If Angel Dust "wasn't meant" to be a gay stereotype...

Why is it that Vivziepop only made him obsessed with sex and drugs AFTER she made him gay?

Once again.

Why is it that Angel Dust wasn't written this way untll AFTER Viv made him gay?

Why is it that gay men felt hurt about the stereotypes??

Why is it that the definition of gay stereotypes describes Angel Dust's stereotypes so accurately?????

one thing ill never understand about viv stans is how fast theyll jump to defend her. its crazy how they cant just admit that vivziepop has done wrong and will CONTINUE to do wrong. yes, helluva AND hazbin are great concepts, but the people behind it make it impossible for the show to hold its weight. im sorry if this doesnt make sense, im kind of exhausted

I Fucking Hate Lucifer

In Season 1 I didn't really mind him all that much.

But now with the Season 2 leaks, let the leak of him being killed be true.

All he is is this #quirky-autistic-guy who's also "UwU sad boy sympathize with me!"

And if he's also going to be part of the main cast and since he's also the King of Hell, then he can literally solve any problem in five minutes! He'll be nothing more than a plot device for the characters to use to get them out of sticky situations. It happened in the finale of Season 1, it could very well happen again!

Also, why is he sticking around? Doesn't he have things to do as a ruler? And he's also driving away Charlie's employees.

And yes I know it's Alastor but still!

Vivziepop fans going as far as claiming Valentino has a “tragic reason” behind abusing and raping while continuing to treat Stella as if she’s worse than him is disgusting. An abusive housewife who hired an assassin to kill her husband is deemed a worse monster than a pimp, who abuses and rapes his employees.

If Stella was a man, fans would be defending and worshipping her like Valentino and every other man in these shows. However, just like Vivziepop, they believe women doing horrible things is 10X worse than anything the men do.

tbh if you want to write a show like Hazbin Hotel you NEED to have writers who understand history. Like not just a general overview or base knowledge but to have severe interest of when the characters were alive. Because it will completely shape their pop culture knowledge, their jobs, their personalities, how they interact with each other. The writers I think don’t understand that.

For example, Alastor was a black man from the 1920’s and a radio show host in Louisiana, that would’ve only happened after 1929. And he uses no slang, no mention of prohibition, no mention of mobsters, no mention of severe racism. Angel Dust was an Italian mobster in the 1940’s, and that was not expanded on at all. That could lead to internalized homophobia and feeling lesser due to sex worker because of his surroundings.

I do not think any other character has gotten a historical timeframe of when they are from. But I have seen something (from an unreliable source but) of Husk being Russian in the mid 1900’s. Which that could lead to why he is an alcoholic, because between the Russo-Japanese War, WWI, Bolshevik Revolution, Russian Civil War, and WWII Russia had lost a significant amount of people. And Husk’s alcoholism could’ve been derived from coping from loosing almost everyone he knew (which could also lead to abandonment + attachment issues that he could have to work through.)

I have also seen that Nifty was supposed to be Japanese, and Sir Pentenous is British, could be a critism of imperialism. Idk you guys, this was my silly rant as a history nerd.

Seeing discussions about ableism within Vivziepop's work, I wouldn't be shocked if Viv created an Autistic character where they face ableism from other characters or that said character is "cured" of their Autism after ending up in hell or heaven.

vivziepop does not care for the actual victims of sa/r@pe. or at least it really does seem that way.

i was sa’d and i do not feel as if angel dust is good representation. ‘poison’ felt hypersexualized/romanticized. if you are a victim and you feel represented, that is perfectly okay! i will admit, the song is good at representing how some may feel like they cant leave theyre abuser or in this case, are ‘addicted’, but angel is just not it for me.

Vivziepop fans claiming adding black features to her black characters would’ve made it “too difficult” to animate them is a hilarious excuse considering this is the same woman who had characters like these animated:

Another excuse fans have been using is that Vivziepop’s art style is “unsuitable” for black characters, despite her crew members proving otherwise: 

No art style is "unsuitable" for black characters because it's the artist's responsibility to learn how to draw them in their style. There's no excuse for black characters not looking black in your style.

Vivziepop could draw black features in her style but CHOSE not to, hence why none of the black characters look black outside their skin color, which sometimes they don't even have.
