Stealing kisses.
This is a gift as my half of a trade for @peacerisendove for their (very compelling) pairing of Werner Vertigo and King Faraday! You can read what they’ve written for this pairing right here!

Spoilers for Absolute Power: Task Force VII #4!
It's a blink-and-you'll miss it cameo, but I was definitely surprised to see Roscoe and Len forced into building some device for Amanda Waller's regime. (Not sure if the woman working with Doctor Psycho is a miscoloured Lisa or somebody else, and the guy in the top hat could be the Shade or maybe the Wizard. And poor Houngan's been whitewashed.) Obviously we're being teased with what the villains are constructing, but there's no indication of what it is aside from looking like some kind of portal. Waller's probably got designs on other multiversal Earths or other planets.
Not shown because I cropped the page: Ralph Dibny beaten half to death by a guard with a bloody baton. Which is horrible, but it's also kind of weird that he has elongated and twisted limbs when he's supposed to be depowered. I hope the guard didn't do that to him :\

(Who's Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe #5): Besides The Creeper, all of these characters are villians. And clever ones, too. Count Vertigo is cool, and I like how Killer Croc (initially just Croc) was the one responsible for Jason Todd becoming an orphan. Don't like how sexual I find his profile, though. Ed Hannigan really didn't need to make his speedo so prominent. I feel like i'm seeing something dirty. But also kind of creepy. It's weird.
Crazy Quilt and The Creeper help distract from that, though. Hearing about Crazy Guilt's grudge against all the Robins (ever since Dick Grayson blinded him) is such a dramatic concept for such a D-list villian. I love it.

It's so unfortunate that Perdita is a character rooted in the Green Arrow animated short and the Young Justice animated series and has a terrible relationship with Animated!Werner, because I bet Comic!Werner (specifically New Earth Werner) would have loved the heck out of Perdita.
This man's origin story involves reclaiming Vlatavan royal jewels his family had been forced to sell during World War II. He cares about Vlatava first and foremost. He is so loyal to his country and his people in the comics that they do come first to him, he has turned down the opportunity to become King of Vlatava because he did not believe that he could shoulder the responsibility due to his mental disorder. He wants what is best for his country and home so much.
So if Perdita had existed in comic canon I think they would have had such a different relationship than the status/power-obsessed animated version of Werner does with Perdita. I think he honestly would have loved and wanted to protect her as his niece. I think he would have been an uncle who dirties his hands for the sake of his country and his niece. Yeah, he'd still be a villain, but he would never go after family because there's so little of Vlatava left with him even before the country's complete destruction.

(Werner's focus as a character was never really about becoming kiiiiiiing!!! His character was about reclaiming what was owed to him/his family/his country. He talks about justice multiple times and acts particularly with noblesse oblige as a man descended from a royal family (and he genuinely acts that way towards his people). His actions are never really that selfish.)
