im so thankful i have a functioning cranium and got tf out of that fandom while i still could.

Might do a rewrite of Hazbin AND Helluva, and Redesign ALL of her wack ass OCs.

Honestly it sucks that Millie gets the least amount of focus, because in my opinion she's probably one of the most interesting characters, conceptually.

She's a female assassin who specializes in giant weapons and hand-to-hand combat. She's happily married to another assassin who has a more timid and calm personality. She's strong, confident, bold, and outspoken, but is also allowed to be caring and supportive (mainly to her husband).

She started off just doing her assassin job for money/to support her family but it soon led to a career she loves and even helped her meet her husband.

She's from a big family who loves her and mostly supports her job and choices. She has a pretty great relationship with said family but is also a part of a found family with her husband, their boss and his daughter.

She's a pretty stock southern architype but she's also allowed to be emotionally mature and occasionally pretty smart rather than just being a hick 100% of the time.

All of that intrigue, complexity, and story concepts that the writers do nothing with! 'Cause why focus on your actually cool characters when you could make 500 episodes about some whiny bird bitch?!

"I hate how Hazbin and Helluva are regarded as having "amazing queer rep" while most of the characters are either stereotypical, fetished gay cis men, pan, or bi. There's only ONE trans character of significance and she barely got any lines in the episode she appeared in, but she's paraded around as being amazing trans representation. Meanwhile, little to no love for lesbians or wlw couples, trans men, and non binary people (I'm using it in its umbrella of identities way). And the ace rep... oh boy. Hot take, but a series that mocks one of its asexual character for not having sex isn't good representation and it's painfully obvious that Viv made Mammon asexual just because she is fat phobic and doesn't want to make sexualized merch for him like the other characters (tho Luckily a lot of the people in the critical community are reclaiming him to be an ace icon to us)"

"One of the things that really irritates me about Stolitz as a ship is that it supports toxic OTP culture and locks these two characters out of any potential that they have with anyone else just because “They’re meant to be!” 🥺🥺🥺. Vasago, the “hate Blitz” guy (from Apology Tour) and Ozzie (if we were to suggest Ozzie x Fizz would break up or be in a open/poly relationship) are better options for Stolas than Blitzo is. And DON’T get one started on how many characters are a better fit for Blitz! Verosika, Fizz (same with the Ozzie situation), Striker (at least S1/Pre-S2 Striker), the M&Ms (again, same with the Ozzie situation), heck even freaking Emberlynn!"

"andrealphus' plan in mastermind was so asinine its infuriating. why did he target blitzo if he wanted stolas' power? and why did he make stolas seem like a victim in the situation when that makes his chances of getting stolas' power even slimmer? was he trying to goad stolas into swooping in and incriminating himself fully? how does he even know stolas would fall for it? in would be infinitely easier and less precarious for andrealphus to start off accusing stolas of giving blitzo the book because... thats exactly what happened. no need to hire striker to give a false testimony, no need to cross your fingers and hope stolas will take the bait. just give the facts of the case and get stolas' power when its stripped from him as punishment. why would andrealphus even care if blitzo gets punished for this anyways? does he even know blitzo exists outside of his affair with stolas? maybe its some sort of anti imp bias, but considering imps are the lowest class, why would he give a shit about a lowly imps fate when his vendetta is with stolas? and if its because andrealphus is mad at blitzo for making stella look bad, why would he be mad in the first place? he really doesnt seem to care about stella outside of using her as a tool in his dumb schemes. not to mention it makes zero sense that he made stella call off stolas' assassination in the first place. sure, octavia would be the one to get all of stolas' power, but stella could easily manipulate her into giving her and andrealphus all that power. octavia is still a teen and is likely to be easily swayed by her mother. so andrealphus comes off less as a scheming mastermind and more of a convoluted dipshit who thinks hes a lot smarter than he is, and im assuming theyre not aiming for the latter because theyre setting him up as this big bad."

Damn the hotel really went from "dusty old building with character" to "las vegas casino #537" didn't it

Can I just say I hate how they change the look of the hotel so fucking often?

It’s meant to be the main centerpiece of the show, like the Mystery Shack from Gravity Falls or Steven’s house from Steven Universe. But the hotel doesn’t have a consistent look to it so just gets confusing on what look to settle for.

It’ll be a matter of time before the new hotel gets a figure of its own so it just feels like another thing of the show to sell merch before possibly getting replaced with a new look again.

Also, I hate the new look, it’s the equivalent of how fast food places used to look fun and colorful but nowadays it’s not.

I think the thing that strikes me about people who still defend the show is how willing they are to use lines of argument that they wouldn't find valid when addressing the criticism of any other show

in no other show would people be like 'it's good actually that Millie finally got her own episode after nearly two seasons despite her supposedly being a main character and it doesn't matter that 'her' episode was about her nannying Blitzo and Moxxie and suddenly declaring herself his best friend. it's good enough which means there's no problem'

or I even saw someone claim that Viv was totally right to claim the eps are best watched in one sitting because the issue of Loona not even being a character is 'fixed' in the back half of the season. no it's not??? she gets some screentime and lines full moon and onwards but she's still underdeveloped, she just suddenly gets over her issues with Blitzo to call him Dad while Stolas sucks up all the screentime like the event horizon vacuum cleaner he is

I saw a post on the vivziepopcriticalconfessions blog where an anon was like "Alastor wins in most situations" or smth along the lines of and honestly I agree. In season 1 he only "fights" regular sinners that basically don't have any powers and it feels unfair. Husk's soul is owned by him so Al already is at an advantage. But just reminding you that he's not the strongest being in Hell. The Goetia, Sins and Adam himself are miles stronger than him. I think if Al had to fight another Overlord it'd be pretty interesting (Vox is right THERE!!!!)

Alastor is so used to picking on people who he can easily use to his advantage, Husk for example like you mentioned Anon and Charlie too by extension.

Alastor basically cheated his way through Hell, which makes him look 10x worse and more pathetic. Episode 2 implies Vox and Alastor fought in the past. Valentino says, “you still pissed he almost beat you that time.” Vox replies, “uhhh fuck you!”

Vox doesn’t deny the information. Either way, Vox won the fight but barely made it. I wouldn’t be surprised if Valentino and Velvette aided him in battle especially when Alastor mentions them in “Stayed Gone” song. If Vox wasn’t a loser around Alastor and locked in, I feel like he would have done better against Alastor in general.
