turns out how not to be deficient in fat in your diet is to stop eating only low fat versions of foods
#i was scared of being hungry unfortunately and didnt want to change my diet to more calorie dense stuff out of fear of like hunger related#mood swings which i get badly now which i didnt used to which is awesome i totally love feeling like a half starved half mad dog if my lunc#is like half an hour late#i will not eat like regular ice cream but y'know. cheeses. yogurt thats abt it i eat the same 9 ingredients in rotation#apples cauliflower cottage cheese cabbage sardines carrots broccoli tomatoes uhhhh monster energy drinks#i mean other stuff too sometimes but those r the staples#if i could go raw vegan without dying i probably would just bcs its easier#that list is kind of pathetic and depressing but idk man what's a guy to do#i do worry about it not being varied enough and missing micronutrients and stuff but like yknow ive always been a very unadventurous eater#eating the same things day in day out years on end and ive always been like fine lol it's just a less heavy carb selection these days which#like im pretty sure all that you need xyz amount of grains a day is a total psyop by the corn and wheat us subsidies i don't think you need#that shit just like how you dont need milk.

vegan moral opposition to leather is so fucking stupid like, listen, that animal is gonna be killed anyways, you are quite literally never going to convince everyone to stop eating meat/dairy/eggs/etc, and even if you somehow did it'd be ecologically disasterous, humans are an omnivourous species that can have a symbiotic relationship with the animals around them, but thats been fucked over by industrialisation, urbanisation, and capitalism, which are all things we can fix, instead of magically expecting most or all of the population to somehow abanon entire food groups that provide multiple nutrients and let both livestock and predator populations go wholly unchecked, which in turn will wreak havoc on agriculture and the ocean and the rest of the environment, so like if we're gonna be killing animals to eat them anyways, since its pretty damn important for us and them that we do at least sometimes, the fucking least we can do is use as much of the animal as is possible, which includes making leather out of it, which need i remind everyone is also far more sustainable and enviromentally concious than that microplastic pleather bullshit that barely lasts 5 years
#like yeah no fucking shit killing animal JUST for leather is wasteful i totally get having a moral opposition to that#since i DO have a fucking moral opposition to that#but a moral opposition to leather in general is actually so mind numbingly brain meltingly astronomically stupid#i mean veganism as moral ideology is fucking stupid in general#but the whole leather thing is barely above those ppl who think that beekeeping is animal abuse#i feel the need to clarify: im not dunking on veganism as a cultural and/or religious diet#or even like. just a personal diet.#at the end of the day if u wanna eat/live vegan then u do u. it literally Does Not Effect Me#but what i AM clowning on is veganism as a moral stance#because its unsustainable anti-intellectual uninformed self agrandising bullshit#og post //

WIEIAD ~
Baked sweet potato on buttered wheat toast and a dash of cinnamon
Crispy tofu with roasted summer squash and brussel sprouts topped with pesto hummus
Beans & rice with roasted chickpeas, fresh kale, and 1/2 an avocado
Mango and blueberry protein shake
I’m sure other people have done it before but I had never heard of sweet potato toast when I decided to try it! Been trying to get more vitamin A but I hate carrots and didn’t want to just bite into a big ass sweet potato. So, I smooshed it onto some toast! Highly recommend, reminds me of cinnamon toast my mom used to make for me before school.
The beans & rice is just a veganization of Chef John’s Best Beans and Rice + chickpeas and kale. And it truly is the best. Literally all I had to do is replace chicken stock with vegetable stock lol. Lunch was just breaded tofu (super easy) and frozen vegetables from Pictsweet Farms. The pesto hummus was left overs.
Lazy day of eating! Nothing fancy but still so good 😋

Also I decided that veganism is something that aligns with the type of lifestyle and goals and like morality I want so I’m a vegan now (I started at the beginning of this month and it’s been okay since I don’t really cook meals for myself anymore anyways so I’m accidentally doing the whole raw vegan thing)🥂✨

*Mindful Eating* - Day 5
05.01.2024
Today was my first day of working this year. I have a job in a bar and I feel like this complicates my mindful eating project. They only have fast food, but I need to eat something there because my shifts are too long to go without - and its for free, which I appreciate a lot. I am still a broke student. I also find it difficult to not drink any alcohol or sweet beverages there, and I go to bed on weird times. It really fucks with establishing some kind of rhythm. One good thing today was the nice walk I did. I completed my 10k steps per day in a beautiful park close to my home.
