How to Stop Procrastinating by Managing Your Emotions
Procrastination happens when we delay doing things, and it's often connected to our emotions. Feelings like being afraid to fail, feeling worried or stressed, getting bored, or lacking motivation can all contribute to procrastination. To stop procrastinating and get more things done, it's important to learn how to handle our emotions better.
Boredom:
Break the task into smaller, more engaging sub-tasks.
Find ways to make the task more interesting or challenging.
Set a timer and work on the task for a specific amount of time, followed by a short break doing something enjoyable.
Feeling Overwhelmed:
Prioritize tasks and focus on one thing at a time.
Break the task into smaller, more manageable steps.
Delegate some parts of the task if possible or seek help from others.
Use tools like to-do lists or task management apps to stay organized.
Anxiety:
Practice deep breathing or mindfulness techniques to calm yourself.
Challenge negative thoughts and replace them with more positive and realistic ones.
Start with the easier or less intimidating aspects of the task to build momentum.
Set realistic expectations and remind yourself that it's okay to make mistakes.
Self-Doubt:
Focus on past accomplishments and successes to boost your confidence.
Seek support or feedback from others to gain reassurance.
Remind yourself of your skills and capabilities to tackle the task.
Use positive affirmations to counteract negative self-talk.
Perfectionism:
Embrace the concept of "good enough" rather than seeking perfection.
Set realistic and achievable goals for each task.
Recognize that mistakes and imperfections are part of the learning process and growth.
Indecisiveness:
Break decisions into smaller steps and make one small decision at a time.
Set a time limit for making decisions to avoid overthinking.
Trust your instincts and make the best decision you can with the information available.
Apathy or Lack of Interest:
Find aspects of the task that align with your values or long-term goals.
Break the task into smaller, more manageable parts and focus on completing one at a time.
Reward yourself for completing the task to make it more appealing.
Stress or Burnout:
Practice stress-reduction techniques such as meditation, exercise, or spending time in nature.
Break tasks into smaller steps to reduce the feeling of overwhelm.
Prioritize self-care and take breaks to avoid burnout.
Feeling Uninspired or Creatively Blocked:
Engage in activities that stimulate creativity, such as brainstorming, mind mapping, or seeking inspiration from others' work.
Start with a simple and basic version of the task to get the creative juices flowing.
Collaborate with others or seek feedback to gain new perspectives.
Fear of Success:
Identify and challenge the negative beliefs or fears that may be holding you back.
Visualize the positive outcomes of completing the task successfully.
Focus on the benefits and personal growth that come with success.
Impatience:
Break long-term goals into smaller milestones to track progress.
Practice mindfulness to stay present and patient throughout the process.
Remind yourself that progress takes time and effort.
Lack of Confidence:
Celebrate your past accomplishments to boost your confidence.
Seek support and encouragement from friends, family, or mentors.
Focus on building specific skills related to the task to increase confidence.
Avoiding Discomfort:
Acknowledge that discomfort is a natural part of growth and improvement.
Break tasks into smaller steps and tackle the more challenging aspects gradually.
Remind yourself of the long-term benefits of facing discomfort.
Overestimating Future Motivation:
Practice discipline and commit to starting tasks even when motivation is low.
Set specific deadlines for tasks to create a sense of urgency.
Establish a routine that includes regular work on the task to build consistency.

the monthly necessities⋆.ೃ࿔*:・📔🎀
just some things like appointments, trips, dates that i like to plan before the beginning of each month so that i can set off on the right foot for a successful month.
MANICURE AND PEDICURE ;
i like to schedule an appointment before the month starts to either get myself a new set or start fresh and let my nails breathe. i like to keep my toes done regularly because it just makes me feel so feminine and clean.
FACIALS AND OTHER TREATMENTS ;
things like a hair trim (you can designate a day to do it yourself or get it done professionally) and facials can keep you looking and feeling your best.
waxing appointments
getting ur brows or lashes done
facials
hair trimming
it’s important to set aside those dates because booking appointments and making time to groom and pamper yourself is something that u can easily sweep under the rug, especially if ur not in the habit of pampering urself.
IMPORTANT DATES ;
make sure to set out dates that you don’t wanna forget! like birthdays, lessons, tournaments and competitions. make sure to put the important things in ur monthly calendar.
applications and deadlines also go in this category so make sure to include those in ur calendar because you don’t wanna forget those.
SOCIAL LIFE ;
set aside times to have dinner dates with ur friends, include the dates of parties and get togethers.
lunch date
dinner date
brunch
sleepovers etc
i try and keep at least one or two days where i can be fully available with my friends so we can keep friendship strong. this includes other social events so that then you can keep your social life alive and thriving!
ONE DAYS ;
one whole pamper/spa day (my tip is to do this on a saturday or a sunday)
one whole day without using social media
one day in which u spend time outdoors
one day to go somewhere that you never went before
one day to help someone else and be there for them
TIPS AND TRICKS ;
if ur putting everything into ur agenda or calendar and you somehow still manage to forget things, log things in ur alarm clock. for example if u have a daily alarm clock that rings at a certain time, write something along the lines of what you need to remember.
like if my alarm goes off at 6:00 am and it says “good morning beautiful” on important dates i’d write “good morning beautiful, you have an appointment at 9:00”. that way it’s like an active reminder.
do your best to make ur calendar and agenda aesthetically pleasing, i swear it makes you more productive and happy to get things done and be prepared.

My favorite organization habit is to color code everything!!
Recently I created rules in Outlook to automatically apply categories to incoming emails.
I created categories to group my incoming emails and I set up rules to do this automatically so I don't have to! I then sort my emails by categories. This organizes my inbox and helps to know at a quick glance what I have going on in my emails. This also allows you to color-code your meetings as well!
I have never known peace like this and it feels so good!

SYMPHYLANS, MY WEIRD JELLY CHILDREN <3
Not actually a baby centipede! I thought this was the case until I learned about symphylans in my gardening class and they are SO NEAT. This looks like a baby symphylan however, given the number of legs. Simply put, you found the BABIEST OF BABIES.
BABY CENTIPEDE 🥹
#ADDITIONAL STUFF IN TAGS BECAUSE THEYRE NEAT#in large numbers symphylans can be significant garden pests#they eat developing seeds and root hairs which can affect plant growth#in balanced numbers however they contribute to overall soil health as they also take part in decomposing organic materials#they are more commonly found in clay soils and their tiny bodies navigate through the small air pockets#they are also known as garden centipedes or pseudocentipedes and they are in their own class in myriapoda#they also apparently live a long time like several years????#they also don't have eyes#symphyla#myriapoda

State of the Postal Sector.
The UPU also took the opportunity at the Extraordinary Congress to launch its first State of the Postal Sector report, which identified a clear causal link between countries’ postal development and national economic growth, particularly in times of economic shocks and crises. The report compared postal development scores with the growth in real GDP and found a strong correlation between the levels of postal development and the intensity of post-pandemic economic recovery, meaning a well-functioning postal network led to greater economic recovery after the global health crisis. A calculation presented in the report clearly shows that, without postal services, a country’s GDP would fall by nearly 7%, highlighting postal services’ essential role in sustainable national economic performance
The UPU Director General said that the report’s findings should “serve as a clarion call for governments and other stakeholders to partner with and invest in the growth of the postal sector.” He added: “Like many threads coming together to form a strong and resilient fabric, collaboration and partnerships will weave the fabric of our postal future.” The report also provided a comprehensive overview of the postal sector’s existing landscape, challenges, innovations, and potential avenues for the future. In Riyadh, the UPU recognized the countries that showed the most promising development over the previous year during a dedicated awards ceremony. Achieving the highest of 10 postal development levels in the UPU’s Integrated Index for Postal Development (2IPD) were Austria, France, Germany, Japan, and Switzerland, with the Swiss postal service achieving the highest 2IPD score for the seventh consecutive year in 2022. Acknowledged as rising stars for their standout, year-on-year postal development level increase were Oman, Slovenia, and Uzbekistan. Brazil, China, Estonia, Ethiopia and Morocco were acknowledged as postal development leaders in their respective regions.The Extraordinary Congress also provided a platform for the UPU’s Strategy Summit, which convened ministers, heads of postal regulators and postal CEOs to discuss the UPU’s strategy for 2026-2029 under the theme: “People, Progress and Purpose: The Next Chapter for the Postal Sector."

How To Plan Your Day 🌒📝💡✨
Start the night before. What do you need to do tomorrow to meet your needs? Write down the most important tasks you want to complete the next day. This gives you a clear starting point in the morning.
Create a morning routine that is focused on your well being. Exercise, meditate, read etc.
Make a list of all the things you need to do. Put the most important things at the top of the list.
Divide your day into chunks of time. Decide when you'll do each task.
Estimate the time it will take you to complete each task.
If a big task seems too hard, break it into smaller steps.
Batch the similar tasks together for maximum efficiency.
Try to do one thing at a time. Multitasking might not help you get things done better.
Don't plan too many things. Only plan what you can really do.
Check your progress during the day. Change your plans if things are not going as expected.
At the end of the day, think about what you did and what's left. Learn from what went well and what didn't.
Finish each day with a quick clean up. What can do you now to set up your spaces and routines for both self care and efficiency.
Choose what you'll wear the next day, including clothes, shoes, and accessories. This saves you time in the morning and helps you avoid last-minute outfit decisions.
If you have to take things with you (like a work bag or gym bag), pack it with everything you need. This prevents you from rushing around in the morning to gather your things.
Lay out items you'll need in the morning, like your keys, wallet, or important papers. This way, you won't have to search for them when you're in a rush.
Take some time to wind down before bed. Read a book, practice some light stretching, or do something relaxing to help you sleep better.
Charge your phone, tablet, or laptop overnight so you start the day with fully charged devices.
Set your alarm for the time you want to wake up. Having a consistent wake-up time helps regulate your body clock.
Try to avoid looking at screens (phones, tablets, computers) at least an hour before bed. The blue light from screens can interfere with sleep.
Take a moment to reflect on the day and think about what you're looking forward to tomorrow. Visualizing a positive morning can help set a good tone for the next day.
Pick a weekly prep day and clean the house, meal prep, review your calendar and to do list for the week ahead.

planning basics⋆.ೃ࿔*:・📔
i feel like at this point im a planning MASTER i've been using notion to plan and organize my life for about two years now and before i discovered notion i used a manual planner. i've also made lots of content about planning but today i wanna just focus on the basics and how to organize ur life in a simpler fashion…💬🎀
SEPARATE UR TIME INTO QUADRANTS ;
so i like to separate my tasks into quadrants. im going to try and present it verbally. so the first quadrant would be urgent and important, things that are imperative for me to do. the second quadrant is important but not urgent.
the third quadrant is urgent but not important but its not necessarily imperative that i do them. and last but not least the fourth quadrant is what i classify as buffer time, mostly cuz its neither urgent nor important. and i'll go more in detail with that later on in the post. this is helpful because it helps u to place priority on the tasks that u have to do and not spend a day doing side quests while u have pressing matters that need attending to. this is called the eisenhower matrix.
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CALENDAR AND AGENDA ;
so i keep a calendar and an agenda. the main differences between a calendar and an agenda is that the agenda is updated weekly, the calendar is updated monthly/whenever u make appointments.
i find myself looking at and checking my agenda more often then my calendar and thats mainly because im more in-depth on my agenda because im the kind of person who needs specific instructions to get something done. the calendar only tells u the date and the event but the agenda tells u more in depth about how to prepare and go about things.
DELEGATE AND OUTSOURCE TASKS ;
to delegate a task simply means to identify and give tasks that can be handled by others to free up ur time for more important work…💬🎀
GENERAL NOTION TIPS ;
use toggle lists
use THIS website for cute emoji combos (things like ❤︎ and ⋆.ೃ࿔*:・)
make a color scheme and stick with it
twitter headers work the same as notion backgrounds
GENERAL MANUAL AGENDA TIPS ;
color code tasks with adorable glitter gel pens. use post it notes to break down large tasks. like, write the broad task and on the underside of the post it note make a bullet list as u break down the task. mostly with manual agendas i just prioritize aesthetics because if it doesnt look good i won't wanna check it and perform it.

Take-Two Closes Rollerdrome And Kerbal Space Program 2 Studios While Majority Of Private Division Laid Off
New Post has been published on https://thedigitalinsider.com/take-two-closes-rollerdrome-and-kerbal-space-program-2-studios-while-majority-of-private-division-laid-off/
Take-Two Closes Rollerdrome And Kerbal Space Program 2 Studios While Majority Of Private Division Laid Off
Update, 2:47 p.m., May 2, 2024:
Earlier today, we learned that Take-Two Interactive, the company-publisher behind the Grand Theft Auto series, had closed Rollerdrome studio Roll7 and Kerbal Space Program 2 studio Intercept Games. Both of those games, and many others including the recently released No Rest for the Wicked, were published by Private Division, an indie-publishing arm under Take-Two.
Now, in a new update from GamesIndustry.biz, the publication reports that Take-Two has shuttered the “vast majority” of Private Division’s teams in Seattle, New York, Las Vegas, and Munich, according to one of its sources. When GamesIndustry.biz reached out to Take-Two for confirmation, the company issued the same statement that can be read in Game Informer’s original story below.
The original story continues below…
Original story, 9:48 a.m., May 2, 2024:
Take-Two Interactive, the company behind games like Grand Theft Auto V that also acquired mobile giant Zynga in 2022 in the second-biggest deal in games history, has closed Roll7 and Intercept Games, the studios behind Rollerdrome and Kerbal Space Program 2, respectively. After a report from GameDeveloper.com indicated Take-Two was laying off 70 people at Intercept Games, Bloomberg released a report confirming that Take-Two was shuttering both Intercept Games and Roll7.
The publication reports that Take-Two is closing the London-based Roll7 and offering severance to staff. A notice filed with the Washington State Employment Security Department indicates that Take-Two is planning to close a Seattle-based studio with 70 employees, which aligns with Intercept Games’ employee count and location.
[embedded content]
While Take-Two hasn’t yet addressed the closures, it gave the following statement to IGN regarding the layoffs and the status of Kerbal Space Program 2, which launched into Early Access last year.
“On April 16, Take-Two announced a cost reduction program to identify efficiencies across its business and to enhance the Company’s margin profile while still investing for growth. As part of these efforts, the Company is rationalizing its pipeline and eliminating several projects in development and streamlining its organization structure, which will eliminate headcount and reduce future hiring needs. The company is not providing additional details.
“On April 18, Private Division successfully launched Moon Studio’s No Rest for the Wicked. The label continues to make updates to Kerbal Space Program 2 and plans to release Wētā Workshop Game Studio’s Tales of the Shire: A Lord of the Rings game in the second half of 2024.”
These closures arrive roughly a month after Take-Two announced it was laying off 5% (579 employees) at its various companies while canceling projects in the works. The publisher also acquired Gearbox Entertainment in late March. Roll7 won a BAFTA award for Rollerdrome last year and also developed 2022’s OlliOlli World.
The hearts of the Game Informer staff are with everyone who’s been affected by layoffs or closures.
