Our blog is not schizo-spec exclusive (encompasses all psychotic disorders/sources of psychosis due to us not knowing the exact cause of ours yet [though it's very likely we're schizo-spec]) but I have no doubt some of our followers are schizo-spec
Can you do a "Interact if yore schizospec" post so I can follow similar people? Please and thank you.
Sure thing!!
Hey if anyone is schizospec and posts about it, please reply to, or reblog this post!! It would be nice to find each other ☺️
Schizospec people only please!

Anyway love to my fellow psychotic alterhumans. Your psychosis doesn't define your ability to have a personal identity or trust in your own beliefs around what you identify as. If your psychosis is separate from your alterhumanity? Cool as fuck. If it's the reason you're alterhuman? Also fucking cool. If you can't tell or don't care? Stronger than any US marine. Don't let people use your psychosis as a tool to claim you can't define your own lived experience.

One moment I'm like "why am I hearing things that aren't there. why did our psychosis come back hard" but the next I realise I'm a psychosis holder. Hallucinations georg if you will. The guy who Just Does That. Wow who would've thought.

Anti endos claiming that they aren't abelist while fakeclaiming nontraumagenic systems that come from other disorders
Hi hello, we're a schizophrenic system, plurality has always been a symptom of my schizotypy, since I was as young as 11 I have been going through the cycle of experience plurality for a while -> freak out that I'm weird and crazy -> suppress it until it goes away for a while -> pretend it never happened -> experience plurality again within a year
It has gone away many times but it always came back and I'm currently at the beginning of breaking that cycle, this time I'm not letting ableists tell me what's going on in my brain.
It's not even sysmedicalism at this point because me and my system FIT into a medical model, the only difference is that our personality states are separated by psychotic symptoms instead of dissociative ones but I guarantee we're still gonna get hate for this
I'm literally in therapy for my psychosis and I am openly plural. CDDs aren't even on the table for potential diagnoses. My therapist is actively supporting me in recovering my plurality because he believes that it is a benign symptom
I personally know another schizogenic system, he doesn't use that terminology because he's like. In his late 40s and doesn't use the Internet much, but he was telling me one day about how one of the things his schizoaffective causes is extra people in his head and how sometimes they do things and he has to work together with them. And I had this awesome moment with him where I was like "wait. Really? I have that too!" I'd never met another system irl and the first one I met was a forty-something endo old head on the downtown streets. Because people in the real world don't give a shit about your online discourse. M and his headmates don't know or care that anti endos exist, he's busy hustling, he has bigger problems than some teenage DID sys who's inevitably going to come in my askbox and say I made him up. And you know what. So do I. Come into my askbox. It'll give me something to laugh at with my hot schizo gf while we try to get this housing shit sorted.

Shoutout to those who people don't take the time to listen to or understand.
People with stigmatised illnesses or disorders. Yes, even the "gross" ones, even the "scary" ones. Yes, even the ones that people think make others a "bad" or "unsafe" person. You do not deserve to be treated horribly due to not being understood. Your voice is valuable, and you deserve to speak--especially over the media and over the voices that demonise you.
People who are queer in "contradictory" or "non-standard" ways. You do not need to fit into boxes to be queer. People are more complicated than labels can define, and only you can define yourself. No one knows you or what you are better than you do. Don't let them take your words from you.
People who are alterhuman of all kinds--anyone who has an alternative relationship with humanity or none at all. Those who choose to become alterhuman. Those who identify physically as nonhuman. Systems of all origins and explanations, with any kind of headmate. Those with hearttypes, even if they're "problematic".
Those who present their identity and/or body differently to general society. People who wear bright colours, no colours at all, alternative clothing, do "strange" things with their hair. People who have piercings and tattoos covering every inch of their skin. People who have scars and aren't taking time out of their day to hide them. Your body is yours, and no one should dictate what you do with it.
You know who you are, you know what your identity is, and you know how you want to present it. Don't let others change you. You are valuable, because you are here.

schizospec system culture is having a headmate who helps in grounding the host by just verbally tearing into their delusions and being so here for it

Yall can we please stop using delusional as an insult against others. Real people with psychotic symptoms exist, myself included. Someone identifying with a label you personally do not think is a "valid" identity or spreading misinformation or even just stating an opinions you don't agree with is not being delusional, and anytime you say that you're implying that those of us with psychosis and delusions don't deserve space to explore our beliefs and exist alongside you, or that you believe we're somehow stupider or unable to engage in discussion and discourse like the people around us.

It sucks so much that as someone with a severe and persistent mental illness it's MY responsibility to jump through hoops and be proactive in contacting people at limited times of the day just to get MY MEDS THAT I'VE BEEN TAKING CONSISTENTLY FOR YEARS

Curious as to who uses AAC and why, media likes to portray AAC as only for children with autism or cerebral palsy.. so we want to know why majority of users on here use AAC!
Edit: We understand there isn't ONE reason to use AAC we don't have one reason either! just not sure how else to word it than "primary" as some disorder affects us more in speech than other
Also should've added more options to poll! thank you for input happy to see all these different beautiful peoples and reasons very unique!
