Vivziepop barely focuses on classism and inequality in Helluva Boss, having the characters telling us about it or discussing it outside the show instead of portraying it to us. The show isn't even about IMP anymore, becoming a fanfic-like soap opera focusing on Stolas and his toxic relationship with Blitzo.

Most of season two wastes time on victimizing Stolas and tries to make us sympathize with him. Blitzo goes from standing up to the owl prince and his mistreatment to being a servant who kisses his ass. Vivziepop is forcing the Goetia prince, who sexually coerced the imp into an awful relationship, together. However, we're supposed to believe the former is the victim in all of this. She turns Stolas into a sniveling victim and Blitzo into his punching bag of a caretaker.

Vivziepop views Helluva Boss as a deep and mature show, being completely blind to how childish and underdeveloped it actually is.

I really do think Beelzebub had the potential to be the most sinister of the Sins. She's the Sin of Gluttony and she encourages people to overindulge and act upon their vices (unless they're Mammon apparently) because she revels in excess, but what if there was a darker side to her?

Amongst the dregs of Hell, Bee is considered a blessing. A kind woman who will help those in need to find happiness and is always willing to lend a helping hand to the hapless nobodies. However, things are not always what they seem with her. In reality, she's a master manipulator and the biggest enabler in Hell. How she 'helps' people is by encouraging them to act upon their vices, not so subtly goading them into developing addictions. She always has a bountiful supply of products to feed into these addictions. Addictions they cannot financially support.

And who does she mainly target? Hellhounds and Imps! The lowest of the low, basically slaves! She builds a false sense of security and friendship with these poor Demons, pretending to understand what they're going through and making the friendless think they have someone who cares in this scary violent world. She preys upon the weak and vulnerable.

Due to her position and status, Bee has never had to worry about money issues. Her customer base however, they tend to reach the point where they can't support their addictions. Almost instantly, Bee will turn upon them, throwing herself a big pity parade about how betrayed she feels, threatening to cut off her customer. Unable to turn away from their addictions, they will beg for another form of payment, which is exactly what Bee has been waiting for. Her 'friends' will sell their souls if it means being able to feed their addictions, which Bee happily accepts.

At that point, Bee has won. She's earned another sucker's soul, where they will join her army of slaves to produce more of her delightful products, which will inevitably be used to lure in more unsuspecting victims.

Her influence is so strong that she has customers in practically every corner of Hell, all on her payroll. All suckered in by her kind facade and promises of numbing the pain.

I listened to a song once called "Happy Pills" its by Weathers. It is about this guy who has mental illness but also uses drugs and meds to cope and try to have a "normal happy life", but it always ends up wearing off, just for him to keep becoming more codependent.

The song is a good inward look at how mental illness and taking medication can affect some people with mental illness, for better or for worse. An how, taking your "happy pills" is what society deems as necessary to be "happy" and live a "normal life" when you struggle.

I have a sneaking suspicion, that Viv knows this song. It was quite popular in 2016 but during Covid its made a bit of resurgence ESPECIALLY on TikTok. I would not be surprised if Viv heard this songs chorus and nothing else and took it as inspo for Stolas' meds.

Cuz lets be honest. What adult show is going to sugarcoat something like Antidepressants or having an unhealthy codependency with your medication.

i dislike the fact that stolas’ antidepressants are called “happy pills”. it just seems so unserious to me? helluva boss is an adult cartoon, and you’d think that adult cartoons would touch on serious topics like depression. but instead of straight up writing “antidepressants” on the can, they go with “happy pills” which is on the same level as literally some gacha mini movies.

So this argument falls apart when they say this

And this is not an attack on Blitz's character, I'm just saying what he literally is.

I can’t be the only one who feels iffy about Vivziepop’s approach to ‘representation.’ To me, it feels like they’re checking off boxes instead of actually putting effort into a character, especially when you look at how almost all the gay characters in the show are portrayed as feminine, overly sexualized, extremely skinny or a mix of all three. There’s nothing wrong with any of those traits but when every gay character fits that mold, it’s not true representation. It feels more like a stereotype than diversity.

The show has already demonstrated its ability to create a range of body types with characters like Satan, Mammon and even some background characters. If the show can represent diverse body types why not extend that same diversity to the gay characters? I’ll give Fizzarolli a bit of a pass here, though. with his robotic body he literally can’t gain weight anywhere except his stomach.

As people wonder why I did them? Well you can shoot an ask and I'll answer for now this is what the Self Aware AU is like.

Everyone BUT Stolas is self aware of how stupid everything is, the reasoning for WHY Stolas is singled out is because why not? We're strictly ANTI-STOLAS here.

All blogs run by the same concept but the people behind the blogs have their own Headcanons and takes on the characters, the only things that remain are based on @mammoncriticizes, @seraphinacriticizes and @pentiouscriticizes sides.

Satan is the true ruler of Hell and has a DAUGHTER named Jezebel.

Infodumps and Loredumps made by all three of the mainblogs will be posted between asks, so it's a blink and you miss type deal.

Why did you make this?

I don't know, wanted to have fun with working together with the Critical Community, by taking inspo by the Instagram!HelluvaVerse but do it with Tumblr a united front that has similarities to most things.

I'd like to thank @moxxiecriticizes for being the first person to join then recruiting @0ctaviacr1tical as well. I was doing this for shits and giggles and it looks like we MIGHT actually pull this off.

What's the AU about?

Mammon, being the first to break free from this illusion began to realize that 2 + 2 does not indeed equal fish as he questioned around early season one, and realized he was forced to do things that he normally wouldn't do under any circumstances. With the help of online Hellblr he is able to contact people through OUR tumblr space somehow to connect with a wider audience through some means.

With that, there's been an influx of people joining the cause, and with every new critical blog popping up that means more and more characters are currently realizing just how fucked up their world truly is.

Status on Redesigns.

As we stand, we do accept redesigns as we would like to rebrand the characters and we're using this AU to reinvent the new storyline so if you end up drawing the posts we make then we accept it. Reblog it as well.

The Skeksis don’t just think they’re better than everyone else, they actually did care for the Gelfling before becoming obsessed with youth and not wanting to die. They also killed thousands upon thousands of said Gelfling and managed to extinct several species. They’re hideously beautiful and gothic and extremely fascinating, much, much more than I can say about Vivziepop’s annoying furry OCs pretending to be demons.

Agreed, hell, even Making Fiends has a better representation than Trashbin Hotel and Helluva Smellbarfshit.

I know it's absurd to compare a silly cartoon about solid colored humans with fiends from the 2000s with a piece of shit 'cartoon' that probably came out of the 2010s (but it's from the 2020s), but my point is that at least Amy Winfrey knows how to write the characters well, without it seeming forced. Vendetta Vladivkov, for example, is a great italian-bulgarian representation, yes, she is bulgarian despite her name having Italian origins, and problably she has autism bipolar narcissistic, Charlotte Charlston, has ADHD, Maggie Mishra, who has literally depression, Mr. Maxwell Milk, a better heterossexual/straight representation and he must has PTSD and Marvin Mai Johnson, which has paranoia.

Dragon Ball has better representation than Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel.

Queer rep: gay, lesbian, aroace, nonbinary/agender, and polyamorous

We have disabled characters that aren't infantilized (Tommy, the blind boy that befriended Buu)

And after several years of donut lips on Black characters, we have accurately drawn and portrayed Black/dark-skinned characters in DB (Uub, Janet, Rulah, ect.)

Here are some awesome examples:

Piccolo: aroace and agender, also part of the main cast

Kakunsa and Bikal: confirmed and open lesbians in a relationship. Not fetishized or shown as queerbait.

Janet: Pan's preschool teacher and an accurately drawn and portrayed Black character, with a loveable design.

Caulifla and Kale: implied lesbians in a relationship. Not fetishized.

And we can't forget about our fat magical girl, Ribrianne. Not shown as a hated greedy glutton, and with an adorable and loveable design.

Even his wife only really cares about the imp thing??? I hate this fucking show. Viv can’t seem to even remember her own social rules.
