Some new art of Milo and Bluebell, characters from my original graphic novel. 😌

Gutless tells the story of Milo, a wooden knight brought to life by a magic wish, who breaks free from their lonely existence as the Princess Juniper's knight to discover what it means to be truly alive. With the help of the last mermaid on Earth, a flying black cat, a tea oracle, and a grizzled yet parental cat lady, Milo gains the courage to face the mysterious and deadly force that's killing the Earth known as the Blight.

It's a lovingly queer take on many of my favorite classic fantasy tropes-- the princess locked in the tower, inanimate things brought to life and suddenly grappling with a soul, the mermaid who gets human legs and must assimilate; It's about breaking cycles of abuse and healing the trauma of isolation through participating in community, self love, and a warm beverage. Did I mention the flying cat?

I also know a very nice hot spring in Costa Rica she'd like. Well, that anyone who enjoys being self-care-soup would like, but all the same. 💦

I'm re-reading the whole thing on Webtoons for like the 4th time. The characters are precious and infuriating and freakishly lovable.
