Cajun pasta;
Spice mix; 1 teaspoon each of the following.
Smoked paprika
Onion powder
Garlic powder
White pepper
Black pepper
Sea salt
Oregano
This will be used to season any chicken, sausage, shrimp or tofu You’re adding to the dish as well as the sauce.
In a large skillet cook and season your choice of protein, cook fully and set aside. While your choice of pasta boils, finely dice a shallot.
Roughly Chop and de-seed whole yellow or red bell pepper along with a fresh tomato, I remove the core, seeds and skin from my tomato before chopping.
Drain your pasta and set aside to cool. In a LARGE heated skillet melt some butter about tea-tablespoons worth along with a teaspoon or a squeeze worth of tomato paste and the diced shallot. Let it cook down for five to ten minutes depends on how hot your pan is.
Add in a cup and a half of heavy cream, your protein, and your vegetables. Let the heavy cream come to a steady bubble stirring occasionally before adding 2/3 cup of Parmesan cheese and the rest of your spice mixture. Mix and let it come to a bubble again before adding in your pasta and mixing it very well together.
Boom baby it’s literally that easy! Pro tip I used pre cooked grilled chicken from the grocery store and just seasoned it up in a pan at home.

spring semester refresh

i cleaned and cleansed my house and helped clean and then cleansed my fiancé’s apartment because i was on a roll apparently. the simmer pot was used at his house since he is sensitive to smoke. i usually smoke cleanse my place and less often use simmer pots, but he likes those. i also came back from work one day and bought him flowers as you can see the purple tulips there, and turns out he had also left me flowers at my house to go home to, but we made plans for me to stay at his house that night. i just thought it was cute that we both bought flowers for each other the same day without the other knowing!
regarding the refresh, my main project was cleaning my depression room and reorganizing my desk since i hadn’t put away a bunch of stuff that was sitting in the middle of my floor. I cleaned up my room, did all my laundry so everything is fresh, made a money bowl, ordered and received some new oils and trinkets, and now i’m working on making some more workings for more specific intentions.
Classes kicked off Monday, so i’ve been busy all week with class and studying and of course working my practice into it all. I feel like i’m in a comfortable place right now where i’m not stretching my energy thin to practice my craft AND study my schoolwork
“everything is working out for me” as my my fiancé and i say (our little manifestation saying)

How to make homemade Focaccia Bread
Ingredients
Olive oil
Rosemary from the garden
Room temperature water
Yeast
1 1/2 teaspoons of sugar
All-purpose flour
Salt
Utensils
Oven
Tray
Baking paper
Small mixing bowl
Large mixing bowl
Clean damp tea towel (or plastic bag)
Measuring cups
Teaspoon size
Wooden spoon
Steps – Prior to cooking
Activate the yeast by lightly whisking together the warm water, rapid rise yeast and sugar in a small mixing bowl
Set aside to let it rise for 5 - 10 minutes, or until bubbles appear on surface
Steps – Part 1
Whisk together the flour, oil and yeast mixture in a large mixing bowl
Set aside for roughly 3 minutes to rest
mix the remaining flour and salt with your hands and begin kneading the dough for 5 minutes.
Set aside for roughly 45 minutes to rest with a clean damp tea towel  resting on top (or in a plastic bag) 
Steps – Part 2
Pre-heat oven to 210c
Transfer dough to the baking pan and spread it out evenly
Use your fingers to poke the dough leaving dimples every few centimetres 
Brush remaining oil on top of dough, and place some rosemary in the dimples
Bake for 25 minutes until lightly browned.
Enjoy!

Depression grocery shopping because everyone should have access to something to eat even when they’re depressed. vegan and GF friendly
Protein shakes (Owyn & Vega brand)
Ensure shakes (non Vegan & GF)
Overnight oats (Mush is Vegan and GF, as well as the brand overnight)
Protein pop tarts (GF I’m not sure if they’re vegan)
Lunchables (they make vegan ones)
Small vegetable snack trays
Small snack trays
Tuna/chicken pouches from starkiss (they come in flavors and pouches which is easier and a great protein source. They make vegan tuna cans)
Protein bars (No cow and Aloha brand)
Uncrustables (they’re not vegan or GF, they have peanut butter and jelly in them)
Anything frozen that can be microwaved or air fried (chicken nuggets, mozzarella sticks, Jamaican beef patties, pizza bagels, tv dinners, etc)
Ramen cups/bowls (they’re easier and can be made in the microwave)
Just because someone is depressed doesn’t mean they don’t want help some people just don’t know how or where to look. The road to recovery starts small, even if that first step is a grocery list.
