Sobbing, instead of studying I translated more of doujin page from the same artist, linking 2 more, with (shorter) summary,

this one is about trey who actually acts normal not because he wants normality, but because he feels like he has to be normal (like trauma after getting riddle into trouble), but then jade sense that side of him, and somewhat be like, it's okay not to be normal and it release tensions from trey's shoulders fhsdh when they started dating, trey kept finding himself in trouble that jade brought upon them (schoolmates suddenly wants to get into battle because they have some kind of beef on jade) when cater said, u like normal right? why are u going out with him? trey said, i don't actually dislike it (the trouble) (yea because he is actually not normal)

when azul said, jade why are u going out with trey, he seems too normal? jade be like, no he is not normal at all, trey knows there's someone behind the bench (i hope someone saved them after fshd but then there were ants, ants go for dead bodies, is he ded for real? fshdh BUT WAIT, it was raining, ANTS WON'T COME OUT WHEN IT RAINS, hey! hey!!! AUTHOR!!) but he still gave jade the umbrella calmly in conclusion, TOTES NOT NORMAL! Jade said.

the writing is also in depth & brilliant, but i especially love page 61-64 where jade gave reasoning to trey not to tied himself forever on the trauma of putting riddle into trouble back then that he deserves to be happy himself when trey said "i wish i can do something for riddle" jade replied "riddle wasn't someone that only you could save." "of course it doesn't have to be me." "riddle is a strong person who can find happiness on his own if given the chance." "please be happy too"

possibly wild and out of touch take ahead so beware but if the second half of those eight digits is supposedly beato's birthday (yeah, november 29th, i've known it for a long time) and if we haven't been lied about it not being shannon's or kanon's birthday (i'm naming names now)... and if the beato we know as the game master is supposed to have been born for reasons related to battler, then wouldn't her "birthday" be the day of his sin? he sinned and then she was born, which sounds very biblical. and which means that for him to understand what those digits mean he'd have to not only remember that he has a sin, but also the exact day it was committed. i personally think it might have been a lot to ask of a little idiot like battler, but that's another story

Every week someone makes a post about how annoying it is that Dick Grayson fans don't acknowledge his flaws, and every week someone replies with an explanation that the flaws OP listed are entirely fanon and inconsistent with canon as it actually happened and at this point I have to assume that none of those explanations are ever going to stick because clearly some people just want the fanon to be true.

Anyway, I'm just putting this here for me to edit and add relevant-to-the-topic links later so I'll have them nicely at hand to read and sooth my frustrations when it gets real bad out there. (Echo chambers are good when we use them to drown out character mischaracterizing fanon.)

#i read this book when i was little where one of the characters was born a girl but their mum brought them up as a boy and hid it from them #to avoid discrimination or something/i can't fully remember..... so obviously im now thinking of that .with some roman guys + their mothers #looking for opportunities to socially advance. like if the family used to be great but had fallen into obscurity and they needed a seat in #the senate to claw back some dignity and the mum has like six girls before saying 'fuck it' and just bringing the last one up as a boy #to get that seat.like #idk im finding it intriguing to think about..... obviously there would have to be a lot of precautions taken and stuff but i think it would #be interesting to explore!#not sure if i should make my own guy to do/explore/write this with or make up a sneaky little backstory for an already existing guy #either way. thumbs up emoji #blah blah

i just. hit s+ rank in splatoon and i never honestly thought this would happen?? am i cool now.. do i get to be a part of the s4? do i get to be watered down to my running joke all the time?

#the last part is a joke but i do not see a whole lot of recognition of the s4 being. the s4 #like yeah they were cool formidable foes in the s1 era and skull even beat goggles despite his plot armor #but now theyre just #there??#dont get me wrong i love their existence but #it feels like theyve been watered down at least a bit #skull is always just getting lost and army is almost always either the manual guy or the curry guy #thats. thats it thats their bits #skull also has the sweets thing #rider is sometimes a considerable foe too but at the same time the s4 doesnt usually consist of him so im not sure how much to count him #that being said it is a kids manga so i dont really expect it to lean too far into the formidable foes thing #even the xblood werent that scary in the long run and ended up goofy despite being who they were #i also get it in terms of fandom #i understand the appeal of something like aloha being cutesy dumb pink guy (who maaaaaaybe commited some crimes and it shows)#i also definitely understand the appeal of army having a thing for curry as well as the manuals #the manuals can be an endearing thing to write about trust me #but i also wouldnt mind seeing more things that center around the likes of the s4 and the xblood and even the best8 being the absolute best #of the best during their prime #reminder that s+ was the highest rank around when the s4 were introduced. same with the xblood #they were the strongest players and id like to see things that center around that #id like to imagine that moving on to the square and splatsville that the s4 would have had a chance to move uo and get into xbattles #i think of all of them skull and army would have the highest chances of actually making it to xrank and being successful #but honestly if mask and aloha could probably make it pretty well too if they got off their asses #and i think rider would excel as well being rider #he has his own kind of near plot armour i think #so do most of the big teams in my opinion #theyre the sort of doomed by the plot that forces them to battle goggles at some point lmao #maybe i could use this in a fic or au one day #maybe someone already has...#(please send to me if you know of any creators who have played around with these vague ideas of strength i wanna see em)

btw i genuinely believe that if you're considering having kids or you want to have kids, you need to actually try a full-time caretaking situation and see if it works. bc i love kids i LOVE hanging out with them, and i was thinking maybe one day i might want to have my own, and then i started working as a full-time caretaker for a toddler for like six months and i was like ohhhh yeah ok so i was right this is 100% not the lifestyle for me. and that was just a full time job not a 24/7 situation.

#mine #kids #the toddler in question is my brother btw so if anything this makes me even MORE sure #hes a baby im an adult eldest daughter so there's already that pre-existing familial love and the fact that #he feels more like a child than a sibling to me.#i love him more than anything i have had to do so many insane things and had absolutely no issue with them because #it was for him (gross things; scary things; infuriating things)#but i have also learned that caring for a child is 100% not something that i would be able to keep up as a lifestyle #or even WANT to much less be GOOD at #anyway. food for thought. and for the love of god please start healing before you have kids also
