I was out in public today talking to a friend about the book I’m writing and the girls walking behind me were giggling to themselves about how it was probably bad and I’d never make any money off it. Who the hell thinks that it’s okay to say that about someone’s dream? So what if I never make money off it? People spend tons of time and money on their kids and get very little in return. How is my story I’ve treasured and grown over 7 or 8 years that much different from your womb nugget? “But you get to see your children grow up and they can love you back!” I see my story and the characters within it grow and change every day and one day it’ll be published and someone will love it like I have. So what if it can’t love me back? I’ll find the love in the people that stay up past midnight reading it under the covers. I’ll find it in its pages that are worn from being read over and over. I’ll find it even if only one person ever reads it.

I like Aym and Baal! I'm intrigued by them and I hope we get to see more of them the further along the game updates....like I need more cat family reunion stuff to happen. Like, I wonder how they handle Narinder no longer being their master! As for their appearance in my fic, yes! They'll appear :)

everyone saying alicent is a bad mother and focusing on the moment she left rather than the moments (plural!!) that she stayed. the maesters tell her they’re getting to the hard part and instead of leaving the room she just steps back because she cannot leave her son alone in his state. she tries to become queen regent so that she can act for him rather than provide aemond the opportunity to do more harm. and then, despite her own sick history, she returns to the same bed where she cared for a dying viserys and sits with her son. we don’t know how long she sat there before she left. it could have been hours. can we not give her the benefit of the doubt unlike the men on the council who stripped her of any and all authority despite her proving herself time and time again!?!?
(this is the same woman who Did Not Hesitate to step in front of a dragon to protect her son even though it has been established from ep 1 that she does not like dragons!!!)
I’m not saying she’s perfect - she’s flawed like Literally Every Other Character in the show - but she does love her children and only wants the best for them.

so sorry but that post about "the reason boys and men are being radicalized is bc girls are mean to them" is driving me up the fucking wall. maybe i really am just on a different internet than the rest of you but. this sentiment of "women are being bitches who don't care about men and that's why there's Problems now" is like. such an alpha male podcast classic take. like it's literally "not all men". it doesn't magically become better bc u say stuff with liberal terminology. jesus christ

Genuinely can't believe JD Vance thought it was a good idea to denigrate childless women in that Fox News interview. Even putting my own opinion aside (which is, as you can probably guess, that we should respect women's decisions about their lives and that women have value beyond motherhood), it's objectively not politically smart to alienate a sizeable chunk of American voters. Implying that you believe a woman's role is to be a mother, especially in 2024 with the US birthrate in decline, doesn't go over well with a lot of people. Maybe that rhetoric doesn't ruffle too many feathers among people who are already planning to vote for Trump-Vance, but it definitely won't sit well with a number of undecided voters whose support they need to win. The Trump-Vance campaign is doing everything in their power to drive away female voters lmao

Bluey this, MLP that, if you don't introduce your child to umizoomies, PJ Masks, Lalaloopsy, Paw Patrol, and most importantly BUBBLE GUPPIES, consider yourself dead to me. And if you don't plan on having children then you better watch these because they are so wonderful and will forever be my favorite cartoons. I highly reccomend "Go Down To a Restaurant" from Bubble Guppies. It is my favorite song to this day and you should all listen to it.

One reason I think the "GlaDos/Caroline is actually Chell's mother because she sang Cara Mia" theory is bullshit is because I just know if the two characters were dudes everyone would be falling over themselves to yell about how gay and shippy it is

his mom is the smartest person in the entire drama because she ✅thinks Nayeon is dumb AF ✅doesn't believe in past lives like a sane person
and yet she's the one treated like a dumb lunatic... for being angry she wasn't told about her son's terminal illness? and for fussing over him... when he's in the hospital??

Was that first glance truly a gay little moment between Mizu and Akemi, or was she actually surprised (maybe even a little jealous?) that femininity could even look like that? Lavish, spoiled, seemingly loved or at least, something to be desired. I think it's pretty sure that she does not grasp how Akemi's life is a prison just as much as hers. That much is clear in their dialogues and her behavior towards her.
What if that dialogue (you, magical forest creature spoiling your good chances at a good life etc etc) was actually lowkey jealousy? of a life she herself would never get to experience as a woman? of being allowed to be a woman AND have a chance at happiness?

Prison labor as a legal excuse for slavery is abhorrent, but if you think abolishing chattel slavery was a waste of time or “nothing good happened” because prison labor exists you are SEVERELY underestimating just how evil chattel slavery was.
