Kon's fake wife and daughter are the current blorbos rotating on my mental rotisserie.

No, I do not care that 99% of fandom was salty about their existence.

They are currently dominating my fic draft. What was supposed to be a lil' flashback has completely taken over the chapter.

I recognize that they would be difficult for most people to tackle since that would require making some informed theorizing on what life is like on the Gemworld, but... most people are not me.

It's not quite how things work on Gemworld but it's comics and thus anything can and will happen but if Kon stayed there he could have become a magical girl in the literal sense.

do you think lophi took one look at bart and knew instantly that she was gonna lose kon. cuz it wasn’t cassie the great beauty or timmers the handsome that showed up to rescue the lost boy. it was a yapper. do you think lophi knew it was the end of her marriage of convenience when she saw the love radiating off kon’s very physical being, as if he was a blooming flower and bart his bee. do you think she knew their lovestory was resuming even as hers was ending.

Hilarious pre-bed time thought:

Dark Opal thinks he’s a Superman villain, but he’s not. Like, in the opening of YJ:Gemworld, he’s clearly pissed at Supes and invaded a whole dimension about it, but Young Justice deals with him before Superman even hears about it.

He is, at most, a Superboy villain, but Kon’s beef with him is barely personal. Yeah, he was despot over the land Kon was living in, but Kon was living on a farm, largely out of the way of the worst of the villain’s bs. Kon is way angrier at the mad scientist responsible for stranding him on the Gemworld.

So what I’m picturing is Opal rising from his proverbial ashes and going to Earth to start shit, and he lucks out! He finds Superman!

Only for Superman to be very confused “I think I might remember fighting you once? Maybe?”

Only for Kon to interrupt and sucker punch the guy into the pavement bc he got a tip from Amethyst that somebody might have popped in from the Gemworld.
