I cannot stress enough how hypocritical Vivziepop and a large portion of both of her fandoms are when it comes to deciding who âdeservesâ to be recognized as a sexual assault survivor. Vivzie has publicly stated, âI support and respect all survivors,â yet she writes scenes where characters are sexually assaulted for laughs, only treating the issue seriously when it suits her narrative.
Vivziepop: âI support all survivors!â
Also Vivziepop: Creates an entire scene where a character is forcibly dragged into a roomâpresumably to be sexually assaulted while visibly struggling, clawing at the floor and repeatedly saying âno,â making it absolutely clear that he wants nothing to do with it. All of this is framed as comedy, serving no purpose other than to be a cheap, tasteless joke.
The number of people defending this with âitâs meant to be funny!â is absolutely appalling and then thereâs the fandomâs go-to excuse:
âWell, Sir Pentious wasnât actually raped, soââ
SO NOTHING! Attempted rape is sexual assault. He was dragged away against his will. Sexual assault isnât just rapeâitâs any non-consensual sexual act or advance and in this case, it was absolutely sexual assault. The way people in this fandom dismiss his experience just because âit didnât go all the wayâ is horrifying. Do they even understand what survivors go through? Do they realize that sexual assault encompasses so much more than just rape? What about groping? What about coercion? What about sexual harassment? Or is it just easier for them to ignore the reality because the scene was âsupposed to be funnyâ?
That is not support. That is not respect. That is minimizing sexual violence for the sake of a cheap laugh and itâs absolutely disgusting.

What you all seem to be missing is that this isn't even a topic of infertility, it's of delivery. The discussion is NEVER "can Elain get pregnant" because the problem was not "could Feyre get pregnant." The plot introduced into the series was what happens after she became pregnant and carried the baby to term, could a non Illyrian safely deliver a baby with wings which has now carried over into the discussion of Elain since it's canon that Feyre and Nesta were changed while we were not told the same of Elain. It's not a reason Elain can't be with Az but it is a valid topic of discussion within this series since the author posed it as a plotline. In the real world, most women safely choose a Caesarean section if they're dealing with delivery issues in their pregnancy so acting like delivering a winged baby has real world implications is simply you jumping on a pedestal for something to yell about. That's not to say there aren't delivery issues in the real world but this scenario is not one of them.
TW: death, infertility, pregnancy and childbirth related trauma. Also a brief mention of sexual assault.
Hi anon,
Respectfully, please stop being deliberately obtuse. Let's break this down, line by line.
What you all seem to be missing is that this isn't even a topic of infertility, it's of delivery. The discussion is NEVER "can Elain get pregnant" because the problem was not "could Feyre get pregnant."
I'm aware! I assume that you sent me this ask because I reblogged an old post of mine yesterday, so what you seem to be missing is that I've already discussed this.
Here, where I implicitly acknowledged both infertility and trauma related to pregnancy and childbirth as potential triggers in the post:
And here, where I explicitly stated that we know you guys don't mean that Elain is unable to conceive at all - which is impossible to know, as per the text she hasn't tried. If you read what I wrote, you'd see I said that - assuming Nesta had not changed her anatomy and would not be able to in the future, or that Elriel would even conceive winged children if they wanted kids at all - Elain and Azriel together would be functionally infertile*, as any child with wings (which is not a guarantee, by the way, though as you guys treat it as a foregone conclusion I worked off that premise) would die before or during birth, killing Elain at the same time.
* Is it more correct to say they'd suffer from "impaired fecundity"? Yes! But please read a little further.
The plot introduced into the series was what happens after she became pregnant and carried the baby to term, could a non Illyrian safely deliver a baby with wings which has now carried over into the discussion of Elain since it's canon that Feyre and Nesta were changed while we were not told the same of Elain.
It's really not hard to understand that we are discussing a fictional woman's ability to successfully have a specific man's children, and that their impaired fecundity does not (or should not) impact her worthiness to be loved by that man; that it has been equated to the struggles that many real, living people have experienced with regards to conceiving, carrying their babies to term and giving birth; and that - while an oversimplification - all these issues are being lumped under the umbrella of "infertility struggles" to be concise and accessible.
That being said, let me correct you quickly. While you very carefully said that we were "not told the same of Elain," with regards to Nesta changing her anatomy, you neglected to mention that SJM actually had her choose wording that didn't explicitly exclude Elain from the change, either.
The brisk spring wind whipped her golden-brown hair across her face. âI gave it back to the Cauldron in exchange for the knowledge of how to save them.â She swallowed. âBut a little remains. I think something elseâsomeone elseâstopped the Cauldron from taking all of it. And I made some changes of my own.â The Mother. The only being who would see the sacrifice Nesta had made and give a little back. Perhaps it was she who had peered out at them through the Mask. âWhat did you change?â Nesta rested a hand on her abdomen. âI changed myself a little, too. So none of us will have to go through this again.â - ACOSF, chapter 78
Also of note, Nesta specified she had the "knowledge" to perform the change, which suggests that even if Elain wasn't changed then, it could be done in the future.
It's not a reason Elain can't be with Az...
Literally all that ever needs to be said on the topic.
... but it is a valid topic of discussion within this series since the author posed it as a plotline.
You should have stopped after the first half of the sentence. Elain's lack of pliable bones - ie. the second half of the "Illyrian womb" discussion that posits Gwyn as the only logical love interest - is not even a medically accurate theory, so it shouldn't be entertained full stop. While SJM may have posed Illyrian womb/wing issues as an issue for Feyre and Rhys, she never suggested it would impact any couple's decision to get or stay together. In fact, Nesta and Cassian were mates while Nesta was still unable to birth winged babies, too.
Once again I'm asking you to put your thinking cap on.
Obviously we do not have to consider the delivery of winged babies in the real world, but if you cannot see how the frequent suggestion (that Elain's hypothetical inability to successfully have Azriel's children is a valid reason as to why an author would separate, or even hint at separating, a potential couple) could be hurtful and upsetting to the many people who have/are currently struggling with infertility - or who have lost their much wanted and loved babies during the course of pregnancy or childbirth - then I have to assume that you're either suffering from a catastrophic lack of empathy or, respectfully, you have a sheep or two loose in the top paddock.
As I mentioned in the post I linked above, if the fandom is (rightfully!) expected to handle the topic of Gwyn finding love after experiencing SA with grace - out of respect for real life assault survivors - then it is not wrong to expect the same degree of care in return when discussing the anatomy change in ACOSF, out of respect for those who have trauma associated with infertility, pregnancy and childbirth in real life. It's an incredibly simple act to listen in good faith, rather than jumping straight to accusing us of wanting to "yell about" something just because you are prioritising shipping discourse over being kind.
It's 2025, the "Elain doesn't have an Illyrian womb or pliable bones" theory is both medically inaccurate and hurtful, and it really needs to end here.
Please.

Please talk more about Soulless Sam. I LOVE how you think about him.
THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME AN EXCUSE.
ok so to preface I think in spn there is always an invisible scoreboard on the corner of the screen that keeps track of who is the coolest guy with the biggest dick in the room and I think that Dean can see this scoreboard and is excruciatingly aware of his position on it every single second of his life and that's why he Acts Like That. and generally Sam is only aware of this scoreboard as like a vague distant sword of damocles hanging over him and making him sweat. so usually Dean in winning (with some notable suggestions). he has sparkle he has flair he understands his own genre and he knows how to play to the camera, always. Sam doesn't.
but then in s6 Dean has lost points and is on a significantly lower rung of the cool guy ladder on account of things like being in a relationship and golfing. already quite vulnerable, narratively. and Soulless Sam just breaks the game. bc he's operating on the hardware that Dean and John instilled in him, he's a Hunter, he working with the Campbells aka supporting his Family (which is the most important thing obviously), he's a sex God incapable of emotional intimacy (male power fantasy), it's a startling power switch bc Dean just cannot be the boss here. Sam wins by not playing. In the first ep when they're reunited and Sam's like dude. were you racing me...? who has the bigger car who has the bigger dick.
there are so many amazing convos they have that season that Sam wins by just refusing to obfuscate. ex. Dean: I don't wanna give the baby to the Campbells bc I don't trust them đĄ sam: so ur saying you don't trust...our family...of hunters.

OWNED. and then how after Dean finds out he immediately casts himself as Sam's externalized conscience/teacher to try to regain some semblance of control over Other Sam.

this is so awesome . Dean's insistence that he is 'driving the bus', deciding oh Sam has forgotten how to be Sam well I will teach him how to pretend until he can be Sam again. right after this he calls Sam a puppet. Dean is his puppeteer, Dean is teaching him how to care. and Sam really does try to imitate Dean's humanity during these eps where they have this fragile truce. like, he's a good student. he's asking questions. 'so you're saying suffering... is good?' 'I'm saying it's the only game in town.' <- 1 of my fav slices of dialogue from them ever!!! I love soulless sam bc he cuts through all Dean's fluff and bravado, and bc he's a perfect reflection of the ideals of masculinity (- the charisma and pure hearted knight of the realm vibe). genuine confusion at the flowery circles that dean talks in, (I thought you wanted me to be honest!), the way dean never says exactly what he means, soulless sam strips dean of pretense just by existing, next to him all deanâs bravado and soaring bombastic overtures fall flat and sad. soulless Sam demystifies.
also I do find it so funny and interesting how Dean telling Sam he can't fuck patchouli girl while Dean is kidnapped is ultimately what makes Sam decide he's not into the whole soul thing. like ok Dean is like you can't be fucking patchouli girl bc you're supposed to be worrying abt me and Sam str8 up asks him ok sensei are you saying that soul= suffering, which is good, and Dean is like well kind of yes, and Sam is like. Oh. Well that sounds like maybe it sucks.
like if everyone was telling you we hate you the way you are so we're gonna put some horrible dirty abused thing inside you, this immaterial substance that contains the memory of your century long rape, and that will make you good again. wouldn't you be like wtf no don't do that. The language they use around returning Sam's soul is violent. In caged heat (or as I like to call it the episode that is most explicitly abt rape in a season that is already full of sexual assault) Cas describes it as "forcing that mutilated thing down his gullet"

trying to kill Bobby isn't the action of a robot or a callous hyper-practical Dexter. Sam believes he is fighting for the right to exist. but he's monstrous and he breaks the rules of the story so obviously he's got to go. and cutting off monstrous pieces of himself/ being cut up into little archetypal categories is like Sam's whole deal so soulless sam is just that theme reiterated and writ large. Sam gothic double/changelingism is a whole other post and this is getting long but suffice to say that 1 thing about Sam is that there is 2 of him.

The different and sometimes tiring types of reactions to the neil gaiman allegations
- âneil didnât write good omensâ (he did and we simply have to learn to separate art from artist)
- âhow dare you think about anything else but the victimsâ (people can care about multiple things at once + these allegations have been known for months and months?? some of us have processed this)
- âhow do david/michael/etc feel about thisâ (itâs none of our business)
- âdonate to victims of saâ (sure if you can)
- âbdsm is fine WITH consentâ (it is)
- âeveryone is innocent until proven guilty and i refuse to condemn himâ (go read the article / enjoy being blocked by me)
- âhis writing was always Problematicâ (learn to separate art from real life victims of sexual abuse please)
- âhis writing can still mean a lot to you without you being a bad personâ (yes. just try to avoid giving him money maybe)
- âitâs just terf propagandaâ (it really really isnât. and fuck terfs)
- âreminder to prioritise your own mental health, step away from online spaces if you need to, and: you have no obligation to read the entire article if itâs too triggeringâ (true. youâre still a good person i promise)

"omg he would never" "no he's a good guy though" "why haven't these women come forward before" "well she's known for being a liar so" "yeah but have you seen the things she used to tweet"
â trans women are women, trans men are men, and if you are transphobic, you are not a feminist, this post is not about "Male Violence" or how men are "inherently violent" this post is about people who do not truly have feminist beliefs and people who will do anything to protect cis white men from criticism while attacking any woman who comes out against him. at the core of this instinct is the automatic disgust + hatred people have towards women, even other women themselves. your favorite man is not protected from being a perpetrator of violence against women, your least favorite woman does not deserve said violence â

If youâre reaction to this Neil Gaiman stuff is to crow how âI always hated his workâ or âI knew he had bad vibesâ I want you to stop, and understand what I hear, which is âthey deserved itâ
âBut noâ you say! That wasnât what you meant. You just wanted to-
What? Talk about how you always knew better? That you were above falling for the act? That you always knew something was off? You are good enough to know evil when you see it?
Cool. So they were too stupid to know better? That they fell for the act? That they should have known something was off like you? That they werenât good enough to spot this coming?
âThatâs not what I meant! I meant his fans!â
Some of his fans were his victims. So only they deserved it?
âNot his fans who were his victims but his annoying fans-â
Thatâs what youâre getting from this? That you can finally brag to those annoying fans about how stupid they were for liking his work becauseâŚ. a monstrous level of abuse happened. Glad youâre enjoying putting those fans in their place withâŚ.a bunch of horrific sex crimes.
Anyway, people who are making this about Gaimanâs work or his characters have lost the plot, I agree there. But people making this about how smart they were, how they knew better?
Think about what youâre actually saying and maybe shut the fuck up.
#iz rambles#neil gaiman#tw sa mention#tw victim blaming#this is specifically about bragging people should have known or you knew better#itâs fine if you never liked him or thought something was off#the issue is verbalizing it in a way that implies people SHOULD have known#anyway posting this chucking Iâm in danger#I am not making up a guy to be mad at I have seen this

playing as a tabris warden and especially playing as a fem tabris warden is just a constant over and over gut punch. you're getting married but then you, your cousin, and several other women from your alienage are kidnapped during your wedding by the arl's son. you slaughter your way out of it to save your cousin and the other women, but there isn't a victory in itâ you know there will be retribution for killing a palace full of guards and several nobles even though you were defending yourself and your kin. you're forced to leave your home and join the grey wardens without being given even a single night to recover. you know there will be a purge. you don't know if you'll ever see your family again.
you're taken to ostagar where you are the only woman amongst the grey wardens, and not only that, you are the only elf among them. you remember nessa, the girl in your alienage who was afraid of leaving because she feared what the soldiers would do to her after going so long without seeing a woman. your status as an elf and a woman are constantly remarked upon. you have no choice but to stay. you are fed darkspawn blood by duncan; the blood kills one man while he slaughters the other in front of you. you are supposed to feel grateful to have survived this.
and even later when you seek help from the dalish, what do you learn from zathrian? the same injustices that were inflicted upon you have been repeated over and over for centuries. what do you learn when you seek help from the mages? templars lurk in every corner, always watching, driving mages to the same violence you yourself committed. what do you learn in orzammar? to be a castless woman is to be not considered a person, who's only worth is the children she can bear for the same nobles who keep the castless subjugated. to be chosen by a noble is supposed to be an honor. why does this feel familiar?
AND THEN. what do you learn from the deep roads? darkspawn in all of their corruption are no different; you learn of the broodmothers. it is the same everywhere, no matter where you look. nothing changes. even your other party members, leliana and zevran, have their own stories. and you don't have another choice but to keep pushing on.

Just struck by the fact that, in 2018, climate scientists posted a dire warning that the Earth had just twelve years to cut greenhouse gas emissions to avoid catastrophic global heating. There were protests; demonstrations. We have now breezed through more than half of that time, with nothing to show for it but millions of more tonnes of CO2 wasted on crypto mining and AI scams. The world nears the sixth mass extinction in its entire geological history and oil production is near record highs.
Struck also by the fact that, in 2020, there were mass protests against police murders of Black people; like, mass mass protests. "Defund the police" they said. "Abolish the police." Police budgets are up. Black people still get murdered by the cops en masse.
And then, this past year, there were massive protests against the genocide in Gaza. There were occupations of university campuses, there were protests outside of the institutions that enabled the mass murder in Palestine. Macklemore did a song about it, a good one. And the genocide continues apace.
On issue after issue, you can see the same pattern. Surely the massacre of children at Sandy Hook would drive sensible gun laws! Nope. Surely outrage over the Rana Plaza collapse in Bangladesh would drive changes in labour practices! Nope. Surely the #Occupy protests in 2011 would drive wealth redistribution! Nope. Surely the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico would drive better environmental regulations. Nope. Surely the 2008 financial crash would drive regulation of the stock market. Nope. Surely the record protests against the US Invasion of Iraq would move the needle, even a little bit. Nope. Over and over and over again, we see the capitalist elite (let us be frank) raping the world, over and over and over again, we see mass outpourings of rage and disgust in the streets, and over and over and over again, we see them shrug it off, fuck their mistresses, and go golfing.
And then, some guy who may or may not be named Luigi goes and shoots an insurance CEO to death. And suddenly they can't shrug this off. Some companies back down on their plans to make health insurance in the USA even worse; we're treated to panicked editorials in elite publications talking about how celebration of the murder showcases our culture of moral decay (as if this isn't a society that has been either denying or actively celebrating the most well documented genocide in history for the last 15 months; as if there aren't near daily shootings in American schools, occurring so often that they barely even make the news anymore; as if the dead CEO hadn't presided over a company that spread misery and death for the millions as a matter of business as usual); companies beef up security, hide the names of their CEOs. There is, in short, an actual response (though it remains to be seen how it will play out in the long run, but still an actual response). Decades of mass, peaceful protest, and they just ignore it. One guy with a gun, and suddenly it's the end of the fucking world.
What lesson are we supposed to draw from this?

One thing I noticed in this shitshow of an episode is how fucking ungrateful Stolas was for everything Blitzø did for him since he came to his place.
Him being a spoiled rich white asshole:

I hate his facial expressions so much, you have no idea

I can guarantee you care about these 'nice things' more than you care about your daughter btw
Oh, we also have, let's see here...
*insert the entire montage of Blitzø (Stolas' victim) trying to cheer his abuser up since he's now in love with him thanks to good ol' Stockholm Syndrome*

Seeing that cigarette reminds me of when Stolas uh... *checks notes* called Blitz an 'itty bitty imp (racist)' despite him clearly hating it, grabbed his cheek and used his horn to put out his cigarette (not to mention Blitzø's severe trauma being related to fucking fire)

Okay so anyway, I think Stolas said "Oh, when have you ever asked" bc Blitzø stole from him and his family 25 years ago. correct me if I'm wrong here but isn't it manipulative af to bring up smth that happened that long ago, also it's totally unrelated to the current situation. I swear it's like a grown ass man saying to another "Oh I still hate you because, uhm, remember that one time in 3rd grade when you stole my pencil..."
So... if Stolas still holds this against Blitzø, let me ask: why was he ever "in love" with him in the first place? Answer? He wasn't. Stolas only used this imp for his sexual fantasies and for him to get to experience his "fairytale romance"
P.S. Imps are a race his privileged ass has always been racist towards and he hasn't ever attempted to, uh... try to understand them better? Understand how they live? I mean if you truly cared about your "boyfriend," Stolas, you'd have put in SOME effort to change your mindset/behavior and WOULDN'T HAVE EVER SEXUALLY COERCED HIM

He also đd you blitz
And no he didn't do much, he's powerful af. Using those powers isn't rocket science heck he turned an imp to stone in s1 he can protect himself but is apparently the "bottom" in the stolitz "relationship". Also no, him leaving Octavia clearly isn't a huge deal to Stolas otherwise he'd have fought to earn her forgiveness and not just sulk like a wimpy loser. YOU ARE NOT ONLY A GROWN MAN STOLAS, BUT A FATHER. At least you were supposed to be

So was not thinking about your daughter until you lost everything, apparently

AGAIN WITH THIS SHIT??? WHY ARE WE TALKING ABOUT A TRANSACTION AGAIN

Alright I'm signing off until the next season drops, if that ever happens
This episode sucked, but kudos to our girl Via who was smart enough to see through her "father's" bs đ

The number of confirmed Palestinian political prisoners has exceeded 10,000 from the West Bank and AlQuds, thousands from Gaza, and hundreds from within the lands occupied in 1948. Conditions in Zionist prisons have always been dire and have gotten significantly worse since October 2033.
Among these prisoners, over 300 are women from the occupied West Bank, while the number of women from Gaza abducted by Zionist forces remains unconfirmed.
Many women endure deliberate medical negligence, denial of communication with family and lawyers, unsanitary conditions, and severe violence. This includes psychological torture with solitary confinement, overcrowded cells filled with insects and dirt, and a lack of natural light. Prisoners are subjected to beatings, insults, threats, and sexual harassment and abuse. Strip searches are common, often used as methods of punishment and humiliation.
Despite continuous threats from the Zionist forces against freed prisoners and their families, these Palestinian women, among countless others named and unnamed, have shown immense courage and steadfastness in their choice to share the torture they have endured.
We demand the freedom of all Palestinian political prisoners. FREE THEM ALL!
