Even in a more canon take of the story, I like to think that the Lamb saw Narinder and wanted to help him. An imprisoned god, left to rot. A second chance at life sure is nice, but the Lamb saw the god granting it and immediately wanted to help him. Sending food through the offering chest. Sacrificing followers to help give him energy and power. How long has it been since he has properly eaten? They wish they could make bandages big enough for his arms. Wish they had enough cloth to mend his clothes. Spending time with him when his pride allows it. The cult will be fine, let’s just enjoy each other’s company! Let’s talk. Teaching him games for him and his kits Aym and Baal to pass the time with. Do you enjoy knuckle bones? Card games? Tik tak toe? Bringing sketch books and drawing supplies for Aym and Baal. Do you enjoy reading? They’ll be happy to read books for you. Fictional or nonfictional? They can bring learning supplies for Aym and Baal! What are your thoughts on a chosen and willing disciple spending their afterlife teaching the kit’s different subjects like reading and math? Do they enjoy gifts like stuffed animals? They wish they could make gifts big enough for him. The moment he is free he is getting his arms wrapped in bandages and his clothes mended.

The lamb is fully aware of the sacrificing themselves situation. They have a plan! They hope their god doesn’t mind them borrowing their crown a little while longer to make the plan work. They hope he doesn’t mind the slight pain he might feel when tearing off the chains to free him. They hope the three cooperate, STAY STILL

(also as a note this early on Anthea, the Lamb, just assumes the twins are biologically Narinder's kits. The twins aren't actually blood related to him, but the lamb just took one look that first meeting after execution and assumed 'Yeah those two are his' and went with it. He's the twins' dad regardless though lol)

Does he have skeletal arms because of the chains rubbing up and down his arms from trying to get them off for a thousand years. How long did it take for his fur, skin, and flesh to rub away. How agonizing was it before his nerves were gone too? Did his imprisonment make him go insane from the isolation and physical pain he endured? How mentally stable was he when he was gifted Aym and Baal? What would he be like if he was never gifted Aym and Baal? What would the one who waits have become without his dear apprentices? Would he have been so willing to sacrifice the Lamb for precious freedom, or desperately holding on to the only social connection he has had in a thousand years? Would he have been willing to sacrifice himself and his godhood so he wouldn’t have to give up his precious Lamb? He wouldn’t have to give up his only friend and family he’s had in a thousand years. He wouldn’t have to give up his savior and partner. A completely insane zealous Narinder, a clingy and jealous Narinder, the most devoted follower of the Lamb. When the bishops come back to see their brother like this, how do you think they would feel?
