I love the headcanon that Yor is rich. It’s been brought up a bunch, and it came up again after this new art. She’s got a SECOND Berkin 🫠

Yor and Loid are going to retire in style. They’re going to travel the world. On Anya’s 16th birthday she’s going to get a slick pink custom BMW. They’re going to have a beautiful house on 500 acres near the mountains and a gorgeous beach vacation home right on the coast. After living through so much hardship they deserve it

Sxf has a subtle dedication to presenting Yor as the ideal woman and ensuring she is constantly portraying a very idealistic representation of feminity and motherhood. The Forger household is supposed to reflect domesticity, and a lot of that hinges on Yor constantly doing the womanly thing.

The only problem is that Yor can not cook. That is one of her few defining traits. As a result we get to play the best game ever, the "what the fuck is Yor doing in the kitchen" game.

Yor spend 90% of her time in that damn kitchen doing God knows what. We all know she's probably not cooking (because she cant) so now we have to watch on as the artists and animators try to come up with a task for her to be doing in there.

As the wife and mother of the house, it is her job to be in the kitchen. Any portrayal of the standard nuclear family places the beloved wife in the kitchen or coming from the kitchen. Therefore, Yor has to maintain those motifs for the story except that she can't cook. She's not in there making a nice Christmas turkey for the family. She's just standing there. Waiting.

Loid is coming home from work. Anya is studying in the living room. Bond is sleeping in the middle of the floor. All accurate to their roles. But Yor. She's just in the kitchen. For no reason.
