How to Stop Procrastinating by Managing Your Emotions
Procrastination happens when we delay doing things, and it's often connected to our emotions. Feelings like being afraid to fail, feeling worried or stressed, getting bored, or lacking motivation can all contribute to procrastination. To stop procrastinating and get more things done, it's important to learn how to handle our emotions better.
Boredom:
Break the task into smaller, more engaging sub-tasks.
Find ways to make the task more interesting or challenging.
Set a timer and work on the task for a specific amount of time, followed by a short break doing something enjoyable.
Feeling Overwhelmed:
Prioritize tasks and focus on one thing at a time.
Break the task into smaller, more manageable steps.
Delegate some parts of the task if possible or seek help from others.
Use tools like to-do lists or task management apps to stay organized.
Anxiety:
Practice deep breathing or mindfulness techniques to calm yourself.
Challenge negative thoughts and replace them with more positive and realistic ones.
Start with the easier or less intimidating aspects of the task to build momentum.
Set realistic expectations and remind yourself that it's okay to make mistakes.
Self-Doubt:
Focus on past accomplishments and successes to boost your confidence.
Seek support or feedback from others to gain reassurance.
Remind yourself of your skills and capabilities to tackle the task.
Use positive affirmations to counteract negative self-talk.
Perfectionism:
Embrace the concept of "good enough" rather than seeking perfection.
Set realistic and achievable goals for each task.
Recognize that mistakes and imperfections are part of the learning process and growth.
Indecisiveness:
Break decisions into smaller steps and make one small decision at a time.
Set a time limit for making decisions to avoid overthinking.
Trust your instincts and make the best decision you can with the information available.
Apathy or Lack of Interest:
Find aspects of the task that align with your values or long-term goals.
Break the task into smaller, more manageable parts and focus on completing one at a time.
Reward yourself for completing the task to make it more appealing.
Stress or Burnout:
Practice stress-reduction techniques such as meditation, exercise, or spending time in nature.
Break tasks into smaller steps to reduce the feeling of overwhelm.
Prioritize self-care and take breaks to avoid burnout.
Feeling Uninspired or Creatively Blocked:
Engage in activities that stimulate creativity, such as brainstorming, mind mapping, or seeking inspiration from others' work.
Start with a simple and basic version of the task to get the creative juices flowing.
Collaborate with others or seek feedback to gain new perspectives.
Fear of Success:
Identify and challenge the negative beliefs or fears that may be holding you back.
Visualize the positive outcomes of completing the task successfully.
Focus on the benefits and personal growth that come with success.
Impatience:
Break long-term goals into smaller milestones to track progress.
Practice mindfulness to stay present and patient throughout the process.
Remind yourself that progress takes time and effort.
Lack of Confidence:
Celebrate your past accomplishments to boost your confidence.
Seek support and encouragement from friends, family, or mentors.
Focus on building specific skills related to the task to increase confidence.
Avoiding Discomfort:
Acknowledge that discomfort is a natural part of growth and improvement.
Break tasks into smaller steps and tackle the more challenging aspects gradually.
Remind yourself of the long-term benefits of facing discomfort.
Overestimating Future Motivation:
Practice discipline and commit to starting tasks even when motivation is low.
Set specific deadlines for tasks to create a sense of urgency.
Establish a routine that includes regular work on the task to build consistency.

the monthly necessities⋆.ೃ࿔*:・📔🎀
Tumblr media
just some things like appointments, trips, dates that i like to plan before the beginning of each month so that i can set off on the right foot for a successful month.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
MANICURE AND PEDICURE ;
i like to schedule an appointment before the month starts to either get myself a new set or start fresh and let my nails breathe. i like to keep my toes done regularly because it just makes me feel so feminine and clean.
FACIALS AND OTHER TREATMENTS ;
things like a hair trim (you can designate a day to do it yourself or get it done professionally) and facials can keep you looking and feeling your best.
waxing appointments
getting ur brows or lashes done
facials
hair trimming
it’s important to set aside those dates because booking appointments and making time to groom and pamper yourself is something that u can easily sweep under the rug, especially if ur not in the habit of pampering urself.
IMPORTANT DATES ;
make sure to set out dates that you don’t wanna forget! like birthdays, lessons, tournaments and competitions. make sure to put the important things in ur monthly calendar.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
applications and deadlines also go in this category so make sure to include those in ur calendar because you don’t wanna forget those.
SOCIAL LIFE ;
set aside times to have dinner dates with ur friends, include the dates of parties and get togethers.
lunch date
dinner date
brunch
sleepovers etc
i try and keep at least one or two days where i can be fully available with my friends so we can keep friendship strong. this includes other social events so that then you can keep your social life alive and thriving!
ONE DAYS ;
one whole pamper/spa day (my tip is to do this on a saturday or a sunday)
one whole day without using social media
one day in which u spend time outdoors
one day to go somewhere that you never went before
one day to help someone else and be there for them
TIPS AND TRICKS ;
if ur putting everything into ur agenda or calendar and you somehow still manage to forget things, log things in ur alarm clock. for example if u have a daily alarm clock that rings at a certain time, write something along the lines of what you need to remember.
like if my alarm goes off at 6:00 am and it says “good morning beautiful” on important dates i’d write “good morning beautiful, you have an appointment at 9:00”. that way it’s like an active reminder.
do your best to make ur calendar and agenda aesthetically pleasing, i swear it makes you more productive and happy to get things done and be prepared.

My favorite organization habit is to color code everything!!
Recently I created rules in Outlook to automatically apply categories to incoming emails.
I created categories to group my incoming emails and I set up rules to do this automatically so I don't have to! I then sort my emails by categories. This organizes my inbox and helps to know at a quick glance what I have going on in my emails. This also allows you to color-code your meetings as well!
I have never known peace like this and it feels so good!

The plan: Introductory Post
Hello everyone!
I'm mostly writing this post to pin it to my blog page for those who visit.
The heart of this blog is tracking a website I will build from the ground up. This includes the front-end, back-end, UX/UI design, and any other planning/work that pops up.
For some context, around a year ago, I started practicing web development to make it my career. However, things turned out differently than expected. I got another job after having horrendous luck finding work. I really enjoy it, so it snuffed out my drive to find a career in web development.
However, I've always liked web development and programming in general. I've always wanted to use it, but I just didn't have any ideas I wanted to commit to. Now, I have a site that I feel I can turn into a full-fledged application, and I'd like to track it here for those interested and connect with others interested.
I've been on a six-month hiatus, so I'm pretty rusty, but I've decided I want to build the site using Svelte and Supabase. Svelte has always been the framework I wanted to learn, so this website is the perfect excuse. I also have experience with Firebase, but I wanted to challenge myself by learning Supabase. Most of my experience is with React and Next.js. I've used them for volunteer work and for freelancing gigs in the past.
I'll also give a brief summary of my website for common understanding. The MVP will start as a blog, but I plan to expand it to turn it into an informative database (sort of like Wikipedia) and have some interactive elements. I won't get into the meat of the idea, but that's what to expect with my posts. But before that, my posts will mostly be centered around a summary of my learning. Since I'm learning Svelte, my current posts will be based on that.
Thanks for stopping by, and I look forward to hearing your comments or insights moving forward! If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

A little over one month to 2025- LET´S GO
Hey beautiful people! It´s soon 2025 and I think everyone is ready to get their life and routines sorted out. Winter is here, but for most people, the winter months after Christmas are the hardest. This is the time to make space for what is coming in 2025 by releasing what no longer serves us!
Be real and honest about parts of your life that is working in your favor or not
That also includes people- if needed take a break or let go
Declutter your space
Declutter your mind; be real about the limiting beliefs on how you view yourself and your abilities. It´s time to align your mind with your goals.
Follow for some inspiration to better your life!
⋆꙳•̩̩❅*̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙*̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊꙳•̩̩͙❅*̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙*̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊꙳•̩̩͙❅*̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙*̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊꙳•̩̩͙❅*̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙*̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊⋆꙳•̩̩͙❅*̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙*̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊꙳•̩̩͙❅*̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙*̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊
Personally I´m going through some health struggles after a heat stroke while travelling so my goals this month will be smaller than usual. You on the other hand is a machine of a goddess and I encourage you to set some goals that matches you level.
My goals this month:
Take a walk everyday
Drink 3,5 liters of water daily
Diet: organ health focused
Take my suppliments (D- vitamin☀️, Ashwaganda, multi vitamin with iron and my B-complex stress vitamin with Magnesium)
Do writing exercises and journal prompts about life decisions and things I really need to give up in order to start building my dream life
Do a declutter challenge
Find a place to live so I can move out in January

Procrastination is a silent killer. Here's how to break this habit...
1. Accept the reality Understand that you're not disciplined.
It will help define your future.
And come up with a plan to fix this.
The first step to solving any problem is admitting it exists.
2. Establish reasonable goals.
It is scary to think about completing huge goals.
Breaking down huge accomplishments into digestible chunks will help.
Ex:-
• Finish a book by reading 10 pages per day By attaining these small goals, you will move closer to completion.
3. Organize your work Setting deadlines for your tasks will help you work more efficiently It will keep you motivated and excited about your task.
Make this happen, set
• Weekly/Monthly Tasks
This creates a sense of urgency and motivates you to work toward your goals
4. Focus your attention.
Try to complete simple activities first.
This will help you focus better.
It will strengthen you:
• Self-assurance
• Motivation
• Momentum Concentrate on tiny, specific activities.
5. Remove any potential distractions.
Distractions are simple to introduce whether it's your desk phone or the television in the background.
Make these:
• Create a workplace
• Turn off notifications
You don't need to check your phone every 5 minutes.
Improve yourself by 1% every day by subscribing to Thoguhts!
It helps you:
• Grow new perspectives
• Build good habits
• Earn self-improvement
Subscribe my newsletter that shares thoughts for being productive, self-improvement, and whatnot…

SYMPHYLANS, MY WEIRD JELLY CHILDREN <3
Not actually a baby centipede! I thought this was the case until I learned about symphylans in my gardening class and they are SO NEAT. This looks like a baby symphylan however, given the number of legs. Simply put, you found the BABIEST OF BABIES.

How To Plan Your Day 🌒📝💡✨
Start the night before. What do you need to do tomorrow to meet your needs? Write down the most important tasks you want to complete the next day. This gives you a clear starting point in the morning.
Create a morning routine that is focused on your well being. Exercise, meditate, read etc.
Make a list of all the things you need to do. Put the most important things at the top of the list.
Divide your day into chunks of time. Decide when you'll do each task.
Estimate the time it will take you to complete each task.
If a big task seems too hard, break it into smaller steps.
Batch the similar tasks together for maximum efficiency.
Try to do one thing at a time. Multitasking might not help you get things done better.
Don't plan too many things. Only plan what you can really do.
Check your progress during the day. Change your plans if things are not going as expected.
At the end of the day, think about what you did and what's left. Learn from what went well and what didn't.
Finish each day with a quick clean up. What can do you now to set up your spaces and routines for both self care and efficiency.
Choose what you'll wear the next day, including clothes, shoes, and accessories. This saves you time in the morning and helps you avoid last-minute outfit decisions.
If you have to take things with you (like a work bag or gym bag), pack it with everything you need. This prevents you from rushing around in the morning to gather your things.
Lay out items you'll need in the morning, like your keys, wallet, or important papers. This way, you won't have to search for them when you're in a rush.
Take some time to wind down before bed. Read a book, practice some light stretching, or do something relaxing to help you sleep better.
Charge your phone, tablet, or laptop overnight so you start the day with fully charged devices.
Set your alarm for the time you want to wake up. Having a consistent wake-up time helps regulate your body clock.
Try to avoid looking at screens (phones, tablets, computers) at least an hour before bed. The blue light from screens can interfere with sleep.
Take a moment to reflect on the day and think about what you're looking forward to tomorrow. Visualizing a positive morning can help set a good tone for the next day.
Pick a weekly prep day and clean the house, meal prep, review your calendar and to do list for the week ahead.

planning basics⋆.ೃ࿔*:・📔
Tumblr media
i feel like at this point im a planning MASTER i've been using notion to plan and organize my life for about two years now and before i discovered notion i used a manual planner. i've also made lots of content about planning but today i wanna just focus on the basics and how to organize ur life in a simpler fashion…💬🎀
Tumblr media Tumblr media
SEPARATE UR TIME INTO QUADRANTS ;
so i like to separate my tasks into quadrants. im going to try and present it verbally. so the first quadrant would be urgent and important, things that are imperative for me to do. the second quadrant is important but not urgent.
the third quadrant is urgent but not important but its not necessarily imperative that i do them. and last but not least the fourth quadrant is what i classify as buffer time, mostly cuz its neither urgent nor important. and i'll go more in detail with that later on in the post. this is helpful because it helps u to place priority on the tasks that u have to do and not spend a day doing side quests while u have pressing matters that need attending to. this is called the eisenhower matrix.
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CALENDAR AND AGENDA ;
so i keep a calendar and an agenda. the main differences between a calendar and an agenda is that the agenda is updated weekly, the calendar is updated monthly/whenever u make appointments.
i find myself looking at and checking my agenda more often then my calendar and thats mainly because im more in-depth on my agenda because im the kind of person who needs specific instructions to get something done. the calendar only tells u the date and the event but the agenda tells u more in depth about how to prepare and go about things.
DELEGATE AND OUTSOURCE TASKS ;
to delegate a task simply means to identify and give tasks that can be handled by others to free up ur time for more important work…💬🎀
GENERAL NOTION TIPS ;
use toggle lists
use THIS website for cute emoji combos (things like ❤︎ and ⋆.ೃ࿔*:・)
make a color scheme and stick with it
twitter headers work the same as notion backgrounds
GENERAL MANUAL AGENDA TIPS ;
color code tasks with adorable glitter gel pens. use post it notes to break down large tasks. like, write the broad task and on the underside of the post it note make a bullet list as u break down the task. mostly with manual agendas i just prioritize aesthetics because if it doesnt look good i won't wanna check it and perform it.

It’s challenging for me, but it’s fun to do something so creative - making videos on topics like this in a language I’m learning. It’s great practice, and I’m sure it will improve with time. 💗
