I always feel that I'm being taken for granted by my loved ones, but the real problem is that I allow them to do so, I've ruined things for myself, I am easily approachable and accessible, that's why I get treated this way. I always thought being there for others is a nice thing but in reality it sucks, you lose your value in that process, i wish to not to be taken for granted for actually caring for my loved ones and being easy only for them, someday someone might actually understand me and take me seriously and not some kind of joke. I just wish to be treated right and not for granted

I think a lot of antis need to realize the reason why people are so aggressive towards them isn’t because they are in the Vivziepop cult it’s because they are having their tone matched. If someone says they think viv is a mediocre writer and her shows have a tone problem or mishandle sensitive topics I might disagree but it’s not that big of a deal we can discuss or agree to disagree. If someone comes at me in their dedicated hate blogs to tell me that Vivziepop is a narcissist abusive monster because her cartoon didn’t meet the vibe check and I’m somehow morally complicit in thought crimes I’m going to tell you to fuck off.

Exactly! It's not about not being able to criticize a show's creator or writing. It's about the exaggeration and downright lies that are spread about said creator. Like, for example, I love Stolitz. But I am not going to crucify someone who doesn't. I maybe try to say my peice in why I like it to them, if they are open to discussion. But, sometimes, it's just about people having different opinions, and that's fine. What I am not going to do is harass a creator until she litterly can't take it anymore and leaves the plattform! Like, it's hard to be nice to someone who calls you slurs and tells you to kill yourself for liking/creating something they don't. You have to draw the line somewhere. And that line for me, is when you start to go after and bully REAL people over a fictional show and characters.

I just found this comment on my Smiling Friends x Hazbin Hotel collage, and usually I just block and ignore it, but sometimes I let things get to me. I'm a person with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and I can be overly sensitive sometimes, but this person was beyond rude.

This person is the perfect example of what Fandom Police are. Fandom Police often act as if they can repress or censor other fans in what they consume, create, and talk about.

This person didn't have to tell me what to do with my creative energy and enthusiasm. I think that's what triggered me the most, because my moodboards and collages are a positive and creative outlet for me; they also help me with stress, anxiety, and relaxation.

I'm sorry for the vent guys, but this person triggered me.

Context on your disable post?

The context is that people will treat others wrongly just for having disabilities. Currently in America, our healthcare is getting worse because disabled folk are now being targeted.

For example: people say it was disability that caused the helicopter to crash just because the company hires people with disabilities. (Because if they purposely refused to hire someone, with the qualifications it takes to work there, just because they had a disability, then that would be direct discrimation and against DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion).)

So in order to make people realise that maybe what they're doing is bad, you have to put them in their place by making it about them. You have to make them the victim in order to understand it, or else they will not care until the moment it happens to them.

It's essentially tied to the golden rule : Treat others how you want to be treated.

What you're talking about here is called (not-so-fondly) 'hijacking a post'. That can mean either using your re-blog to attack the OP (Original Poster)'s post or using your re-blog to just... say something completely unrelated. In either of these cases, if the hijack takes off, the OP is suddenly in the wildly upsetting position of getting hammered with potentially vicious reblogs that become totally out of their control. And that's a cruel thing to do to someone.

If you need to make your counter-argument, then use your own original post to do so, and tag it appropriately, so that the people who are interested can find it. (This does NOT mean tagging the OP.)

Now use your judgement, of course. The OP might be a mutual and y'all might have the kind of rapport where this is perfectly fine. Or you might be on a 'Yes, and' post where your random detour is appropriate and appreciated.

Mostly, just remember that you don't know anything about the OP, and err on the side of kindness. Then, hopefully, the community will treat you in the same way, and Tumblr stays fun and inclusive rather than toxic.

A good rule of thumb is to treat posts (whether they be random thoughts, art, fic, meta, etc.) like dishes at a potluck. If you don't like it, you don't shout about it, make a scene and cause that cook feel terrible... you just move on and sample the next one.

Remember to liberally use the 'Block' feature. It doesn't hurt anyone to do so (the blocked person/tag/phrase never even knows it) and helps your blood pressure and enjoyment.

Who the heck was the first person to say respect should be earned?? No it shouldn't. Disrespect should be earned.

And even then it is not your right to be disrespectful. Even if you're talking to your worst enemy there should be at least a little bit of respect, a line you can't cross. If you're trying to bother them then unfiltered kindness will do the trick better anyway.

Hiding behind the anon feature to say horrible things to someone doesn't make you brave. It makes you a coward, because while you'd bully someone anonymously, if you had to reveal your identity, you'd never say those things.
