Oatmeal Cake Recipe
Here's a recipe for an oatmeal cake that's both delicious and easy to make:
Ingredients:
1 and 1/2 cups of old-fashioned oats
1 and 1/2 cups of boiling water
1/2 cup of unsalted butter, softened
1 cup of granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 and 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/2 cup of chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan and set it aside.
In a mixing bowl, combine the oats and boiling water. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
In a separate mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add in the eggs, one at a time, and mix well.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the oatmeal mixture. Mix until well combined.
Stir in the vanilla extract and chopped walnuts, if using.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth out the top with a spatula.
Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let the cake cool for a few minutes in the pan before slicing and serving.
This oatmeal cake is perfect for breakfast or as a sweet snack. You can even top it with a drizzle of icing or whipped cream for an extra indulgent treat. Enjoy!

Mein erster Post hier auf Tumblr! Yeeeahy! (davor war ich sehr aktiv auf Instagram - natürlich auch immer noch). Ich werde die Posts hier in Deutsch aber auch in Englisch machen (also bitte seit gnädig mit mir und den Fehlern die ich vielleicht mache). "Raw Vegetable Tacos"
Ingredients:
1 head of lettuce or collard greens (for the taco shells)
2 cups diced vegetables of your choice (such as bell peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions)
1 avocado, diced
1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
1/4 cup lime juice
1/4 cup olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
Optional toppings: salsa, cheese, sour cream, hot sauce
Instructions:
Cut the lettuce or collard greens into large leaves to use as taco shells.
In a large bowl, combine the diced vegetables, avocado, cilantro, lime juice, olive oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix well.
Place a few spoonfuls of the vegetable mixture onto each lettuce or collard green leaf.
Add any desired toppings, such as salsa, cheese, sour cream, or hot sauce.
Fold the leaf in half and enjoy!

A reminder that breakfast can be lunch & lunch can be breakfast — you make the rules, boo. This nameless plate is still one of my faves: Sliced tomatoes with avocado, arugula, soft-boiled eggs, olive oil, balsamic glaze, oregano, crushed red pepper, and salt and pepper. Highly recommend serving with some fresh basil. Tips on how to soft boil eggs live on my story highlights, but I bring water to a boil, add eggs, cook for 7 min and then immediately remove and add to ice water.
