This comic is, as is usual for Wednesday’s comics, chosen by my Patrons. (But for Friday because I was late with the poll this week.) Speaking of…
Check my Patreon out if you’d like to support the comic, even a little bit helps. Or just to check out the reward tiers, there’s some neat bonus stuff and I tried to make them fun: https://www.patreon.com/waitingforthet

Hey just a quick reminder every member of the batfamily is a detective it's one of the few things they all have in common, that and that theres a chimp from Florida who is canonically a better detective then all of them

While suffering cause I got the bright idea to draw Justice League Dark characters like a FOOL.
I came up with Wizard Billy’s relationship with the whole team cause he’s a little weirdo:
Zatanna: She’s very aware of the fact he’s a child and acts accordingly but is also very aware that he has complete control of the Centre of Magic. That being said she pulls a rabbit out of hat and has met lots of tigers so obviously she’s a fit candidate to be a champion one day.
Constantine: He thinks he’s creepy. Billy finds the amount of Karma following that man to be amusing but obviously he’s not a good fit for champion so he keeps him at a distance.
Jason Blood: They actually met back in the days when he was just The Wizard Shazam’s little apprentice. Still has the round table hidden somewhere in the Rock cause it’s actually a quick and easy way to summon supernatural creatures. Billy likes seeing him around makes time seem like it never left him.
Etrigan: Demon. Not quite fond of them but some are nice.
Detective Chimp: He enjoys Billy’s presence actually. He’s very easy going even if there’s 2000 dead bodies right in front of him, makes thinking easy.
Doctor Fate: Billy and Nabu have so much Beef it’s not even funny, they cannot stand each other, they can’t be on the same mission and they can’t be in the same building much less room.
Am I missing anyone?

DP x DC: No Time for Monkey Business
Danny’s family is gone. His parents, Jazz...
Danny had come home to Fenton works only to find the place tossed and ransacked, the portal broken, and his family missing. Danny doesn’t know who to trust, but he needs to find his family and whoever took them. He can’t do it on his own though, He needs help. He needs a detective, and who better to help then the greatest detective in the world...
Bobo T. Chimpanzee aka Detective Chimp
Tumblr media
For those of you unfamiliar with Detective Chimp, he is canonically the best detective in the world, better than Batman who is merely the best human detective. His skills include being able to speak to any living creature, eternal youth, hyperintelligence, incredible deductive skills, occult knowledge, and alcoholism
okay, the alcoholism isn’t a skill bit it’s wild he’s an alcoholic in canon. His entire lore is frankly wild, including Rex the Wonder Dog and the fountain of youth plus a court case that examined the implications of him being an animal owning his own business and making contracts. The ape has been in a surprising amount of team ups, from Batman, to the Shadowpact, and is in the regular rotation of Justice League Dark
He owns a magic sword called the Sword of Night, and is sassy with a sort of dry humor. Honestly kind of similar to constantine in some ways.
And Danny should play the Watson to his Sherlock.

I don’t know if he was ever an official part of the justice society but don’t have any knowledge on that chimp who worked as a private eye?
Sure. I mean he's in the phone book. He's way too young to be a JSA member, and he's not REALLY a superhero in the strictest sense but his life story is really public knowledge so just reading off his site...

(Official Headshot of Detective Chimp, on his website at www.chimpanzeeinvestigations.com)
He was born somewhere in Equatorial Africa in the early 1950s, taken in by Hollywood animal trainer Fred Thorpe after the death of his troupe to poachers. Named Bobo, he was trained as a circus act, dressed up like Sherlock Holmes and using a variety of hand signals between himself and Thorpe to "deduce" various things about his audience.
For example, his most famous trick would be Bobo turning his back as Thorpe passed a treat to a member of the audience to hide. Using hand signals, Thorpe was able to tell Bobo which stand, row and seat the volunteer was sitting in. Bobo seemed happy and was very close to Thorpe, living with him on his Florida home.
When Thorpe was killed by a corrupt local sheriff however, Bobo manifested astonishing intelligence even for a chimpanzee. Leading the detective on the case to the clues that eventually would solve the murder.
Becoming a "mascot" of the local police department his life would change when he crossed paths with Rex the Wonder Dog (ask your parents). The animal pair discovered a mystical fountain deep in the Florida swamps and, drinking from it, both gained human intellect, slowed aging (Bobo is currently 71 which is less absurd for a Chimp than most animals but still) and the ability to communicate with any animal in its own language. (Making him not only a talking chimpanzee, but a POLYGLOT talking chimpanzee)
After a short stint of government work he opened his own detective agency in his native Florida which he operates to this day alongside membership in the mystical team called Shadowpact. I'm told his rates are very fair and he has 5/5 stars on basically any site you check. So...if you live in Florida and need a PI...

The tarot deck:
Zatanna: The Magician
Wonder Woman: Strength
Swamp Thing: The Hermit
Jason Blood/Etrigan: Lovers
Madame Xanadu: The High Priestess
Man Bat: The Winged Man
Blue Devil: The Devil
John Constantine: The Fool
????? : Wheel of Fortune
Detective Chimp: ?????
Interesting that Chimp's card name is hidden.
I can't pinpoint the character in the Wheel of Fortune card between Swamp Thing and JC.
Could be a fun artwork or a clue for the story.
I should note that all of these are the trump cards in a Tarot deck so the choices aren't random. See more here.
