★  —  logan stankoven on what chaos!; august 15, 2024 (x)
[are you gonna brave it on your own? like, now that pavelski is gone – and I do think it is a good question from pete, of just like — just stay in that house. if he wants to go somewhere else, whatever, just stay there until he sells it or something. squatter’s rights. like, are you gonna live on your own this season?] yeah. yeah, I have my own apartment already set up, so — it’s gonna be me, uh, thomas harley and wyatt johnston all staying in the same complex, so, um, it’s nice that we’re all kind of staying near each other.
[who’s the adult in that group?] uh, I’d say harley, harley for sure. even though he’s the oldest, but, uh, yeah. he’s got an old soul.
[what’s the, uh — what’s the stars’ room like? ‘cause one of my favorite things about your group last year was, like, you have stars at basically every age level, of like, NHL experience. like, you and wyatt — awesome. guys in, like, ‘middle’ – quote-unquote middle – age. and then you’ve got the older guys like joe pavelski, tyler seguin. so what’s the dynamic in that room like between everybody at different stages in their career?]
uh, I think it’s really good. um, I mean, all the guys respect each other, which is nice. and like you said, there’s a crop of younger guys, and some older guys who’re veterans and have been around the league for a while, so. I think everyone gets along really well, um — obviously, younger guys hang out a bit more, y’know, with their group, and older guys kinda have their group. um, everyone really respects each other and that’s the main thing.
[you lived with joe pavelski, you and wyatt johnston did. was that incredible or do you feel bad that maybe you had too much fun and made him quit hockey?]
(laughs) no, it was — no, it was awesome. I’m really, really thankful that pav opened up his house to myself and let me stay there, otherwise I would’ve been probably stuck in a hotel, so. um, it was nice to kinda get to know him really well, him and his family, and he had a younger son, so it was fun hanging out with him as well.
[so, I was gonna ask about — like, what always fascinates me about when players stay with older players is, oftentimes the reason why people say this older player will be good for this younger player is ‘cause they’re parents themselves and they have kids, and what that means is — young hockey players end up staying with, like, a family. you’re not, like, just staying with joe pavelski, you’re staying with an entire family. what’s it like being around a family like that? like, I want to say it was … lee stempniak stayed with keith tkachuk and would just, like, play hockey with the kids because he’s like, ‘shit, I’m here, I like hockey, they’re running around, I’m young, I’ll do the same thing.’ what’s it like being around an actual family?]
yeah, it’s a lot of fun. um, I mean, they do — like obviously, pav and his wife did most of the cooking, but, um, me and wyatt were staying there and we try and help as much as we can could but, uh, usually, we were the ones upstairs playing mini-sticks with, uh, the younger son, nate, while they were downstairs cooking meals for us, so. um, it was a good setup, we really enjoyed it.
[two questions — how upset were you when pavs announced he was gonna retire, and number two, are you still gonna be living with him even though he’s not on the team next year?]
um, yeah, it’s sad to see him go, um, such a great career and — I think it was just more tough, like, after the fact, not being able to, uh, you know, get him that cup, I think … he more than anyone anyone deserves it, and, um, was such a great role model for me and wyatt, and, um, yeah. it’s obviously tough on the team, and us for sure, you know, being able to live around him, kinda get to know him pretty well.
[you ever get yelled at? around the house?]
no, no, not at all. he’s, uh, he’s a pretty relaxed guy, so. yeah, we really enjoyed his company.
[didn’t get grounded?] [yeah, what was the weirdest part of — because you were also, I’m sure, you’re trying to acclimate to the team, you’re trying to make a good impression on everybody. like, was there any moment where you were like, ‘shit, I don’t want to, like, make the wrong impression,’ or ‘I don’t want to do the wrong thing here.’ is it intimidating to be in that situation?]
yeah, at first I was really shy, I didn’t really want to, uh … you know, eat too much food at the house, or, um — yeah, just certain things, like, I was pretty quiet, kept to myself. but, uh, you know, as the days went on, I kinda opened up a bit and, you know, we were chatting more and it all worked out well. but at first, you’re pretty intimidated.
[and you’re like, ‘fuck I want this guy to think I’m cool. this guy’s an NHL legend, and this guy's a leader on this team, I want him to think that I’m coming in here and I’m a cool guy.’ but if you’re going in there busting chops, shooting your mouth off, he could be like, ‘cool. you don’t get to live here anymore.’]
yeah. yeah, exactly.

Bad News First, Eddie
Part One 🦇 Part Two🦇Part Three🦇FInal Part
Whew! I don’t think I’ve written this much in such a short amount of time ever in my life. The boys deserve a soft ending, I think. Enjoy!
-
It goes like this. While Eddie's been lost in his own mind, his body was living. Sort of.
Top secret government assisted living, kinda living. For a secret government hospital one would think the place would be fancier or something but it's just a regular looking hospital.
Eddie's in therapy, both for his body and mind.
He learns that the voice he heard when Eleven helped pull him from the depths of his mind was Mike Wheeler of all people, and he sounds different because he's nineteen and in college. Mike mocks him on graduating before Eddie. He regrets it when Eddie gets him into a headlock.
-
He gets to meet Eleven, outside of his mind. And he starts calling her El. Part of him can't stop thinking about Eleven as the entity he thought was going to lead him to the great beyond.
She is just a person. Sorta.
Dustin had told him there was a girl with superpowers and Eddie is glad she's real. Not that he thought Dustin would lie about this (actually, he might have thought Dustin was lying just to give him some weird version of a pep talk. Everything said before going through Watergate was suspect if he's honest).
-
When he's finally well enough to be able to leave, Doctor Owens tells him their plan.
They're gonna convince Wayne to fly to Tennessee. Eddie, El, and Mike Wheeler are gonna be flown there, too. There's a place for them to stay, to meet up with his uncle in private.
They'll stay there a month. Doctor Owens knows a doctor who can do Eddie's final evaluations before he can really go home.
That's the real kicker.
Hawkins fucking sucks. Small town, narrow views, non-conformity gets you called a Freak in the same way his Dad used to call him a fag. Like he said, fucking sucks.
But it's also the sanctuary he escaped to when he was eleven years old. It's the place where his uncle built a home for him.
So, back to Hawkins first. He can always go somewhere else later. Maybe a coastal city. See the ocean.
-
Eddie hasn't been afraid of a reaction from his uncle since that day in the hospital parking lot after he caught Eddie making out with another guy. He's got that same fear inside now, though, knowing that when El opens that door, he'll see the family he feels like he abandoned. It's not fair to himself to think that, his therapist would say, but he's allowed to have crazy thoughts right now. He's come back from being (not)dead and gets to see Wayne again for the first time. Knowing his feelings are justified doesn't make them fade, though, so he's not surprised his voice shakes when the door finally opens. “Hey Uncle Wayne.”
Wayne takes less than two seconds to reach Eddie, pulling him into a bone crushing hug. “I love you so much, you little bastard. Don’t you ever, ever do this to me again.”
It's all Eddie can do to remain upright and hug him back, clinging to his shirt like he's eleven years old again.
-
Wayne gives him an overview of what he's missed after the Upside Down came into their world (he heard that part from El and Mike, against the better wishes of Doctor Owens). Learns that Wayne and Steve live in Steve's childhood home because his parents just gifted it to him, apparently. That Wayne is only part time at the plant now due to an accident he had, and how that sparked his current living conditions.
Learns that Steve and Wayne became close because, unbelievably, Steve Harrington goes to his grave in the cemetery and cleans off graffiti on the regular.
Eddie feels a little hot under the collar because his brain reminds him of a fact he’d heard once; that the author of Frankenstein lost her virginity on her mother’s grave and a little voice in the back of his head whispers that it'd be hot for him to do the same thing with Steve on his own grave.
He has to scamper to the bathroom to scold himself in the mirror because he cannot be having these kinds of thoughts about Steve while talking to his uncle!
-
Wayne asks him, the night before their flight, “what’s something you want to do, once everything is settled and life starts to feel normal again?”
“I wanna go on a vacation. Like, a real, bona fide, family vacation.”
“Where you wanna go?”
“Think I’d like to see the ocean.”
Wayne smiles softly. “Alright. When you feel ready for it, we’ll go.”
-
“Just give him a chance, Eddie,” Wayne says randomly, as they wait to board their flight to Indianapolis.
“Give him a chance? As if I’d waste it,” Eddie feels breathless at just the thought. It's certainly not helping that stupid crush he's been harboring for years, knowing how Steve’s been treating his uncle. It was one thing to watch Steve defend Jeff that one time in high school; it's an entirely different ball game knowing he's watched over his uncle with care and devotion for years. “He took care of you when I couldn’t. He cares. I don’t think there’s a chance I wouldn’t give him.”
“How long have you had a thing for Steve?”
Eddie's brain screeches to a halt because he was didn't think anything he'd just said would give him away. He can't even think of a reply good enough to throw his uncle off his trail. “That’s not- why would you think- when have I ever!?”
“You think I wouldn’t know this about you?” Wayne chuckles.
No. No, Eddie thinks, of course you could take one look at me and know. His uncle had been able to know everything about him so effortlessly. But Eddie doesn't have to answer, so he won't. “So, we’ll be living with Steve Harrington? Will he… be okay with me being there?”
“Yeah. Steve and I had each other when we needed it. Now I need you, so Steve won’t mind at all," Wayne sounds so sure, so convinced, that Eddie is too.
Eddie smiles, pulling a strand of his hair to hide his face behind as he imagines getting to eat at the same dinner table as Steve fucking Harrington. He doesn't even mind that Wayne gives him a look at says 'you are being so obvious right now' because he is. He knows he is. He's allowed to be. Wayne's not going to mock him for his crush.
-
On the drive from Indianapolis to Hawkins, Wayne tells him the lie he told Steve. Apparently, Steve thinks Eddie's dad is coming to stay for a while. The mere thought of that sets Eddie on edge, even though he knows Wyatt Munson's still in prison. Will be for a long time, with the list of shit they got him for.
They roll into Hawkins shortly after, and while Eddie may have not been in Hawkins the last five years, and he's willing to admit that things might have changed things up since they did have to rebuild a lot of the town, he's certain that Steve's house is on the other side of it. “This isn’t the way to the Harrington house."
“Steve won’t be there. He comes here when he’s overwhelmed," Wayne says. It's still pretty jarring to hear Wayne talk about Steve like this. Like he knows him. Which, he does, obviously, because they've gotten to know each other.
Still mind blowing to think about.
“The cemetery?” is what comes out of his mouth, though.
Wayne knows what's he's really meaning to ask, though, because he shrugs and says, “we both come talk to you. Steve always starts with the bad news, you know. I think you should start with good news. Just this once." The car is slowing down, and Wayne is pointing out the front windshield, to a figure crouched down near a lone headstone. "Ah. See, there he is.”
Steve. He's too far away for Eddie to be sure sure but if anyone is still wearing bright polo shirts tucked into light wash jeans this far after leaving high school, it'd be Steve Harrington. Eddie's not even sure the car is fully stopped when he all but falls out of it.
He doesn't run to greet Steve, because that's a bit dramatic, but he's not too proud to admit he might be power walking. He slows down when he gets closer, coming to a full stop just close enough to hear Steve talking to his grave. Talking to him.
"Bad news, Eds. I'm too much of a coward to meet your old man. Afraid of what he'll sound like. Because I want him to sound like you so fucking bad it hurts. So instead of being home, I'm hiding here."
"Well, I've some bad news for you, too, Stevie. I got my voice from my mom," Eddie says, and almost instantly cringes because Wayne literally just told him to start with good news and he didn't. Eddie doesn't have much time to soak in his embarrassment, though, because Steve whips around so fast that Eddie's dizzy from the movement.
Steve looks older but it's in the way people who have seen more than their fair share of Hell look older, and less about actual aging. His eyes are wide and stunned. Eddie watches as his jaw moves but no words come out. He looks like he's seen a ghost which... ok, that's fair.
"Umm," Eddie says, a little worried he's broken him when Steve doesn't even seem to be blinking as he stares at Eddie. "Good news, Steve. I, uh, I lived. Kinda. El kinda pulled me back to the surface of my mind, or whatever, and Owens did a good job at patchin' up the goods here," he gestures to his whole body with a sweeping motion of his hand and wishes that a gate to the Upside Down would open beneath his feet and suck him back to Hell because could he be any more embarrassing?
"A-are you," he watches as Steve swallows and takes a deep breath. He's still not sure Steve has blinked yet. "real?"
"Yeah," Eddie nods, taking a few steps closer, "yeah, I'm real. I'm here and alive and real."
Steve launches himself forward then, meeting him halfway. It's so goddamn surreal be witness to how tenderly Steve actually reaches out to him, though, such a contrast to the flurry of movement he'd been just a second ago. Eddie stays still as Steve lifts shaking hands to cup his face with, pushing against his cheeks as if to test whether or not Eddie is solid. Those hands slide down, along his neck, across his shoulders, down his arms where Steve seems to need to pause and collect himself again, hands wrapped loosely around his arms just below his elbows while Steve shuts his eyes and a low, broken sound pulls itself from his throat before his eyes open again, wet with tears, and he releases Eddie just long enough to throw his arms around his neck and pull him into a hug almost as crushing as the one he shared with his uncle.
It's overwhelming in this moment. To see how much he means to Steve and not fully understand how he came to mean anything to him at all.
Doesn't stop him from wrapping his own arms around Steve's waist, though.
-
It goes like this.
He gets his own room at Harrington's house. Wayne has his own room, too. How strange it is, to not have his uncle sleeping the day away on the couch because the trailer had one room and he'd given it to Eddie.
They adjust to living together so seamlessly. Like they were always meant to be family.
They have dinner together. Real homecooked meals. Which isn't a novelty for Wayne and Steve anymore, but Eddie's memory ends five years ago, when his dinners consisted of microwavable meals or left over snacks from lunch. Wayne cooks on the days when Steve works, and Eddie helps. Gets to be taught how to cook.
For a while, Eddie is afraid to leave the house. Even knowing that Jason Carver bit the dust the same day he was supposed to also doesn’t help. He only goes places with Wayne and Steve, and even then, the double takes people send his way are enough to make him want to shrink into himself.
However, no one says anything to him. He's vaguely aware that everyone here lived through some sort of miniature apocalypse and maybe that's the kind of thing that has to happen to make a small town in Indiana change.
-
He and Steve dance around each other. He can feel it. There is something here, between them, that neither fully acknowledges.
He tries to talk to Wayne about it, but he won't give him much to go on.
"I won't be the one to say anything about what Steve thinks of you. That's gotta come from Steve. I will say this. He's waiting for you to bring it up first."
"Why does it have to be me?"
"He's had five years to gather his thoughts and emotions," Wayne levels him with a Look, "you gotta have the time to figure yourself out, too."
Well, fuck.
-
Steve waits until it's almost summer break for the kids (they’re not really kids anymore, though, but Eddie’s adjusting to that still) to ask if he's ready to face them. "It'll be a lot to handle," Steve says as he sits next to Eddie on their couch (their couch. He can't believe that's a truth in his life right now). "Eleven and Mike haven't told anyone yet, but they want to. It wasn't just Wayne and I that grieved for you."
"I know," Eddie says, "I know. I'm good. I'm alive and here and I want them to know about it."
Steve nods slowly, not fully focused on Eddie. Eddie's come to know that means he's thinking, so Eddie waits for him to speak. "Would you prefer to meet with everyone... one at a time?"
"What's the other option?"
"Well, I always host a barbeque when they all come back. Could tell everyone all at once. Like ripping off a Band-Aid."
Eddie crooks a smile because he's a bit mischievous and his mind instantly plays a scene where he walks into a backyard full of all the people he's come to care for, and who care for him, and he's trying to best to be casual about it in this fantasy. "Yeah. Let's do the barbeque thing."
-
"Bad news, Stevie," Eddie whispers as he leans against the wall next his closed door, trying not to hyperventilate. "I don't know if I can do this."
Steve reaches out and takes one of Eddie's hands in his own, linking their fingers like it's a casual thing they do all the time when it's most certainly not. "Good news, Eds. You don't have to. We didn't tell anyone you're here. You can stay in your room until they're gone, and we'll figure out another way to tell them."
Eddie squeezes his eyes shut and thinks he might be crushing all the bones in Steve's hand with how hard he's clenching it. "What if they're mad at me?"
Steve understands the real question Eddie is asking, the one he doesn't know how to phrase. "You were dead, Eds, and no one out in that yard is going to be 'mad' about any time they'd spent grieving over you. There's gonna be a lot of tears, man, like a lot. Maybe even some shouting. None of it done in anger."
"How're you sure?"
Steve lifts his unoccupied hand and cups Eddie's check. Steve’s eyes are watery and his voice is a bit choked, but he says, "because I was there. I saw them through their grief. Everyone in the backyard either loves you already, or they will."
It's so fucking intimate, how close they are, how tenderly Steve touches him. Wayne had said he'd need to take the first step, so he blames Wayne when he blurts out, "what about everyone in this room? They love me, too?"
Steve's eyes go wide in surprise before his whole face lights up in a way Eddie has never seen before. It makes Steve look younger, less haunted, and then Steve whispers, "of course I love you," like there is no other answer Steve could have given.
Eddie grabs a handful as Steve's polo shirt and pulls him close enough to kiss.
Butterflies and fireworks erupt within Eddie. Kissing Steve is so much better than he's ever let himself imagine. They're still holding hands and Steve's still got his other hand resting so softly on his cheek and Steve's lips are kinda chapped but fuck does the briefest touch of their lips together make Eddie lose all his breath.
It's not deep, or all consuming. There's not even an exchange of tongue. Steve kisses him softly, gently, pulls back to pepper little kisses all over Eddie's face that has him blushing more than he's ever done in his life, and Steve places one, two, three more kisses to his lips before pulling back to look at Eddie like he's the answer to every prayer Steve's ever had. It makes his knees weak.
"I think," Eddie pauses to lick his lips, "I think I'll be brave enough to do it if you're holding my hand."
"Just try and pry yourself away, Munson," Steve teases. "Whenever you're ready."
-
Steve was right about the tears and shouting. He was also right that no one is mad at him.
Dustin hugs him so hard they fall over in the yard and Eddie finds himself part of a dog pile that starts with crying that turns into laughter that leads back into crying, everyone grabbing at him and him grabbing back.
It's emotional. It's overwhelming. It's the best fucking day of Eddie Munson's life.
-
Doctor Owens reaches out towards the end of summer to let him know they're issuing him a new social security card. Eddie asks if he's allowed to change him name. Owens says yes.
-
"Bad news first, Eddie," Eddie says to himself as he kneels in front of his own headstone. "You've become so boring and normal, no one vandalizes your grave anymore. Good news, though. Means I can do it myself."
Before him is his headstone, a thick red line painted through his death date. Another more carefully applied line is struck through his middle name. Above it he's painted in block letters 'Wayne'.
"Eddie, come on! This road trip's gonna start without you," Steve calls from where he's leaning against the side of Wayne's pickup.
Eddie is satisfied with his work, so he abandons the paint and returns to the pickup. He slides across the bench seat, one leg pretzeled under himself to be out of the way of the gear shift. Steve follows in after, shutting the door and reaching for Eddie's hand automatically.
He's got Wayne to his left, Steve to his right, and the first family vacation he's ever taken in his life ahead of him.
Good news, Eddie Wayne Munson. Maybe everyday going forward can be the best fucking day of your life.

Let's build Jason a bookshelf !
Pride and Prejudice - homeboy is an Austen fan canonically, we need at least this one.
Hamlet -do I need to say more? Do I?
Water for the elephants: He won't admit it, but the book reminds him of Dick, and he reads it any time he misses him. It's angsty enough to maintain a front while actually being a romance with a satisfying ending.
The Outsiders: It's not just that the story is relatable and really well written; it's the themes of loyalty, grief and heroism, and the imagery and hopefulness shining through, and it's the way Johnny reminds him of Roy and sometimes, after Roy's death, he will close his eyes and picture the two of them together in an abandoned church, in that quiet space safe from the war raging outside, reading Gone With the Wind while Roy provides uncharitable commentary about the characters' decisions.
Under The Whispering Door (TJ Klune): This one was gifted to him by Tim because "the main character is an asshole ghost, I thought you might relate." Of course, these idiots could talk to eachother about emotions and go to therapy, but why do that when you can bait your brother into reading a story that will help him process a bit of his relationship with his own death and the family? The worst part is, it worked great, and Jason is so upset that it became one of his favourite books. (The part about the stages of grief is scientifically inaccurate, though. He would know.)
A compilation of TS Eliot's works: Maybe it's because I'm a big fan of TS Eliot and Jason, but every time I reread one of his poems, I think about Jason and I'm sad. The Hollow Men, in particular about the fallen soldiers from WWI, hits so hard as a Jason poem, especially when you consider he lived through the explosion but died of smoke inhalation.
Flowers for Algernon: After losing Bizarro, Jason rereads it often, sitting on rooftops, every time the sky is bright enough to see the stars. He reads it out loud, and the words burn his tongue and taste bitter every time every time, but he likes to pretend his friend is listening, and feels a little less alone.
The Oresteia: This one belongs to the list Jason has read many times and should probably read less, because he projects the tragedy onto his real life and it's a bad influence that comforts him in the idea that he was doomed from the start and might as well burn the remains of the bridges with his family. Good luck trying to pry it out of his hands though! He also loves the idea of being seen at his worst, in the midst of all his hopelessness, and being loved anyway, cradled with unwavering devotion.
Frankenstein : He's a huge Mary Shelley fan, both as a person and a writer. As for Hamlet and the Oresteia, he definitely projects maybe a little too much of some of the characters, but hey, not everybody can brag that they relate to the Creature on such a visceral level.
What else would you guys add?

The truth about Tim Miller:
A gay man whose world view led him to become a lifelong Republican has the political acumen of a Jewish man who becomes a Nazi.
But it's even worse than that: it's like a Jewish man who helped build the Nazi party. That type of person can never be one of the faces of the Democratic party because he'll never understand it. And honestly, how could he?
To be part of a persecuted minority but find your identity in an alliance with the persecutors? You're unable to grasp any kind of reality that exists outside of whiteness. Whiteness is going to always come first.
And after you spent a decade being Frankenstein, your Republican monster inevitably chased you to the only other game in town: the Democratic party.
Because the GOP never really stood for anything but racism, sexism, and chasing power, and because there's no culture, no values, and no soul, a totally insane lying lunatic was able to swoop in and demagogue his way into ruling the party with an iron fist.
And I get it, you're gay, and now your allies wants to destroy the lives of everyone like you while being happy to use you to further those ends. It's untenable. But instead of putting up a fight and trying to save your party, you go to where the grass is bluer.
One problem: the Democratic party has a soul and it's name is the BLACK VOTER.
Where you wouldn't fight for your party? We will. Where you wouldn't guard your party from demagouges? We do. We don't have the caucasity to assume that we'll be alright. We're not white. It's always existential for us. We can never take our political power for granted.
That's why when you were grooming your party to fall victim to Trump, Bernie Sanders was over here falling flat on his face. Hillary built with us. Biden spent his whole life with us. They have equity. If you want anything over here in Dem land? You need us. Being a former Republican, you have no idea how we work because YOUVE NEVER HAD TO LISTEN TO US.
I'll get to how I know YOU, Tim Miller, have never listened to us in just a second.
That's also why we kill off culture vultures. We're so sensitive to anyone who wants anyone who wants to use us for their gain when we know they'll never get in the trenches with us. And we see it coming a mile away.
That's why we never fall for Trump scams in trying to astroturf black support. Not only does our life depend on us seeing through it, we're disgusted by it.
Now you've abandoned your party. Despite all the money you've made grifting off the party, you have one bad day in your new Democratic life, and now you're trying to rally us to abandon our decades long investment in Joe Biden because he needed a nap, a Joe Biden who beat Trump when you losers couldnt, and you are flumoxed as to why we won't give up like you.
It's because you don't belong here. You have no equity. You haven't built anything with us. You've never been in the trenches. You're not in touch with us. You don't know the community. And more than anything, you don't have the first clue about Black culture.
And in the past 3 days, with endless Black people, specifically Black women, telling you you're wrong, you have no idea what you're talking about, and that you need to LISTEN to Black people, your every response has been the white privileged casually racist response of "I know the Black community better than you."
You don't.
Hell, the idea of representation never even occurred to you until you adopted a Black kid and you're walking through the toy aisle and couldn't find any black dolls. If you couldn't grasp that until it was forced upon you, what makes you think you know us better than we know ourselves? We've been black our whole lives.
And how do I know you'll NEVER have a place in our party?
759.8K
You adopted a little Black girl and still don't even bother to listen to Black women, let one Black people.
In the words of Kendrick Lamar: You're not a colleague. You're a fucking colonizer.

Do you have any hcs about whole/mind Jekyll :0 (I've fallen in love with him 😔)
OF COURSE! you basically just opened my ramble can >:3
First of all! Like I mentioned before, Whole Jekyll is the closest to Jekyll Pre-split (and may actually just be him pre-split), but kinda fucked up from being trapped in the mind scape. He yearns for his halves to combine again so he can live somewhat normally again.
So, Whole Jekyll, or Harry (as Mind Lanyon calls him, and I may start too, lmao), can manipulate the mindscape to a decent degree, though he can't get rid of the nightmares. He does help keep them locked away though when stray ones escape their confinement (of course this was before Hyde unleashed them, which made Harry VERY upset). He can also enter and somewhat interact with the memories, letting himself take Jekyll's place and feel the things around him in the memory (to a certain degree). The ones he visits most often are the relationship with Lanyon in university (any of them, but especially the more tender and physical, innocent touch-heavy ones), the break up, and the aftermath of the potions creation. He sweeps these memories quite consistently, trying to see where he went wrong and if there's anything he can use to fix this. Of course, he should know there's not by now, but he desperately clings to that hope. Plus, he doesn't have much else to do.
He tries to get the attention of Jekyll and Hyde, but can't seem to make himself heard by them, though he believes he's able to ever so slightly sway their thoughts or words every once in a while. When not perusing memories, trapping nightmares, or talking with Mind Lanyon, he's usually always watching what Jekyll and/or Hyde are doing. Generally, he's trying to sway them in any way possible that could bring them closer to being whole again, but he never succeeds. Sometimes, he feels so drained that all he can do is silently watch.
Also, since I'm a sucker for Scottish Jekyll (as we've seen), he speaks with a bit of an accent that he can't seem to drop, no matter how much he sits through the memories of Lanyon's english lessons. It's not super strong, but it's definitely there, and he'll slip in a few Scottish words every once in a while. It also tends to get a bit worse when he's revisiting older memories. The accent kinda annoys mind Lanyon sometimes, but he's learned there's truly nothing to do about it (he's certainly tried)
Onto Mind Lanyon, Harry tends to hang out in different areas than Lanyon, the main ones being the subconscious, where he watches Jekyll and Hyde (he can't seem to go any higher than the deeper parts of the subconscious, though he hasn't really tried too hard to) and deeper in the unconscious, where most of the nightmares lurk. Of course, Harry acts as a sort of nightmare exterminator to Mind Lanyon, who's literally terrified of them. (Also, I firmly believe that it was Harry that found all of Mind Lanyon's little gentleman ghosts to keep him company, since  Mind Lanyon complained about how little he saw him).
Anyways, mind Lanyon is a good bit different from real Lanyon, but Harry finds him to be good company when he needs it. Mind Lanyon has this uncanny calming effect on him, despite his oddities and prissy, distant attitude. Mind Lanyon would never intentionally hurt Harry, he likes him too much (and he refuses to be stuck talking to no one but Mind Frankenstein). Back to the reason I mentioned the areas Harry hangs in tho! Mind Lanyon spends most of his time in the library and Hall of memories, half the time just looking for Harry, though he claims he's just keeping an eye out for nightmares that slipped through (they both know that's mostly a lie tho), and the other half just reading.
mind Lanyon will sometimes fuss over Harry's hair, complaining about it being an ungentlemanly rats nest. He has also tried fixing it a few times, but it never worked.
I'm thinking of a few story ideas with him (ik, dangerous since I've already got a story I'm working on). In one, at some point Harry is actually able to stumble across Hyde (or Hyde stumbles upon him). Don't know where in the timeline it'd be set, but meeting him would definitely confuse and freak Hyde out lmao. Otherwise, I have another little idea where Harry's able to force himself up into the conscious, where he's finally able to talk to the other two and hang out in the mirrors and such. Don't know if ill do anything with those ideas, but they're there!
Omg!!! Also!!! I forgot about the strings lmao. Any major conflict between Jekyll and Hyde, or super high stress moments, cause the corresponding (depending on which half is suffering) strings to tighten and tug a bit. This makes the bandages nice, considering how often that's gotten lately (and even before, with Jekyll's workaholic tendencies). He can still usually move his arms quite freely, but sometimes the pulling is bad enough that he can't. He's tried to follow where the strings are pulling him, but at a certain point the pulling stops all together, and he's left a no true destination. Otherwise, they're ethereal, so they usually stay short enough to keep out of his way.
Also, he kept a journal for a very good while (actually managed to start a second one), but eventually his writings became increasingly nonsensical and messy. Paranoid doodles and ramblings began covering pages, to the point where he simply stopped writing in it bc he didn't like seeing the pages. It's still around the mindscape though, somewhere...
OKAY, THAT'S ALL FOR NOW, honestly that was less of HC and more of me just info dumping BUT I SHAN'T APOLOGIZE. Anyways, thank you if you read all this, he's one of my new babies, I love his tortured little soul <3 THANK YOU FOR THE ASK :33

Kinktober '23 | DAY 2: The Bet and the Costume Contest
Tumblr media
Prompt: RolePlay
Summary: You enter into a bet with your couples costume contest partner.
Warnings: SMUT!! Roleplay, costumes, PinV, upskirt, frat!Peter
Word Count: 1.4k
A/N: Day 2, here we go!!! I did watch Buffy as a kid but have yet to watch properly as an adult despite it being on my list of things to do but hopefully still reads okay. Also I just rushed the second half of this so apologies if the tense is messed up.
Tumblr media
It was just your luck. Of course you would have been paired with him. It was Brianna’s fault really. She was the one who had come up with this whole idea of partnering with your Theta Beta Pi brothers to do a couples costume contest as part of this year's Halloween Bash. All the girls had put their names into a hat and each of the boys took turns picking a name out and of course you had been picked by Peter Parker. You had decided to go as Buffy and Angel from Buffy the Vampire Slayer or at least you thought you had until you turned up at the house in a mini skirt, wooden stake in hand and a bleached blonde, leather clad Parker, ran down the stairs and straight into you.
“THERE’S MY BUFFY!” he beamed.
“What did you do to your hair?!”
“I’m Spike. I thought it would be more fun. Plus I figured we’d be a shoe in to win due to my dedication alone.” He said pointing to his head.
“Oh my god!” You sighed, rolling your eyes.
As the night went on you had to admit, the blonde, although it did make him look quite sleazy, was actually quite hot. You also had to commend his dedication to the character and the bit as he kept shouting out Spike quotes the whole night. “AND YOU’RE WHAT? SHOCKED AND DISAPPOINTED? I’M EVIL!” He shouted when the two of you won at beer pong against a pair dressed as Mario and Princess Peach.
“Cup of tea, cup of tea, almost got shagged, cup of tea.” he said as he handed out drinks to your small congregated group as you sat sharing a joint in the garden.
“First I’ll kill her, then I’ll save her.” he said, wrapping an arm around you and dipping you over it as he showed off in front of his fraternity brothers.
“PETER!” You squealed.
“Peter? Who is this Peter? There’s no Peter here, my name is Spike.”
He had called you Buffy for the whole night too. “Where has my Buffy gone?” he would cry as he moved through rooms in the house looking for you. “BUFFY? Excuse me, have you seen the chosen one?” he asked one girl.
“What Harry Potter?” she responded. He just bared his fake fangs and hissed at her.
“Yo Parker!” One of his frat brothers, Josh, called to him across the room, directing him back to the group of you sat around the coffee table in the living room.
You budged up a little on the seat, giving him room to squeeze in beside you (he won’t sit anywhere else).
“So Parker, you’re pretty confident about winning this costume contest.” Josh said. He’s dressed up as Sonny, Alannah is somewhere else in the house dressed as Cher.
“I mean, yeah. Look at us man.” Peter shot back confidently.
“You willing to put a bet on it?” Josh taunted.
“Oh we are not winning.” You mumbled from your seat beside Peter. The only thing he’s got going for him is the hair, apart from that the two of you look basic compared to other costumes, there’s a really good Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein hanging around somewhere.
“Then you shouldn’t have any trouble with placing a bet then.” Josh drunkenly goaded.
“What and you think you’re gonna win?” You said back.
“Oh no, I know we aren’t going to win. I’m talking about you two. You know Parker’s always had a crush on Buffy.”
At Josh’s words Peter squirmed a little beside you but tried his best to hide it, eager to see how you’d react.
“Is that so?” You questioned.
“Yup!” Josh said confidently. “If you guys win, Parker gets his dream come true and gets to fuck Buffy.” He throws out.
“Fine. Deal.” Your drunken brain responded hastily. There’s no way you guys are winning. “Okay and what if we lose?”
“Okay, what do you want?” Josh asked on Peter’s behalf. He’s being uncharacteristically quiet for this whole exchange.
“If we lose the contest, which we will,” you reassure, “you guys have to bring a litre bottle of vodka to every party just for me, until the end of the year.”
“Deal.”
“And by end of the year I mean school year, not just Christmas break.”
Peter and Josh hesitate a sec but Josh is quick to solidify the deal, holding his hand out for you to shake. And that was how you ended up with Peter Parker tied to your bedframe with the tie from your bathrobe. You were sure it had to have been rigged, there really was no way you should have won.
“Peter, I feel silly.”
“Just go with it, I promise it’s all good.”
“Pete, I haven’t even seen that much of the show.”
“It’s vampires and magic and supernatural stuff, it’s all cool just, make it up.”
‘Fine’ you thought as you rolled your eyes.
“I’ve been checking Giles’s books and there's only one way to cure this type of evil.” you said as you began to slowly walk across the room to him. He gives you a devilish look and you have to admit, paired with the blonde hair it does make you weak in the knees.
He watches you closely as you come to a stop beside the bed. His eyes follow your fingers as you slide them up your legs and underneath your skirt, hooking your thumbs into your underwear and pulling them down your legs. He goes to frustratedly moan as you tease him but the moment his mouth is wide enough, you shove your panties into his mouth.
“UUUhhh FuuCK!” his voice mumbles into the fabric as his head lulls back.
You climb up onto the bed, hooking your leg over his hips to straddle him. You reach behind you for the stake, sitting at the end of his bed, running it down his chest. “You need to hold still okay. Do you trust me?” you asked him in character. He nodded.
When your hand trails down to undo his trousers he is hard and he whispers slightly as his sensitive tip brushes past the fabric of his boxers as you pull them down far enough to release him. You reach for a condom, rolling it down onto his length before you lift yourself to hover over him and slowly lower yourself onto his cock.
His eyes watch intensely as his length slips out of view underneath your skirt. With the way he’s looking at you, you have to admit, maybe you were getting more into this than you first thought you would. He moans as you ride his cock, grinding your hips down into his pelvic bone before lifting back off again, his skin dragging across your slit and it feels so good. His cock feels so good as he fills you out.
You know you told him to stay still but you don’t have it in you to punish him when he starts rolling his hips and thrusting up into you. You quickly realise though he’s close, his thrusts getting quicker as he chases his high. He mumbles words around your panties. You are reluctant to do it but you remove them from his mouth to hear what he has to say.
“Thank you.” he sighs first and just pants for a little bit between grunts as you continue to ride his dick, your walls tightening with every up lift before you slam your hips back down again.
“Fuck, fuck, yes Buffy. Fuck that evil out of me.” he says and if it wasn’t for the fact you were actually so close you would have just got off and left him hanging but you are so close now you want your own finish. “Lift your skirt, let me see.” he asks. You raise your eyebrows at him. “Please.” he quickly adds and you oblige lifting up the sides of your skirt so it sits above your hips. “Oh yeah.” he moans. “Touch yourself.” he says and you don’t know why but you do as he says, your fingers moving to rub circles over your clit.
It sends you over the edge and he cries out “OH FUCK!” as your walls clamp down around him.
You can feel his hips stutter, once, then twice, then he stills as you feel him fill the condom inside you.
He lets out a long sigh of relief as you begin to ease yourself off him. “What do you say, Parker?”
“Thank you Miss Summers.” You just roll your eyes.

you know, i was thinking about frank and his fixation on the Frankenstein's Monster character, and how it's always been this thing with him. I think it started by liking the character itself, especially the old hollywood frankenstein films. The drama and the story telling of the old films is alluring and the morbidity of the story Frankenstein itself is alluring, and we know that he loves the dark stuff.
Though, i really think that all started to shift at some point, once he started breaking bones and specifically after the accidents that threatened his ability to continue playing. So when I heard him talking about finding these frankenstein guitars and those being the ones he loves the most, it made me start to think: gosh does he see himself a little as a frankenstein, sort of like the guitars he collects, after everything?
i mean, we've heard it multiple times: he believes the only thing he's good for is making music and if he doesn't have that, he's nothing. He can't be there for his family and he can't be there for himself. We know just how hard he was taking the surgeries on his wrists. Heard him talk about his fear of never being able to play anymore and time and time again, we hear him talk with affection and wonder about some of his favorite guitars being what he likes to call frankenstein guitars, that he finds left in small music shops.
It makes sense though, doesn't it? He had to be stitched back together and made to work again. Learn to live again, struggling and fighting for it, and when he finds these mix matched guitars built with spare parts he finds them perfect because they play the way only they can play and it's exactly what he needs. He craves loving the weird mashed together creations, after all, isn't that what happened to him? a frankenstien collecting instruments he sees himself in, he sees music as his only real purpose here and maybe two frankensteins can carry that out together.

-Stitched Harmony-
While I'm thinking about story plot for my ancient sun deity in depression, I caught a new hyperfixation thanks to @clown-sip. So yes, AU in "Frankenstein's Monster" aesthetics.
TW for grimdark themes
Where does it all start? During "The Cutie ReMark", Twilight gets lost in the time stream, and Spike and Starlight once again get to the moment when the Rainbow should make a Sonic Rainbow. Spike does not have time to stop her, however, during the ensuing fight, he manages to injure Starlight with his fiery breath, which causes her to fall from the clouds and, unable to teleport due to pain shock, presumably gets herself killed. So the poor dragon gets stuck in a modified timeline, not knowing what to expect.
However, being Twilight's assistant, he understands something about science. And with age, he develops this skill, becoming a real scientist, thereby making his way into the service of Princess Celestia, who urgently needs people who can help her deal with chaos that has reigned in Equestria with villains's arrival of villains.
And one day he comes up with an idea. If fate cannot bring his friends together, he actually can do it himself.
No matter what.
And so, there's our main characters!
Tumblr media
When Spike was working on his scientific skills, he took on a pseudonym "Lichtstein". While serving under Canterlot, he greatly helped technological progress of Equestria, including military industry. He's not very talkative and doesn't let many ponies near him. It's quite difficult for him to make acquaintances, since he's not too friendly, and many are repelled by his general appearance. His social circle consists of his colleagues in laboratory, the Princess and some servants and guards of the castle, as well as... Test subjects.
Spike crossed the moral line a long time ago, and in an attempt to help Celestia and bring back his friends, he committed many immoral and unethical acts against other poniesans creatures. He's not proud of it, but doesn't regret what he did either. This doesn't mean that he doesn't feel sorry for some of his victims, but he believes that this is a necessary sacrifice in achieving his goal. Besides, he is not afraid to act as a "guinea pig" in many experiments himself, he considers it only fair.
Tumblr media
During his many travels, Spike tried his best to reunite his friends. He really wanted to restore the connection between them and himself, but this new terrible world distorted his personality almost beyond recognition. This drove him into despair, which eventually pushed him into a radical solution to the problem. If he can't get them to be friends again, he will reunite them in a different way.
This is how Harmony Spark appeared: creature sewn from parts so dear to Spike ponies, and resurrected with help of magic and science. Despite the fact that Harmony's brain consists of parts of the brains of the Mane Six, she completely lacks any memories of their lives. She is mute and contacts few of her acquaintances only through notes. She has no idea what the world outside the lab looks like, and she learns about it only through the stories of those few ponies who are allowed to talk to her. However, her main source of communication is, of course, Spike.
Spike often tells Harmony about what his friends were like. Like, very often. He talks about the countless journeys they have gone through, about so many joys and hardships they have endured. She doesn't remember any of this, of course, but she likes his stories. This fuels her fire of curiosity and her desire to learn as much as possible about the outside
It can be noticed that in addition to the parts of the main six, dragon wings are present in Harmony. These are Spike's wings, which he decided to give up for her, as in course of some events preceding this, both RD and Fluttershy lost their wings. All for his dear friends. Or in this case just one friend? Spike really wants to believe that in the back of Harmony's mind there are still his girls alive somewhere…

DESCENDENTS OCS??????
YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I already tagged you in another ask about them so I'm gonna use this one to ramble for a little bit about them :333
When I was talking about Oscar, I brought up his relationship with his father(s). And there's a reason for that! Because he only technically has two. I, personally, don't think that the barrier blocks out ALL magic, because in a world where magic is so intrinsically tied into some things' biology, it would be insane cruelty and straight-up mass murder to block out magic, completely. Only people that really pay attention or experience this first-hand are actually aware of it, such as Soren (and the Snow Queen), who is still magically immune to the cold under the barrier, or Dr. Facilier, who has had his Shadow for so long that it's now permanently tied to his being and still has it under the barrier (which I actually included in a fic I wrote about a month back). Oogie Boogie is another character who is held together by almost entirely magic, and as such, wouldn't be able to live without access to it.
So, when the Isle and Auradon both started experiencing a baby boom, Oogie Boogie didn't wanna be left-out.
And he Frankenstein-ed a child using some of his own bugs and fabric, dead body parts, and a bunch of electricity.
With the help of Dr. Facilier.
Making Dr. Facilier his second father.
And Freddy and Celia his half-sisters.
(Oscar did get to grow up alongside other kids, by the way, it was just that every few years his human body parts needed to be replaced.)
In my version of D1 that includes Soren, they blackmail the Core Four into sneaking them into Auradon with them in exchange for not reporting their plan to steal the wand to the people that come to pick them up. The whole time he's Auradon, he's communicating with Uma through a pager that he got Toby to fix for him. Post-D1, Soren talks to Ben about getting some more kids across the barrier sooner rather than later, but he's backs himself into a corner in the process:
Do they vouch for bringing Uma, Harry, and Gil over, do they vouch for bringing Hansen over, or do they vouch for bringing Toby over?
Or, in other words:
Do they vouch for bringing their crew over, do they vouch for bringing their best friend over, or do they vouch for bringing their brother over?
The conversation with Ben happens during the post-Coronation party, after they revealed their identity to save Auradon, and it's the first time they are actually admitting to themselves that they do feel love for people, and that it's something they can't fight, anymore. Furthermore, it's something that they can't continue to lie to themselves about, anymore.
And immediately after coming to this realization, they have to choose between the people that they love the most.
It completely fucks up his view of love for a hot minute, since, when they ultimately choose their crew (because they're the ones he's been in contact with the whole time), he ends up convincing himself it's because he loves his crew more. And he feels so bad about that. It also continues to fuck up his relationship with Gil, because, in his head, Gil should be with someone who loves him above all, and obviously that can't be him, because he prioritized his loyalty to his crew and Uma over the other people he's close to when convincing Ben to bring more people over. He has no idea that he can love people equally while also loving them in different ways, or that there's not necessarily anything wrong with loving someone more than someone else.
In terms of a smaller moment, post-D3, when Hansen comes over to Auradon and starts college, I'd like to imagine that he applies to a school in Arendelle in order to make-up for the trouble his father caused. And, much to his surprise, Anna actually invites him to live in the castle with them while he's in school, because she wants to give him a chance.
(Kira develops the WORST crush on him and Adrien sits and waits to see how long it'll take for her to realize Hansen's gay since she refused to listen to Adrien the first time he tried to tell her.)
In relation to Kira and Adrien, I like to believe that Captain Hook is a good father, so he's actually one of the first OVs to settle down in Auradon post-D3. So, when they find out that Hansen knows a guy (Soren) who works with a guy (Harry) who's Captain Hook's son, they take the first break from school to visit Soren together and track down Captain Hook. They geek out SO HARD, BRO. It catches Hook COMPLETELY off-guard. The first thing he says when they finally shut up long enough for him to get a word in is, "Is this* allowed?"
*Auradonians being huge fans of villains.
Tamara doesn't like Peter Pan. Tinker Bell does not like that Tamara doesn't like Peter Pan. They regularly fight about this.
In that regard, Tamara's relationship with her mother is strained. Tamara is half-human, which is how Tink was able to have a daughter in the first-place, so she feels like her mother doesn't entirely understand what it's like for her in Auradon or Pixie Hollow. (Me? Projecting my identity issues onto my OCs? More likely than you'd think.) Additionally, since fairies (from Neverland) having relationships with humans is a fairly new trend, with kids spawning from those relationships being even newer. Most fairies that do go that route end up leaving behind Pixie Hollow altogether. So Tink doesn't really have any idea what she's doing. And then there's the fact that they're two different types of fairies, so Tink really has no idea how to bond with her. Tink once asked Tami to wear green on family day, since she was under the impression that Tami usually wore purple/red (again, I can't decide between fast flying or fauna) around campus. Tami wears green around campus, though, (which is representative of the fact that she actually does really want to be closer with her mother, she just has no idea how to achieve that, either), and decides that, since Tink had the audacity to ask (Tami had no idea Tink didn't know she wore green around campus), she wore purple/red on purpose. (If she were to wear purple, I'd like to imagine the extra cherry on top would be that she asked to borrow some of Mal's clothes alskdjf. [Within my AU of Regime Change, people that heard and saw their fight on family day think that, surely, things can't get any worse, but then two family days later, she introduces her new boyfriend, Harry Hook alksdjf].)
Of the Tempo Trio (who are definitely a polycule of some kind, by the way), Mimi has the easiest time finding a music following in Auradon. Her more pop-y songs land easy and people who are really dedicated venture into the rest of her music from there. Oscar is in the middle in terms of difficulty, since her folk-punk music intrigues some older people, but overall does so-so at reaching his target audience. Sika has the hardest time since his sound and lyrics are either very harsh to match the Isle or very personally concerning to match his attitude about life. Mimi, when she decides to take a gap year to focus on her music career post-D3, ends up getting them to perform with her from time-to-time, which always ends up helping them grow their following the most.
Soren's title of 'Prince' can't technically be taken away from him once he enters Auradon, because, in my head, it's not technically a real title. It's really more of a human-term that was applied his mother ('Queen,' in her case) to better understand what exactly it was her mother did. Soren would keep the power that came with taking over his mother's role no matter what, so the title is really meaningless. She says this to Audrey at some point in either the Soren-insert version of Wicked World or D2 and Evie just feels so vindicated while Audrey is just so pissed.
I think that's all I've got that I wanna share for now?
Again, I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO sorry for responding to this so late. I hope both you and @bassguitarinablackt-shirt enjoyed this!!! ^-^

Bonding Over Burns
You know, like you do when your part of the Endeavour Family.
You remember when the relevant Todoroki was Shoto? Good times, good times.
I've talked on and off about Endeavour, and how soft the story has gone of him, and to a lesser extent Dabi, and how things should be harder on him as well, if for different reasons, but I just want to talk... broadly a bit. This is going to get a bit rambly, and mostly focus on the clusterfuck of the latest chapter.
Hmm. Let's start here: I actually like Dabi. He's insane, and I wouldn't want to be in the same room with him in real life, but he's a fun character who can drive great plot. In all honesty, I want him to win, even now, and I'm not even guilty about it, because unlike Shigaraki, his goal is literally just, 'Fuck Endeavour', and that's something society could survive, and honestly should.
So, with the background of me being a long-time Dabi fan, I say this: this is shit. There's been so much Todoroki content recently, so much of it focused around Dabi, and yet this is what we get.
A lot of the discontent is around the Quirk Awakening, and while I have problems with the ice part of it, which I will get to in a sec, but the Awakening itself isn't a problem. Rather, with how the story is arranged now I don't see a problem with it, but in the first place I think he should have gotten it way back when when he lit himself on fire.
In any normal circumstance, there's no way Dabi should be alive. As the story is, that's being explained as AFO's interference... but that goes into the problem of AFO being everywhere, and everything, that Hori has been thrusting at us since Kamino. Making AFO the cause of every damn problem in the story is a problem in itself. So, how would he be alive now?
*jazz hands* Quirk Awakening.
Not ice, but something tailored to his situation, something that to solve the problem of, 'how in the ever loving fuck are you alive?', because even before he started cosplaying Skeletor Dabi was living with a level of burns that would have serious day to day life consequences, if he even managed to survive getting them. To be blunt, Frankenstein's Monster, which is made out of corpses, is better put together than Dabi's body is. If Dabi's Quirk is too strong for a human body, then give him something to let him survive it; advanced regeneration, the ability to just shrug off burns, being fueled by his fire, something.
You see, Quirk Awakening themselves are... acceptable, as a concept. They're something that makes sense in a manga like this, as a power up, and especially as the 'lore' of it has developed and it's become clear that Quirks themselves can change over time, even if the logic and science of the setting has become softer and softer as time passed. The fact that, as people have put it, Dabi awakening because of how Endeavour treated him 'proving him right' is kind of missing the point, because, well, he always was.
In the coldest, brutalist, most devoid of mercy or empathy kind of way, Endeavour has always been right about this. Quirk marriages are objectively horrible, but they're also the path to stronger Quirks. Like, hell, look at Bakugou. By the logic of the setting, Bakugou might as well be from a Quirk Marriage for how well it was set up for him, because he is the exact sort of multiplicative product Endeavour desired, but he happened by sheer dumb luck instead of primitive, inefficient, and cruel eugenics. We damn well know that his parents wouldn't have kept going for another child if his Quirk was just really slimy skin or something.
Dabi getting a Quirk Awakening doesn't prove shit about Endeavour's methods because Shoto already exists, the very product he desired. Hell, Dabi already unlocked super blue flames by pushing himself to limit, because again, while the mental, social, and ethical consequences of pushing someone to their limits and beyond are very valid, in a manga like this going beyond your limits is exactly how you get a power up, something we've seen time and time again in the story; Endeavour isn't making anything new, he's just tainting an already known phenomena with his abuse. It's not worth the price, but the result itself can happen under this kind of logic.
But, do you know what the first thing I thought was when Dabi started shooting ice?
How convenient it is, that it happens just in time to save Endeavour. Because that's what the ice is ultimately for: to protect Endeavour from the consequences of his actions because, without that, at the very least his arm would probably be gone by now. The ice literally appeared just in time to protect Endeavour from any career ending injuries. Dabi would die without being able to be redeemed. Endeavour himself would be dead, which is seeming more and more unlikely to happen at this point.
Making Rei 'important'? This HImura clan stuff? Please, don't insult me; it is dead obvious that all of that is nothing more than yet another last minute justification to push what narrative Hori wants to tell against the actual story he's made.
How is anyone alive now, when Dabi is literally a giant bomb radiating lethal amounts of heat? Rei is randomly strong enough to counter that, an actual suicide attack with smidgen more of Dabi's ice being used against him to help everyone else at his expense.
Actually, let's talk about Rei: can we replace her without a cardboard cutout with the catchphrase of, 'Endeavour isn't that bad!' yet? Because this isn't a character with agency. This isn't even a proper character. She has never been, on screen, shown with any real agency as a human being. Actually, let me put it like this: do you know when she was shown with the most respect as a human being, as a person with her own will and desires?
When she was burning Shoto. That is how badly her inclusion in this manga is; Rei's best showing is her having a psychotic break.
Sweet burning fuck that is pathetic.
Let's be blunt here: does Rei have any culpability? Technically, yes. Realistically? Honestly? Fuck no. Rei is a broken woman who was sold to Endeavour. He spent his entire marriage growing more aggressive, more dominating, to the point where the only time she did something of her own free will, without the approval of Endeavour, is have a psychotic break. He was the one with power in the relationship, who made the choices, who made the Todorokis into this. And, just to be clear? He did, in fact, hit her.
The lion share of blame for Dabi is with Endeavour, followed by Dabi himself. Rei's share is fucking miniscule. And yet she has to run into the death fire to apologize to the mad, suicidal terrorist for everything.
Meanwhile, why is everyone else here? Why is Natsuo and Fuyumi here? Why are they, the people who were literal children at the time, feeling guilty? Their father had all the power, all the control, wh fuck could they do then? Or even now! They're even weaker than Rei, and Rei needs a pointless, out of nowhere power up just to survive. They should be dead long before the point they could even have this conversation. Actually, could we even have a real talk if they want their 'big brother' back, instead of it just being assumed that of course they want their crazy, murderous relative back, who they were seperated from as different, inferior, in childhood, who didn't know how to interact with them, and who they grew up without their entire lives? Them ultimately settling on wanting him back is fine, in theory, but it shouldn't be this assumed thing, they should be conflicted over this, and have had long talks about, in the same way they should have about Endeavour himself.
Hell, from the other end, why does Dabi care? Why is he going, 'Fuyumi-chan'? They were never more important than him than his ambition to live up to his father's dream, it was all that he lived for. There's every indication he's left all that behind for his hate; let him. Let Dabi be evil, let him be unredeemed!
But that's the thing: it's not about Dabi, and what he should think. It's not about Natsui, or Fuyumi, and what they should think, and we damn well know it's not about Rei, because nothing is ever about her. It's still about Endeavour. All of this, all of this, is still about god damn Endeavour.
Dabi being an actually unforgivable person makes Endeavour look bad. If Dabi dies, gloriously filled with his incandescent hatred, it means that Endeavor can never 'fix' what was done to him, he can never be redeemed from his crime, his apology can never be accepted. This is, of course, exactly the reason why Dabi is trying to do it at all, to rob Endeavour of the peace that could give him, and why Hori won't allow him to do it, to let him succeeding in taking that away from his father.
Everyone being here to claim responsibility for making Dabi who he is? Is taking that much blame away from Endeavour, lightening the guilt he bears. Even if they're logically wrong, when the whole family is there, working together to 'fix' things, it gives the impression that they 'broke' it together, and thus Endeavour's sins are lessened in the eyes of the viewers.
All of this, all of them; Shoto, Dabi, Fuyumi, Natsu and Rei, all of them exist for one thing only at this point: to tell the story of the great and glorious Endeavour. His rise to success, his overcoming of the odds, his wonderful redemption story. Everything they do is to prop up the man who abused every single one of them, and it's sickening.

so i’ve been thinking
i know, dangerous
in all honesty, what is our cast of characters supposed to do about Fukuchi..?
i’ve already made my rant analysis (that you can read here if you’re interested) about how Fukuchi is really just an old man with a time traveling stabby stick that makes for a horrible OP villain. up until now, when presented with such a crisis, either soukoku or shin soukoku will partner up and defeat the big bad… or at least they had weaknesses, like Dostoy not anticipating Dazai was going to find him at the end of the cannibalism arc, or how most of his henchmen and underlings were eventually foiled or defeated to come to a satisfying conclusion that set us up for the next story beat. even Ranpo has his weaknesses, and his whole character is centered around knowing everything
well, we know for a fact that that’s not going to happen this time considering our usual duos and their friends are having some technical difficulties at the moment...
so that makes me think…
who is left to fight at this point..?
obviously we have Fukuzawa, who is currently fighting, and Atsushi is... around. but, the character on my mind the most at this point is Mori, since he’s been missing for quite a long time now. this by itself isn’t a big deal considering side characters often go literal years without any story time. however, this becomes a bit more interesting considering what’s happening to the rest of the Mafia and the world right now in bsd
so, i’m going to analyze some pieces that might be added to this 4d chess board of a story line. including more than just Mori. however, i’ll be talking about Mori quite a bit in this post, like almost half of it actually, so if you don’t feel like reading this, that’s fine
🔺minor spoiler warning for chapters 30/31, 50, and 84, and Dead Apple and Stormbringer. also spoilers for basically the entire current arc up to the most recent chapter as of writing this (ch 105) since i talk about most of the main events/situations🔻
I’ll start by taking a moment to talk about the European android everyone knows and loves(?) from Stormbringer…
Adam Frankenstein
Ah yes, the android, the myth, the legend, and the being that made me cringe so hard i got face cramps the first time I read him chewing and swallowing multiple pieces of gum like candy. That Adam.
We never see him or even hear of him in any other part of the story, including the main manga. He’s kind of just in Stormbringer and never brought up again, supposedly living somewhere in Europe doing android detective things. We haven’t even gotten a hint or any foreshadowing that he might show up in the main story, either. The reasons I think he may show up now are kind of simple to be honest.
He’s an android. That’s it. He’s, y’know, not made of flesh… And he doesn’t have blood.
What makes blood important right now? The vampires. Considering we know that Bram can transform a human, alive or otherwise, into one of his minions by ingesting their blood, we can probably assume that this is how it works for the other vampires as well. Therefore, Adam is at a major advantage against such an enemy since 1. his body is made of metal that couldn’t be damaged by Piano Man’s wire guillotine or regular bullets and survived the heat of Chuuya’s first Corruption with minimal damage, and 2. he doesn’t have blood. He does have this blue substance that I assume acts something like oil or fuel for his body, but since he’s most definitely not human, this doesn’t count as blood for him. He can’t be turned into a vampire. I don’t even think Fyodor could hack him or put a virus into his system, like he did to the Moby Dick (which is technically an ability that got turned into a mechanical ship). If anything, the vampires would just break their fangs trying to bite into his neck.
Since he’s in Europe, which is where our two jail kings and their entourage are, it’s more likely that Adam will appear in the jail scene with Dazai and Dostoy. I’d honestly be happy to see this because it would be interesting to see how he and Chuuya would interact now after so many years apart if Chuuya is ever cured of his, y’know, vampirism. Since he most definitely isn’t going to just die. It would also introduce a new character for people who haven’t read Stormbringer, which could reignite interest in this god forsaken arc for those of us who have given up on getting more than a few cliffhangers and a reminder that Fukuchi sucks every new chapter (trust me, I feel you).
Moving on to another semi-short analysis for a character we haven’t seen outside of light novels. And the mildly disappointing adaption of one said novel.
Shirase Buichirou
Another character who is also in Europe, specifically London, is Shirase. At the end of Stormbringer, he and Chuuya parted ways on somewhat good terms when Shirase heard of a group called the Stray Sheep in Europe, which he joined. Nothing has been heard of him since, similar to Adam. The only reasons I bring him up here is that 1. he’s in Europe, same as Adam and the jail kings, and 2. he is also connected to Chuuya (and is familiar with Dazai, to some degree, but this isn’t important).
I’m hesitant to say he’ll appear in the story considering we truly have no idea what the state of the BSD world is right now. Japan is overrun with vampires, and there’s probably nobody left there who hasn’t been bitten unless they’re a major character in the story (that hasn’t already been bitten). We know that the vampires have been moving out by disguising themselves with sunglasses and stuff to hide their eyes and complexion and getting on planes. Where those planes went to, we only know it’s somewhere overseas. There’s also mentions of fictional countries that only exist within the BSD world, similar to Kenji’s home town being a fictional one from a novel written by the irl Kenji. Fukuchi mentions he “needs to control half the nations’ armies” in order to carry out whatever plan he has, and it’s probably safe to say this has already come to fruition since he threatened to set the vampire army in motion if One Order wasn’t unlocked.
The likelihood of a character like Shirase appearing without being a vampire is much, much lower than Adam, and for more reasons than just because he’s a regular human. Shirase has no ability and is not named after an author or any other real-life person (that I know of), therefore it’s very unlikely he’ll be revealed to have one unless he wields an ability weapon like Fukuchi’s sword. Which is also highly unlikely. Given these conditions, he’s probably already been turned into a vampire along with the rest of the organization he joined. Another possibility for his inclusion is just to be killed off (by, perhaps, a vampire Chuuya). Or he might make a joint appearance with Adam, but I still doubt he’ll be a major character unless he’s there to die to further the plot.
Not to mention Asagiri has mentioned many times that Chuuya’s story is a long one that’s full of hardships, so perhaps one of those hardships may just be having to kill an old friend.
Sorry Shirase fans, but that’s just my thoughts on the matter.
From here on, I’ll be discussing Mori and how he’s appeared and disappeared throughout major story arcs and how he’s interacted with the ADA since the cannibalism arc. I know he’s apparently a controversial character to talk about because of his ability and the comments he makes about underage girls and whatever, so if you don’t feel like reading this part, that’s fine.
In case you’re interested in another character appearance, I have added a few honorary mentions at the bottom of this post.
Mori Ougai
Port Mafia Boss. Underground doctor. Ex-military doctor. A third of the Tripartite Framework. And one half of the first version of soukoku before it was known as soukoku.
His titles honestly don’t mean much to me as the only thing he continuously claims to motivate him is his position as the Boss, which is reasonable as his entire livelihood is dependent on the organization and its success. He fills his role well as a clear villain character with extremely black if not straight up non-existent morals, which we get plenty of examples of during the Dark Era, the Guild arc, and even the Cannibalism arc. The currently arc also proves that he’s both willing to provide some aid to the ADA, as well as make manipulative requests of them despite the horrible position they’re in currently for his own potential benefit. He is truly, wholeheartedly, an evil character.
What I want to focus on the most is his hand in moving the pieces on the chess board, so to speak. We know that Dazai and Dostoy are both sitting on the board, presumably in control of every piece, but is that really true? Remember, Dazai is only the way he is because Mori manipulated and taught him to be that way, which we can see from the parallels in how they act when making threats or doing something morally wrong. The comparison between Dazai’s attitude and Mori’s in chapter 30 is telling enough, seeing that Mori’s expression when he murdered the previous Boss 8 years ago (as well as when he talks with Hirotsu in this chapter) is almost identical to the one Dazai makes as he says his thinly veiled threat to do the same to Mori. The anime makes these expressions even more similar than they are in the manga, but I take everything studio bones does with a heavy grain of salt at this point… And not just with BSD
The last time we saw Mori was when he was mentioned in chapter 91 as the liaison who informed Tanizaki and Kenji that it was time to come out of hiding. He appeared normal and not infected by the vampire virus, which isn’t much of a surprise to me. Stormbringer showed that he’s more than capable of avoiding death, and by proxy, avoiding the master assassin Verlaine. It wouldn’t be much of a stretch to assume he was able to avoid the hive mind army of vampires that are just regular soldiers, and most of the ability users that have been infected are mafioso who Mori is very familiar with. However, whether or not he’ll intervene in the prison arc is not what I plan to discuss here.
The previous two characters would only make sense to appear in the prison because of their relationship to Chuuya and their location. Mori is Chuuya’s Boss, sure, and sure he probably wants to keep Dazai alive and on his radar, but Mori is still in Japan and knows that Meursault isn’t a place to be taken lightly.
No, I think Mori is about to become a player in the battle against Fukuchi.
My evidence isn’t necessarily anything concrete or even any foreshadowing, such as with chapter 84 when it was pretty obvious that Akutagawa was going to show up to aid Atsushi when he was saying he was all alone, or back in chapter 31 where it was obvious that soukoku was going to reunite for a big fight.
Fukuzawa, so far, has been the only person capable of standing up against Fukuchi alone and not being beaten within seconds (except Tachihara, but, well… yknow). So this alone is interesting to me because Fukuzawa is one of the strongest fighters in the ADA, and arguably one of the strongest fighters in the entire story considering his ability has nothing to do with his raw swordsmanship and martial arts skills. Keeping that small fact in mind, I want to jog your memory of the battle that happened in chapter 50 between Fukuzawa and Mori. Both of them are afflicted with the cannibalism virus, which is probably causing them to feel horrible with symptoms, but they still face off in a 1v1 that looks a little unfair. Mori has his ability, Elise, that does whatever he tells it to do and is basically a highly skilled and deadly combat ability. Fukuzawa, while still an ability user, only has his sword and his physical talents. His ability is a support ability that works on his subordinates, he can’t use it to fight like Mori or Fukuchi. However, he still holds his ground extremely well and even destroys Elise within minutes if not seconds of the fight starting, and Fukuzawa deals the fatal blow to Mori first. Even though Mori also severely wounds Fukuzawa just seconds later, it’s more important that this fight showed us that they are practically equal in combat skill. Not to mention Natsume makes an appearance to tell the two of them to stop fighting since both of their organizations need to survive to uphold the Tripartite Framework, which is something they both agree to disagree on basically.
There’s also the events of Dead Apple where, while under the effects of Shibusawa’s fog, Mori and Fukuzawa are fighting their own abilities and struggling. However, when they meet and switch opponents, they easily take down the other’s ability. They even share a few lines of dialogue that shows they’re familiar with each other’s fighting styles and tricks, similar to their explosive meeting in chapter 30 during the Guild Arc.
Now let’s look at the situation Fukuzawa is in right now. His subordinates are in all danger, and the only one that could potentially be coming to his aid is Atsushi, which is a possibility that I’ll mention at the end of this post. However, doesn’t this setup of our protagonists in a life-or-death situation with no help in sight, seem a little familiar to you?
Dazai was surrounded by soldiers in chapter 31 when Chuuya arrived to (begrudgingly) help him out, on Mori’s orders. Dazai was literally dead in Dead Apple when Chuuya showed up to punch him in the face (deserved) to save him.
Atsushi rarely wins on his own, but with Akutagawa’s help and the singularity created by their combined abilities, they’re able to defeat almost any enemy. And when Atsushi was desperate for help in chapter 84, Akutagawa arrived, even if it was on Dazai’s orders.
Fukuzawa is currently losing the fight against the OP time traveling stabby stick wielding grandpa, putting him in a dire situation of trying to save the ADA while not dying in the process. So, will Mori come out from wherever he’s hiding to provide aid to Fukuzawa? Will zenki soukoku come back and parallel the other soukoku’s reuniting/working together to defeat the big bad? It’s hard to say, honestly, but I do believe it’s entirely possible considering Mori has been strangely missing in the story after agreeing to aid the ADA. Well, the ADA needs aid. Badly. And it’s about time they finally got some.
I think Fukuzawa and Mori have the potential to defeat Fukuchi together considering their both equal in strength, so perhaps putting their finely tuned skills together is what will prove to be our deus ex machina that defeats Fukuchi’s self-induced deus ex machinas that are honestly getting pretty damn tiring at this point.
There’s also the fact that Mori had originally agreed to aid the ADA on the condition that one of their members transfers to the Mafia, so perhaps Mori showing up to aid Fukuzawa will be a manipulation tactic to force them to agree to let him choose who he wants to join, since he only actually wants Yosano out of the deal. However, it’s possible that maybe Tanizaki will be the one to change organizations? He did offer to go in Yosano’s stead in chapter 65 when the deal was originally proposed by Mori, who straight up lied about what Fukuzawa told him over the phone that the one person Mori couldn’t choose was Yosano. Mori is a very, very smart man, so he probably knows that if he forces the ADA into enough of a corner under the guise of helping them, he can get what he wants out of them as well. He could also allow the majority/some of the ADA members to die or come close to force Yosano to heal them and work for him one way or another, since we saw in her backstory in the military that Mori isn’t above shooting someone to make Yosano heal them because now they’re “close to death”. He most likely hasn’t changed much in those ways over the years, so I’m expecting to see some extreme manipulation taking place on his part if he does come back into the story.
Honorable mentions that came to mind as I was working to gather potential suspects:
Atsushi
He’s there, kind of, I guess. So much of the arc recently has been like 2 pages of one perspective before changing to the next that I’m not even sure if he’s still the main protagonist anymore. /j
Since he’s also at the airport where this whole *gestures wildly* thing is happening between the two Fuku’s, it would make sense that he at least shows up during the fight. We also know he’s actively looking for Fukuzawa because he can’t decide on what to do next now that he knows what the DOA is after.
The only way I see Atsushi being implemented in the battle is if he gets super upset or angry over seeing all his friends and coworkers in serious trouble, and either Fukuzawa releases his ability (if that’s even possible) from Atsushi and allows him to use the full power of the White Tiger to fight Fukuchi, which could potentially defeat the time-traveling sword since the Tiger’s claws can cut through abilities. The other option is he goes feral? I don’t really know to be honest. Maybe he just gets his ass beat again by Fukuchi. Who knows. I’ll just be over here preparing the party poppers for Kunikida’s promotion I guess.
Verlaine
Why? For fun.
He’s never appeared in the main story line since he lives in the Port Mafia’s basement basically. But considering the Mafia kinda went up in flames (or vampires, I guess) it’s possible he’s on the move now. Whether he’d appear in the jail, to save Chuuya, or appear at the airport, potentially under Mori’s orders, I honestly don’t know. But, since he’s part of the Mafia and another character we haven’t seen, and the cover of volume 22 as well as other official artwork has been featuring several Stormbringer and Sheep references, some people believe we might be seeing someone from that cast of characters in an upcoming chapter. But honestly I think they might be on as much copium as I am…
It would be funny to see Verlaine show up and just crush Fukuchi in like 3 seconds while the rest of the protagonists couldn’t defeat him though.
Ango?
We see Ango last in chapter 95 when it’s revealed he’s the one that demanded a seal be put on One Order, at Dazai’s request as part of his plan to counter Dostoy. He hasn’t been a big player in this arc beyond being the coordinator early on for the ADA’s moves, but since they all were reunited and came up with their own plans, he’s been more active as just a background character acting on the messages from Dazai. But, since he is the final piece of the Tripartite Framework, I thought I’d just mention him here as well. Natsume clearly wants the three organizations to work together, so I wouldn’t be surprised if Dazai has also given Ango a message or plan to relay to Mori. I don’t think he’ll ever be a super big part of the current events, though, just more of the background coordinator.
The Guild?
We kind of see them and then we don’t. We know Fitzgerald wants to work with whoever is winning, which as far as we know, he thinks is going to be the ADA. He was giving them aid in exchange for Yosano healing Mitchell, but we don’t really see anything come after this agreement is made? Atsushi and Kyouka get into one ambulance with Mitchell inside to bring her to Yosano, and at the same time, Yosano (along with Tanizaki and Kenji) are attacked by the government who set up their own trap unknown to Fitzgerald and Atsushi. We know Fitzgerald didn’t set them up because in the first few pages after we see the government attacking, we see Fitzgerald explaining why he didn’t go with the 74 plans Alcott prepared that included selling out the Agency’s location. Technically, it only happened because Tachihara is a Hunting Dog, so he betrayed the location of the meeting since Mori sent him and the other Black Lizard captains for security, and Tachihara is using his metal manipulation to pretend as if there’s an ability user attacking them with the government so they have to retreat after Kenji is severely injured. He’s also there to prevent Atsushi from reuniting with Yosano just a few minutes later. Which is truly impressive since he’s technically fighting himself the entire time? Wow is that symbolism of him as a character if I’ve ever seen it, that’s for sure. Not to mention he also stabs himself with Gin’s knife, just *chefs kiss* of a character I really wish he wasn’t killed/vampire-d whatever the fuck happened because he deserved so much better. But anyway, we never see the Guild again after this. So we have no idea what they’re currently doing, nor have we seen the other branch of the “Guild” that Steinbeck created at the end of the Guild arc since the end of that arc. So, I doubt they’ll come back.
The Clock Tower?
They’d have jurisdiction over Meursault, but it’s hard to say if they’ll step in. They haven’t been a part of the story at all beside Agatha’s little cameo from chapter 12. On a side note, I believe Agatha’s ability will be something along the lines of causing death in accordance to the lines in the poem “Ten Little Soldiers” (obviously I’m not putting the original name here) since her ability is named after the mystery novel And Then There Were None that’s about ten people dying on an island of various means that follow the reasons in the rhyme of the poem. It’s quite interesting, actually. But back to my main point, I don’t really see why they would suddenly come into the story now. If anything, they might appear if Fukuchi decides to try and use his vampire army against the governments of the world and create a world-wide coup d’etat with One Order.
Is this a copium-driven fever dream of a hope to have? Haha, fuck yeah it is! But I’ll let the copium win today if it means having at least a little hope that Fukuchi’s arc of shitty OP-ness will come to an end soon. Please. Asagiri I’m begging. I’m on my knees. Just PLEASE
Anyways, that's my thoughts on the matter. This theory was a little out there and not really based on too much evidence, but I still felt the need to write up this post, or else the brainrot might actually get my final braincell and it'd be all downhill from there.
As always, I hope you enjoyed, and thanks for reading. If you have your own idea of what you think will be the thing to defeat Fukuchi, feel free to say it in the comments or send a message to my Inbox on my profile. We can cope theorize together :)
**i just finished editing this oh my god this is so long i’m sorry i just had a lot of brainrot about this and i’m desperately awaiting whatever is going to end Fukuchi to the point i want to do it myself

Been going through tonight's Chimera!Emmet posts, and I have a couple thoughts. First of all, your example of "If you chopped up a bunch of brains and sewed them together, you'd get a new consciosness" honestly might not be that accurate. Assuming someone did have the technology to make a functioning brain out of that, not only are brains kinda cracked on how much bullshit they' can they're capable of, it's surprisingly common for people to live almost completely normal lives with upwards of half their brains flat out missing; but having multiple identities sharing a brain space is a thing, as seem with Dissasociative Identity Disorder, though you might only know it as the outdated name of Multiple Personality Disorder. Ofcourse, none of that is accounting for how much psychological trauma such an operation would result in. And is completely powerless to the point of it being your AU, you can do whatever the hell you want. Other than that, I think it's sort of confusing to call this AU "Chimera Emmet AU" If Emmet's dead. It's not wrong per se, given that Emmet was used as part of the Chimera. But I feel the name implies that calling it "Chimera Emmet" implies that Emmet would still be in there somewhere. Sorry if all that came off as negative by the by. I mostly just wanted to talk about how damn weird our brains are, and why people might be confused about the relationship between Agee and what they used to be.
On your points:
1: this is pokemon so people's ability to do shit is significantly heightened. The idea is that just about every brain from every being in Agee contributed a part of each major sector of the brain therefore no real "ruling" on which part would (in an instance where all entities are conscious during activity) have greater standing.
Also, chopping up brains and sewing them together is not how the scientists literally made Agee. It's an example. In my little think-piece world (and please mind that I am working on limited knowledge and stretching a lot because none of this can actually happen), each brain was dissected, tested for certain responses, broken down, had their DNA sequences altered to a spliced and edited sequence via a man-made virus while the bodies were under immunosuppressants, and collected into a vat with some sciency goo that is full of embryonic stem cells that are stimulated to take the bits of the brain already provided and stitch all the necessary bits together using new cells. Is it unrealistic? Hell fucking yes it is but shshshshshsh don't worry. I monsterfied him. It's all gucci.
2: I'm fully aware DID's existence, don't get it twisted. And you are right, my story specifically involves Agee being their own being and not multiple personalities. It kinda ruins what I'm going for. I didn't make claim that multiple personalities can't exist in the same brain, just that it's certainly not happening here and definitely not happening solely in part to 4 different brains being frankensteined together, seeing as DID is a trauma response primarily and the majority of Agee's memory of what happened before consciousness is not really there.
3: Chimera Emmet AU is kinda grandfathered in at this point. The au started a whole lot differently. I even had an og name for Agee- Galemartross- that got totally scrapped in favor for Agee. Chimera Emmet AU is just meant to encapsulate the premise of the AU in an easily understandable way. Emmet. He's a Chimera now. Read more to find out what the fuck is going on. I just started with Chimera Emmet Au when I first drafted concepts and I'm not changing it now
Hope that covered everything =w=

Unmedicated ADHD Theories: Gira Isn't People Edition
Basically what it says in the title: Gira isn't people.
What is Gira? A combination of human, Shugod, and Bugnarak.
We know he's at least a little human because A) look at him and B) he has enough human DNA to be related to Racules in a DNA test. We saw in the crossover episode that he has Kuwagata's soul inside of him (hence why he can henshin when separated from Kuwagata and why he talks to all the gods). And we know the soul isn't in Kuwagata so the only other logical conclusion is that it's in Gira.
As for being part Bugnarak (besides some interesting shots of the next episode) Gira is very durable. He routinely survives things he shouldn't be. Like falling off a cliff or being electrocuted. (Remember that when we were introduced to the lie-detector--helmet Shiokara needed to be revived with CPR while Gira walked it off). He's surprisingly hard to kill, kind of like the Bugnarak. The Bugnarak routinely survived things we wouldn't expect them to and Jeramie is 2,000 years old. They're a very durable species..kind of like Gira.
But why? (This is where things get fun.)
Gira was created by King Corsus to be used as a weapon against the Bugnarak. Potentially with the help of Double D since the previous kings of Shugoddam have worked with him and it would explain "I'll show them who you really are." And, maybe, just maybe, with the other previous kings. Here's a short list of what Corsus would need to make this happen: advanced tech, an intricate knowledge of genetics, Bugnarak DNA. And potentially just the agreement of the other kings. All things the other kings of Chikyuu could help him in obtaining.
Further evidence: Gira went missing 15 years ago. But no one in Shugoddam knew. Racules says they "kept it a secret" but what if they didn't tell anyone because they didn't need to? Gira should've been easily recognizable by people as the prince, but he lived among them for years without people knowing. Himeno, who was born into royalty, definitely should've known Racules has a younger brother named Gira who went missing 15 years ago. But we've seen no evidence of that. The only records Rita found in Shugoddam that could coroberate Gira's story was the kitchen records about Rainbow juria. No mention of birth records.
And if Gira had gone missing and they'd truly "looked everywhere for him" as Racules claimed, then Himeno, Rita, and Kaguragi would've already known Racules had a missing younger brother named Gira. But they didn't know.
Almost like Gira was a secret Corsus was keeping from everyone outside a select few in the castle. As if he didn't want people to even know about Gira's existence.
Here's what I think happened: Corsus created Gira to be used as a weapon against the Bugnarak (and maybe even Double D) believing that being a combination of Chikyuu's three species would make him powerful and durable. Corsus had Gira, secretly, raised as the second prince and Racules brother so Gira would feel intensely loyal to Shugoddam and Racules. So if anything happened to Corsus, Gira would still do as Racules said. Racules was eventual told the truth about Gira (probably in the flashback where we see Boshimar coming to get him because Corus wanted to speak with him). Potentially, Corsus was hoping the fate of Shugoddam and humanity hanging on this would override Racules' feelings for Gira.
(Or he hoped Racules would stop having fondness for Gira after learning Gira wasn't really a person.)
But this is where his plan backfired. Young Racules loved his brother and couldn't accept what his father had planned for Gira. So, he overthrew his father and disappeared Gira for his own safety. He threw all his effort into unlocking the OhgerCaliburZero, and gaining some control over the other kings, hoping that would be enough to stop the Bugnarak and appease Double D. And it all goes according to plan right up until the moment Gira came back.
TLDR: Gira is a "Frankenstein's monster" that Corsus created to use against the Bugnarak (maybe even with the help of Chikyuu's other previous kings). When Racules learned the truth, he overthrew his father and disappeared Gira.

(Also if you were that one person who saw one of the two times i accidentally published this I am very sorry)
First of all, Basic info about him
It's name is Michael Pepper, he's around 20 years old, he's agender and aroace (Because I can, He also uses He/It and ocasionally They for reasons I will later give) He used to be a lab experiment (I dont know if that's the word) and he would be a crypto biologist
So, before he joined The Society he worked/helped a guy (neutral) called Dr Indigo Lief (another alternate version of an oc! I sure have a lot of these guys) with their experiments after the person who used to work with them died, the person who died and Indigo used to work trying to make potions but with Michael they basically studied different types of creatures and animals, things like that but they also experimented on Michael
A bunch of this experiments left Michael with things like the flowers (They are a part of it and can't be cut off) Its eyes and hands being like that (He has better vision than most and if he touches any plants with his hands then they wilt/die) In the last experiment they did, Indigo basically injected Michael with a "parasite" (They didn't tell Michael what it was just said 'Its better if you don't know')
Now, one thing about Indigo is that they're a shapeshifter and was interested in "Hey, what would happen if I basically made part of myself into a liquid, then mixed it with a bunch of stuff and injected it into a person? wouldn't that be crazy?" and that was what they injected Michael with, and then some days later they dissapeared
Michael then just decided to say "Fuck this" (It should have said that way before this) and decided to join The Society
Onto the more Tgs related stuff
Michael immediately upon joining was basically interrogated by Jekyll who was somewhat very concerned about what was going on with all that stuff, Michael told him some of the stuff and Jekyll offered to do a check up on him but Michael just said no, he doesn't have a good relationship with doctors and it would not trust Jekyll that much
He would have joined a bit before Jasper, As some of the doodles say, it usually prefers to just listen to people rather than talk so he would get along well with some of the more talkative lodgers but also in my mind it would get along well with Ito, Majaibi, Sinnet and also Flowers, also in my mind pretty much all of the lodgers know some basic info about what happened to it because whenever one of them asked Michael would just say "Don't let people experiment on you" or something like that
Also he is definitely very much permanently banned from Bird and Archers Lab because of the plants dying when it touches them
Whenever Jasper arrives Michael definitely would try and befriend him, I think it would be one of the few times that Michael would actively try to make friends with someone because it doesn't like most people but Michael would be excited to try and talk to someone who would be interested and know similar stuff just like him who wouldn't try to experiment on him
Also, with the Frankenstein stuff, I think he would be a part of the 'Easygoing' lodgers who went along with Frankenstein because everyone else did or wouldn't really care about her
Some last stuff, Indigo dissapeared because they're now is basically inside of Michael, Most of the time they just exist inside their mind while not doing anything, just sort of watching Michael live its life, Some rare days they can go out and try to do their own stuff for a few days before they have to go back (Even if they are a lot shorter than before because of not having all of them) (Also, in that time they decided to help The Society and be one of their patrons) The rest of the time they can sort of possess Michael's body
One of the main differences between Possessed Michael and Normal Michael are that while being possessed, their eyes change from having a black sclera and off-white/pastel pink irises to an indigo sclera and golden irises, their hair becomes more red-ish, and also the air around them when possessed has a lot of static because of some stuff with Indigo (that I wont explain because that would mean getting into the Indigo lore and if I do that this end up way more long than it already is) and because of that their hair does that thing where it goes up, and they don't have to touch plants to make them die, just be near them
And that's all :D! That ended up being kinda long but that's pretty much all of it, im pretty sure I forgot some things but I'll leave it at that

Making MT
The character that went through the most changes over the years (by far) is MT himself. I could write a whole essay about the process of getting MT to the look he has now.
Tumblr media
I'll just point out a couple of things here:
First are the eyes. MT's eye colors changed a lot throughout the years.
Tumblr media
They seemed to have become more and more yellow over time. At first, I had the idea that MT was made out of multiple animal parts just "frankensteined" together. I gave him one blue eye and one brown eye, both from different creatures (not heterochromia). I remember that his right eye was not connected correctly, which meant he was blind in one eye. (you can kind of see that in this image)
Tumblr media
Later on, I got a bit lazy when drawing it (the first sketch here is more of a simplification to just show the colors), so I just put an X on his right eye to show that it was faulty. I also remember that I yellowed the eyes a bit to make it look a bit less bright and lively.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Later, I decided to change the eye colors because I just thought MT's design could use some more uniformity. I wanted to pick a color that was already in Topper's design for MT's eyes. I decided to go with yellow eyes to match his bowtie. That's all there was to it. I also just got rid of that X for some reason. Probably because I thought it wasn't needed because it was supposed to represent MT having two different eyes? The next two designs were just stuff I made in close succession (compared to the other stuff). At this point, I pretty much gave up on the organic eyes, and replaced them with artificial ones. This was probably also the time where the original MT story was scrapped for the one with Silvea that everyone knows about, so the whole "frankensteining" thing wasn't an option anymore. I was just scrambling to find out how his eyes would look, and how they worked. I had a lot of drawings where his eyes were slightly different.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It also looks like four different people drew all of these. I guess I just liked to mess around with different artstyles back then (just for fun/the challenge. I wasn't trying to "find my artstyle")
I ended up liking that bottom-left one the most, which eventually led me to making MT's eyes the way they are currently.
The second thing I wanted to talk about is MT's "glow". I'm sure you remember seeing at least one image where MT was "lit up". Like this one, for example:
Tumblr media
(and this)
Tumblr media
MT glows in places where most of his power source is stored/being used. It was a trait he had for a while now, but apparently when I first came up with that idea...
Tumblr media
...he was blue.
Tumblr media
I actually forgot all about this fact until I recently saw the concept sketch (above). I changed it to red because that fit his overall color scheme better. He already has a bunch of colors, and adding blue on top of all that seemed like too much. Blue and green (MT's main color), are analogous, but red and yellow were already on his design, and red and green are complementary anyway. The red also still works with MT's hair color. (figuring out MT's colors really is.. something, isn't it?)
Tumblr media
I also didn't think it made much sense for MT's abdomen and the base of his ear to be glowing.
Tumblr media
There's also this version, which is just when MT dims his lights voluntarily to make it easier for him to sneak up on people. It also allows people to talk to him for longer periods of time without their eyes burning from his bright yellow eyes.

WWAAAAAAAHHHHH I LISTENED TO DEVISER GUYS
TAKE MY LIVE POSTS (BUT GO LISTEN TO IT FIRST PLEASE IM BEGGING YOU)
1 - I feel like all the people in stasis are like, Son clones, and this is like some fucked up human experiment. Idk what's up with Dog, but there's something up with him
2 - I think the thing Son saw in the room was his own incinerated body
Also I'm absolutely LOVING this sound design :3
Hmmm.... Dad's voice changes when he's doing something else on the ship while talking.
I hope dog is okay :((
What the fuck.
"That my son, if I'm not mistaken, is the devil." WWAAHAHAHGGGGG
So.... religion has been in both of these episodes...
Dad called Son the Shepard to the passengers, their savior. Is Son, like, Jesus???? Like he's being reincarnated over and over to protect these people???? Making Dad like God??
3 - NOT DOG
I wonder what Dog might represent..
I SWEAR TO GOD IF DOG IS FUCKING JUDAS OR SOMETHING
"You are the ship, Dad, you're everything here." Hmmm. Like. I don't know, GOD?????
The ship is like earth... his creation...
EEWWWWW STOP PULLING OFF YOUR NAILS
They're not in space.....
Also reclamation means the process of claiming something back or setting it right. Or, like in le Bible, to redeem, regain, save or rescue.
God sent Jesus to fulfill a specific task, to find his lost children and reclaim them. It was Jesus' sacrifices that gave the people the opportunity for a new life.
4 - AAAAHHHHHH I WAS RIGHT EXCEPT HE DIDNT DIE
DOG NOOOOOOOOO
Dog's a robot...
SON SNAPPED DOGS NECK TO PUT HIM DOWN NOOOOOO IM SOBBING
Dog is in Hell....
So. This is like. A lab basically? Are the real gods testing Son to see if he can escape his nature? What WAS his nature before then? Are they TRYING to turn him into a Jesus figure?- and are using the Devils to see if he can beat them? Or like, resist them? And what is Dog?? What does dog have to do with all of this? Dog and Dad are the only two people Son can remember when he wakes up, and if Dad is meant to be a guiding voice to Son then what is Dog? Support? Something to keep Son happy? Despite not having any memories Son is INCREDIBLY attached to Dog, and trusts him and wants to protect him, and sobs when he dies, and calls him the only thing he ever loved. What is Dog.. it sounded like Dog is a robot, and the Burned Son kept talking about how "they'll cut Dog open, then Son will see". Is Dog a monitor for Dad and/or the Higher Gods? Or his he just another part of this experiment.
This episode.... it actually makes me feel really sick thinking about it.......
5 - Deviser means an inventor, a creator, a planner, a conceiver,
DEVISED, pp. Given by will; bequeathed; contrived. deviser. DEVISER, n. One who contrives or invents; a contriver; an inventor. devising.
Another dog...
OH MY FUCKING GOOOODDDDDDDDD
DOG REALLY IS FUCKING JUDAS HE LED SON INTO RECLAMATION
Also, Harlan, WHAT DO YOU MEAN WHEN YOU SAID "IM NOT THAT GOOD OF A VA" YES YOU ARE
6 - 2 more episodes to go :3
Dad is.. an artificial God, an artificial creator
"Hate is not an aspect of humanity" THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN DAD WHO TOLD YOU THAT
THE BIBLE I KNEW IT
Oh Dad... Frankenstein's monster WAS humanity incarnate..... not pure evil.... Son killed humanity.
DAD FRANKENSTEIN IS NOOOTTTT A STORY OF GOOD AND EVIL 😭😭😭
Ew.... what the fuck did Dad do... why didn't he try to make himself human??? Did he try to model himself after the aliens in the story???? Or did he try to model himself after God or some other Gods??
7 - evil trolley problem....
Oh my god.....
I don't really know what to say
So Dad and Son aren't LITERALLY God and Jesus, it's more of the narrative Dad created. And whether or not Dad realizes it that's the implication he created. It could be intentional, the Bible was one of his listed sources of information.
And Dog isn't Judas, he was just another creation to test Son.
ALSO I was right about the clone thing :)c
