People claiming to represent the Hawk Organization are congregating around the Capitol. Many of them are soldiers and guards, and security is confused and sparse. Among them is not Hirasin, not even Darhav. Perhaps that is who they are looking for. They are remarkably well organized.

A representative of a Sparrow Group sits under a great old tree nearby, humming to themself. In the tree's branches lie many more unseen, dressed in white and green and brown. Many are used to violence. They wait with bated breath.

Houses are left empty, their inhabitants gone somewhere few know. They will go somewhere much less lonely than the homes they leave behind. After all, you are always welcome in the Tern Family.

Atop one of these empty homes is a figure, looking down through binoculars. They speak into a small metal device. They don't expect to need the knives sheathed down their thighs.

From their homes, the cityfolk listen to these echoes of a new era. Some turn up their nose at this insanity. Others await their own calls, understanding this is the only way.

Every moment, the thin membrane between the world of the living and that of the Others becomes thinner in Gadburg. Chaos reigns.

Far beyond the city, far beyond even the state, a different force collects. A group of criminals, murderers, assassins. An ancient thing, half-human, and their chosen heir.

Am i the only one who really dislikes the talon grayson shit? I genuinely don’t think the court of owls is very interesting in general, but their relationship to dick and hally circus specifically really rubs me the wrong way. It’s like writers took a story about normal, well intentioned people (that in some versions have mary and john being poc, which only furthers the racist stereotype that romani folks are “sketchy”) who were struck by tragedy, and made it into a whole ass conspiracy theory that ruins the point of multiple minor characters who already didn’t get much attention from the comics, but especially, it ruins the point of nightwing and his origin.

Do we really need another character who was raised to be a super secret and important weapon that is tied to random stuff across the whole universe? Don’t we already have two of those? Don’t you think it’s better when batman characters are just normal people??

Just. what was even the point of that??

Some people headcanoning belos as having npd and are also one of the biggest haters of belos out there, believing him to be irredeemable and pure evil with no sign of humanity. And that makes me feel weird

I don't have npd, and I'm not saying that people with npd and are like belos can't exist—

But when you reserve "good mental illnesses and disorders" to good characters and "evil mental illnesses" to evil characters, it creates not only a very black and white picture of these disabilities that real people go through but also stigmatizes these already demonized disorders.

random note about king on that animation, i got really lucky with how simple his animation was and how clean my sketches were to begin with that i was able to do very minimal cleanup on what i had sketched (and add back. his horn. it's supposed to take place just after echoes of the past, Oops) and call it done that way instead of having to redraw the entire thing like i had to on his dad

first sketch > line cleanup > nearly final animation (i'd added slight eye movements last-second but otherwise that's the final)

What’s in a name?

I wonder if Crawley chose the name Crowley in honor of the crows that showed Aziraphale what his true intentions were.

I also wonder if AZ Fell was chosen by Aziraphale in remembrance of talk he and Crowley had on the beach after they saved Job’s children.
