@confused-they if you're in the US, look for an AAFCO-tested - not just formulated, but tested - dog food. Purina I know makes at least one grain-free AAFCO feeding trialed food. ultimately though fed is best, so if your dog is eating it and seems happy and healthy, that's great! keep doing that! and as far as I know the only real concern with grain-free is dietary DCM, so feel free to look up the symptoms and keep an eye out if you think that'll help with your anxiety. also 'boutique brands'/designer brands covers most dog food brands minus Purina, Hills, Iams, Eukanuba, Royal Canin.
also-also unsolicited advice - we found Cytopoint to be extremely helpful in managing our dog's itchiness, and he got 3-5 months out of each injection so it was cheaper than Apoquel, but he was a 75lb dog so that might not be true in smaller dogs? either way we settled on diet + Cytopoint and it kept him almost totally itch-free. good luck with your dog!
Hi there! I saw your post about pet diets and it seemed like you are semi-knowledgeable. So one of my dogs is allergic to wheat. He gets really bad rashes and his hair starts falling out. Because of this, we look for wheat-free pet food. Is that ok? Will it do him harm? He's been on it for a while but he's getting older and I don't want to see him get sick from something preventable. Afaik we don't buy any designer brands or anything like that. The vet also hasn't said anything. I just got really worried and wanted a second opinion. Thanks and have a good day

Poor sweet old thing. Allergies suck so bad.
If your vet knows what kind of food it is and hasn't expressed any concern, but you're still worried about it, go ahead and double check with them about the specific food. I wouldn't try to self-manage something as difficult as allergies all on your own just through research.
If you're not already seeing one but could afford to, and feel like his discomfort is not being managed well enough, a referral to an allergist might really help. Dogs especially have such a hard time with allergies. :(
A veterinary nutritionist can also be helpful, if your vet feels like that could be a good alternate option. The one I was referred to was really helpful with recommendations of specific foods to help my undersized and slightly underdeveloped kittens catch up.

May 17-24 2024
President Biden wiped out the student loan debt of 160,000 more Americans. This debt cancellation of 7.7 billion dollars brings the total student loan debt relieved by the Biden Administration to $167 billion. The Administration has canceled student loan debt for 4.75 million Americans so far. The 160,000 borrowers forgiven this week owned an average of $35,000 each and are now debt free. The Administration announced plans last month to bring debt forgiveness to 30 million Americans with student loans coming this fall.
The Department of Justice announced it is suing Ticketmaster for being a monopoly. DoJ is suing Ticketmaster and its parent company Live Nation for monopolistic practices. Ticketmaster controls 70% of the live show ticket market leading to skyrocketing prices, hidden fees and last minute cancellation. The Justice Department is seeking to break up Live Nation and help bring competition back into the market. This is one of a number of monopoly law suits brought by the Biden administration against Apple in March and Amazon in September 2023.
The EPA announced $225 million in new funding to improve drinking and wastewater for tribal communities. The money will go to tribes in the mainland US as well as Alaska Native Villages. It'll help with testing for forever chemicals, and replacing of lead pipes as well as sustainability projects.
The EPA announced $300 million in grants to clean up former industrial sites. Known as "Brownfield" sites these former industrial sites are to be cleaned and redeveloped into community assets. The money will fund 200 projects across 178 communities. One such project will transform a former oil station in Philadelphia’s Kingsessing neighborhood, currently polluted with lead and other toxins into a waterfront bike trail.
The Department of Agriculture announced a historic expansion of its program to feed low income kids over the summer holidays. Since the 1960s the SUN Meals have served in person meals at schools and community centers during the summer holidays to low income children. This Year the Biden administration is rolling out SUN Bucks, a $120 per child grocery benefit. This benefit has been rejected by many Republican governors but in the states that will take part 21 million kids will benefit. Last year the Biden administration introduced SUN Meals To-Go, offering pick-up and delivery options expanding SUN's reach into rural communities. These expansions are part of the Biden administration's plan to end hunger and reduce diet-related disease by 2030.
Vice-President Harris builds on her work in Africa to announce a plan to give 80% of Africa internet access by 2030, up from just 40% today. This push builds off efforts Harris has spearheaded since her trip to Africa in 2023, including $7 billion in climate adaptation, resilience, and mitigation, and $1 billion to empower women. The public-private partnership between the African Development Bank Group and Mastercard plans to bring internet access to 3 million farmers in Kenya, Tanzania, and Nigeria, before expanding to Uganda, Ethiopia, and Ghana, and then the rest of the continent, bring internet to 100 million people and businesses over the next 10 years. This is together with the work of Partnership for Digital Access in Africa which is hoping to bring internet access to 80% of Africans by 2030, up from 40% now, and just 30% of women on the continent. The Vice-President also announced $1 billion for the Women in the Digital Economy Fund to assure women in Africa have meaningful access to the internet and its economic opportunities.
The Senate approved Seth Aframe to be a Judge on the US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, it also approved Krissa Lanham, and Angela Martinez to district Judgeships in Arizona, as well as Dena Coggins to a district court seat in California. Bring the total number of judges appointed by President Biden to 201. Biden's Judges have been historically diverse. 64% of them are women and 62% of them are people of color. President Biden has appointed more black women to federal judgeships, more Hispanic judges and more Asian American judges and more LGBT judges than any other President, including Obama's full 8 years in office. President Biden has also focused on backgrounds appointing a record breaking number of former public defenders to judgeships, as well as labor and civil rights lawyers.

BEFORE ANYTHING…
Before starting ANYTHING off new this year, I really just wanted to take time and reflect on what I did well and what I need to work on next year and also what I’ve LEARNED this year to make a game plan.
For example, some things I’ve noticed this year that I need to work on is better time management, balance between work and life, taking more time for my mental health, and pushing myself more towards my goals.
I recently also read a post about resetting before 2025, which I think is helpful. I’ll link it right here.
ENVISIONING THE YEAR
for me, setting an expectation is SO important. It just defines everything I want to have and accomplish, it lets me believe that my desires can be attained and really just cultivates that kind of positive mindset I need going into the new years.
Here are ways I’m currently making space for that vision for the big 2025.
♡ vision boards
(could be about beauty, manifesting, money, studying, or a combination! whatever you’d like, but I’d recommend not sharing to keep that energy private to you. it’s important to move in silence.)
♡ inner work
(maybe some difficult events have happened this year or recently. it’s important to go into 2025 releasing everything negative and leaving all grudges behind. 2025 is a NEW year. let’s make sure our mental is great now so that we can charge into 2025 ready to go.)
♡ self care time
♡ social media detox
♡ planning new smart goals
♡ stricter mental diet

START NOW
guys, you’re gonna have to trust me when I say START NOW. of course your resolution isn’t officially in effect til the start of January, but PLS. start now while your motivation is here or even if you aren’t motivated. START working out, start taking those little steps to move like your dream self, DO IT.
The problem is that usually a “new years resolution” person will give up after not even a week of being in it, so START now. Give yourself the space to make mistakes and work out those kinks NOW so you can really go into the new year feeling refreshed and ready to conquer every single one of your goals.
HARSH MOTIVATION

I saw this quote on my feed and it really resonated with me, because I want to pursue a career in nursing. It made me think of all the people who are studying hard right now and doing pre-med programs right now to be two steps ahead and really excel in their performance as a nurse. And what am I doing? Slacking.
No more slacking in 2025! I have to realize this and tell you this, that nobody is holding your hand anymore! It’s just you versus the world. What will you do to succeed? You need to act NOW while you’re realizing this, or be left behind. That’s just the way things work.
Take that time to yourself. Take that time to reflect, think, and rebuild your self concept for the beginning of the new years. This is YOUR moment. This is YOUR year. YOU’RE her, so start acting like it.

• You didn't want to go on a diet because that would mean not going to your favourite bakery, seeing the cute baker and eating his delicious treats.
• The mouthwatering pastries and cakes are now replaced by veggies, fruits and nutritional food.
• It has been a huge record that you have not gone to the bakery since 5 days.
• Your absence made yan worried about you and sad.
• "Are my baking skills not good now?" He thought while waiting for you but you didn't came.
• He would look at you through bakery glass wall jogging in morning. He would come out and call out for you "Y/n I just baked your favourite pastry, come inside and let's have a taste." While holding the tray with mouthwatering pastries at you.
The aroma, the beautiful texture tempted you but you would just start running away yelling "Next time yan right now busy exercising".
• This made him incredible sad thinking "what will I do now if my y/n isn't eating my pastries and cakes?"
• Will definitely cry for hours in his bakery sitting alone in a corner.
• Going crazy thinking "are my baking skills not enough now? Does she not like me anymore now? I baked her favourite and yet she refused, this is not my y/n."
• Enough is enough he goes to your home one day ringing the bell like a maniac with a box filled with your favourites. Wanting to know why his favourite customer isn't coming anymore????!!!!!
•You opened the door and invited him inside explaining the whole weight gain thing.
• He is just shocked looking at you with unbelievable expression. You and getting fat? IMPOSSIBLE.
• According to him you are absolutely perfect and not at all chubby, fat, skinny or anything.
• Thinks of beating that co worker who made you think you are gaining weight. Even though he is not a violence person.
• According to him you are not gaining weight you are just becoming more healthy with his love which he is pouring on you through his baked goods.
• He tries to convince you that you are not gaining weight and you need to come to bakery as usual.
• But when you don't agree he comes with a plan.
• This man starts a new section in his bakery with title "SUGAR FREE BAKED GOODS" which has no sugar and is made from only healthy stuffs only. Like sugar free bananas muffins, oatmeal cookies which health influencer shows on their channel even though it is totally against his baking ethics. But this man would do anything for you. For you to eat his food. After all this man's love language is feeding you his handmade food.
• His bakery now has oatmeal cookies, apple donuts which is nothing but fruits cutted and some healthy toppings on it. Making all this in his bakery even though he hates it as he loves making stuff filled with cream, toppings, chocolate etc.
• But he will do anything to have you back at bakery and eat.
• His sale increased as he was selling both cream fillied delicious pastries and healthy sugar free things made from apples and berries and oatmeal etc.
• His bakery was all over the internet viral through health influencer videos you followed which made you go to the bakery too.
• You ate the healthy stuff and even complimented him on this new business ideas of his (only if you knew that he started all this for you)
• He was happy that you would come sometimes at bakery for the healthy stuff now.
• But he was not elated as you were not coming everyday and eating those baked stuff which made you happy.
• He would come with you on morning joggings to be near you.
• After a month with your exercise and dieting you loss a good amount of weight. Which made you happy.
• Upon your success in weight lossing he gave you a small cupcake of your favourite icing.
"Come on y/n I made it for your celebration on losing weight. I wanted to make a cake but I know you won't eat it so I made a little cupcake. And come on all the health influencers says you should reward yourself with a little treat after work. And a little cupcake won't hurt." He said manipulating you with his puppy eyes and pretty words.
And the cupcake he made for you looks so tempting that you ate it thinking a little cupcake won't hurt. You ate it and felt like you were in heaven again eating it after a month. You missed all this so bad!!!
• Well you have fallen again now in his sweet baked trap coming everyday eating crossiant, pastry, cake while yan tells you " a little won't hurt y/n you have already loss weight and you also eat the nutritious food I made it's all balance" he says while feeding you his delicious treats being happy that you are back to eating his baked goods.
• Seems like you are never gonna be able to escape his pastries and the good looking baker who makes it.

!!never say that healthy eating is unachievable for students. this is a horrible mindset that will no doubt affirm the problem.

antpelt is mistakenly listed as from shadowclan in battles of the clans, and the wiki had him as a different character for a while. he also has an unnamed apprentice
shredtail is also mistakenly listed in shadowclan during bramblestar's storm
I am absolutely at the point where I'm willing to make absolutely ABSURD stretches. I'm affectionately calling all the extra cats I'm scrounging up from writer mistakes and background scenes "ShadowClan's Glitch Warriors." Thank you so much for pointing these three out, they're going in the list.
Suddenly, I was struck with an absolutely hilarious idea. Partner wanted something fun to draw but still has read absolutely nothing about Warriors, so I pitched;
"I will tell you nothing about these characters or who they are except their names. Draw a Shredtail, an Antpelt, and Antpelt's apprentice. TOTAL freedom over the designs here."

So we got Dollar Tree Shredtail, Great Value Antpelt, and the best thing I've ever seen in my life. Once they put these designs down, we talked personality and differentiators from the canon counterparts while they colored and refined them;

I loved the bushy gaster tail so much that I swore on the spot I was going to work it upwards into a whole bloodline, including the very obscure background warrior in AVOS, Wasptail. So even though they're mentor and apprentice in BOTC, I've decided these two will also be related. Probably siblings, or auncle/nespring.
The little black one is based off an Admiral Butterfly (it was my idea to make the little spots on their chest look like medals), so the name seems clear to me. Admiralpaw. Xey'll be meewa unless another gender works better; and I'm planning for xem to go out during a bloody battle against The Kin in true admiral style.
(funfact; admiral butterflies are extremely territorial. Males fight each other for control of a plant to attract females to.)
Warrior name is still undecided, though. Open to suggestions, leaning towards Admiralflight or Admiralflower.
Not-Antpelt I'm having name troubles with. I REALLY wanted to name them Majorheart, after a major ant, to keep the "military ranking + bug" pun that Addy's got... but it seems that none of the ants in this area would have a major caste. B'awww.
In the meanwhile, Antspot works fine. Alatefang or Dronepelt could work, too. Feel free to shout out suggestions, this guy's name and gender aren't set in stone.

Lastly, here's Diet Shreddy. Girl now <3
She is 100% going to be killed during The Battle of the True Eclipse, keeping consistent with the mistake in Bramblestar's Storm where Blackstar mournfully calls out the name of a Dark Forest warrior. I'm also undecided on if the actual Shredtail himself dies during that battle in BB, it might just be her.
In any case, she's probably going to be a TPB girl. If she's born during Brokenstar's time, she's one of the younger ShadowClan cats to take part in the WindClan Massacre. Might even be an early apprentice at the time, in a similar situation to Badgerfang (though in BB this was a one-time thing). If not during Brokenstar, then sometime during Nightstar's brief reign.
Right now she has no family, she's in my "reserves" at the side to use as a patch between generations. Her name is probably going to be either Tattertail or Shredclaw, given as an Honor Title after the Battle of BloodClan.
So she had a previous warrior name as well. She seems like the kind of troublemaker who would have the prefix Sike-- a small stream that dries up in summer. Sikestripe, if her name was given by Nightstar, or Sikestrike, if it was given by Tigerstar. Maybe it was one and then the other, in a sign of disrespect to his predecessor's lie.

When you say “ I have it already, it’s done” or anything along those lines, don’t just think your are saying it to say it, trust that it’s true. Don’t worry about the 3D, literally you are in the unfolding of your manifestation happening right now. Everything that is happening right now is part of the unfolding.
You don’t know if you’re gonna get that text in the next minute, hour, or day. You can go on an errand and find money on the floor, run into your sp, heck some millionaire could be out in the same place you are and decide to be giving away free money to the next person they see and that’s you. You got fired from that job? What if it’s because your new job is about to pay you 10x more with less work. Or what it they made a mistake and fired the wrong person now they are giving you a bonus. What if payroll made a mistake and now your salary just went up, or you just randomly receive a check on the mail. How do you know that your sp is not manifesting you back too, or that they are writing down a text of what they want to tell your, or thinking about you and looking at your pictures, heck what if they are planning how to ask you out, or thinking about marrying you, having a family with you. You don’t have to know everything just trust. The same way you can wake up to a pimple in your face is the same way you can wake up to your desired appearance/ face , body. You’re looking back at pictures and realize your body has changed or your face. I have manifested my desired body with not even knowing I was using the law. How? I would always think of my desired body and make vision boards using Pinterest. I never noticed physical change until one day I started looking at old pictures from a month ago and realized my body had changed into the body I wanted. I didn’t do any thing different in eating/ diet or exercise it was all mental. So do not doubt your desires keep telling yourself the new story. Don’t wait for physical proof all the proof you need is your imagination and it’s done. It’s not your job to worry about the details of how, when , where and why.
