days.
There will be no adverse consequences for timely reporting this information. However, failure to report this information within 10 days may result in adverse consequences.
Thank you for your attention to this important matter.]
The verbiage in this letter is completely disgusting. And even worse is the threat of consequences for not reporting something. They haven’t said what such consequences may include, but any consequence regarding inaction is very difficult to prove. It can be used against POC/queer/afab/disabled employees, because to this administration, “I didn’t know” may not be enough. This is a dangerous precedent and a threat from our government to its own employees.
Please share this if you can. And to my minority communities employed as civil servants and government contractors, please do your best to stay safe at work. It’s more important than ever to have each others backs.
