How to win this month…
Speaking life into yourself daily, no more judging yourself because you didn’t go for a run, or wake up at 5am. Choosing to love yourself unconditionally. Choosing to write those affirmations and stick them on the bathroom mirror, choosing to infuse your mind with loving, kindness, gratitude and all that yummy stuff on an hourly basis.
Focus on move the needle tasks. You want to write that book, loose 100 lbs, compete in the Olympics - whatever is your PRIMARY goal in life (and choose the primary one only), focus 100% on that task. Creating momentum around this one thing each and every day. Your primary goal should be your only focus. Secondary goals, are irrelevant. Nothing comes above your PRIMARY GOAL, and doing small little tasks each day to support this is how you make progress.
Organised days. As much as the feminine loves, flow, ease, loose unstructured days this truly does not bag you the life of your dreams. Break your day into 4 hour blocks, setting tasks in each block from when you wake up to the evening. This allows organised, focused, and productive days.
Using your resources wisely, if you’re still recovering financially from xmas, or on some kind of budget, ensure you spend wisely. Choosing health over aesthetic, choosing the Pilates membership over the designer trainers. The intolerance test over the sculpting facial. Investing in the inside before the outside is a priority. Making smarter financial decisions from a place of inner love.
Main character energy. Putting yourself first on a whole new level. No more thinking about the guy who you’re not even dating, no more putting mental energy into anything other than becoming your very best self. Period. If it’s taking mental energy from your purpose , from those move the needle tasks, from your organised days, from spending wisely. RE-ALIGN, create space and re-centre and get back on the track. We're winning the race this year.

Starting Winter Arc
Winter Arc is from October to January and it is a way to be your very best and really show your potential.
What does this consist of?
Schedule - create a schedule that is very lenient but still productive. You do not want to be too lazy but also not too rigid. Give yourself some grace System - create a system about you. A system is a set of routines that you can switch onto depending the day. It is really a you thing and makes you work more efficiently, more smoothly, and productively. Mindset - Mindset is everything; motivation is temporary, mindset is forever. If you don't have discipline or a positive mindset you might not be able to work as hard as you should. There is days where you want to give up but you really got to push. You have to list more positives in life than negatives. In order to have a better mindset, you need to have a better self concept. In order to have a better self concept, you need self esteem. Lastly, in order to have a better self esteem, you need confidence. Confidence is key. Habits - You might have mindset, systems, and schedule but habits are what you might refer back to or fall back on on those slump days. That's not good- don't you think? We have to correct our habits and really evaluate ourselves. Winter arc is all about building good habits-- one I like is positive journaling or dumping my mind in a journal. I may have a lot of thoughts but I list both positive and negative things that my mind has. Also listening to your body and needing to stop. Cutting off people or taking a rest from socializing is totally fine-- especially if your mind needs it. We are all able to heal and some habits are meant to loss. Habits are built with our environment therefore we can correct them.
Self-actualization and self-achievement is great for us and especially students. Humans are meant to surpass their goals and reach to our full potential. We might be depressed or overwork but we are like machines. We were the original machines; we are an art that has to be maintain. Let's try to be our very best.

how to handle failure ˚₊‧꒰ა ☆ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚
because, with every success, there are 100 failures that came before it
allow yourself to process. it's useless to rush to "fix it." it's also of no use to beat yourself down for what happened. just let yourself sit with the disappointment or the many emotions for a moment. journal about it or something to help you process. it's completely normal to feel disappointed and upset.
detach your worth from the outcome. I often find myself going into that toxic loophole time after time again after I fail: blaming myself for everything, thinking that it's the end of the world, already planning on how to scrap my entire current identity, change my name, and move to Chad. but, failure is something that happens, not who you are. just because you failed at this thing does not mean that you are not smart, capable, or talented.
growth. mindset. I know it's cliché, but there's a good reason why it is repeated so much.
rebuild confidence with small wins. after failure, it's easy to doubt yourself. just like how, after success, it is easy to want to try again or pursue something more difficult. start with something small to regain your confidence in yourself. set mini goals that you can actually achieve. in my case, for example, i could write a tumblr post about failure (now you know what prompted this post...). once you achieve it, in my case sending out the post, you feel much better about yourself because you succeeded at one task!
now, you can finally problem solve. what could you have changed that was in your control? you can't control other's opinions on your performance (like judges' comments, placings, or outcomes), the weather, or anything else that has to do with other people or nature.
what you can control is how prepared you are for each circumstance (including performance-wise and for things like the weather), your own time management, etc. maybe there needed to be a change in approach. either way, focus on what you can do, not how you think things should have gone, or anything that you have zero control over. (calling myself out...)
keep moving. progress isn't linear. setbacks happen. even if it feels like the end of the world right now, it's really not. you are not behind, you are not defined by one moment. keep going, and soon the failure will seem small and insignificant.
failure doesn't mean that your dream is over. it just means that the path is different. you've got this. keep going!

HOW TO FEEL SATISFIED + GRATEFUL IN LIFE
Each time something good or positive happens in your life, credit and thank yourself by documenting it. This could be down in your journal, a video vlog or even you just telling someone else.
E.g I got 90% on a test because I had the discipline and intelligence to study hard! This serves as a reminder to your future self of how hard you’ve worked to get to where you are now.
Set aside a few minutes in the day to reflect on your current week or month. You could meditate, journal, vlog etc, but just truly think about your favourite moments of the week/month and relish in how they made you feel.
Be open-minded to new things, as they allow for growth. When you approach changes in your life with a good attitude, you feel more fulfilled as you challenge yourself to experience growth.
Shift your perspective to that everything that happens in your life, is doing you a favour. Lost a good friend? Maybe they were holding you back. Dropped your favourite skincare jar? Probably could irritate. Struggling in a class? Ooo, something that challenges your mental mind!
Acknowledge that everything and anything external or materialistic will not grant you happiness in life. The only true way we can be satisfied or happy is by recognising and talking to our inner selves and making sure they’re nourished.
Start to build deeper relations with others. Whether it’s your significant other, your family, or your friends, try to connect with them on a deeper level and make an effort to prioritise (not over you tho!) them. Your optimism will increase, and it gives you another reason to be grateful.
That being said, be cautious with whom you keep close to. There are many people out there, regardless of how close they are, who want to see you fail, drain your energy or just be envious of you. Pluck these people out of your environment, as these people will squeeze all the gratitude and optimism out of you the longer you keep them around.
Avoid comparing what you have, to what others have. Everyone else is on a different journey, and it’s completely unrealistic to compare yourself to someone else’s life which you haven’t experienced. Instead, cheer them on! When you put out good energy in the word, it comes right back to you!
